As of build 54595, the Enchanted Treasure Chest is missing from the home instance in Black Citadel.
It does appear in Rata Sum, the Grove, Divinity’s Reach, and Hoelbrak. It’s just Black Citadel that does not have it!

Went to do the story today on one of my alts, and noticed that Taimi vanished from the staging area after Amber Sandfall. Doesn’t seem to impair progress of the story, but seemed weird.
It’s something that guilds have asked for, but there’s been no promises made. I wouldn’t say that means it’s dead, it’s just not something they’ve been able to dedicate resources to as of yet.
Our record was on the current iteration of SB. We only compare to current content, exactly because changes to the fight make it impossible to equate them.
It was a 42 second kill, with no portals spawning before he died. Video is here…
Attuned [ATT] is a guild that formed out of the NA first TT Wurm kill. We led the world first Breach and Vinewrath successes, and hold the record for the fastest Shadow Behemoth kill. We’ve now added another achievement to our record.
Tonight, we killed the Claw of Jormag in 2 burns – one for phase one, one for phase two. Overall time – 5 mins, 50 secs (according to the event timer).
We had some great folks on the map join us for this event. If you want more information about Attuned and what we do, you can check us out at http://attuned.enjin.com/
Here’s the link of our CoJ speed kill. Enjoy!
It’s not impossible, just very very VERY hard.
Going by the number of Hallowe’en finishers I have, I estimate that it took me 310K+ ToTs to finally get my Mini Gwyn. This was about 2 weeks after a friend who estimates way more than that got his.
So I can confirm they are still coming out of ToTs. You just have to be uber dedicated to it.
For all the folks who are saying “an exotic set isn’t much money”, please try to remember it’s all about perspective.
A slice of bread might not be much in the way of ‘food’ to you, but it’s a day’s meal to a starving child.
Similarly, we have no idea of the net worth of the OPs account, and minimalizing the impact this has on him is unfair.
If he says it’s a lot of money to him, accept him at his word.
AGAIN. Complete a support ticket. Explain that you didn’t realize that you could do a support ticket to MAYBE solve the issue.
What’s the worst that can happen, they say no? And you’re right where you are now? But potentially they could restore the armor to the pre-bound state for you.
It’s worth a shot.
Derigar, I would STRONGLY recommend that you do NOTHING with this armor, and open up a support ticket and see if there is any way they can help you.
My personal experience with CS has been that for the most part, they are more than willing to help people who have made mistakes or not understood some aspect of the game.
Best of luck!
Risks, sure. Having random decisions from the Big Brother change the balance of things, sry, feels unjustified.
I’m sorry, but this is the very NATURE of speculation….
You are trying to guess what MIGHT become more valuable over time, based upon it only being available for a short period.
Knowing as we all do that they have put the special dye kits into the BLC, this is not an area that would be a great area to speculate in.
As for it being a random decision….. again, they’ve done it for EVERY SINGLE OTHER dye pack.. why did you think this one would be any different.
I’m not trying to be mean here – I speculate on a lot of stuff too, and I have both gained and lost money doing it. But it sounds like you are blaming ANet for you losing money on a speculation investment because they did what they’ve been doing all along.
Yeah, heaven forbid that people who speculate should run any risks.
Well, the fastest way to acquire the necessary gold, of course. My question is, essentially, if I do choose to craft both Twilight and Sunrise, will doing so take longer than acquiring the money for Eternity? Each legendary would take about one month, right? So that’d be around two months for both of them. Would I be able to get the money for Eternity in a time period shorter than two months?
Again, I don’t know how you acquire your gold, so no way to gauge how long it would take you.
There’s lots of ways – you could become a TP Baron, you could farm SW, you could run dungeons 24/7, etc etc.
As for it taking 1 month per legendary, again, that assumes a lot of things. Only you can know if that’s a reasonable goal for you.
I will point out that you can currently sell Sunrise and Twilight for 2400g-3100g and Eternity for 2950g-3080g respectively. If you sold outright, even factoring in the TP tax of 15%, you’d get 4550g (rounded). That’s enough to buy the Eternity for the currently lowest price of 4040g and have roughly 500g left over to spend.
i stop, after i crafted my fourth legendary. at the of day it just a skin.
