Back on track! The same thing happened again last night towards the end of the match, and then the firewall message popped up when I tried to queue again, I restarted the game and was stuck in a 10 minute queue until logging out. With this many people complaining about the same thing I think it’s safe to say A-net is having some server problems.

I didn’t have a single kill that entire game and my damage was below 100k.

Happens to me twice. Basically my whole team was lagging for about 30 secs then calm for a mi ute and then lag again.

That’s what I’ve experienced. I also noticed other forums complaining about server problems around the same times as the ATs, so that might have something to do with it.
I agree with condi thief and bunker rev, but I think power mesmer should be left untouched.
For a few reasons:
1. Mirror blades not hard to dodge
2. The target has to be CCed generally to land the combo
3. DH counters the kitten out it
4. Warrior counters the kitten out of it
5. Engi CAN counter it
6. Thief counters it
7. Necro CAN counter it
8. Theres plenty of reveal in this game
9. Have you heard of random dodging
10. Thank god we’re getting away from condi mesmers

I just had 4 noobs tell me that I was cheating because I was ‘teleporting around’ at 2k ping. I couldn’t even use my skills and a four queue is telling me that I’m at an advantage because of it.
So I just had 2k ping and my animations were 30seconds behind. The other team thought I was hacking I have screenshots of the entire thing. I couldn’t get stomped or ressed or even use my skills.
The ping dropped to 80 after I left the match. Not sure how to fix this since my router is completely fine.

From playing Dota2 a lot when something is obviously broken the dev’s fix it the next day generally. I understand there’s a lot of things that need balance in this game, but a good indication of something being broken is when there are 2 classes (for this game) playing the same exact thing. 80% of my matches from today have been against the s/d condi thief build, and honestly it’s complete kitten. D/p despite the mobility takes so much more thought to play than pressing two buttons and spamming two on sword or resetting and reapplying conditions. There are a lot of people in the higher brackets that shouldn’t be there because of the build, but A-net is so transparent about nerfs, and only limits their nerfs to Tuesdays at some random date and at some random day in the future. The nerfs need to take place sooner that’s what keeps a PvP community evolving, but we get stuck in these meta’s with obviously boring to watch and play meta’s. Increase the difficulty of pvp and not cater to people who believe they want to belong in a higher MMR bracket than they are in.
Well to be honest. The business models or the GW2 and DOTA are night and day.
DOTA makes it’s money off of having decent competition and sponsorships. So they have to make sure the PvP in their game is top noch, balanced, and fun to watch.
GW2 makes it’s money off of the opposite. PvE and easier and mindless gameplay with heavy emphases on appearances rather then competition.
I understand that. I guess it was a pretty bad comparison on my part. I just feel that with how much smaller the PvP community is in this game, it’d just take someone who is more devoted to the gameplay than the money to step in and say, “look I can balance this for free it’ll take a couple seconds to change a skill fact”.
To add on to this I’d say that A-net looks at the top players of each class in terms of balance and have them play against eachother or with eachother to determine what works and what doesn’t towards a better PvP experience where even new players have a shot of learning. In terms of that they should ask the top players of those classes to test out the things in the balance because I feel like a lot of the people who keep up with Chaith, Mime, Rar’s, Marvin’s, Phantarams, Nos’s Caeds, etc streams understand what is broken and what makes PvP in this game such a bad show. A-net should start listening to the people that have competed competitively in this game instead of the testers that compete at low levels of play.

In terms of playing Rev
- D/p thief
- Condi thief
- Dragonhunter
In terms of playing Engi
- d/p thief
to sum it up, there’s a DH/Thief in every kittening game… Engi has awful mobility, support, damage and is just as easy to read as warrior in this current meta…
to counter rev you land a steal and it’s gg… (or spam headshot like the autistic child you are)
I’m not saying to nerf anything but there’s a lot of kitten in this meta at the moment and if you’re not playing DH there’s something wrong with you.

Condi meta’s are the most boring, passive, laziest meta’s to play. Don’t go to condi, force people to play power. It’s more active.

