Ignore the haters. Block them and enjoy the game. Have fun and laugh at those who try to tell you how to play.
They seem to be really good with their support. Just do not be sad if this thread gets closed :P
Hey, I think I asked this last year but I just wanted to see if there was something I missed.
Is there a way to disable friendly targeting? I find it hard to click on enemies in wvw when there are so many friendlies in the way like teammates, dolyaks, guards, and so on.
The same goes for dungeons or any type of battle I guess. I find that half the time during the heat of a fight that I am constantly targeting an ally when trying to target an enemy.
lol good luck cutting off players from their easy money. There is no way those players would ever support this. They want their gold/items as fast as possible with as little effort as possible.
I like the idea but 99% of the players who join the champ train will hate any idea that threatens their fast and easy income. :P
Just like the others said. Your account is either compromised or you are standing in an area that is leveling you up automatically. Could be something else but I am not sure of another possibility.
Best rewards ever. If you think you have too many, then use them for skill points.
Because I always need skillpoints?
Free skillpoints. If you see that as a bad thing then I don’t know what to tell you…
I have 350 on my ele alone, why do I want more of them.
Do you complain about the free items in the gemstore? I am curious. Also, skill points have multiple uses and if you feel like you really have no use for them then delete them. It still does not make sense that you see it as a bad thing.
Honestly, such posts never seize to amaze me.
You played this game for 2000 hours… what are you complaining about? That Anet can’t shove you a new content at the insane rate you consume it? You just nitpick really, any sensible person would see straight through your post, you are bored and you expect Anet to somehow magically revitalize your experience, despite you basically seeing every nook and cranny of their world.
You are done here, you won’t be getting expansion-worth of content every month (despite some Anet PR bullkitten), they can’t do it, especially not for people who fanatically play this game for hours upon hours every day and probably will finish whatever Anet throws at them short of a real expansion in half a day.
I now understand why all the content we’ve been seeing is temporary. It’s not a gift from A.net, it’s not the passionate work of designers who couldn’t care less about money – no, the sad truth is, it’s just an attempt to get people back in the game before the stuff expires. None of it is for the sake of lore or immersion, don’t let them bullkitten you – it’s the cold reality of a game that, like many, has turned rotten because of the desire of both developers and publishers to cash in on a product, rather than provide an experience worthy of remembrance.
Please… Are you really that naive? This game is not some sort of philanthropic project by NCsoft for kittened kids or something. This is business and NCsoft pays the bills and makes demand. And no, NCsoft is certainly not a bunch of passionate gamers. They are your usual bunch of people who want to make money.
Every game studio has their more passionate and less passionate crew, there are guys who are living and breathing with their “baby” game and there are those who just want to bring in paychecks home. In the end though, both of those cases need to get money from somewhere and this somewhere is an organization that wants to see profits and it’s their right, because as horrible as it may sound – you NEED them, without NCsoft, there would not be any Guild Wars as we know it.
This works both ways, on one hand people who do it for cash know that if the game fails – they will go down with it, but at the same time the passionate guys also realize that they can’t do whatever they want, because if it would be their way – the game would never come out to begin with and would have updates once in a millennium.
So yeah, this is the cruel reality and neither devs nor NCsoft can be blamed for it, because despite all their shortcomings they did pull out a great product with amazing value. And you can’t blame NCsoft for wanting to make money, that’s what they do and heck, in my opinion they do it in a good way, because they make stuff that let’s people have fun and does good.
Now banks on the other hand…
^ I pretty much agree with the points made here. That seems to be the reality of the situation.
Only problem I have is when I put lvl 80 in the description and players join without reading the description. Yeah you are getting kicked.
I don’t speed run but it is just easier when everyone is mega-geared and can offer great support or dps.
After a million runs you just want to get it done.
lol no
Just in case anyone was not aware c:
I hope I never see mounts in this game lol
Check your bank as some of my toys ended up in there.
Sadly my Roses disappeared after the patch. I have all my other toys but I had to submit a support ticket because somehow my roses were taken away from me.
Little Story:
So I made yet another character(engie) and started exploring queensdale with him. I decided to take my chances and take on the veteran ettin even though I was 3-4 levels below. Another player joined me and we had to keep him busy with turrets while we took care of the other ettins that kept spawning. A whole lotta dodging, close calls, and healing just so we could get the skill point.
It was really fun though and I enjoyed the challenge.
I noticed that many players prefer to win as fast as possible by zerging bosses, using exploits in dungeons, and only allowing certain builds/gear(whether you enjoy them or not) in order to complete instances as fast as they can.
TLDR:
I was wondering if there is anyone left out there who still enjoys that experience of exploring areas or taking on challenges above your level where you are outmanned and you have to rely on that random player who just happened to walk by to help you overcome these challenges. No zerging, no exploits, and all fun.
Note: I am not a very skilled player but that just adds to the challenge. I have been playing for over a year and I still love to explore the lands and run into other players who are trying to take down that boss all on their own.
Wish I could at least find a guild that still does that.
(Added this random picture I took for the dramatic effect :P)
I would like to echo this statement. All of my poor female Asura would be much happier with an option to choose female versions for some of these outfits and armor.
Plzzzzzz :c
Umad? Yeah….
