We fooled you! We’ve lost 80% of the WvW guilds we used to have and like lelith said we are only handful remaining. It’s foolish and delusional to believe something else.
Good week so far, Gandara seemed to have a lot more players on weekend but sunday eve was the turning point when we started to take a grip of it again. Finally playing WvW and not only paintrain WXP farm.
Very interesting theory and I would like to see a video of it how it works or is it just talk.
After spending last week stuck in the same matchup with gandara, all I can say that they never offered our guild any decent fights and thus it wast one of the most boring weeks ever played. Lots of roamers and small parties running around and never got to see this vision of yours live. I would like to! Hopefully it works! Post a video! Best of luck with it!
By we I mean TLA. As I said I don’t know how you have done this week but seems you aren’t as satisfied with your battles as I’m with ours.
Today we decided to flip garrison in RS borderland with GoD but unfortunately the mission was too long to be fully done: we spent a lot of time getting into t3 keep lord room and couldn’t handle the multiple RS waves incoming from portal every 3 minutes one after another. We had to call it a night after first full wipe.
Well congratulations to Riverside for successfully making Desolation look like a combination of Vizunah and Vabbi. We lose every fight with even numbers and then we just have no numbers. Not really sure what has happened to our beloved server.
Dunno about you mate but we been rocking this week! Nice to fight RS, not only the numbers but they now got the skill too. If you wanna win you have to do it right!

Ye the new blue color is horrible. With fast look you cannot tell is some place blue or green. I don’t know why on earth are you even changing the tones of colors like this, it serves absolutely nobody.
This is the power of offtime capping. Would be interesting to see SFR, VS and BB matchup when BB is at full force again. Would there be any offtime left for vizunah to take advantage of? Anyhow nice job VS community for you effort gathering all those players! Good job SFR making it this close! It seems that unfortunately your community wasn’t ready to do a push like vizunah did when we all knew all week it was coming sooner or later. GJ Deso we did nice!

Ty [Run] for fun a bit smaller scale fights! Very refreshing to have some 20v20 action instead of two guilds forming 40 player blobs to lag each other out.

Quality of fights have been good this week. One thing bothering me is that when we are running guildruns with 15-20 players we simply cannot win a single one open field fight because we have not been able to find any groups less than 30 players. The good fights I was talking about was when we ran with another group of 25 and faced one big zerg. Let’s change that tonight at 6pm BST! We don’t know our border for sure yet but we have been running in pikens borderlands few times.
I wanna thank too for this great matchup this week. It was very refreshing for us to win no matter how we did it! Those who don’t like coverage/capping thingy, I’m sorry I don’t like it either that much but it can’t be helped :/ For our night/morning crew: GZ you did it! We won thanks to you guys. When was the last time we won? Cannot remember!
Unfortunately I had to work a lot this week and didn’t get to play that much. kitten , just when our opponent servers were this great to play :/ The time I spent there was fun.
We even had one GvG planned for Tuesday and thanks to Anet and their patch it got canceled. A bunch of amateurs no more no less. Thanks to [VII] anyway for trying it out and being great guys.
I respect PS very much, they have HUGE primetime force. Not just quantity but quality. A lot of top guilds there to fight. Unfortunately we got to fight you only few times. Thanks to Kodash too, always a good server to play against.
I don’t know for myself because I have played in EU all the time but it is said that EU ladder is a bit more PvP like than NA. EU servers like to fight open field more and are a bit more competitive in general. There may be few exceptions ofc but that’s the line by average. NA instead has better coverage, Asian, Oceanic, America. EU is only few timezones and some servers have russians.
I believe this was said by someone from VotF. Sure there are a lot more guilds and players experienced both ladders with their opinions.
I wonder what they are doing, always superbusy yet nothing major updates has ever came out. No new maps no nothing.
WvW rank system? To me it seems like a system made up in few days. Still they are adding new masterys and while doing it not resetting the actual points like they should. You spent your points to something, they add something new, points should be reset every single time something new is added, that’s the basic line doing things.
RNG? Again something made up very fast. This was quick fix which came way too late to help awful server variations.
Culling? Yea it’s nice they finally removed bug from the game that shouldn’t exist from the beginning. Servers still can’t handle WvW as it is planned, horrible skillag makes it unplayable at times.
Oh yeah and they removed the orb from the game leaving all the altars and orb places there standing alone doing nothing like in chernobyl.
I don’t think that their playstyle is the mainproblem, but people are just fed up with a lotta Viz players strulling around like “LOL WE ALWAYS GOT THE MOST POINTZ WE ARE THE BEST PLAYAZ IN DA WURLD”
I find this kind of unfair to “Vizunah”. Just check since how long there are almost no more comments on these forums from Viz. We had forum warriors before, but i believe it is now really quiet from us.

