Maybe this is a terrible idea for you but I’ve done it once (I only had 1 level 80 and 3 others close to 80), and I did it 3 or 4 times over the 6 years I played GW1.

Whenever gameplay got increasingly stale for me I would take a break, and when my desire to play came again, I would return to the game and make it as if my account never existed. I would delete everything and start from scratch. I gave all my money and gear away to random people and just started over.

The result I got was a refreshing feeling as I started to re roll my new characters, chase completely new titles (Legendary Survivor for GW1), and just experience the game for what it was.

When I did it in GW2 it had a little different of an effect (due to 1 storyline as opposed to the 3 full campaigns in GW1), but I discovered my love for the engineer, a class I have never played before, and the one I will most likely main for the foreseeable future.

Maybe I’m crazy, maybe I’m weird, but I only care about the experience of games. I could care less with how much money I have or how pretty my gear is.

But I could never be happier with my playing than I am right now after completely re rolling my account in GW2. And I absolutely loved doing it so many times back in GW1.

TL/DR: If you’re bored and have tried everything and don’t care about material things such as gold and gear, maybe rerolling your entire account will be fun for you.

Why not try the new life story? Or maybe you just need to take an extended break from the game…..I take longer breaks from games that I get bored with them……works wonders in renewing my interest when I come back.

With new living world story i can’t take a huge break without missing story part.. Even tho i hate all 5 members of “new destiny edge” with all my heart.

I’m not new in GW2, have 5 80s, playing since early beta tests (with huge pauses now) and now is summer, absolutely nogames season (divinity original sin already done).

I’m really bored. Already spend quite a lot time in pvp and wvw in GW2, when i see dungeon and fractals i want to puke (does them a lot)

Farming for ascended gear (2 characters almost full, anyway) or legendary is most boring thing ever.

I don’t like how game called those NPC my “friends”. I hate them. Every single one of them, they’re never will be my friend. Let me decide who lives and i’ll kill all of them. I’d prefer solo world saving, without those useless individuals who can’t shut up for a second.

It says EACH time you block you got might and adrenaline, in that case in pvp i should instantly get 25 might, but i have 0 stacks and thats weird.

I’m not a nice guy and i’m certainly don’t want to be all-good and friendly in RPG, why don’t make in story instances more moral choices? Brutally kill someone and crush their bones or send to jail? When I said that it’s generally the ladies who enjoy romance subplots more than gents, I was warned about sexism. So be careful!

I get that, but honestly… Literature and storytelling has romance. The only people I’ve met (apart from Knight, now) who are openly disgusted or against these things being incorporated into a story generally fit that demographic. And also, that’s why I put it blacked out.

Than any new good-side character added in game. Yes, he stole your personal story. Yes, he got all credits for killing Zhaitan, but..

He had purpose and did everything to save Tyria, unite fractions and gather strongest army we’ve ever seen, nothing distracts him from it.

Yes, he was depressed by the burden of responsibility for some time and this was good, that was right and he was real Hero.

I am 42 and I outgrew the need for dark and grim years ago, real life is grim enough.

I put insane time in my necro, not just gearing, but finding perfect armor skin, piece by piece not for abandoning him because “hard time”

You do know that MM isn’t the only Necromancer build.

It is only build which get profit from siphoning. Only way to give siphoning to other builds – nerf vampiric mastery.

It starts to feel weak when you start entering bigger team fights or if you get hit hard by 3 guardians/warriors or just in general a ton of durable bodied AoE.

I don’t think lot of classes/build will feel fine when 3 guardians/warriors hit them.