Stacking seems like such a boring way to complete dungeons. It is effective but it is just so dang boring. I play the game to have fun and imo, stacking is not fun.
I don’t understand this argument. I need more info pls.
Because honestly… whether stacking itself is fun or not to you really isn’t the issue… is range kiting a boss fun? I find stacking more fun than that.
Must be personal opinions I guess.
Well yeah all of this is just opinion. I personally think both kiting and stacking are pretty boring. At least you are moving while kiting :P
Anyways, I think the issues is more about the lack of variety when it comes to fighting in dungeons. I don’t really see new ways of taking on dungeons.
For example
Player 1: Hey, I can use my pets to keep that one group of enemies busy.
Player 2: Looks like alot of them. Let me spawn my minions to help your pets.
Player 3: Those ranged targets will kill you guys though. I will use my guardian skills to deflect their projectiles for you.
Player 4: Okay, while you guys do that, me and Player 5 will keep the boss busy until you guys take out all the mobs. If things get too crazy, I can stealth us all and we can regroup.
Player 5: Yeah and when stealthed, I will use my water skills to heal us all quicker.
Not saying this would work but I just wanted to give an example of what I don’t see in dungeons. It happens but just not often. Combat is usually restricted to simple, yet effective ways of fighting (stacking/kiting). I just think there is a lack of variety.
I hope this made sense lol
If that is casual then I must be doing something wrong :P
Oh and I have the same hours as you.
People are going to play how they want so they can enjoy the game. If you want to alienate half of your team because they are not playing how you want them to play then you are only hurting yourself lol.
I don’t use TS because it is annoying to me and I like to blast my own music. If I don’t see a blue tag then I do my own thing until one shows up or I see commands in the map chat like “This tower is being attacked! Rally here!” or “Somebody make sure the siege is refreshed”.
And besides, somebody has to recap all of those camps so you have supplies in your towers :P
You have to have legendary creativity to be a part of the Asura fashion life endgame. It is not for everyone. Not everyone can accomplish such amazing feats as we do with our elite fashion sense that outshines even the largest of Norn and Charr!
We understand if you cannot handle it.
I am not sure what I am going to do but this is what I have for my ele atm.
After I figure out how I am going to dress her then I will do my warrior :P
I will add my warrior when I finish her too.
Had an 80 Charr engi. Deleted him and made an asura
Yay cheaper scribing! That alone makes me super happy lol
And bringing Alpine bl back?!?! omg yes!!!!
Bought a new character slot just so I could use the new face. Now if only they could improve medium armor so I don’t have to keep buying that darn t3 coat :/
Well, Cesmode, I have the same solution for you that I had for all the people that didn’t want an LFG tool added to the game….
If you don’t like it, don’t use it.
Dunno why people have a hard time with that lol
I usually make a ton of Asura characters but whenever I make a Norn or Human I always make them black
I love using my own skin colour.
subscription? lol gtfo with that bs.
I once decided not to rez a teammate in wvw because they were an Asura.
I regret nothing!
Reported for racism.
x3
Charr for life!
I don’t get the logic of some players who wants everyone to go through the annoying grind just because they did. I guess if that is what makes you feel cool, then hurray for you.
Exotic gear should not be time-gated.
I do it so players get angry and make forum posts about it. That lets me know that I was successful.
I just wish we could have the option to choose between male or female versions of armor and outfits. Both sides of this argument would be happy I think.
The ancestral outfit looks really nice and we get the female version for asura.
I just wish we could choose to wear the noble dress outfit too :c
Wait!! Send me all your stuff! Let someone actually put it to good use.
I feel like the only one in the world who likes Trahearne >.<
I was just fighting a champion in orr with about 3 others. 100 blades + flameblast from my sigil and I was dropping tons of damage. I even received a gold medal for killing him but I did not get my champion loot like the others.
There was only 4 of us so how could that be explained?
Irken
Much bump
Such Move
guiidwars2 lol I just can’t XD
I would like to ask for more control over parties that I create for dungeons. I am not very skilled so I like to attempt nice and simple runs where I can learn the dungeons with others who are also not very good yet.
The problem is that I always get players who either troll me, join with friends and kick me, or go afk without saying anything. I don’t always have someone online to join with me to help me kick these kinds of players.
I mean, since I created the party, shouldn’t I be able to have full control? I know that people fear abusive leaders but that is why we have the option to either leave and try another, or make our own.
I think many problems could be fixed this way with dungeons if everyone can make their own parties and have full control about who they play with.
You get free stuff and then complain about it… This community is such a fail lol
Pray to the achievement gods. Don’t forget the blood sacrifice.
Love everything about it! The map is great and I am really into the story. The politics were super interesting. Some of the secrets in the story were both cool and hilarious.
The jade construct things kicked my butt at first but I got em in the end!
Oh, and I really like how the friendly NPCs can actually fight now! It is pretty cool seeing them actually killing the white mantle. It makes me care more for them when they need my help.
I also love how there are parts that look back on things you have previously done in the game. That old hidden room in CM that I thought was just a glitchy test room years ago actually being where you fight the boss was so cool.
meh…
You all heard the constant hissing of the steam and never did anything about it. Lazy engineers.
