imagine LA still there , go to WP by mystic forge, turn right and up stairs as if going towards traders/bank but go slightly left towards water, there is now an upwards slope there, then at the top turn left, go along a bit, jump down on to wooden walkway, at the end of that walkway(all broken now) you see stones and fire on your left, you have to go that way and round the back to get to the rest of the walkway.

Am I alone with the bug of never getting anything more than 3 Gifts for doing this puzzle? 2 days straight that is all I get. No items No tonics, nothing but 3 Giant Wintersday gifts…. Someone help what am I missing and how do I get my loot.

If they gave loot for this the market would crash at a guess, I can do this many times in 30 mins, and am on nearly 300 jumps completed, imagine if I got a loot chest for each of them

As said, use the mouse. Last year I was using keyboard, never made it once to the end, 3 months ago my friend suggested I use the mouse to turn, now that I am proficient in using the mouse I get to the gifts with between 1500 and 3000 health, and to the end around 1500-2500 health. i have managed 14 jumps in a 30 min period.
You need practice to get used to using mouse to turn

my armoursmithing has also gone to 0 !!!

I swapped from tailor to weaponsmithing and it is now at 0, i even have the achievement from when I got it to 400, did I do something wrong ?

I got to the top and went in to the “injection” instance, and after a minute I crashed again , since I started this thread I have played many hours if GW2 all around the world maps and the tower but only crash in the tower instances.

ok ty, i will wait to see if there is update in the next day or 2 before trying it again, just did nearly 2 hours elsewhere and no crashes, so it is the new content for me.

Twice inside the tower I have gone into the individual instances, twice my rig crashed after I get to the open area. Anyone else have this problem ?

To those who keep on going about “you missed this and that” , one of our own is on 23/24, he went round ALL of them and is still on 23 , then the 5 of us went round with him checking ALL 24, he is still on 23.

I have played one for over a year. the secret of living with squishy armour, semi useful turrets and useless traits ? RANGE ! I hit from max range at stuff, and can keep them off me for a few seconds at a time by using my turrets as bait. the grenades were nerfed months ago, and they were the only good kit there was, the flame thrower is useless and annoying. but I do love playing one

going from 0 to 400 in most crafts cost between 10 and 12 gold, depending how much stuff you already have(I know as I have all but 1 craft) , I might do my tailoring in that case , but that defeats the object of “a survivor” lol

Check Explorer achievements in H panel and confirm that Kryta, Orr, Maguuma, Shiverpeak, and Ascalon are all completed.

These achievements are not a part of the world completion as some areas do not have POI’s, hearts, skill points, vistas.

Try going to all zones again to make sure each area is at 100% and then the 4 WvWvW maps.

They did add 2 Poi’s to lions arch so make sure you have those as well.

I also remember reading that if you did not accept a chest for completing an area you will not get the 2 gifts once you reach 100% until that chest was completed.

And the 2 points in LA are not needed

what are you stuck on ? 99% or 100% ?

also you check your achievement section ? the 5 areas ? maguuma, ascalon etc. ? you need those too.

If you have 100% on all maps in PvE and 100% on all 4 maps in WvW and all 5 area achievement completion then I am not sure what it is storyline maybe ?

Have no problem with your current implementation, just wished when you hovered over it in the achievement section the tooltip would give you a hint of what was needed(a short version would do like "No death or map change, in one session ")

Got to Tier 2(500,000 XP without dying) and watched the achievement XP count go up, then at around 430,000 XP I got a phone call and died , lol, silly

Well I then decided to be safe and rack up the 500,000 needed , like a kitten, this time the count stayed at 430,000 ish and never reset or moved. I managed at least 3 full level 80 levelling(254,000 each) .

So, is this a bug ? as I managed over 3/4 of a million XP without dying ,and never got the achievement ?

mods : please don’t merge with the other FPS thread, I haven’t seen this mentioned before. My issue isn’t low FPS , but decent FPS ,slowly lowering over time, then crashing

The short of it is : If I set GW2 to lowest graphic setting, all ok. If I set it to Highest setting then I get 40 to 50 fps , and over 2 or 3 mins the FPS drop to 2 or 1 eventually , and then it crashes, this is whether I stand still in a quiet part of the game, or move about, whether I am alone, or there are 100 people doing Jormag or WvW.