Actually 7 over 9 classes do best using Power than Condi, I totally don’t see that condi meta. Not at all.I found a more active play use condi on a necro than spam traps on a dh or use the perma-immobilize build on the ranger that grant easy kills with low to zero effort or a warrior zerk that hit like a truck and can be untouchable for all the time he need to kill any opponent that try to face him.
If i want to play easy i log in my power DH, not my necro. Even a condi dh is harder to play than a Power dh that only need to set traps-> active F1-> profit. With traps I can also become invisible now with the runes, there’s not even need to time the F1 because the enemy will not even see it come! is hylariously easier to play than any condi build I had ever played.About Conditions:
Back in time there was a huge advantage on using conditions because there was amulets, runes and sigils that granted exagerated advantages to condi builds and there was a huge lack of condi counter skills and builds making condi even stronger, that’s totally true, but actually conditions are countered by so much things that isn’t easy at all play condition. Any good warrior will just ignore your conditions, any good thief will eat condi builds alive, any skilled ele will make your condi spam useless in teamfight. Condi builds need different playstyle experience than power builds and in a high level enviroment you find that Power is way better than Condi for almost All the classes. Only mesmer and necro do better with Condition than with power, all the otehr classes do highly better with Power then Condi.Talking about the mechanic the condition grant easier damage if you don’t clean it, but also delay your damage over time, while a power damage is istant and that’s already a huge advantage. If the enemy is totally unable to clean conditions and is unable to burst you down fast enough is doomed. The problem is that any decent build run at last 2 condi clean/transfer and frequently more, with a lot of other defensive skills that also affect condition spam.
Everyone think that defences like Block or Immunity are useless against conditions but the only thing they do is use them BAD. If you Block a condi burst you block all the future damage, still if the enemy conditions inflict you damage while you’re blocking.Atm there’s only a huge L2P issue around all the game. May that be a newbye problem, may be that a low rank lack of experience, may that be because newbyes play random builds and think to do good unless they find a guardian that burst them down with conditions, may be beause there’s not enough players that think to all the ways you can counter condition spam and damage, may that be that everyone still think that condition damage kill more than power damage or because everyone think that DoT skills don’t have to kill you, and not even so fast, and then cry when a condi build kill them, may be the lack of knowledge of the other classes and how they work and what’s they’re best skills to block/dodge/immune to make they’re damage low.
There’s a large amount of wrong behaviour about condition and inexperienced players that cry don’t knowing they’re enemies weakness.Condition builds are strong and can kill you. You can counter condi builds in different ways using the right skills and timing. Condition is a Valid alternative to Power, grant a good build diversity and don’t need nerfs because otehrwise there will be no more conditions and everyone wil play Only Power builds (no one want to play builds unable to kill the enemy).
Just make more practice, learn from your mistakes, try a condi build and learn how to counter them.
Tl;dr
Condi is completely passive gameplay, boring as kitten to watch. Power requires timing. That’s how this game has always been.

Let me remind you that a major reason matches are funky right now is a lack of population. That lack of population is the direct result of attitudes of this kind.
I once told our club Sail Commodore, “Sure it’s great that (sailor x ) wins every race. He’s really good. But, what good will that do when he’s run everyone else off?”
For the record, that class is no longer sailed at that club, for lack of interest.You disparage the population that supports the game at your own peril.
the pvp population is small and casual and I don’t see why we can’t just queue as a five man with our friends and farm the rewards of ranked since farming ranked for gold is legit the only reason to play it over unranked. (minus the fact that queueing as a five for unranked takes a 4-7min queue)
AT’s are placed at certain times

please bring back the 5 man queues this duo queue kitten is so annoying and the majority of the player base in platinum and under are only in pvp to grind PvE based rewards and titles that you’ve introduced…
a very small percentage of players in this game are competitive or even competent in solo/duo queue and it’s just a chore forcing 1-2 people to queue with complete strangers who generally have no clue what’s going on
i’m on and off with this game taking several month breaks in between whenever i play and i’ve managed to hit plat on two seperate accounts as well as getting a couple of legend titles showing how much of a joke those titles and badges really are
this game was better when I could queue ranked with 4 friends and find challenging matches against another 5 man or a stacked team of 2 duo’s, a duo and trio…etc. now i’m forced to queue with myself or a friend and deal with 3 people that i’d probably never want to meet or play with
Gold Tier is about the biggest kittening joke that I’ve seen. I’m convinced the majority of these players are bots.

