I personally think the issue is not making gold, but obtaining T6 raw and fine materials.
Fractals are a poor way to make income, but besides CoF theres only SE / HotW / CoE speed runs to make gold.
Gold should never be the go to currency to buy player derived goods, however its quickly becoming such a required element since everybody uses gold.
I agree, I’ll trade you two chickens for a glob of Ectoplasm! Two and a half? I suppose I could do that, but it might be a bit messy. How about instead of chickens, I give you these vouchers with a combined worth of precisely two and a half chicken, that anyone in the world will accept?
By George, I think we’ve got this non-gold economy figured out!
There is a 5% listing fee that you pay up front when posting an item, and a 10% sale fee when the item is actually sold. They don’t show this very readily, and it causes players to come to the forums and complain about bugs that are really just poor communication between the game and players. It’s not a bug, but it is something they should change, since clearly (this being approximately the 7,649th thread about this) it is the source of a lot of confusion.
1) Be Thief
2) Infiltrator’s Arrow halfway through laser room, using left side of wall for guide.
3) Infiltrator’s Arrow to end of laser room.
4) Start using both consoles on the right side, when done, Shadowstep to left side, start using that console.
5) ???
6) Profit.
Nobody else even has to get across. It’d also work with Mesmers (Blink) or Necro (Flesh Wurm) or Elementalist (Lightning Flash), but you’d have to wait for cooldowns.
Nicely done. The only reason there’s no reward for doing that is because I’m pretty sure the only way that’s possible is if Mesmers checkpoint each other and go refresh the skills, so it wouldn’t be fair to the other classes.
lol, who cares?
I hate people like you. If you don’t enjoy someone’s achievement, however big or small, don’t post anything. Personally, I do care about this achievement, because it’s cool.
An appropriate amount of force to rout 4 people from a tower.
Only took about an hour before they decided Siegerazer was the only viable course of action.
Try killing something with the rifle again (In PvE), sometimes skills de-unlock themselves for no apparent reason.
If nobody who participated is on the map, the event does not complete, so you don’t get credit for it.
So I’m nearly sure you’ve set a key to “Walk” which will make your character very slow. You’re probably accidentally pressing it, and when it fixes itself, you accidentally press it again.
Look at your keybinds (F11→ 4th tab on the left, Control Options) and in the first section Movement, there will be a Walk option, figure out what that’s bound to.
I stopped reading at “Lets face it”.
Lets face it, no good post uses that phrase.
No, pretty much everyone I’ve talked to hates the idea too.
Everyone should be on equal footing when it comes to sPvP, and not being able to use all of the skills or combinations of stats is far off of that.
/rank is just the PvP rank, the finisher is used when stomping an enemy player.
So, with the recent blog from Anet ( https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/traits-unleashed-forty-new-traits-and-more/ ) we know one grandmaster trait for each class and, arguably more importantly, that resetting traits can be done anywhere for free as long as you’re not in combat.
First, I’ll list a short synopsis of the announced traits, all of which are Grandmaster level.
Elementalist – Aquatic Benevolence: (unannounced line) 25% Healing + to other allies.
Engineer – Fortified Turrets: Inventions | 4 second reflect on turrets when placed. AoE seems approx size of Sanctuary by guardian.
Guardian – Force of Will: Honor | +300 vitality.
Necromancer – Unholy Sanctuary: Death Magic – Separate “boon” that functions exactly the same as Regeneration.
Mesmer – Power Block: Domination | Interrupted skills with cooldowns are placed on a 10s cooldown (up from 5s).
Ranger – Read the Wind: Marksmanship | Longbow arrows move twice as fast.
Thief – Invigorating Precision: Critical Strikes | 5% of damage from crits is returned as healing to you.
Warrior – Dual-Wield Agility: Arms – 10% increased attack speed when wielding offhand axe, mace, sword.
Honestly, it seems the only announced trait that may show any use in dungeons is the Warrior one, if it can bring axe autoattack damage high enough to warrant the extra 5 in Arms.
More importantly, in my opinion, is the fact that you can change traits on the go, seemingly in dungeons. That means if you have an engineer running their grenade build and for a specific fight you need reflects more than you need vulnerability, they can pop 30 points into inventions on the run and swap to a few turrets. Bad example, I know, but I think this will have some impact on how dungeons are done, especially at the higher end.
Turn up your graphical settings?
I run gw2 on max, and this happens to me. It only lasts for a brief moment, probably less than a second, but it does happen, regardless of settings.
I don’t have ascended armor or weapons : /
So you’re not at a wall at all then, you’re just refusing to get the tools necessary to get the AR. This is like saying you have a problem getting your car started when you haven’t bought an engine, tires, or headlight fluid.
