Yeh.. so much for those self entitled types who make their own groups and specify what they want in them =p I join them and tell them to do things my way because their way is rediculous and doesn’t work with my pvt gear. Always in such a rush with their glass gear, always dieing and doing no dps on the floor. I always tell them to just spread out and ranged spiderqueen, stacking never works and gets everyone killed, same with lupicus. Also I don’t want to be forced to exploit. They need to understand that when i’m doing cm im not interested in using cheap mechanics like reflects, I want to take my time and rely on my playstyle and skill.

I’ve solo’d many dungeon bosses/mobs after the rest of my party wipes. Though I’d be interested to see how well this set up works with Nomad stats

Thanks I am familiar with this site and Brazil’s ranger builds. But I’ve never seen numbers for condi Rangers earnestly run by him or other players.

I haven’t even been able to craft a single piece of dungeon gear because I’m constantly booted and its just so wrong and frustrating. People say these instances are not that difficult yet people treat them so seriously.. My faith says to forgive and forget but this is just so crushing. Help?

Can you imagine the QQ about adding something to the game that cannot be achieved by the lowest common denominator?

As an example, in pvp there’s people who play worse than capture bots with r80 dragon finishers because they can mindlessly farm hotjoins. So they added a new armour set for the tourny players and the QQ was insane. People don’t like having to get good at the game to be rewarded, and they don’t like the idea of other people getting better at the game to be rewarded more.

Personally I would like a Hard Mode but yeh , there’s still people complaining that the LS backpack is too hard to get because they have to do fractals.

You have to lvl it to 500 in some slow and painfully expensive process that involves T6 mats and ectos, and then to ‘polish’ your armour it takes 1500 dragonite.

Why exactly?

Because it divides the community. I run PVT guardian and ran HOW P1, ended up with all zerkers. At the end boss, everyone kept going down and 1 guy died next to an NPC, when I went to rez him, I ended up rezzing the NPC instead. This guy calls me out on it and I apologize. Then he proceeds to say that the reason we are having trouble is because I can’t do enough damage and that the NPC probably does more damage then I do. Well, the other party members didn’t like that comment and actually decided to kick him. We got another party member and finished the dungeon.

I decide to do SE path 1 and everyone decides to stack in the corner for the 3 golems, everyone goes down in a matter of a few seconds. I could tell they were zerkers. After 3 tries we finally got it. After finishing that path, went on to p3. Well, group decided to run past all the mobs right before the first boss and all the enemies got aggroed, followed and wiped everyone out 2 times. After everyone was already downed the 3rd time within a matter of seconds, I just decided to call it quits today. Next time I’m in a dungeon, I’m almost thinking about posting “No Zerkers” I mean maybe I can’t kill enemies as fast as the other people but if people are going down after 1 or 2 hits, how much faster can it be to have to start over and over and over again because the whole party wipes?

Even if they nerfed zerk gear I still wouldn’t want to play with people in pvt.

I just keep gravitating back here. :/

Good, everyone should be gainfully employed. I asked them how old their characters were, especially the guy who had the ascended greatsword (could’ve been account bound from a mesmer or something, who knows). Two of them said it was their only character, one said it was his third, one said it was his second, and of course it was my third 80 as well. The lowest AP score of the entire group was mine, at 3,486.

You mean to tell me those two guys who only have one character each, one with ascended weapons, and more than 3.4k AP each, have NEVER done the CoF story?

I completed the CoF story for the first time with the rest of my guild when all of us were sub level 80 on our only characters, I had something around 800 AP.

m8, I’ve seen people with over 14k AP who have never set foot in a dungeon.

I farm everyday every dungeon. I notice that if I take a break and don’t even log in for a few days, upon return I always get more shinys :o
I don’t know how it works but since my computer is out of action for a bit I’m expecting to hit jackpot on my return ^^

• Removed Giganticus Lupicus from all paths of Arah. It has come to our attention that this boss fight does not come close to anything we outlined in out initial design manifesto. Furthermore, those who solo’d this boss are to recieve punishment for ‘exploiting’ as per our agreement with the lfg white knight kickers who have far more knowledge than us on who and who does not exploit along with how it is done.

