Don’t pick necromancer nor revenant. Those are trash tier in every game mode.
what about “allegedly”? you can see it everyday in newspapers.
We read the forums a lot more than you know. Karl/Peters and I actually print out threads sometimes and bring them to balance meetings.
We’re not ignoring any of the classes, I’m sorry if people feel that way. We simply don’t have time to personally post in all threads, on all our sub-forums.
If we feel ignored it’s cause of slow and non existent balance patches (for warr and necros, respectively) not for your lack of replies on the forum
- A poison spec!
I deeply hope you are wrong
kill the queen, we need a brave king instead.
I’m tired of female leaders in this game.
The problem with necros currently, and the reason for the cry is very simple.
1. have 40 percent crit and get dhuumfire to proc.
2. Flip to ds and get torment on everyone.
3. chain 2 fears together
This can be done in less than 3 seconds, and a player has no ability to respond during this time, because fear is ticking, you forced the extra torment damage, and burn is crazy powerful. It’s really strong right now but terror nerf isn’t what’s needed.
1. other classes have fear, with longer up time.
2. other classes have torment too.
3. only necros have fear damage (terror)
…
??
…
mmmm??
!!!!!
oh, maybe it has something to do with fear/terror
and awesome water combat skills!
And lose multi hit/interrupt? No way.
The only change it needs is Golem Charge should be insta cast. To actually interrupt abilities when we see them being casted.
I’m done with giving ideas on Axe to Anet. They never listen.
I think necros need more passive ways to generate life force. Like a trait that gave you lf when you are cc’ed or something.
Hey moderators! where are you? come here and do your job: close this troll thread.
Ppl are complaining about something they don’t even know.
To all those cryers out there: roll a necro, try to do all the things you say necros can do. When you realize you are as bad with necro as you are with your current class, you should stop with this nerf bullkitten.
Why don’t you also remember the great amount of necros out there before patch?
I will take you seriously when you aknowledge that dhuumfire+terror combo is the current problem. Not terror alone, not dhuumfire alone. There is enough streams out there that further showcase the tragic OP dhuumfire+terror combo. Until then, keep doing it, I love it.
Yep you right, its the combo. But Dhuumfire is about 1/3 of that combo, terror is 2/3 of total effect.
mmmm this won’t solve the problem. The problem being QQers on forum
The point being you don’t have to buy the majority of that stuff if you don’t want, you can gather and craft. So it is exactly either a time sink or a gold sink.
You can sell what you gather, though (this is good way to make money), so ultimately time and gold are equivalent if you have to farm buyable/sellable items. I wouldn’t mine substituting time for gold, but that’s not what’s happening here. Rather, you’re substituting time and gold for the same amount of gold. It might even be cheaper to buy it off the Trading Post.
That is a logical fallacy. It doesn’t matter how much you can sell materials for if you need to use that material to make your precursor. All that matters is are you buying the material or are you farming the material. If you’re buying the material you’re choosing to use your gold. If your farming it you’re choosing to spend your time. And that is the choice of time versus gold.
You don’t get to get your legendary for free. You have to spend time or money or both. The good thing about it is for a large chunk of it you get to decide what you’re going to spend.
lol at this guy.
People should learn some economics.
devs should ask thieves and mesmers for this new condition, those classes will have better access, stack and duration on it
I’d really like to see this posted in necromancer’s forum
introduce a CD of 10 mins for fighting a specific opponent after you beat him.
done.
Necros have poor access to boons and that’s why they have great condition abilities.
While other classes have great access to boons and others are more balanced, the strength of necros rely on only on their conditions.
Really, this qqing must stop.
Neither the Toymaker’s Bag nor Mad Memoires (complete or otherwise) are in the unlock.
Should every skin be available to everyone? I’m not convinced. It’s a reasonable request, to be sure. All the same, I like the idea that a tiny number of skins depend on having been around at the right time & place — like being a “founding member” of a club, it offers a certain amount of warm fuzzies. (I was sad when GW1 gave up that idea, since I enjoyed being able to tell who was a long-time player from the Halloween or Wintersday caps they wore, even though it meant I wasn’t able to acquire them.)