Get the Ascended Armor/Weapons, you’re missing out on a lot of AR otherwise, and you’re also missing out on 10% direct damage and 5% armor.
Lol we didn’t need 20 omega’s to cap your BL, we did it to have fun.
Clearly you need more.
On the other hand, thanks for the loot; I set up an arrow cart and then got carpal tunnel syndrome picking up the bags from everyone that jumped off the cliff.
This is so annoying. The only cure for this disease is to join the selling party with a friend and kick their leader, so you discourage them to repeat it again for some time. I’ve sent to ArenaNet a folder with screenshots describing and showing every possible Arah skip I know. Nothing changed yet. Especially I look forward to fix the skipping to lupicus (jumping on the coral on wall to the right of couple of risens, when you start P1).
That’s a terrible practice to condone, you have no idea if the people selling Arah runs did it legit or otherwise.
yes, it wouldn’t be fair on those who have completed all hearts!
Just like with the skill point accumulator daily . It’s unfair to players that finished all their skill points.
Except you can level up 3 times, and get a skill point from those. Or buy some Skill Points from Fractals.
Why should people start a new alt if they don’t want too?
Why are skill points being sold in fractals? That’s just stupid.
You don’t have to get a NEW level, you can get skill points from levelling from 80 to 80.
Skill points are being sold in fractals because why not. They’re a few fractal relics, which have little use once you have the backpiece/bags you need.
Steps:
1)Take 50 out of bank.
2)Stack into 100 in your inventory.
3)???
4)Profit. Or putting the 100 back into the bank. Your choice, really.
The only EB specific ones were Merc Camps/Stonemist. I got the key for the Reward chest and finished the season with 0 Stonemist Caps or Merc Camp Caps. If you WvW’d 5 days a week, you should have had more than enough time to get the key, unless those play sessions were 15 minutes long, and only included taking a camp and a sentry.

T8 NA (FC/HoD/ET) has been consolidating roaming guilds in an effort to always have some small group fights, and from what I’ve seen, it’s quite successful. That’s not to say there are no zerg vs zerg fights, but there are always (when they’re online) groups of 5~ running around in various borderlands.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/wuvwuv/Small-man-Havoc-Crew-Tier-Consolidation/first
Actually been keeping an eye on T8 to be honest, they always seem to have the most even match up, points wise.
The other thing to keep in mind is that since our servers are so evenly matched, there’s nearly no chance that someone will move out of the tier (we’re 170~ rating below T7) so you won’t necessarily need to worry about transferring and having to move in the near future to keep the fights going.
There is a 100% condition duration cap.
It lasts for 10 seconds, it just shows 9 seconds when you hover over it because it is immediately less than 10 seconds.
With regards to NSP, I feel bad for the majority of the people on the server. Whoever ends up getting 15th place by the end of the current matchup is going to have a long 2 months of getting spawncamped.
That said, I would very much enjoy if rumors of a particular person being on NSP were true, because one would assume if it was, it might show them firsthand exactly why these leagues don’t really make matches more competitive.
I would do a Charr Warrior, because I hear it’s what the cool kids use these days.
Thanks for the reply.
Any more opinions? Scholar looks pretty good.
I always used mending in the past, I guess there are better options now. I’ll need to do some research I guess.
Some more opinions would be appreciated though.
With regards to Scholar, it’s way too hard to stay above 90% health out of PvE, and if you’re above 90% health long enough for it to matter you generally shouldn’t need help winning that fight.
Generally you’ll want a rune set that is always an active bonus, or can help you come back from a losing position. Depending on Sigil and Elite choice (Sigil of Battle or Strength and Signet of Rage), Runes of Strength could function extremely similarly to Scholar runes, but always be active given a might stack, making them a much more consistent choice that helps even if you aren’t topped off on health. Do mind the price, they’re pretty expensive still.
Yah this weapon seems extremely op. All 5 of its skills are cc. Its a Great axe it should be low mobility but extremely high damage.
Yes.
1) 100 Axes. Spin in place. Does damage and applies bleed.
2) 200 Axes. Spin in place. Does damage and applies bleed and burning.
3) 300 Axes. Spin in place. Does damage and applies bleed, burning, and weakness.
4) 400 Axes. Spin in place. Does damage and applies bleed, burning, weakness, and vulnerability.
5) 500 Axes. Spin in place. Does damage and applies bleed, burning, weakness, vulnerability, and fear.
Ogre are a consistent damage increase runeset, Melandru is decent if you need help against conditions.
Healing Signet is still quite strong, only 8% less than pre-change. Healing Surge is nice if you need more adrenaline and is a better spike heal. Mending/Defiant are generally too weak to recommend for roaming.
