I’ve spoked to Choo and they spoke to em but they continued doing what they were doing. I had no way of contacting anyone on SoR outside of who I was talking to set up the GvG rounds.
We were told that the Choo commander had asked them to kitten off and they were not complying.
then you guys did what you could. it just sucks to hear things like these happen. we allk nwo they aren’t easy to schedule. and collateral damage to bystanders is no fun either. : (((

Seconded for legit GvG. Again, apologies to your guys that got caught up and wiped in the confusion while just trying to enjoy a good GvG. We were having a great time fighting Choo as well, which is why it irritated us so much to have a few HIRE guys sour the experience.
I was one of the spectators who was caught in the middle, and I proceeded to run away because there was in no way I could fight 15 people alone. I ran all the way to where the veteran shark was, a lone [DR] guardian continued to chase me, so I was like wtf and started to pound that guy head to toe, but no, it’s my fault for defending myself.
[DR] just went overboard on everything, when it was clearly not needed. It’s not like I have respect for blob guilds anyway, but you guys are just skill-less mumboes.
SBI, way to pull us out of our fight with SoR with a ham-fisted attempt on our garri, and you just ended up giving it to SoR anyway.
Only the lag from the SoR guys on the gate prevented you from getting wiped within seconds.
I’m trying hard to respect you guys; I don’t know if it’s your transfers, or you read FA’s WvW manual, or what.
TL;DR Playing for second is for losers.

What repair fee-has been none for me since I am always outmanned. As well as english, learn history. We only dropped to T4
Funny, because whenever I see an SoS zerg, it’s a full server blob and they never have outmanned buff. Greater in numbers, less in skills.
Sorry I didn’t know how far you dropped, I thought inertia took you down lower, considering how fast you’ve come up with your stacked server in the past.

Every zerg vs zerg fight I have been in against SoR ends up one way: 30/40v30/40 becomes 30/40 vs 70. Actually, I could just use a formula and remove the ‘zerg vs zerg’ condition and say every fight against SoR ends that way, whether it be solo, small group play or zergs. To be expected, but laughable to suggest otherwise. Nice try bros.
More like the other way. An average SoR player seems to have at least twice the suitability SoS does. In other words, your zergs are glass cannon.

Also i can point a momment where 7 sor where afraid to come down from the sm walls against 2 sos and jumped down only when 1 got dced.
Also sor nearly lost aldons and had to toss twice the numbers for a party of 5.
Opportunists exists on both sides,but the server that blobs for most of the day got the most of them too.
We spawncamp because your server is bad, and we go away when we get bored of your badness, not because 1 scrub from our server died. If you really think aldons will decide this matchup in your favour you should go back to t5. oh wait

SoR is worse…they need at least 5 for 1 man and then when they lose they run backwards too get some more

SOR was running noticeably lighter tonight, after last week’s grunge match it is the smart thing to do to avoid burnout. Everything is being flipped back and forth and everyone is having fun fights I think. There is no reason to do to SBI/SoS what we did to BG’s BL 2 weeks ago ie SOR bl 2.0 tri-keeped and fully waypointed :p
Walking over sbi and sos zergs twice our size isn’t fun when you do it all night
Very well played warrior. I’ve pulled off similar encounters with my GS/LB build, and I have to say, warrior is one of the most fun class I’ve played out of my 6.
It is true that most people QQing about warrior, or any other class are bad players themselves, or are running a build that is directly countered by the build/class being QQed about. For example, it would be silly for a bunker guardian to come here and cry about condition necro.
I think it is hilarious that people are actually trying to defend this rune set not being overpowered. Let us be honest here for condition classes it is BY FAR the best rune set out there. I main an engineer and with little to no effort while using this with pistol shield I can put 20 stacks of confusion up on people by just using pistol 3 and spamming shield 4, and 5 every time they are off cd. Let us also consider you get a free 3 stacks of confusion every 15 seconds from the 4 bonus. I mean really how can you sit here and defend this rune set? You say learn to play equip condition removals? LOL ok so I should equip elixir c and give up any escape viability for a 40 second condition cleanse? Get real by the time I use that in 15 seconds I’ll have a minimum of 6 more stacks on me, not to mention other conditions.
I think the big issue is players are getting upset because their advantage is soon to be handicapped as it should be. Look at power and defensive rune set bonuses and show me one other that is partially on par with this. Anyway I’m glad they are getting changed its been needing to happen for a while, and that is coming from an engineer who used to run them.
Not really. Dhuumfire necros and HGH engies are one of the best condi specs out there, yet they use nightmare or undead runes. This rune set isn’t overpowered at all, it has certain counters just like any other specs out there. It’s just that people never really played against a confusion stacking spec before and instead of trying to adapt, they run to the forums and cry all day. Seems like it worked, too.
Contrary to popular belief, there are some differences between the three big servers. My opinion could be wrong here since I don’t zerg, but here is how I have seen T1 play out over the last 10 months.
Blackgate and JQ have smaller guilds which sometimes run separately, and sometimes run together to create a massive blob. SoR tends to run one blob more often. This might vary depending on timezone, so what I’ve seen mostly applies to NA. Running in a smaller group might sound appealing until you get run over by a 40 man zerg a few times, so each has it’s merits.
SoR is arguably the most competitive server, with Blackgate in close second. JQ is competitive too, but they don’t seem to be all about winning in T1.
BG by far has the better smaller roaming guilds, although SoR is starting to pick it up a little. JQ is still a bit behind on the small organized roaming front. If you are a roamer looking for fights, join JQ.
With leagues coming up, all three of these servers are getting transfers, so things will probably change a lot soon.
If you believe SoR blobs any more than the other 2 servers you’re delusional. BG and JQ blobs just as much if not more.
Why does everyone post essentially the meta s/s+lb build and try to claim they invented something new? It’s weird. You don’t see people posting Mace/Shield+GS builds acting like they just discovered the new world, but when it comes to this condition build people act like an angel appeared to them in the night and gave them some revealed wisdom.