I’m actually looking forward to lose some points to RS this week. Hopefully we get nice fights, at least reset at RS border was fun! Nice doubleteaming against vizunah there at the beginning for a short while!

2 big downsides
a) Every server blobs but never have I experienced as big skill lag as facing VS blob this enormous —> boring
b) Js and Vs both lack courage to attack each other with great force. Ofc there are skirmishes all the time usually in front of one of their tower gates but not real action. No big and long attacks. No dedication to take towers/keeps with full force. It’s a bit like checking if anothers guard is down and when it is not they cannot cap. If one server caps any keeps from another it is because the defending server is currently outmanned —> boring.
But not all is bad: It’s nice to see JS and VS playing active and not just sit in their keeps. If you want action, you can easily find it. Defending fights are fun.
Tonight we had nice fights on deso borderlands. We prepared a big attack to vs bay and managed to get into lords room fast and easy but fortunately for vizunah js attacked us so it was just a quick try and our big attack at full force never actually happened. Then unfortunately both of them kept us busy just defending what’s ours for the rest of the night.
Well this just sucks Hopefully this is just MOS site problem and not affecting Anets ranks. I don’t mind facing JS and VS but it really sucks if they really gave us the points BB fought for themselves O_o Switch our points back to where they belong please.

Haha this matchup Of all the possible variations! Well it doesn’t matter if we get blobbed by t1 or t2 servers, let’s keep on rolling as we always do! We will eventually face our own leveled servers. I dare to push our bad luck, we will be facing t1/t3 like servers for the next three weeks at least!

SoS, for example, seems to be having some issues with them gaining points. Is your goal to only have easy wins? You deserve the points you gain playing against better servers even if you lose. You’d have to lose greatly to not gain points but you are better than that!
It will take several weeks for this new style system to be balanced and we can see which server really is worth how much points.

I was thrilled about this matchup ofcourse knowing elona would win and we would most probably lose. Really excited to face elona again and baruch bay for so long time with all those great guilds. Especially looking forward seeing DsD and BuLL in action! It was a pleasure to play with you back then and it will be pleasure to play against you now! Great guys!

We used to be a server with good amount of quality guilds playing primetime. Definitely worth being in EU top tier. In a good evening every borderland had a short queue so we had it all covered. Then we had some offtime coverage which was quite decent but certainly not enough for winning t1. We got some hard time fighting superior numbers and lost. Huge demoralization and many guilds left. We lost some primetime coverage. I repeat: some primetime coverage. Naturally what we still have left is about the same offtime coverage and if it’s too much for you then no can do. While we are not trying to actually PvD you can’t deny people playing when they are able to do so. Maybe try to improve your offtime coverage instead?
But hey, still, we have played for weekend only. We can’t know what week brings by and the ranking system change is coming too. Just enjoy the battles you have no matter what time you are playing!
Heh, ofc we haven’t mate! We just loved the way you burnt the bridges while leaving! (that’s a joke!) You said you would leave in peace but didn’t do so. Oh, the IRONy.. (another one!)
No but seriously we are still the same server we used to be. No regrets. The backbone is still here but some of the flesh is gone Our community is still up and running even without most of those WvW guilds!

Sorry if I offended you but I was just stating the facts. PUG servers usually have a lot of quantity and we all know what wins wars in this game As you said: With guilds joining one server they make the server good not all because of quality but quantity.
Guilds have been together for a time and have practiced and played with the same people many times. They know what to do exactly. PUG zerg even when using TS is not that efficient. There are always those who don’t know what to do and get left behind and rally enemies faster than your main group can down.
The most hilarious comment I’ve read so far was a vizunah player who claimed Elona is bad at open field fights.

And I’ll reiterate : Elona should work on open field fights, it’s by far their greatest weakness.
I don’t mean any disrespect to them, this my objective criticism of their server after a weekend on the borderlands.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about [GD], so I’m sure they do have very strong guilds. But the groups I faced during the weekend (wether they are organised raids or just PU raids) died rather quickly compared to what we saw on SFR2.0 or Deso.
The good point is that they like to fight, even outnumbered, even when dying repeatedly.
You are talking about another PUG server like you are. Deso and SFR were ultimate guild servers full of high guality action. PUG servers are the way to be if you want to play pointgame and the quality of fights is not that high in general

[X] Play a normal match?

