Rytlocks face would be a nice addition, Maybe longer hair that goes down their back a bit like a mane? The hairs we have along with the faces and horns feel meh, they were good at launch but not anymore.

I think this was the artist that drew some nice Charr horns: https://claymation-nightmare.deviantart.com/art/GW2-Dream-Charr-Horns-559196862

Would love to see a more tiger-like faces, just horn options in general. Perhaps ability to dye claw color (white, black, dark browns) would be nice.

Can we please for the love of God get rytlocks face as an option in the total make-over kits for charr males? I love how rytlock looks lmfao.

Or some faces with scars, more feline features or just better faces in general. All the new ones are meh and the older ones are kinda meh.. I feel like it would bring new people to the race more readily while also giving us old time players the look we have wanted. More details on the face and just an all around better appearance for the charr would be much appreciated.

I’d like to echo the previous poster’s desire for more charr faces (especially male faces) – preferably something that doesn’t look like they got their heads smashed in a trash compactor.

HOWEVER

My main request would be… “How to Dance Vol. 2” – with longer dances rather than just a looping 5 second anim. It would be a blast, and very popular.

Pretty please? Cue DanceWars2!

Sooooo I would like to bring up the idea of a set of armor skins that provide a chest-less armor skin that basically makes your chest plat invisible.

Something like the images above that provide a helmet that for charr does not hide hair, and a fur loin cloth like pair a pants and leather looking bracers. Shoes could be invisible as well.

For woman make the invisible chest plate like a bra made of leather or something? But for me Id love to be able to make a barbarian like outfit, especially since I modeled my Charr Rev After Kai the collector. It would be something neat for all of us who made norn/charr who don’t want to be in full armor. Id very much appreciate something like this, and I know a few others who would like me buy it as soon as it hit the auction house.

Other Races, apart from humans.....

If we are really strict with lore and story: the human pact commander was as kept away from elona as any of the other races commanders. Why only the human one gets to mutate his/her face and change hairstyle?

I’m sure Asuras would adapt newly created desert ideas into their aesthetics, Charr would reflect on their appearances the new challenges they are confronting, and Norn would without any doubt want to show the exotic development of their legends on their fashion. Sylvari tissues would soon be affected by the new, different weather, and adapt or change.

It is all moot, anyway. I don’t think lore, even accurate one, should put a limit on options FOR THE PLAYERS.

It is not fair for people who don’t play human characters.

A key ring for all the various keys(chak acid, bandit keys, crowbars, ect.) would be great.

Another option for UI size to make things more playable in 4k would be great. Making the UI scale would be even better, but I would settle for a “largest” option that was just another size up from what is currently available.

Something to do with luck after MF 300%. Maybe just something that consumes some everyday like mawdrey and all the others. Maybe make it traceable or useable in the forge. Jus something productive after we hit 300% MF.

I’m just imagining here, but wouldn’t it be so cool if you could glide and your Wyvern glide next to you? Well not just Wyverns but all flying type pets that you can have. They shouldn’t be allowed to attack otherwise that would be OP but just for a bit of fun, they could fly xD Cause I see Wyverns flying in HoT and they don’t fly as your pet, unless the fire wyvern uses it’s special attack. New playable race - good or bad idea?

A new race is an amazing idea if it’s Tengu ;p
They are fully capable of creating a new campaign arc that starts the characters at a different level to change pacing and use that second arc’s avatar as an optional custom teammate for Dragon’s Watch.
For example, Tengu could all start at level 40 and have a challenging and fresh personal story that is more densely spaced between levels so that the leveling process stops being story, grind 10 levels, story, grind 10 levels, ect

New hair colors but not accessories?

This is especially annoying on hairstyles that have 2 colors on the actual hair, and the other color is from the accessory color.

yeh mostly for charr hairstyles this can be so stupid…

they really need to add more color options to hair accessories pls

This this this this. So much this.

There are some fabulous Charr hairstyles I am dying to use, same with a few Asura ones but the accessory dye panel options are horrific and at times, don’t even look like the color as they are in the pallet.

ANet, for the love of all that is holy – please add more hair accessory dyes. You can have my money. All of it. Make it happen.

It makes no sense to me that we have about 90 hair colors now (half are exclusive) but we still have the same default 21 accessory color.

It just limits the actual number of hairstyles viable to me as I actually go very far out of the way to match up my hair color & style with my armor. Many of the new hair colors do not match the old accessory color so please look into expanding this…

Just some suggestions

1. To make superior runes more useful:
—> Superior rune holder: Ascended item that can be added to armor in the rune slot, you can feed it with superior runes and then freely switch between the runes you fed it.
Aquisition: 1 as reward after quest, can be bought afterwards.
Properties: If you fed it all superior runes that exist, it will unlock additional new runes or a small bonus on top of it. Can be removed from the armor to be added to new armor once it is full.

