why do you care what legendary people are going to craft? is it coming from your pocket?

5. Depends if you are a farmer or not. Doing dungeons and sw would get you 200-300 in a week if you farm your eyes out.

This just comfirmes people will be people. I personally am thrilled with this change because i had pleasure to do fractals and dungeons with a dozen of kitten instance owners who did:

order other party members to change builds or kick, ordered to change weapons or kick, played tag for 5 min with his kittengy guildie and refuse to press rdy, pour kitten storm of profanity on ele who dropper fgs 1.2 sec later and then if you say something to defend poor guy and say that’s not ok, threaten to kick you, if you ask nicely and give advice to someone who wipes on every single thrash mob and he actually kicks you.

And this is just a drop in a sea of kittengery i encountered with instance owners.

I’m just hoping the vote kick will be increased to 3. Cant tell how happy i am with this update, it will reduce the dungeon selling to minimum too.

You have no use of maxing professions on lvl 22. You would be creating items you can’t use or sell really low on tp.

And explore, gather materials and craft along the way, you get tons of materials as you lvl trust me, there is no need to buy it from tp.

So gaza, you seem to buy gold or gems with real money so you don’t seem to struggle like some players ingame.

I’m for skipping. I’m for exploits. Main reason is RNG. In fractals i get a gold and a half after 4 dungeons. In pve i get a gold and 60 tokens in 20ish min.

On tequatil i get 3 greens. It takes around an hour to organize and manage to defeat it (due to overflow you need to get there early), on fire elemental i get 3 champion boxes and a few rares. It takes around 40 sec to defeat it.

So there you have it. When they fix RNG, i’ll stop skipping and exploiting.

Are you looing for a condition (the build that is not focusing on a raw damage insted they apply conditions on enemies) (heavy) class? then S(sword)+S(sword) & LB (longbow)warrior would be my first idea, but if you’re looking for conditions there are a lot of builds

Some melee (melee means dmg done in close like with dagger, not from afar like shoot arrows from longbow):

Earth D(dagger)/D(dagger) Ele (elementalist) (bleeds/fire)-conditions you apply
S(sword)+S(sword)/ LB(longbow) Warrior (bleeds/torment/burning)-conditions you apply

Ranged (shooting from distance):
SB(shortbow)/ A+T (axe+torch) ranger (some bleeds, poison, burning)-conditions you apply
Stf(staff)/ Sc+T (scepter+torch) mesmer (PU) (well a lot)
Stf(staff)/ Sc+ D (scepter+dagger) necro (necromancer) (bleeds, poison, torment, terror)
SB(shortbow)/ P+D (pistol+dagger) Thief (bleeds/torment/poison)

Grenade/ gasgun engi (a lot)

Tankyness is mostly derived from gear, Rabid or Dire Armor, Trinkets and Weapons tend to make you tank fast.

If you alsso want some power you culd choose a sinister build in a heavy or medium class and add some rabidpieces on legs/chest/head armor, while not very tanky it will have some more sustain and a more balanced way of doing dmg…

edit: Oshelotae, when you say bleed, what do you mean? I have a feeling it doesn’t mean applying the condition.

I stoped last season when i accidently broke my keyboard by slamming my fist in it. My team was winning, and we were like 20 points apart and my whole team was far. Then other team decided to steal our animal in last minute.

2 of them came and killed me leaving me downed, one went to kill the animal other went for a decap. I struggled to get up and tried to fight and type at the same time typing pls help they are stealing our animal somebody come they will win. Nobody bothered to came. They won 519:498.

But before that i was at dead end for 3 days slowly bleeding pips in t5 diamond. So i slammed my fist and realised it’s time to stop. Nothing is worth getting worked up like that.

This reminded me on one funny video.

I bought gw2 when it launched. I payed around 45 euros. I played allmost 3 years, never bought any gems with real money.
Whatever the expansion will cost, i will buy it and i’m ok whatever the price is. Because i don’t plan spending a dime of real money (again) after that purchase.