We are playing even now but because of the obvious reasons can’t do it 100% now. And I mean 100% of the power we currently have with only few WvW guilds.
While we try to play as normal match as we can it isn’t possible at the moment. Tier 2 is still our destination. Elona sure brings a fresh wind to t1 so we warmly welcome you! I wouldn’t mind little doubleteaming against vs either!

You must understand the frustration of the other servers.. Let me put it this way:
You are driving a car and stop at the red lights. There’s a car next to you and you are having a race. Lights turn green and you both hit pedal to the metal. You accelerate to 100km/h clearly leaving another car far behind you and start to slow down. You brake for few seconds until the other car drives by with huge speed and keeps on going. You stop at the next lights and he claims that he won because he passed you and the finish line was further ahead. Yeah right..
It’s clear to everybody that WvW match is a week long and actually the car driver knew that too, he just ran out of fuel. The race was all about who can drive further and not the fast driving after all. We needed 10 litres fuel to finish but only had 5. We were way faster but still couldn’t win from the very beginning
What we want is to drive fast! We want fast races and the winner to be the fastest! We don’t want long races and winner to just have the biggest fueltank! Unfortunately the only racetrack we have is this one-week-long..
Hmm.. maybe building new smaller racetrack wouldn’t be that expensive?

The thing is this serverpoint system has failed miserably. Two of the t1 servers are playing at the moment at the level of t3/t4 but still they cannot even drop to t2. This issue is very critical and would need all the attention of Anet to fix. Unfortunately they are known to act quite slow. Solution would be very simple: Winner goes up a tier and loser falls one. Different servers every week except in t1/t9.
They must have realized by now that the pointsystem is broken.
And remember, you are playing against humans. Human is the race who occupied the world, built cities etc and is now slowly killing it. Humans will do anything to win, especially in a computer game. Unlike Mobs (computer enemies) your WvW enemies are skilled and not so predictable. Mobs use the same skill rotations all the time, move stupidly and are easy to kill. WvW players do everything not to lose. If they see you use both your dodgerolls be ready for immobilize, knock down, stun or anything making you an easy target for their big move. If they see you running away they won’t stop chasing like mobs do if you make it out of their territory. They will chase you down for ages to get the easy kill and only dead enemy or the fear of own death will stop them. They have died gazillion times and every time learned something new to leave battles as a winner and not as a loser.
No mob is as cunning and ruthless as human players. If you can handle pvp, you can handle the game. PvP most certainly is not for everyone and will take some time for you to get the hang of it.
Did that just happen? A player from the winning server complains that 2nd and 3rd server are teaming up a bit? In a 1v1v1 fight? Unbelievable, you just don’t get this game at all do you

Good job on that. First golem rush we managed to counter but the second rush within 10 minutes seemed to be a bit too much. We just couldn’t match the numbers.
Interesting to see how sfr deals with the “issue” of too much players. Will they stand or will their guilds hop servers?

Thanks! I personally am proud of us and satisfied with the situation we’ve got. Eventhough we are mainly a great force during our primetime and not at night/morning we are in T1 and still doing just fine. We don’t even have queues for every border every day! And the days we do it’s not over 5min ever. At the moment no threat of dropping a tier. Which ofcourse wouldn’t be a bad thing due to the nature of T1.
I hope vs really gets it together. I just want to see how they do in t1 now when there’s actually some competition. I mean, it is known that vs was superior due to morning hours and now when they actually are facing some competition in their “primetime” their morale has suddenly dropped.. yea that sounds kind of dull from me but that’s the case isn’t it? :/ I wanna see vizunahs A-game against SFR’s A-game!

While I admit NA ladder has better coverage than EU ladder and thus would win EU in a matchup I can’t resist throwing out my opinion: Quality in EU is better. We have more top guilds. When we play we play hard. Or do we?
Without flaming anymore than this some opinions coming from actual experience would be nice here. If I’m totally proved wrong, hands up and no more arguments from here. How about it VotF, RG, PRX and who else?
They must have definitely done something to the servers. Absolutely horrible skill lag. Yesterday I was roaming and killing dollys for the daily with my lowlvl thief and I didn’t need to be on TS to know when somewhere around the map was big fight going on. Skill lag reaches you no matter if you are running alone completely elsewhere without even mobs in your sight.
