How odd that rangers have the most, yet we’re the red headed step child of the group. First post was a promise that they didn’t follow through with. Second post was a snarky attitude with excuses that didn’t address anything and no idea what the third one was, probably addressing how they borked traps.

You do realize that people like to play when they aren’t near their home computer, right? or they move often enough that a tower isn’t practical.

They need to put other ascended mats in those champion boxes. With a rare chance for the upgraded mats. That would solve part of the problem, then make it so the mats can be vendored and no more wasted bag space. But we all know what that means and that’s not what they’re known for.

Deleting the dust will also solve your wasted bag space problem. Why can’t you just delete it?

Is this your first rodeo? there’s a reason why people horde items. As soon as you delete them, anet will make add a recipe or something making them useful again. It’s happened many many times in the past and it will continue to happen.

I would say the shortbow is primarily condition damage with the bleeds from cluster bombs + the poison from choking gas. You can stack quite a few bleeds with chained cluster bombs if you know what you’re doing. But it will benefit from either or.

I would spend 1000 gems if it was regular armor.

I’d be happy if they just returned the shortbow range and put crossfire back before they lied about the attack speed change “fixing an animation bug” and later admitting that they didn’t want people spamming 1. Psh.

This better not be considered an exploit, key drops are non existent. Pretty much the only way to get them is to waste money on them (given the return on the chests, this is a horrible idea) or to do your personal story.

If they turn around and nerf the personal story key rewards, that’s just messed up.

I am convinced we’re not playing the same game as the devs. Took them since November 15 to say that the vet/champ loot problem is an issue of not getting kill credit (which is nonsense since even when solo they don’t drop anything) They call our perceived drops a conspiracy theory while being quite snarky about it. I’ll just go back to doing my daily once in the morning and once at night until the devs actually decide to do something about the issue and be honest about it.

Any word on this? I’d love to read their excuse on this one.

Wouldn’t call it competition orientated, I would call it a bad design because unless you’re aoeing, you don’t get anything. Even if you single target a monster, you still don’t get anything.

Yeah, they didn’t really think it through. Adding another condition when they can’t even address the current issues with conditions in pve.

Serious question: Why does Anet ask for opinions and comments, when all they are going to do is what they proposed in the first place? I can’t recall a time where they posted proposed changes, and things were actually changed/modified, based on the player’s input.

I’m sure there were a couple small things, but I’m referring to balance changes, not QoL improvements and things of that nature that were changed, based on input.

I just look at the posted changes now, and figure those are going to be the changes to expect on the date given. All we are getting, imo, is the illusion of making a difference.

While I’m glad they’re improving the longbow, the changes are pretty much insignificant if they don’t address the problems with the builds for it. Considering longbows need piercing, cooldown and range traits to be viable, this isn’t going to do anything about build diversity. We’re still pigeon holed to get the longbow even remotely viable.

It also doesn’t address the placement of traits related to traps and it doesn’t address any of the pet mechanics that need to be addressed like last year.

Plus that endurance regen nerf makes zero sense to me. How anet says we have too much endurance regen just leaves me scratching my head. They already nerfed it with the healing spring change.

Exactly my point. It’s not showing up on any of our test servers, it’s only showing up on a Live server, with varying populations/unpredictable players, et al. So we haven’t been able to determine what’s causing the bug. Like I said, I added some failsafe measures so it will fix itself if it ends up in a bad state, but I’m not sure WHY it’s ending up in a bad state.

I am sorry of this is off topic, but maybe the reason that developers see no reduction in drop rates from veterans and champions, and the drastic drop in “drop rates” in general discussed in many other forums be related to the fact that they are looking at test servers instead of live servers? Definate Food for Thought. Clearly the test servers are not operating on the same playing field as the live servers, and it would make sense according to your observations.

That’s actually a good point. I’ve often wondered if we’re even playing the same game as the devs and judging by this response there’s an obvious difference between their test servers and the live servers that we play on.

Ask a happy personal question not pertaining to guild wars 2 or praise someone at anet and you’ll get a response faster than asking someone at anet to address the previous debacle involving profession changes, specifically rangers.

I’m not satisfied with their communication. But I switched over to my thief and I am satisfied leveling him currently, so I guess that counts for something, I know I’ll get pissed once I go back to my ranger again though.

Don’t care for mounts, but I wouldn’t mind them. But they definitely need to up the speed boost, especially for rangers.