2. It is annoying to have inventory filled with minor or major runes and sigils:
—> Minor sigil collector: Small guy that sits in your inventory and snatches all minor runes that you get. Can be upgraded and then set to collect major runes and trash items as well through quests. Is an inventory cleaner.
Aquisition: Unlocked through a long quest/story or as a gem item.
Properties: Has a small chance to give you a wiggly chest with minor rewards for every item it snatches. It should be possible to put him in shared inventory slot.

3. WvW: Make it possible to see the queue on the map you are on, so you know, if you can switch characters/maps.

4. Targeting: All bosses in WvW (supervisors etc.), marked targets in groups/squads, Champions in pve, Excalted explosive in AB south, commander-tags, apple-tags: if there is a zerg around a target, it is impossible to target it. So make it so that those important opponents have a sign above their head and that we can actually click on the target-sign, the boss-sign above the head of somebody etc. to target the boss/target.

5. Open all bags: if you have a stack of bags and chests etc. make it so that we can right-click -open them all until there is no bag-space left. Others have suggested it before.

Feel free to post other suggestions and your opinion.

I’m not sure if it’s just me, but for those of us who have stacks of tomes of knowledge from pvp and wvw, it’s really annoying to have to double click and then accept that you want to use the tomes. I would love for a right click option to allow you to use “x” amount of tomes and just hit accept once. Almost like an exp scroll you get on your characters birthday that you can just auto level.

Can we downgrade these form “mastery” points to “casual” points? I thought the whole point was to have to work towards them and learn to master aspects of the game. Now they throw so many at you that you just get plopped in front of it is just not fun to get them anymore.

At least the raid mastery point additions took a few hours work to learn the fights.

I agree with this suggestion. Might as well delete mastery points from the game because it is so easy to get enough for everything, especially HoT masteries. And the exp is even easier to get. I think the whole mastery system is a failure at the current implementation.
Not the things you unlock with masteries, but masteries do not feel like you accomplished everything since Anet basically throws everything at you for barely any effort. Being masterly lvl 170 is just as meaningless as being lvl 80 pre HoT.

The same problem exist with legendaries. They are so common and easy to make that the name legendary is missleading.

I’m not sure most of the playerbase plays 6, 8, 10 hours a day. Not playing for extended amounts of time, they may not be so adept, and it may actually be more challenging and time-consuming to ‘accomplish everything’.

Thus, I hope (and am pretty sure) ArenaNet designs content with more than the outliers in mind.

I spend only a small fraction of my time on stuff like legendaries. So even if you only play 10h a week you can make several legendaries per year, which iis why you see so many people with multiple legendaries.
And getting the essential masteries is just a matter of a month (starting with a fresh account), too, even for the really casual players.
It is really a problem with GW2, there are hardly any long term goals/tasks other than time gated stuff like legendary armor which we cannot even finish yet.
Anet released a new map and there were people after 2 days who already unlocked all the achievements and rewards the map has to offer. That does not sound like sustainable MMO content at all.
Maybe that is why a lot of people do not log in for much other than patch days, I can see it in my friendlist where the activity sharply declines again after every patch because they already finished everything. The game needs more grind.

Cool story, I’ve been playing HoT since launch and I’ve yet to max my masteries. So yeah if you want to pour all your game time on one thing, yes you can max things get X item in no time, but if you like to do a little of this and that, it will take you a lot longer, just because you can do things in X amount of time will not mean everyone can.

Adding more points to make things easier for new and people who are bad at some content will not devalue your work. It seems to me they are adding new tracks, and sone will be needed for the LW3, so ANet is making sure not to lock people out of the story, it was a point of contention with HoT’s launch, they probably don’t want to do that again. But then the so called “Elite” or “Hard Core” players don’t want people to be able to just play the game. Ho no, everyone must play the way they do because anything else makes them less elite for some bizarre reason only they truly understand. If you feel the game needs more grind, and ANet are very against grind, maybe this is not the game for you, or you could just accept the game for what it is, not what you want it to be.

Well said. My thoughts exactly.

More options only adds more possibilities, which leads to longer playability. Anyone who would rather see the opposite (elitists), might want to find a more competitive game if they hate seeing people catch up to them.

Yes I’m a vet, yes I’m salty. Problem?

I am glad and appreciative that ANet has added more ways to acquire HoT mastery points.

I got stuck on 120 for ages, primarily due to some of the adventures being locked out all the time behind events etc or the ridiculous silver/gold requirements on some. Plus raids. I don’t have anyone to raid with plus I have a job so not adequate time to stick to a raid schedule either so that’s out of the question.

I’ll try to go back to HoT maps and see if I can finish these Masteries… But you OP, should be thankful that they are giving us more diverse options to acquire them instead of being pigeon-holed into a route which we may or may not be able to achieve.