Well, to clarify, it’s not exactly true that it’s ‘just a skin’. They do have a special skin but there are other things to factor into it than just appearance, some or none of which may matter to any particular person, but are true nonetheless.
1) Like Ascended weapons, Legendaries are account bound rather than soulbound. This makes them far more flexible than exotics, which are soulbound on use.
2) Legendaries let you select stats for your weapons, making them more flexible than Ascended weapons, which are restricted to the stat they are crafted for.
3) Legendaries are guaranteed to always be ‘top stat’. Even if (God forbid) ANet were to put in another tier between Ascended and Legendary, Legendary will still be ‘king of the hill.’ So no worries about gear creep.
4) Legendaries have not one but two achievements related to them. (again, which may or may not interest people).
5) Legendaries are, for some, a long term goal that guides them in their wanderings in the game. It doesn’t mean you have to do it, but it’s something you CAN work towards and get a sense of accomplishment from.
Without knowing what route you’d go to get the gold, there’s no way to answer your question.
As for the comment above, everyone is entitled to their opinions. For the record, here’s mine…
I made my Sunrise on New Year’s Eve of 2012. Loved it, and wasn’t a huge fan of the Twilight skin, so didn’t ever plan to make Eternity, and basically give up TWO Legendaries to get back one, whose skin half the time would be one I didn’t like.
However, when the re-vamp came for Eternity, I re-assessed, and realized that actually the Twilight skin had grown on me. Add on the special effects that Eternity gets over and above it’s day/night visuals, and I had to have it.
I made Twilight, and then put the two together. And I don’t regret it for a second.
Yes, I could have had two legendary weapons instead of one, but the effects on Eternity are, in my opinion, gorgeous, and at the end of the day, gold in game is just pixels. So I traded some pixels (gold) for others (effects) and am quite happy with it.
Honestly, that’s what I’m hoping for. When Mini Kasmeer came out, she was not forgeable like the Mini Scarlet et al. However, it was at least tradeable. They did subsequently fix this, so I’m hoping that they will make the new Super Minis either tradeable or forgeable (ideally both).
It’s software. It will have bugs. Anet will determine that some bugs will be more important to fix than others.
Personally, can think of SEVERAL bugs that came out with the latest patch, for which there are no workarounds, that are more important to focus on.
How did you know these versions are account bound? Have you gotten any from these chests today or are you talking about the ones you already have?
As I mentioned in my original post, I got 3 already – all accountbound.
I’m seeing some curious behaviour from the minis that were previously available through the gemstore that have been put into the Black Lion Chests, specifically the The Mini Super Monkey, Mini Super Spider, Mini Super Bee Dog, Mini Super Yeti, Mini Super Raccoon, and Mini Super Banana, which were added as rare drops.
If you get them from a Black Lion chest, all appear to be account bound, but only SOME appear to be forgeable.
For anyone who already has them, they are a completely wasted item to get from a Black Lion Chest, because there’s nothing that can be done with them, except let them take up space or delete them.
If they were forgeable, there’d at least be a purpose to them, but as it is, they are the new Queen Jennah, without even the benefit of having a dedicated ‘collections’ slot.
Can an Anet’er confirm if there is even a chance that in the future, they will be forgeable? I got the Super Yeti, the Super Beedog, and the Super Monkey. Of those 3, only the Yeti can be put into the forge, and I strongly suspect that this is because of the recipe for the Super Assasin:
OP, I recommend you remove the image.
Why?
They just ban hammered That_Shaman I believ
Ooc, what makes you say this?
So, I’ve gotten 4 or 5 of the emails in game in the last few days from people pretending to be ANet GM’s (despite the warning message in the mail that clearly show they aren’t).
Most were the usual “Your account will be shut down unless you click on this link” format (again, ignoring that you CAN’T click on a link in game – boy how DUMB are these people?) but today I got a new variant.
If you don’t have it, you’re missing out, imho.
I have to say, mine is one of my most valued pieces in my GW/GW2 collection. I’ve taken it with me to Pax and Anet parties for the last 5 years and it’s full of autographs along with a Kekai Kotaki sketch that he free drew for my daughter.
I’m going to suggest the possibility that there are several ‘types’ of people they want in the Beta.
They’ll want people who play the game a lot. And people who play the game some. And people who only play a little. And people who haven’t played it at all before. (The last is based on the fact that at the demo booth at Pax East, they were inviting people to sign up for the beta, even if they’d never played GW2 before, by signing up for the newsletter.)