Queue doding always made sense to me. I don’t think that’s match manipulation at all. It’s more like you just don’t want to play with/against someone that you’ve A) Have problems playing with or B ) Not wanting to play against a certain build that is cancer.
As you said before why would you want to queue with someone who is intentionally throwing games? It’s the best defense against that kind of behavior.
it’s frustrating solo queueing in this game now more so than before and it’s more enjoyable when you’re atleast suffering with someone else

Care to elaborate on the reason why so we can have a nice constructive discussion? As it stands, (Not to sound mean, I apologize in advance) it sounds like you are salty after beating someone at farm and sometime happened and they made it back before you were able to fully cap and possibly took the node.
This ofc is an assumption based on lack of information.
To make kills more important in this game overall. Give people more time to reflect on awful plays. I think that pretty much sums it up.
No salt, but I think if someone dies in a match over 10 times and still has an impact on the game they aren’t being punished for sloppy play.

bunker wars 2 is the most exciting thing you could take part in………….
This game is horrible in the state it’s in, I don’t even see the Abjured members stream solo queue anymore, because it’s gotten that bad there really isn’t any skill left besides getting to a node before someone else does. The fights are pretty much always stalemate unless someone messes up. I didn’t expect to buy Fallout4 while it’s at 50$, but finally a game that I can play until this horrible meta gets fixed. I’ve never been so disappointed with the PvP staff of this game, and I’d almost say to fire them, with the amount of money they’ve wasted on their crappy meta. It didn’t help with advertising, and it definitely didn’t make any people who were playing before want to continue to play.

please for the love of god thief and warrior are the only truly balanced classes in this game
the rest of the classes are loaded with kitten tons of sustain, engi, mes, ele, cele rev, cele ranger being the worst of them

I completely agree with the first point you have seeing as Engi Hammer has a 2s block on 20s rc, sneak gyro, elix S, adaptive armor, rapid regen, as well as 2 stun breaks, so making a few skills unblockable on thief would be fine with me, and make for a better match up seeing how ridiculous marauder engi is.
As far as your second point more boon removal is exactly what we need, and if they made alacrity a boon that’d be great, boon removal would also help with all the passive stab/resistance that many classes have access to.
All in all 9/10

Pretty much every meta we’ve gone through has 1-2 classes overshadowing the rest of the classes, promoting very brain dead gameplay and a flavor of the month scenario. Just like D/D eles in the last meta. The majority of players who want to win and be ‘competitive’ in this game are obviously going to gravitate towards the strongest builds so team stacking of 3 revs and 2 mesmers is a likely output.
I think at this point a whole re-work of the traits (passives, etc), stats on amulets, and utility CD’s is completely out of the question even though this game could really use it. Anet has revolved around flavor of the month builds since GW1 and I don’t think they’ll stray from this.
It’s tiring asking for a nerf on any of these classes seeing as they’ll just buff another class to be the next flavor of the month, and at this point I really don’t even care what is nerfed or buffed seeing as I will be abusing a broken build, or forced to play against a broken build in the next patches. I’m just very disappointed in this meta and PvP since the HoT update. It’s created a very boring PvP atmosphere, I don’t remember something being as annoying to fight as the bunker mesmer since the turret engineer.
Engineer is also boring as all hell to play now. The meta build picks up 3 defensive trait lines to play a marauder build, there’s really no skill involved in it, a monkey could probably play it better than the majority of engineers in this game including myself.
I don’t feel like suggesting anything. I just wanted to share my frustration from playing GW2 pvp.

Acid Bomb is classified as an elixir, but Alchemic Tinctures skill fact does not appear on the skill, and no condies are removed.
Is this a bug or on purpose?

So I’ve been experiencing a normal ping of 500-1k ping while in a match, but I will experience a ping of 40-50 while in HoTM, or any other map.
I’m not sure what could be causing this my connection is fine, and I’m only experiencing lag in one area of your game.
How do I fix this?
