I’ve yet to see any FA or DB corpse dance, not to say it doesn’t happen but the only people I’ve seen do it recently has been on magoobers and we don’t have to deal with them terribads… at least this week. Looking forward to getting some new blood into this 3 way.. Good luck DB and YB.

Your ability to continue continue the forum wars in the face of extreme defeat is inspiring. So far only one server has been caught on video running away from fights. It wasn’t FA or DB.

What war? I just want to do some 1v1’s and maybe groups if people are interested. Does FA get anxiety over the thought of even fights or something?

I like when people say spvp, because it shows you literally don’t know what you’re talking about.

SPvP is group vs group which is what you’re looking for… you don’t have to take objectives.. you can sit in there for the whole time going after each other without the fear of people coming along to ruin your carebear fest. of course in SPvP you can’t rely on consumables, your ascended gear or food buffs to give you an edge, you have to actually know your class.

I really won’t be surprised if Mag does end up in t3 the week after, but at least it’ll give me a week of fighting EB. Last time we fought them, they had more roamers than FA and DB combined, so at least for one week wvw may actually have some good fights.

please.. all you’ve done is run from any fight that is even remotely close to be “fair”. only time you guys stick around is when you’re little group out numbers and is sure to win. It’s funny, when it’s you that outnumbers.. it’s “roaming” and Roamers.. when it’s other people it’s a zerg. You guys constantly cry about any group bigger than what you can field and when suggested you SPvP you guys whine about that. Truth is SPvP takes team work and skill which is something you guys lack. All you want to do is hide and gank lone people then when you get beat talk about how you were “zerged” and fights suck.

I would be happy if FA went to tier 2 but I am afraid we are stuck with them for a while. But even if they move up and TC moved down to join us it will be pretty much the same deal. Same goes for you guys, if you move down to tier 4 you will dominate and the match will get stale. Both DB and Mag are in a pretty crappy spot. Overpowered servers above us and underpowered below.

Do what we did. Join forces and create Maguumabrand.

Or Draguuma.

I’d take DB over Magoobers any day. They at least understand how WvW works and don’t cry on the forums about how every fight isn’t 5v5 and call anything over 7 ppl a zergball.

What were those golems doing in the middle of the field? Why didn’t they waypoint away when they saw you enter the field? I understand you had stealth, but you didn’t the whole time. Why come from the road?

They were about 1 port away from South bay door, that’s why they were “in the middle of the field” and by the time stealth was dropped they didn’t have time to port back probably for a lot of reason, not all in TS, paying attention, someone was trying to type it out and since they were all grouped up waiting on the mesmer portal it was easy to tag them stopping them from porting back.. only BP can exactly say what\why.. we only know our side of the story.

Yeah, gonna have to say I agree with this. It’s also ridiculous the amount of words that are censored to “kitten”. There’s a certain guild on Mag who’s guild tag gets censored to “kitten”. Granted this is Anets forums and they can run it how they see fit, it’s just ridiculous how much hand holding and babying they do.

eh, they’ll probably just add something stupid nobody wants like the PvE break out event instead of addressing the real issues.

We learned about golem-in-a-box because FA was hitting us with them and we became curious. Again, for the record, I never personally used them.

This match is much more one sided than the last time we met. I wish people’s philosophy was to play for points. Otherwise why not have a ‘see who can kill the most dead stuff the fastest in Orr’ track meet. But that is the way of things. There will always be bad apples.

it’s more one sided this time because frankly we’re (ok, i can’t speak for the server but I am) tired of maguuma constant crying.. go through this thread and 90% of it is them crying because WvW isnt played how they want. They want to talk about how skilled and great they are but obviously they can’t hang and when they get beat they run here and whine about how they got zerged.. tell them to go SPvP if they want “fair and balanced” match ups and they whine because SPvP is boring.. they basically want their cake and eat it too. Even if you beat them with a smaller force they cry about it, they basically want to keep changing the rules until it favors them. It’s no wonder they wanna sandbag it and go back down… So they can redevelop their false sense of superiority.

DB on the other hand has given some great match ups both small and large.

Obviously you weren’t there for our first match up against Maturtle. They just siege up the north camp to turtle and then hang out on here crying about zergs until their oceanics can take stuff during off hours.

But on the other hand you have a point. Large forces are infact needed and will lead to some of the best fights. Although I would go with more incentives for small-mid group play rather than decentives for playing in a zerg. (As someone above suggested)

I don’t know why people were expecting things to be magically better tonight. We had already seen the culling change during the test back in December, and I’d imagine a good majority of players have machines that don’t need fallback models anyways. But the fact is they’re working towards eliminating culling completely and this was the first step towards that goal.