Thanks to the ET Thief who dropped me the Hunter. Mapped before I could catch the tag.
Put the deletion circle on the ground directly below the chopper.
I desperately need an Ascended box so that I can filter my weapons into the correct boxes like the Exotic boxes used to do for my Exotic weapons. I think 300 Fractal Relics (going on the same pattern as the other ones) would be a great price for them.
Sorry for the necro, but does the loot ‘rolling’ occur when the mob dies and the loot is placed on the ground, or when I pick it up?
When the mob dies, assuming Magic Find works the same way as Gold Find, which will not modify the gold dropped by bosses in dungeons if you apply it after the boss dies.
Here to voice my disappointment in the limiting of Keg Brawl and other activities. I can’t believe they would make an activity, that was from release consistently available, limited like this. It seems like a massive step backwards in design. What terrible idea will crop up next? Only having one dungeon open per day? Only having one WvW map open per day? Only having one sPvP map open per day? Only having one open world map open per day? Only having one Server open per day?
None of those make any sense at all, who in their right mind would think this change is improving the game?
1.] For Structured-PvP. which professions can play a huge part in “Support” game-play & what are the “Unique” differences among them that separate them from the rest.
The most viable option for support would likely fall to Guardian, which has lots of area of effect buffs (giving teammates access to Stability, Protection, Retaliation, among other things). Its ally healing isn’t quite as strong as Elementalist, but they rely more on prevention than restoration.
Staff and Hammer provide area control, each with a Ward that prevents non-Stability enemies from passing through. Staff provides little for personal offense, but can give a substantial team damage boost with its ability to give might, while Hammer does reasonably offensively, with point blank aoe protection from the auto attack. Hammer also fits more into the control with an immobilize and a launch.
————————————————————————————————————————————-
2.] For Structured-PvP, can I expect any professions to be singled out when competing on a serious level? If so, why?
Warriors are generally regarded as the worst PvP profession, because their profession is vastly more straightforward than other options. This means that their options are predictable, and while they can be devastating if they catch their opponent making a mistake, to win often requires their enemy to make that error. They have good mobility, but lack stealths, teleports, and have extremely limited invulnerability frames. They are still viable, but they are not nearly as effective as other pressure can be, especially given their affinity to melee instead of ranged combat.
————————————————————————————————————————————-
3.] For PvE, I love farming items. It was my main focus in Guild Wars 1, because it felt like my 3-D MMO styled “Diablo” game. So in other words, can solo farming for items be rewarding? Can you find exceptionally great items solo?
For reference, a Legendary Weapon costs from the range of 1000 to 2000 gold.
Some of the most sought after and expensive drops you can get, precursors (a component of a particular Legendary) can range from 30 gold to 700 gold, and can be dropped from literally any enemy in the game that can drop level 80 loot. That said, they have an incredibly low drop rate (and can be obtained a small amount of other ways). So it is possible to get exceptionally great items alone.
On the other hand, a much more consistent method of making money is farming the quickest available dungeon with the most damaging team composition possible, which requires 5 people. This method can quite easily make 5 gold an hour, all the while providing chances (through chests/enemy kills) at the same precursors.
There are not too many areas with great options to farm in the open world, and those that get too popular are systematically nerfed.

On that note, if you have any questions or want me to elaborate on my answers, don’t hesitate to yell at me ingame.
It’s not a discovery, it’s a recipe. Buy the recipe from the Master Huntsman.
Yo dawg, I heard you liked Tiers, so we put Tier 5 in your Tier 8 so you can fight while you fight.
I honestly cannot imagine why anyone would have the “Rightclick to interact/attack” option on. I highly recommend turning it off and simply using leftclick to target. It solves the issue you just mentioned.
This dungeon really isn’t difficult, you just have to learn the mechanics of the fights. Ooze are easy to pull if you bring people with reflects, blinds, cc, anything to prevent the elementals from killing it. Sparky and Slick are just health pools as long as you have the ooze’s target kiting it to the pools of oil. All the rooms from there to the boss are just regular trash, and a Foreman that’s incredibly easy to range (or the electric floor bit, which is a joke if you can learn patterns). The most difficult part of the dungeon, in my opinion, is killing the 8 hologenerators before the boss without massacring your party. The boss itself only throws players directly behind it, so if you don’t put it inbetween you and the center, you can’t be thrown into it. The bosses attacks are incredibly over-telegraphed, and you should probably bring Spectral Grasp, Temporal Curtain, Scorpion Wire, Stomp, Banish, Magnet, Point Blank Shot, etc… to move the holo to the boss (which you have thirty seconds to do). It’s really not difficult, you just need to learn the dungeon.