A little something we picked up from those tier 1 match ups we keep losing. Guess Zerg balling the map, always fighting under siege, and never engaging in any fight without a 5 to 1 advantage is rubbing off on our PuGs.

That is a lie, SoR spawned camp TC extensively the week of January 26th.

A JQ blob chased my lone mesmer last night OC time because I had the gall to take one of the ruins from them on SOR. It was almost funny to see a whole zerg divert to take down 1 mesmer.
That’s no difference than a SOR blob which chased my 1 uplevelled necro tonight right? So far, it’s as simple as seeing red is like seeing bags. Go after it whether it’s 1 or 100.
It should be something so embarrassing forced to wear so that everybody transfers to the winning server. I mean, this kind of thing is what Devon comes up with, right
“Well it’s been a rivalry for the ages, for almost a year the SoR/BG rivalry has been unmatched by any other servers. While there are trolls on both sides which sometimes go out of hand, I have to say majority of SoR have appreciated the fights and the competition from BG. You guys have been a fun opponent and while part of me wishes for the rivalry to go on until the end of days, I think it’s safe to say that new rivalries are on the horizon with the upcoming season. Hopefully each season moving forward has fantastic rivalries that can come close to the one we had. We set the bar as far as server rivalries go, and it’ll be honestly questionable if any can come close moving forward, but only time will tell.
That being said, thank you to all the BG guilds who come out day in and day out to fight regardless of the score. And thank you to all those BG commanders and guild leaders who talk to me on the daily basis with such respect and friendliness but always
maintaining that competition on the field.
And if it happens that the Season 1 rivalry is SoR and BG again, I won’t be disappointed because I know you will bring it. But if it’s not, there’s always season 2 :P.

BG is dead when MERC left. Maybe if they can rally up like 15k gold and buy all the guilds then maybe, but right now they dont stand a chance, especially agaisnt JQ

Some servers regardless of T1 will pitch in to help cover the cost of transfers.
Anyone who is paying large sums of gold to bribe guilds however is in for a future let downs as those guilds can leave at the drop of a hat. Maybe members will quit in droves for a new game or some drama occurs amongst guilds that ends up with the guild that was bribed to leave for greener pastures.

EDIT: I wanted to clarify due to the trolly tone of the first paragraph. I really do think TC has what it take to place in the top 3. It would be very hard but they have some T1 experience now and if they rally the population, they can do really well.

The main reason WvW loses to PvE is because MMO fanbases are generally PvE.
And WvW can’t get much in terms of the gem store, unless you want to start introducing P2W items.
Actually I can think of a couple that will sell like hot cakes that isn’t p2w.
-cosmetic siege skins
-cosmetic guild banners that you kite around in battle
-cosmetic keep/camp/tower decorations
-commander tags
-commander tag colour changer
I say we disable PvE for a day and see how that community responds…

No, it’s not the same. GW2 is the ONLY MMO IN THE MARKET that supports RvR game mode. Money will flow in like river if they actually cared about it at the start. Pfft, 120 teq raids? Have you seen JQ in asian timezone?
In every game, PvE population is never the people you will keep. They will chase the next shiny when the next game releases. hardcore PvP crowd sticks to the game until it disappears.
Exactly PvPers will usually be the last to go. However this usually means the bulk PvE has left and no longer providing the game with the sustaining income required. So yeah, lets elevated WvW to the top and let PvE die out so we can find a new game to play in a few months once NCsoft decides that GW2 is not as profitable as they would like. Sounds like a grand idea.
You make it sound like a game needs PvE players to survive. If Anet promoted WvW more, the number of new players will outnumber the leaving PvE players because there are still tons of things to do in PvE, and no other game features WvW.