The reasoning behind this theory is that they want a wide representation of impressions of the expansion.
As for WHO they pick that fall into some of those categories, and the ‘other’ metrics that have been suggested on here, there are tons of possibilities.
Hours in game. Number of characters on account. Achievement points. Use of in game bug report feature. Posts on the official forums.
Bottom line is this…
The use of the phrase “One of the most loyal” has indeed rubbed some people who didn’t get an invite the wrong way because it made them feel that they weren’t ‘loyal’ enough.
I think we can all agree that ANet didn’t mean to imply that ONLY loyal people were getting an invite, but that doesn’t change that it could be interpreted that way.
I’m sure there are some people that they excluded from the Beta (people who repeatedly are given infractions on the forums comes to mind) because they will be looking for people who are willing to give them considered and constructive feedback. Other than that, I suspect that there were X number of slots for the various ‘types’ of players I mentioned and it was a lottery system.
So there will be LOTS of people in each category that ‘fit’ the description but it doesn’t mean all of them will be invited.
Edit to clarify -
Each profession will have a new ‘specialization’ based on a weapon – such as the Ranger “Druid/Staff” that they announced during the xpac announcement. Masteries are something completely different from specializations. So it is likely that those who buy HoT will be able to use their specialization in WvW. There’s been no confirmation about masteries being usable in WvW.

I have learned that on my laptop, if I am running on battery mode, the computer changes it’s settings and uses the integrated graphics card to save battery life. Are you using battery or plugged in when you get the glitches?
I have a support ticket in, hopefully that will get it resolved. I did ask, several friends were able to get through the process but I was not.
Currently, when I try to purchase gems (using either a CC or PayPal) I get an error message that says “Unfortunately an error has occurred. Please try again later!” in a red par across the top of the screen.
Anyone else currently having this issue?
Can pm me and I can let you know about our guild’s runs….
Thank you Inculpatus, that was pretty much what I needed to know to feel just that little bit safer! Much appreciated to know that there are precedents!
The point is nevertheless that my account will a) have existing authentication turned off, b) have password changed by someone other than myself, and c) have them access my account.
So, I recently logged a ticket for an issue. Got the standard “We’ve received your request”, “We’re looking into your request” emails, but then got one that said
“In order to investigate your case, I would like to request your permission to log in to your account. Please note that in doing this, we will need to change the account password and we temporarily will disable any authentication features that are present on the account. Once we have logged out of the account, we will re-enable e-mail authentication on your account, if you currently have it enabled, and we will reset the password for you once more as well. If you have enabled mobile authentication on your account, you will need to re-enable this feature manually after we have logged off of your account.
Please let us know if we may have your permission to proceed."
Now, this did come back to me as a reply in the thread for my ticket, but I’m curious if anyone else has ever had support indicate they needed you to disable authentication and let them log into your account (thereby changing your password) before?
Attuned [ATT] believes that ip .226 saw the world’s first kill of the Vinewrath boss! We want to thank the many folks on the map who joined us on our TS or worked with our commanders to achieve this record!
We will be posting a video of the fight shortly on this reddit thread:

Update: Our second kill was flawless, with no failed lanes. Great work to everyone on the map!
If you have toons that are stuck on a loading screen onto a particular map, one thing that I was advised by ANet is to guest to another world then log onto that toon. Worth a try. Best of luck.
I had similar issue where first toon got all rewards, second got all but for last chapter, so I have two of each of Mysterious Seed, Ley Line Infused Stone and Vial of Sacred Glacial Water but only one Pile of Phantasmal Residue. Posted here.
I think there’s a chance that it might not BE a bug, but instead an ‘easter egg’ of sorts to demonstrate that Mordremoth is interfering with the waypoint system.
Time will tell.
I completed Dragon’s Reach on my ranger and got the reward. When I did it on my thief, I didn’t get any reward.
The first toon I did it on, I had started the instance, but was in a party and all with me got the reward. The second toon, I was also in a party but had not created the instance; however the instance creator did get his reward.
I have double checked and the story is showing as completed for that toon.
I noticed earlier today that although I had 1 hour and 15 mins left on the counter for my metabolic primer, it was not applying correctly to food I ate, and the Slice of Candied Dragon Roll I ate showed only the 20 mins inherent to that food.