• This fight has now been replaced with an underwater combat area in which players will face off against an ancient underwater dredge car that spits out aetherblade mobs. Once these are all defeated the car will morph faster than a bad mesmer can moa form lupicus’s locusts. It’s final form will be that of a random Hotw end boss.

Because it is the truth. If you’re telling me that fighting lupi for 10min is easier than 30 secs you are wrong. Which makes zerker equal to any other set or even easier in terms of skill.

That’s how the game works. if tanking with PVT was possible then PVT would be the ez mode set, where you just stand there take hits and kill stuff even if it takes 1 hour but its not the case which makes berserker the best AND the easiest gear to play with.

You can, the aegis from a guard saves u from 1 kick , thats enough to burst down phase 1. Phase 2 carried by mesmer’s feedback , no need to dodge. Phase 3 autoatack and win.

Btw what you are referring to is a perfect kill which in and of itself requires excellent coordination + good rng to achieve maximum dps and smooth phase transition. You won’t get that by just walking in, stacking and auto attacking. It’s a pity this has to be explained, but I suppose not everyone has actually achieved this and so they make sweeping assumptions.

All other dungeons i do not press the dodge button at all.

People really are quick to make assumptions. Reading forum posts is much like pugging as well. Can’t expect much I suppose.

I actually make my own group and specify what I want in the description. However people have trouble reading so I have to gear check them which is really just sad. I often receive verbal abuse and people trying to break my party up for running the dungeon the way they don’t like. Funny how it works.

My argument is basically this:

I say I want these things. People ignore me. Join anyway. Rage at me what I ask them to read the description or think they can sneak by and get carried with their hipster builds.

Perhaps I need to be more specific in my comment description so I don’t get people quoting me and saying ridiculous things. It would almost make sense if I just jumped in any old pug and expected them to be good. But I don’t. And if I did it’s pretty much assumption they are going to be bad and I wouldn’t complain.

Using a ranged weapon on mai trin is a bad idea.

Using a melee weapon and then running in circles at 15% hp for almost the whole fight is worse. Apparently you share the mindset with the guy I described (and had the “pleasure” running this exact fractal with). The Ele we had in the same group was using d/d, with pretty much the same result. Dead people don’t do dps, and people who have to pick up your worthless body from the ground don’t do either.

I just had a discussion actually. There should be a separate calculator for PHIW builds.
The DPS meter would be converted into an FPS meter (Feels Per Second).
As an example:
Nomad’s double bow ranger with spider and bear pets has one of the highest FeelsPerSecond ever emotionally calculated. It’s the must have staple to every PHIW team comp.
Feels Per Second is the mathematical measurement of emotional attachment to a build.

^ It’s basically this. Zerker is not a problem. The problem is that other setups are not as viable and should be buffed.

Swiftpaw, you know what I mean by pressing 11 .. No matter what buttons you press you can stand still and facetank the dmg in full zerk gear. And sadly I cant record anything in arah because of the poor performance. Thatss why I end up dying in phase 3 to the shooting atack when solo.

It also has nothing to do with disagreeing. It’s about discussing how to diversify playstyles in GW2, to make the game better for everyone, and not for a certain playstyle only.

GW2 is actually worse than a trinity MMO. You cannot play anything else, lest you be scorned and kicked. At least in trinity MMOs, you can have 3 choices. In GW2, it’s berserker, or gtfo.

Sorry mate but I’m not a charity, I’m there to get dungeons done, not hold people’s hands and put up with their kitten PHIW builds that they think are good for hours on end everyday. The only form of ‘elitism’ in this game is when someone joins someone elses party and expects those people to put up with their kitten, and play the game how they want.
