Good, good, now tell us about how interesting lying flat on the floor is. We’re literally dying to know.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
And again, so bosses should do melee attacks on players when they range too because that’s an obvious exploit.
but how else could I possibly survive? there’s no trinity to saaaaaave meeeeee
According to some people, stacking trivialises everything and disables attacks.
Therefore, the logical solution is to stack.

Reading through the whole thread, I have this quote from Nike to offer:
A good percentage of the people asking for help aren’t actually asking for help. Quite a few people create their own special snowflake builds that are quite bad (full clerics pve mesmer build or something similarly awful) and they put it up asking for “help” but meet any criticism with defensive responses. You see, they don’t want “help” they want “validation.”
They desire responses like “This looks pretty good, no changes needed,” or at harshest, “Not my cup of tea but looks pretty good for what it is.” They just want simple validation for the choices they are going to make anyway regardless of the feedback.
It’s human nature to seek validation of our choices, so I don’t blame people for seeking it. But just the same, it gets tiring seeing the same pattern over and over again so it also doesn’t surprise me when they dont get the type of responses they hoped for.
If you want to run that build that’s fine, but I hope you read LFG posts clearly before hitting the join button. If your team is oriented towards DPS, you are pretty much dead weight.

My fellow Mind Brains! Are you ready to pass judgment?
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Great, now I have a brain tumour as well.

You definitely have a better proposition than the other guy talking about precursors.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
If you consistently clear all the maps you’ll end up with a lot of transmutation stones, that’s all I can say since I don’t really catch your meaning. ><
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Combat is very one dimensional and somewhat shallow in the game.
In pve zerker meta and pew pew something stacked until it’s dead.
Pvp you have a few more options but everything in this game is indeed judged and rewarded by how much dps you do.
All else is an after thought.
Says the guy who accepted Dub’s challenge and never showed up for it, hm?

I think it’s related to the next update, there was a teaser pic on Facebook.

NO. You must stand there and facetank it. That way people will be encouraged to wear cleric’s/pvt.

All achievements are account-wide, so you can do them using any character. On a related note, achievement rewards can also be shared between characters.

I think plenty of us would not be playing anymore if it worked that way.
No, whoever is investigating will review the logs and other evidence before deciding what to do.

Some bosses ad objects are rounded, they can not be backstabbed.
Wrong. All attackable entities have a “back”, even if you can’t see it.

If you mean unique paths rather than grinding out the same path over and over, I think you can take CoF P1, HotW P1, SE P1/3 and AC P1/3.
Yep, those are the few I can think of that you can easily get through with a reasonably skilled puggie group.

So they should send out an obtrusive out of character mail ingame, or worse come up with some lore designed mail, each time they want to convey information, or else patch the game, when they can just announce it here. It’s not like Dev messages are obscure. It’s REAL easy to figure out which ones they are, cause it’s all splattered with red.
No, if someone won’t learn a certain way, then they don’t need to learn and they DO need to miss out. Too bad for them.
Good thing you’re not a teacher, you’d get fired in a second.

If you took full zerker gear expecting to faceroll all mobs in under a second before they could flatten you without using your dodges, you’re in for a nasty surprise.
The key for the lovers fight is to separate them, by the way.

If you want to roll a guardian, you can, but you must know when to blind and give Aegis. In speedclear groups you will usually burn through the mobs extremely fast, but in the event you don’t this is where the guardian comes in to cover the party as they try to burn through the mobs. By covering the party I don’t mean using carebear clerics or pvt gear, I mean by negating attacks with blinds and group Aegis. A guardian is all about proactive defense by taking the fight to a foe, and to that end you are capable of outputting an impressive amount of damage, which under certain conditions can possibly beat out a warrior’s DPS (I need some clarification on this myself). :D
The picture below sums up what I see Lilith as.
PS: I’m a slow typer on an iPad. :(
PPS: I also forgot to mention you have great group condition removals as a guardian.

I wonder if I’ll ever clean up my unfinished business in this game.