I think this practice is only okay, so long as the number of such skins is very small and opportunities to acquire new “limited edition” skins are available to newbies. To date, the first requirement is met (I think there are less than half a dozen of these), but ANet hasn’t made any similar ones available recently.
I agree that there should be a few skins that are of this nature (ie only available once), but the number should be small. They should be reserved for pretty large events, such as being a beta tester, having an account from day 1, playing through LWS1 when it was available, beta testing HoT. Stuff like that.
I don’t know if I can consider Mad Memories to be one of those skins because it was an event skin that you received through an annual event (even though it was only released once). If each Halloween came with its own unique skin then I would be perfectly fine with Mad Memories not being available again. I think part of the reason that people want it back is because it was implied that it would come back every year due to being tied to an annual event, and yet it hasn’t with no explanation from ANet.
That wasn’t an anual event, was a year specific quest or mission you had to complete at that time to get the skin. It must remain exclusive to people who were there at the time. It was fun, it was hard and special.
Please don’t bring that skin ever again. It’s one of the few time specific skins we have in all GW2.
Bring the updraft back!
gliders, the only reason I bought it.
But what if I want to run reaper? What about f2p players? Are we not as important?
Necromancers as a whole are not importan to Anet. It’s common knowledge and you must be new.
Necro: 25 point power trait.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Siphoned_Power
Thief: 25 point power trait.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Exposed_WeaknessCan Devs even see this imbalance???
one of these: 1. you’re kittened 2. you’re a thief 3. you’re a newbie 4 you’re a condition necro and don’t know a kitten about power trait tree.
if you go 25 points on curses, you are a condition necro. As you dont know, let me teach you: condition damage doesn’t scale with this trait, just direct damage, wich is awfull on scepter o staff.
there is no way you can compare 1% more damage during 5 secs vs 10% more damage almost permanent.
Besides you are comparing two different trait lines.
I can’t believe all the people trying keep this game imbalanced.
Remove necro, put an ele with the same build with mist form.
Now do the exact combo against the other ele in mist form.
What do we get? Zero damage on a build with high dps.
Double standard? I doubt it. It’s just a nonsensical whine
That is incredibly close to the bunker build I use, but it’s missing a couple of aspects that make it truly strong as a bunker.
so annoying. you should hear to yourself and stop talking
I can’t believe necromancers have to teach other classes how to beat necromancers.
It’s much easier to ask for nerfs than L2P lol
thx for your answer!
and I agree, this forum sucks big time.
3. When you enter Death Shroud, have it work more like other Elites and form changes: lock out the top five skill slots, swap the bottom five utility slots, and swap the health and life force meters so that the ball is green and shows life force while the horizontal bar is red and shows health. If conditions/boons affect you in Death Shroud (I’m not sure, personally), move them to the appropriate place: by the ball if they affect you in Death Shroud form, by the horizontal bar if they affect you once you leave. Also, change the trim around the life ball, so even a red-green colorblind person can tell that it’s now life force and not health.
That way, you can watch cooldown timers, conditions/boons, etc, and it would be more consistent with other forms. I imagine that at some point Death Shroud was unaffected by boons/conditions, and since health cannot change in Death Shroud (either increase or decrease), it made sense to hide all those details. But it no longer makes sense.
+1
Fine with a nerf to epi if they finally buff necros where necros need them.
well that’s not gonna happen.
My gut tells me that they are nerfing healing even with investment, maybe condi clear on the druidic clarity trait. Six instead of thirteen. Reducing the damage of smokescale and bristleback considerably and nothing else as far as buffs for core ranger. This would be inline for what the community has been screaming for. That’s what I’m expecting to read on Tuesday. I’d be VERY surprised if they actually did anything to re work core ranger or pets.
The community largely thinks that rangers should be a worthless class and anet largely goes along with the community. Expecting any love at this point is only frustrating.
This. After the patch they will then ask for feedback and ignore whatever we have to say till some mouthbreather month later makes a new topic how OP druid is.