My suspicions are memory leak, on top of the fact that GW2 is not optimised for SLI, as I noticed one Gcard hitting 100% , whilst the other stays below 20% , CPU hovers around 20-25% no matter what.

my setup is Win 7(64 bit) , GTX 670 X 2 , lots of RAM and SSD and top of range Mboard and 3rd gen i7 CPU, running 3 screens at 5880 by 1080.

footnote : for 2 mins ,with high graphics setting, I get to see the beauty of this game and it upsets me that I have to run it at min settings to never crash

M8 you have GTX560,have you read that maybe…….maybe these drivers are not for your card?I mean, i have GTX660 and im not using csaa X32……omg this one cant be handled not even from GTX590,and second the drivers that you have updated are beta and not official…………..BETA,for your card just unistall beta drivers and w8 for the official last build,nvidia is nvidia.

the gpu usage might be low but it SHOULD be balanced across both gpu’s.

dude, come on !!! lol, thanks for the advice, yes there is an SLI profile for GW2, but it looks like the game isn’t optimised for it, just check google with “Guildwars 2 SLI profile”

In regards your question concerning that thread, this is difficult to answer as I am not on the Development Team and so I don’t have any information on what was done with this information. This was, however, a good opportunity for us to get an idea of what sort of system setups were experiencing this issue and what sort of framerate these players were getting.

Unfortunately the best way to really assist players with these issues is one on one so that we can really narrow down any possible cause and have more ground to stand on as evidence that this is absolutely not a system related issue.

More evidence that GW2 is not optimized for multiple GPU card like my 5970.

- Crossfire IS enabled.
- Power Supply is 1000w — more than enough for 2 cards much less 1.
- Card is correctly bussed at PCI x16.
- GW2 is running in Full Screen mode, not Windowed
- On “Best Performance” Preset, FPS is around 15-18 in a mostly abandoned minor city.
- This performance on my specs (post above) is Laughable. Laughable. Laughable.

Also notice CPU is at 6% capacity with GW2 running minimized— usually it goes from around 6% – 8%.

And for those who like the CPU overclocking, clearly my system should run GW2 without the need to overclock. However, just for kicks, I tried a OC at 3.6 and 3.85. No change in FPS whatsoever.

Same here, 670s in SLI, one GPU maxes out, the 2nd one is doing nothing !!! I have FPS issues as per most of you, from 50 it goes down to 1 eventually standing in the same place, something is amiss !!!

I have a fast rig with decent graphics card(670GTX in SLI) and my issue is similar(ish)
At high res GW2 setting,it will run at 45 fps(i am running 5760X1080) and even standing in same spot the FPS starts dropping slowly until it hits 1 FPS, then game crashes.
At low res it runs forever, no crashes.
My guess is , heck dunno, no heating issues, no over clocking, re-installed Win 7 64 with nothing else, memory leak ?
i have given up and play in low res, not blaming Nvidia or Anet, can’t be bothered to worry about it anymore(and there are many 100s having similar issues,look for the BIG thread on it)

i doubt it, hence I drew my zone maps(just as squares with names in) and crossed each out when complete

I thought champion killing was a group event ? as in 5 or more ?

Thinking of working towards the “Predator” and looking at the complex requirements I decided, for fun, to approximate what I need.
Where I could I priced stuff for gold , and karma/skillpoint is approximate as the clover recipe is chance based.
basic requirements :
100s of hours of gameplay
100% world completion
level 400 in huntsman crafting
level 400 in leatherworker crafting
500 knowledge crystals(dungeons)
500 badges of honour(WvW)

925000 karma

I have a ton of Vanilla. I’m pretty sure there is a zone where there is a split chance of getting it from the herbs. I wanna say its a 15-25 zone, making it Herb Sprouts, but I can’t be sure.

Chili Peppers are the charr 1-15 I believe, also from Herbs I think, ‘Herb Seedlings’