Another question if you dont mind is the warrior the only one with Conditions or does a guardian have them as well? i will be making a warrior like the one you mentioned above but i also wanted to make a character similar to Logan Thackeray just for fun and RP purposes but i like the playstyle of tanky characters who use Conditions as their primary damage source. Is there any thing similar to that?

first please tell me what do you mean by bleeds. People will understand this as a condition but i have a feeling you are not asking that. please do explain.

Every class can do either zerk (pure dmg guild) or condition (applying freezes, confusions, burns, poisons and so on)

Some classes do it better then others, but every class can pull both off.

And, can’t imagine anything more fun then fearing for your kick every time you do something with your guild running the meta zerk builds on everything because somebody else barked the commands. But… if people like it who am i to say anything.

Anyway, 25 min on 50 is possible uf you get lucky with fractal selection which rarely happens. Some fractals require more time than others simply because there is alot running/waiting then dealing dmg.

So 25 min, SOMETIMES, but allmost never standard running time. What it bothers me he said it, not once, that is standard time for a good run, and anything else is below average. If he makes yt videos that doesn’t make him entitled to proclaim average running time on 25 min just because he’s manicly speed clearing it because he’ll get kicked if they have 26min clearing time.

So i quit mentoring a while ago for the sake of my sanity. I do not whish explain anything to anyone again. Go to internet. Google. Practice with noob pugs and see if that’s fun to wipe over and over again because people are dense. I practiced with pugs and learned.

Bacause 3 years ago that face was the most appealing to me, there weren’t so many options back then.

But! I run fractals with two of my buddyes and none of us are in the same guild. We could easily kick people. But as decent human beings, we don’t. Also if you can, run with 2 buddyes it is kind of anti kick insurance.

yes i am thrilled when a lvl 60 joins a cliffside above lvl 50 with 0 ar and 0 idea what to do.

just other day i had to kick a guy who was lvl 80 with 1k something AP despite we stated 5k ap in lfg. Reason was arrogant behaviour and taking whisps whithout even saying go to other players or saying anything really. After kick he whispered me why kick? Well little fella, i explained, there is something called common curtesy and respect to other 4 people who are in the team with you. He kept joining lfg and we kept kicking him it was really awkward.

Because this is one of the rare topics on the forum that i created and is created for fun and sharing funny things people did, don’t discuss meta zerk elitist builds here, keep your elitism for yourself and stay on topic.

I think i’m a little elitist zerk jerk (lol it rhymes) but only if i play with my full ascended elementalist. And we all know how much a gold sink is to craft entire light armor and ascended backitem (i have shiny fractal one) and 3 ascended weapons. If i spent gold and gold and so much effin gold on these items, if i run lvl 50 i prefer people to have proper ar and not die every time instability hits. I prefer to do a quick run with reasonable people and not leechers that spam autoattack from max range while i’m sticking my neck in front row with my 14k health and actually use dodge unlike the ranged people. I like not to wipe 7 times on the boss and do as much dmg as possible because being in dungeon 3+ hours is not appealing to me. And if i, filthy casual crafted my zerk armor and weapons with no grinding whatsoever…. please. I just want a smooth run with people who know what to do, if i’m elitist jerk because of that, so be it.

2 years of fractals here, i think i was lvl 70 something before patch. Those were the times when rangers were highly wanted especially on high lvl fractals. Reason? Because last fractal was allways jade maw, and on higher lvls people would drop dead when they set one step on the last boss platform because we didn’t have proper ar. Therefore “search and rescue” was used to revive dead people (i think now it only works on downed).

Anyway, now the tables are turned. Doing daily low and high lvl fractals, in sake of my mental health I avoid joining teams with necros and rangers.

Reason? I’m gonna be extremly polite and say they are terrible.
In 2 years of fractals, i have met 2 good rangers that played their class very very good. No good necros. But this is not about necros.

I have dozen of screenshoots that i’m not going to post since i would have to do a lot of blurring and i don’t feel like it.