“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Tired of not actually playing the game when you run dungeons with pugs? Tired of skipping half of the dungeon? Tired of exploits? Tired of gameplay that has been dumbed down to dodge rolling into walls and spamming 1? Honestly, it seems that, as a result of all of the efficiency-oriented dungeon metagames and champ zerging, most of the community has forgotten how to actually play.
That’s a nice offer, but I think you are having some misconceptions about our skill levels. And I’m quite certain that speedrun tactics are the result of repeatedly doing dungeons and learning every detail of the encounters. Efficient, yes, but we most certainly have not forgotten how to play, we just want to avoid wasting time and repair fees.
But that doesn’t matter. We play how we want. Good luck. :>

You’re 4 months too late, mate.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I miss the old fails thread, ever since they deleted it puglyfe stories just get scattered throughout the forum. :/
Also, pugs are just… bad. Pro tip: if you need a guardian, get a friend you trust, or play one yourself. Never ever trust pug guards, they’ll fubar everything. :>
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I’ll just answer your questions quickly:
1. Yes, anything held in the account vault and wallet will go with you regardless of server.
2. Don’t leave Blackgate. If you regret your decision, it’ll be very difficult to get back in (and it’ll cost you 1800 gems if you have any characters).
3. Group play wise, necros don’t fare as well as other classes because they bring very little support to the team. They can however hold their own with ease in any solo situation, and even if outnumbered they can easily withstand several hits.
4 and 5. Warriors are practically ArenaNet’s pet class, so you won’t go wrong with one. They can easily take on groups and veterans (or even both at once), but anything champion and up and you’ll have to begin playing off your own skill (though this is the case for the other classes too)
6. I can’t say for PvP, I don’t do it.
So if you want to play a warrior, go ahead! There’s no barrier to entry at all.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I can’t help but point out how your post and signature are very… what’s the word I’m looking for? You get the point.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Or you can do the champ train events in Queensdale and get pretty rich at the end selling all the things you get. The leveling rate is 1 level /hour or less. it will feel like a Nascar race with hundreds of laps going from troll, to bandit then oak and spider following up to the boar. From time to time you might take a pit stop route to the wasp.
This, with a caveat:
If you’re going to do this to 80, you will most likely end up brain dead and hunger for money.

“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
I realy can’t understand the crying about the dungeon-sell-posibility via player-to-player system.
Is it realy hard for some players to understand, that even if you can spend 15-20 min. to finish dungeon path, you always have an alternative way to safe your own time for 1g (2.5g per path with 1.5g reward) and earn 60 badges, save same 15-20 min. and be free to go ?
Stop envying ! The player who offers you to buy path, spent a bit more of his own play time for a “small compensation”. I myself know every dungeon and prefer to make fast runs with easy money, but when you have no time but need badges – sell offers is always is an option.
This guy gets it.
“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
So when I do a dungeon and post in LFG with requirements, I am morally obligated to carry any and all people who do not comply with my requirements. Should I kick them I will be labeled as an evil elitist and scum of the earth for protecting my interests, while the person I kicked is hailed as a martyr for his noble sacrifice in the crusade against my fellow Mind Brains and Elitist Jaguars.
At least, your logic appears to imply so.

“Memories are nice, but that’s all they are.”
Yes, I too remember the times when I would join a play how you want party in the lfg and then proceed to make their runs more efficient by playing meta. Man I was an awful individual, forcing my meta ways on them. I bet they were after nice slow runs where they could sit around with their ranged weapons and auto attack a boss while watching TV, getting downed and wiping every so often to break up the monotony.. but NO. Scumbag Swiftpaw came in and ruined it by making the mobs die faster.
Meanwhile in reality world:
- Scumbag elitist makes a group, states that he only wants zerk/scholar.. is then hit with a plague of play how you wants joining and hoping to slip through without being noticed and get carried. When he kicks them he is verbally abused in whispers. On the forums he has a ‘superiority complex’ and is ‘selfish’ for wanting a fast run.
- Play how you want makes a group with some general and non specific description -
Evil scummy elitists avoid them and don’t join because elitists have an obvious ‘superiority complex’. Play how you want carries on with his business undisturbed. Is heralded as a hero by the community for being ‘the other side of the coin’ and a special snowflake. Can’t understand why he gets kicked from scumbag elitist’s ‘zerk+ scholar only’ advertised runs on his full cleric’s mace/shield guardian.Man I LOVE equality.