I wasn’t expecting a magical fix but I sure in the kitten didn’t expect it to get worse. And don’t blame my computer because I wasn’t having these issues yesterday before the patch.

If they want so bad to avoid skippers, just turn the NPCs a bunch of cowards, they don´t advance if the mobs are not killed (I remember an event like this, a little girl or something like that).

Put more money or more drops will only be a paliative, give some time and it will lose interest (like kholer…, give loot and money but most people don´t give a kitten about it).

I find most people skip kholer because they don’t under stand how\when to dodge him and complain about him being “too hard”. The groups I’ve been in that can burn him down do it.

I think some people are just too use to the EZMOAD WoW dungeons that you can just AFK fight your way through. it’s no wonder Fractals are so appealing. It’s basically a WoW jumping puzzle.

I can’t say too much just yet, but we’re doing some work related to rewards and character progression in WvW even now. It will be a little while before we’re ready to talk about more details though. Rewards, progression, and incentives for play are hot topics around the office. We all care about this stuff and once we have some more details hammered out we’ll let you all know what we’re up to.

I think the concern is that while you all care about this stuff, you seem to care more about its implication in PvE, ie the new ascended gear. Forcing all the WvW crowd to grind PvE, assuming that is how it plays out given we know so little at this point, to stay competitive while we wait for you to get ready to talk about WvW progression might be one of those significant points of contention with the player base.

In short, better not wait to long to at least tell players what you have planed.

i feel like Anet doesn’t know who they want to cater to. I was under the impression this was a team based PvP game but everything points to them trying to hoist a lame kitten gear grind and apease the “bored” pvers that have nothing to do because they don’t have a carrot on a stick.

sPvP is not appealing and currently dying. And the fact it is sooo disconnected from the rest of the game did not help.

yeah…balanced play is so unfun.. so much better when it’s a carrot on a stick gear grind where you can roflstomp people not becuase of how good you are but because you’re unemployed or a kid in school who can spend 14 hours a day grinding out gear. No, you ahve to accept this is a team based PVP game. Like 99% of the other MMOs being a PvE based game and pvp some kitten step child this game is the reverse. PvE isn’t the focus and therefore recieve less attention. Otherwise they wouldn’t just throw XP to get you to max lvl and geared asap. Sorry to be the one to break it to you. Perhaps the whiners crying about lack of PvE would be happier with the pandas or any of the other numerous PvE centric games that cater to them and their grind.

@Bruno I understand that, and I wasn’t lucky at all. I only ran it once and found it too boring and easy. It was cool to see it from the Lore\story point of view but I had no interest in running it 50 times. But it seems like people were extremly lucky or got jack squat.

Some people don’t grasp that. They’re still stuck in WoW or the holy trinity of tank, deeps, and Healz. as long as you know your combos, and class any combo can run dungeons.

I’m sorry but it’s completely your choice if you decide to join one of those groups, be prepared to get the backlash.

However for me, I’m a level 80 that took time to level (Yea, because its REALLY hard), and I also learned the instance prior to entering the instance. I am running a dungeon because I don’t have time to waste teaching people a path that takes 30min and extending it to 2 hours. I want a run with people that know what they’re doing, have the best possible abilities and maximum trait points, and I don’t even care if they’re wearing blues. So long as they’re 80, they are already infinitely better than a level 30 or 35 that may know what they’re doing, but still get one shot or two shot because they failed to dodge an attack.

Then, my team has to waste time rezzing, instead of using that time to contribute more DPS on a target. And the run goes slower. Like I said, I don’t have enough hours in the day to stay in a group for 1 path to take 2 hours when I need to do all 3 paths.

Once again, just my opinion, but if people want to run with only 80s, then thats their choice. Theres no need for an “Report Abuse” function. The game can be played by those who play it however they want. If you want a “Report Abuse” function, then I should be able to “Report Abuse” to people that yell at me because I don’t explain something to them. It’s not my job to teach you how to run a dungeon. There’s plenty of text guides and even youtube videos that teach you the nuances of a fight. I don’t need to babysit you through the dungeon when I barely have time to log onto the game.

Just my two cents.

If your life is so hectic and busy maybe you should get your kitten together instead of wasting what free time you have playing a video game.

I really hope it’s nothing like MK. MK was a kitteny kitten WoW dungeon, group up.. take 10 mins to complete.. run it 15 times. yawn.
