Every servers post their server recruitment threads in WvW forum section. I dont see why we couldnt. Beside, we’re not going into their servers in game and try to recruit. There is nothing wrong posting BG recruitment post in any forum, every other server does the same.

And just because we won against SoR for weeks doesnt imply that we should stop recruit. If so, why SoS/JQQ still post their recruitment threads in forum… Really simple logic.

Actually, your logic is flawed there. It is known that SoR’s NA presence is a force to be reckoned with, and you guys have held over 200+ PPT almost every time, even in our prime time, and over 500+ PPT in your prime time. Doesn’t that tell you something? If it doesn’t, please think again.

Also, haven’t seen SoS posting multiple threads recruiting for their server because they already had around-the-clock coverage to begin with in T1.

To the OP, lots of siege, including superior arrow carts, burning oil, cannons and catapults are the best way to stop them.

If bunkers and glass cannons were at equal skills, bunker will always win in the long run unless he screws up something.

We are talking about versatility here, it seems. If you want versatility OP, ele is the best without doubt. Certain bunker ele builds have great CC, Damage and tankiness with healing. Have a look at ele.

That’s exactly what I think. Believe me, I never have troubles with thieves in sPvP and WvW. If they win, that’s because they outplayed me. But when hundreds, if not thousands of people are complaining about thief balance something must be wrong.

Haha I am fully aware of that guild, some really awesome people I know from there. Just didn’t mention them because they’re not a WvW guild.

Great post Obsidian, and yes, SoR has a very meaningful background to its name unlike other servers, and because of that, community is very tight-knit, all guilds are like friends, we hop on other guild’s channels and chat with them, just like that. No pointing fingers or trash talking.

Let’s not defame ND here. They made a move that best suited their guild. It is my understanding that they were very much unappreciated on SoR because of the assertion that the NA towed the line there. I personally don’t care what the conditions were on SoR prior to their move, I am just glad to have them. Our goal as a server is to win Tier 1. In order to get there, we have to take little steps along the way. If no one had the courage to put their faith in something and take the first step, there would be no change in WvW. ND and many other guilds have decided that Blackgate is where they want to be. They are a guild of their own and no server can claim ownership of them, it is up to them to choose what server they want to call home. So let’s cool it with the hate messages. When DA went to SoS, we said nothing negative to them, nor when DiE or Agg jumped ship to them either when we dropped from tier 1. Have some class. Please.

It is our gain and SoR’s loss if they flame ND. All of the GL’s on our old server Yaks Bend, told me that we are always welcome back if things don’t work out well on BG. And guess what, that would be the only server I would ever consider moving back to.

Don’t burn your bridges, people.

Was Yak’s Bend fighting BG for a month? No. Totally a different story and an irrelevant example.

But when you do get attacked, don’t whine or ask yourself why these people are being so mean; the people you met in the JP today were doing their server a disservice by allowing enemies free siege. The ideal thing is to kill on sight, just saying.

What trait builds & skills do you use with Sword? I’ve been mixing up all my weapons while levelling my new ranger (level 46 now) and trying various combinations to get a good “pure” melee build. I’ve been enjoying Sword & Warhorn the most lately for the birds and fury.

We build trebs in front of gates instead of rams.

Any class as long as you’re good with it and can win 1v1s with thieves. Personally, I can do that with almost any class but engy because I never played them.

If you have played any REAL pvp games ( Daoc) you know 1 thing : 99% of the time burst dps and burst heals wins games.Sadly this game has no healer and CC and support is so so at best.( personally I do wish It had a healer).

My rangers pet 2-3 shots most necros.

1) I have never, ever been defeated by a ranger in WvW.

2) How do you push out armies with a ranger? Teach me.

3) No, sustained damage and damage mitigation are equally deadly. Depends on what kind of a player you are.

4) LOL traps. When I’m defending a keep, it is not rangers or eles that enemies try to focus, it’s me, who spreads conditions like crazy with epidemic, corrupt boon… etc.

5) No killing is not really important in WvW, I think you need to learn the whole concept of WvW again from scratch.

6) Why not many people play necros is because a lot more people enjoy huge numbers instead of cloud of numbers. Necros are harder to play than thieves or rangers, but more rewarding if you do master the class.

So I think this is your L2P issue.

If you killed nobody using a pure condition build you’re either really, really bad or your opponents were exceptionally good. Or, you could be using a cookie-cutter build that anyone knows how to counter.

With this new locust signet buff I am a viable roamer in WvW, killing almost anyone in 1v1 situations, so you cannot say that necros are in any way, underpowered. If you want to play an overpowered profession go play a thief or a mesmer.

P.S: I use green trinkets.

and mesmer bursts the thief down with 2 sec stun and immobilise, and at the end of the burst thief heartseekers twice and dies because of 10+ stack of confusion.

I’ve duelled against numerous thieves in an open environment like WvW, and in an empty sPvP arena with my friends, who are very good burst thieves. The only thieves that even have a chance to beat me are P/D condition thieves.

Now I roll a necro, and… don’t even ask.

As long as thieves still jump into my blind well and miss all their burst I’m fine with everything.

There are numerous reasons to why the general WvW population avoids 1v1 fights. For example, when I see a thief in sPvP I ready myself for a free kill, because I’m a heavy condition/healing necro with chain blinds. This wouldn’t differ in WvW if not for the culling bug, and let’s admit, thieves are slightly overpowered over other classes in terms of 1v1 duels.

Many WvW players are undergeared and/or underleveled. It is almost impossible to win against a full exotic/ascended level 80 as a level 11 blue geared ranger.

I know I’m not the only one, but many people carry utility skills, elites. trait points and weapon sets that are more advantageous in group/siege situations rather than 1v1 situations in WvW, such as staff ele, longbow ranger or grenade engy.

It’s not because you’re such a great PvPer than people might run away from you, it is most likely because they are more useful in WvW than you.

Get rid of rams they shoot jets of fire so op.

Get rid of arrow carts because i don’t like it.

Get rid of catapults because they shoot big fat balls that reminds me of what i saw last night.

Get rid of ballistae because they shoot genitalia.

Get rid of trebs because they remind me of balls on fire.

Get rid of golems because they’re not naked.

While I agree that combined force of BG’s euro force, SoR’s NA force and IoJ’s Oceanic force would be worthy of #1 in T1, I wouldn’t enjoy the queues =w=