The funniest part is in fractal t4 (which I assume almost everyone will do 3 of them on a daily base), necro dominate way harder than Druid (3~4 necro makes even t4 a joke), and they get untouched lol..
3 nec with 120+ ticks of bleed and permanent aoe weakness and epidemic is fine but not Druid healing without healing gear lolz.. (I’d say zerk Druid is more of an emergency heal than dedicated healer)
necros gear for condi if they wanna do condi damage. Is this logic too complicated for you? No wonder why you don’t understand that if druids want to heal they have to equip healing power as primary attribute.
This combination of things is why necros are currently a little stronger than the meta is ready for and should be toned down ( or anet needs to massively buff everyones condi clearing to make up for it) which do you think will happen first/?
your mesmer needs as much condi cleanse as my necro needs blocks, evades, invulns, stealths or any other defensive mechanic against raw damage.
Conditions it’s the way necromancers do damage to the opponent. You are telling me that necros should not do damage, that conditions should be slow so you can have time to heal, stealth, recover, etc. You are telling me that high raw, quick damage it’s OK but high condition, quick damage it’s not OK. Don’t make sense. And as it doesn’t make sense, it won’t be any nerf soon, no matter how many threads you open in this forums.
What you don’t understand is that every class has a weakness. You can’t pretend to have all in one build. You are really biased towards condition pressure ‘cause your character it’s weak against conditions. I know ‘cause I leveled up a mesmer to 80 in WvW. It’s really hard to arguing with someone that don’t want to listen.
Someone jokingly mentioned earlier that anet would also nerf epidemic too just to screw necros, well you know what? Epidemic deserves to nerfed in raids, that skill is completely ridiculous. It doesn’t just make bosses’ adds trivial, it makes them a negative for the boss, unless the fight is set up in such a way that necros are completely horrible (a la KC). With epidemic nerfed, it would be reasonable to buff other aspects of necromancer to make them more generally useful, which would both improve viability of necromancer and make raids better as a whole.
You say necro’s only reason to be in raids is Epidemic and you wanna nerf it? LOL
If you buff other aspects of necro’s builds then you will generate unbalance in pvp. And believe me, no one wants necro to be OP in pvp.
Epidemic is just right and needed to make the entire profession viable in raids.Epidemic is FAR from right. There’s a reason why there are “5 necro meta” lfgs for high level fractals out there. Epidemic is OP as hell.
2x higher HP with an additional HP bar, with a ranged weapon that can easily make a 30k beeding aoe ongoing dps (without having to constatnly attack), is far away from just “okay”.
ahhahahaha good joke dude.
Necromancer, even with Epidemic, is subpar dps wise compared to various other classes.
Without Epidemic necromancers are again trash tier. Slow stacking bleeds, no mobility, no invulns, no evasion, the “second hp bar” degenerates itself, and you have to build it, lame power builds.
Necromancers are just fine for fractals and almost out of meta in raids.
Change Axe#1 Rending Claws from applying 2 vuln to apply 1 vuln and give 1 might to user.
Oh, and make Axe#3 a blast finisher.
But what if I want to run reaper? What about f2p players? Are we not as important?
Necromancers as a whole are not importan to Anet. It’s common knowledge and you must be new.
People need to stop with these stupid comments or stuff like “no one at A.Net plays Necromancer” in their puddle of self-pity. You can apply and read these comments to EVERY profession, in each sub-forum when stuff got nerfed.
That being said: I agree with the general disappointment nontheless. Whenever I used Soul Reaping, Vital Persistence was a nobrainer to pick.
@spectral mastery: I assume they nerfed the 50% duration increase because they increased the duration of the skills themselves.
Well, with this recent buff to LF decay, Anet proved me right. They had to listen to this community because they know kitten about balance, quod erat demonstrandum.
These comments are not stupid, we are just asking for fair balance to this class, because we love it and a lot of people here will leave the game before re rolling an Ele.
No GS, no Hammer, no mace.
Scythe and Crossbow for my necro please!
Sctythe: melee, cleave, gap closer, chill, combo finishers, high lf gen.
Crossbow: cripple, bleeds, weakness, gap generator, summon jagged horrors.
