Sorry, I misread your post, in that case you probably shouldn’t move if you already have characters. You can move for free if you have no characters, but otherwise you’ll have to pay. As for your worries, you’ll take longer to load into LA because of the player density, but queue times only really apply to WvW and gold sellers can reach you on any server so long as they have your account name.

The system is not that great when it comes to fractals/dungeons.. It has been getting worse and people do not want to play it. .If you do not have a certain build/character you will get kicked a many time before you can get on a team that will play it. It definitely will not please a new player that made the wrong choice of character that just finally hit 80 thinking they are going to do these types of events with that character.. The whole system tends to push more players away than entice them to play. Short of joining a Guild that they might not want to even be part of or to do the research on what character to play the game with. and new players should really not have to research what characters are deemed acceptable for certain content in game..

For exploration I used GS and sword+wh for mobility, with SoR also you can nearly perma swiftness. When fighting mobs though, plan to switch out to another wep set like axe mainhand or bow for a ranged weapon. Also, axe offhand is terrible and you should never have reason to use it. By chaining FGJ and elite u achieve perma fury anyway.

I didn’t have to read the whole post to strongly agree how slow mesmers are. Please make a speed signet for mesmers, I don’t care whether you replace Signet of Midnight, nobody uses it anyway.

This elitist mentality is what bothers me most about this game. Seriously, if you have fun playing a certain class, with a certain weapon, then go for it. If synergy is soooo important to you elitist dungeon runners, whey the hell are you running with pugs in the first place. I paid just as much for this game as anyone else, and I’ll be sure to bring whatever the hell weapon I want.

Synergy is important because we want to avoid wipes while running. We don’t hate all pugs, we just hate the stupid ones who can’t read LFG descriptions and come in anyway expecting to be carried through the whole run. Sometimes they can get away with it, but with things like fractals the whole team can suffer because that useless bearbow was pew pew-ing at 1200 range while you’re stacked up, or that PVT tank guardian that does next to no damage is griefing you with his light fields.

Everyone else has told you – pugs can play however the hell they want, and we have the right to write our LFG posts the way we do, and force people to respect them by kicking. We pug because sometimes we need to, but don’t expect us to compromise on quality just to get a slot filled.

As far as I remember, the DPS meter simply reads values from the memory. Grey area, since ANet hasn’t said anything specific about memory reading.

If you were trying to push for maximum damage then you’d have to go for 6/6/0/0/2. Personally I drop Revealed Training and go 5/6/0/0/3 because I find the extra 3 initiative helps me a lot with mobility (dat HS spam) while not being a large drop in DPS.

I share pretty much the same feelings as you do haha. The only reason I really play now is because of my guild/friends.

This. It’s always the people that keep me going – without a bunch of friends and a guild to spam to, I probably would have quit this game before completing my Sunrise. It’s my friends that motivate me and keep me going in between new content patches, and they’ve done so sufficiently for me to begin working for Eternity.

Trust me, after over 3000 hours you’re sure to tire of the content and begin playing to chat more than to be productive.

6/6/0/0/2 for max DPS, 5/6/0/0/3 for 3 extra initiative at the cost of a little bit of DPS. These two builds are the meta builds (as far as I remember). You could also try 5/6/0/3/0 if you need more dodges available to you.

Traits taken:
Deadly Arts:
VI (Sundering Strikes, critical hits have a 50% chance of applying a stack of vulnerability, no ICD)
VII (Improvisation, bundles and conjured weapons do 10% more damage and stealing recharges a random type of utility) or IX (Dagger Training, 5% more damage for dagger skills)

A well played ranger is never useless. The stereotypical puggies can’t get it through their heads.

Engineer is good if the party cannot max out vulnerability stacks, which is often the case in a pug group.

LEGIT PATCH NOTES

Following many complaints that fractals were not rewarding enough, we have made the following changes:

• Doubled the drop rate of precursors in the fractal reward chests. Now everyone can get their hopes up for a big letdown jackpot!

• To counteract the increase in precursors entering the game, we have now added dredge to every single fractal. All dredge now also carry death lasers and light sabers, which they will not hesitate to vaporise you with.

• Added new boss fractal: Dredge Vader. Has a 42% chance of being the boss on scale 42 and up. This new boss will repeatedly attempt to tell you he is your father, and to defeat him you must learn the ways of the old Jedi deny him and press 4 to win.

• New control effect: NOOOOOOOOOOO! Inflicted by Dredge Vader if you fail to deny him, causing you to shout exactly that for what may be the longest 10 seconds of your life. Regular dredge have a 1% chance of causing this effect with their normal attacks. Rabsovich has now also been updated to inflict this CC on you every time he says “No no no!”.