Umm…Rangers are not supposed to be able to dual wield swords. Just fyi….
Anytime you ‘change out’ a pet, the name resets. So, if you don’t keep that pet equipped, it’s name won’t save.
I had the same problem. Came in 3rd and 5th, neither time gave credit for the achievement.
While I understand what YOU meant by the guild name, you can see why others might read it as “Hard Core Pornography” and be offended, right?
I also found this problem. I was on map with IP address 64.25.38.228:0.
Can confirm that I was unable to find any ‘ghost spiders’ or ‘shadow fiends’. All the logger are dead, but there are no ‘displaced spirits’ to lead back to their corpses.
It was my first after reset – and my first that calendar day. Nothing was progressing for me – not daily kills, daily matches, or the reward track.
Today, I played a match of hotjoin, and realized partway through that my kills were not counting for the daily achievements. After the match ended, I also realized the match itself was not counting for Daily Matches played, I did a second, and again, kills and the match did not count. Moreover, despite my team winning both matches, I didn’t get any progress on my PvP Reward track.
Gaile, Munchkin is standing over my shoulder with a big smile on her face to see your name. We miss you tons, and hope to see you this summer around PAX time!
HUGS!
Shout out of thanks to the ANet Support team and GM Fluffy.
Long story short, I had an issue, and created a ticket. Despite it being the long weekend (Friday when ticket created) within 2 days I got an answer, and the problem was resolved.
I see way too any times when people are unhappy with support, and I’m sure they can’t fix every problem that’s out there, but I had to say how much I appreciated the great service and quick resolution of my issue.
Here is a list of some of the problems we frequently see with Guild Missions.
1) Mission Control – only someone with Mission Control rank can ‘Use consumables that activate Guild Missions. This works correctly in terms of taking a built Guild Mission and ’activating’ it and having it show up on the Guild Missions tab of the Guild interface page. However, when it comes to Rush, anyone in the guild can interact with the Guild Rush banner and ‘start’ the Guild Rush. This is in contrast to Guild Puzzle and Guild Challenge that require someone with Guild Mission Control to interact with their banners to start them.
2) Guild Puzzle – we have lately had many instances where we have successfully completed the puzzle, and members have remained in the zone, but at the end of the timer, our status doesn’t ‘update’ and so it looks like we haven’t done the puzzle. It still shows in our Guild Missions interface, with a 5 hour activation timer on it, but doesn’t give the Guild Merits even though people have gotten their individual rewards. Other times, we get a DR event notice (usually with Silver credit) saying “Event Failed” but the Guild Puzzle DOES update and the Guild does receive its merits.
3) Guild Rush – similar to the problem with Guild Puzzle, sometimes we get credit for completing the Guild Rush and sometimes we don’t. Because we tend to earn more merits in a week than we can spend, we often don’t wait in the zone for the Guild Rush timer to count down, but when we leave the zone, sometimes we get the “Guild Rush Completed” message and sometimes we don’t. Additionally, if we do stay in the zone until the end, sometimes we get credit, sometimes we don’t.
4) Guild Rush – if another guild is currently doing the Guild Rush when we arrive, our members can go through it and get the credit, even though the Rush belongs to another guild. By getting credit, I mean they get their personal reward chest as well as the large rush chest. However, when the other guild’s rush ends, if anyone in OUR guild that has done it accepts credit, it ‘finishes’ our rush, and prevents us from running it. To me, the ability to accept credit should only be done by someone with Mission Control, as even one person inadvertently accepting prevents everyone else from succeeding.
My guild is Amazon Basin, running on Stormbluff Isle.
One thing to keep in mind – with the Wardrobe, you don’t actually get unlimited legendaries – you just get the skins.
So the ability to change stats of your legendary while out of combat will not apply to the ‘re-skinned’ legendary. Nor will it have base ‘ascended’ stats unless you use an item with ascended stats and put your legendary skin onto it.
So, it might LOOK like that thief is running with Dual Incinerators, but both might just be skins, and they might be green base weapons.
Yes, I had the same experience just now.
Patch release times are never guaranteed. They specify the day, but beyond that, no particulars. Keep in mind that the ‘day’ means SERVER day. So it could very well come after midnight EU times. Hopefully not, but the possibility exists.