99.9% of rangers stay longbow on max range no matter what opponent is like.
98% are not aware that they have a weapon switch button.
97% are so occupied with spamming 1 on longbow that can’t manage to track their pet’s health and switch it on time before it dies.
40% of them like to boss other people around especially boon wise and resent if others die in melee while they are spitting arrows from 1200.
59% stay quiet and are scared to say anything so people don’t kick them while they are useless and spit arrows on 1200.
73% are not aware there is passive ability on their pet menu.
And somehow, I have no idea how, 85% of them manage to die while on 1200 and kill at least 2 more people who are dumb anough to ress them.

And many more!!

And if you, god forbid, have a complaint on their game style ooooh naw gulr! How dare you?? What gives you the right to complain? They don’t complain on your melee game style, what gives you the right to say anything to them?

And if you are going to attack me, yes i have a ranger and i love to play it. I use her for farming world bosses or sw or pvp because she is not usefull for anything else and i know it. Being usefull as a ranger is pretty hard because you don’t have much space for errors and it’s hard to learn to play it right and only a hand full of people know how to play it decent. So instead, they go mindless barebow spamming 1 and that’s it. Why?

Because it’s easy. Sometimes it can slide trough, sometimes you get kicked, sometimes you get kicked on sight. Is it fair? No. But lot of people kick on sight because they want to preserve their sanity during that 1-2 hour in fractals.

I love new warhorn sound. It sounds like reaper ships from mass effect. Every time i toot it i get scared a little. But i love it.

in mmr hell currentlly. now i have option to just continue playing till i lose all my pips or just give up now and maintain this little self respect and sanity i have left. screenshoot is 2 days ago and now. you win pvp. i give up.

People in this game often think they will get everything with minimal efort.

It took me half a year to complete my first map completion due wvw and yet i didn’t wrote a forum topic about it. I waited out the switches and completed it. After that i did 3 more world completions and am working on the fifth which is allmost over. Patience is the key, zerg joining on resets and stuff like that.

Left click it and there is a select stats or change stats option. Unequip it first.

Or you can, you know, take your time and not rush into content? There are several world boss timers online that let you keep track of them. And all of them are placed nicely one after another. While you wait for boss to spawn, you can, you know, gather stuff for literaly 5 min that takes the boss to spawn, of even less if you help with preevents (but that’s just too much work eh?) , earn some extra gold.

All of the world bosses can be done in under 4 hours. All of them.

Maybe i should quit the game for a half a year maybe then i’ll get a precursor. I’m serously considering it now.

I am afraid of most sharks in Gw2 due to a phobia, and because of that avoid the orrian ocean, -especially- where the megalodon spawns. I’ve been forcing myself to deal with them to overcome this.

I have about 5 chests in my bank of ascended armor plus one weapon chest. I salvaged one for a glob of dark matter of what is it called, for the collection ach. I salvaged around 30 rings, no globs. So, we are going to be forced to craft ascended to salvage it, in order to get legendary back? Because i expect we’ll be needing a butt load of globs for legendary back.

Be in the zone of the dungeon enterance you’ll get the pop up screen once one of your party members enter. People don’t spam map chat to get in groups, there is lfg tool now for every dungeon, create your own or join allready posted groups. Just read the description people put, and for now don’t join zerk speedruns just now.

Put a helmet on and problem solved. Or use total makeover kit and change skin and glow colour, maybe hair too to match the outfit. That’s the best you can do since scaling thing won’t happen.

So you are saying somebody kicked you because you didn’t meet the requirements stated in lfg and then being all smart kitten when they confronted you, phew really, some people have the nerve…..

1. It is, but since i doubt you have much experience ingame (like dungeons, that’s like a training for group content) and fractals, i think it would be better to 5-man it, you can find groups almost instantly or start your own in lfg and it fills up within minutes.

2. This is too extensive to answer, seasoned players can do it with whatever builds, it depends how capable are you and how much time are you willing to sacrifice per run. More dmg=shorter run=squishy and so on. Necros and druids are popular because you can faceroll. Food and utility and fractal potions also help.

Fractals also have instabilities starting lvl 20 i think, so there’s that. Just run them in order you’ll get in a hang of it. And don’t forget about agony resistance, the higher the lvl, the more you need.

I don’t see it as impossible, one of my friends have little under 31k ap. It’s something for super achievement hunters.
