Could you remind me when we heard Braham was looking for a scroll specifically? The dialogue suggests we knew that all along, but I don’t remember a scroll being mentioned at all in the previous episodes.
Its going to be a Disaster like the wrecking of the Pact Fleet by Mordremoth. With frozen Rox we have already seen that Things are going to get down with Braham. Its like a small foreshadowing to a Disaster waiting for him.
And he refused to listen to us about it. Either we’ll lose Rox because of it…or Braham will cause the level of deaths Eir caused back in the Edge of Destiny novel. Either way, he will feel the grief and pain of knowing how it feels to be the ‘leader’ for once.

Braham is all about emotion in this episode, and honestly i don’t like it. Now that he had cracked the tooth, the norns will follow him into battle with Jormag. He said that he won’t give Jormag another minute, he won’t let another person’s mother to be killed. And yet, if he lead those norns into battle, that is exactly what he will do, not just another person’s mother, but father, or son.
Will he take responsibility for that?
Will he face those people when he came back and tell them that their mother, father, son had died following him into a losing battle?
(that is if Jormag has a twisted mind to have him chained up and witness all the norns that followed him to be killed or turned, while he can’t do anything and then set him loose as an example to other Norns)
I understand the Norns are a warrior race, but there is bravery, and then there is stupidity. I don’t think Braham quite understand that concept.
I thought the same thing, after doing this chapter. I thought to myself, “A lot of people are going to die.”

I don’t think Braham quite understand that concept.I’m expecting for Braham to try to lead them, only for there to be a massacre with heavy casualties, with Braham and Rox being the only survivors. That guilt will be the only thing that could possibly knock him to his senses.
Because right now Braham has kittened me off and I WANTED SO HARD for the PC to punch him hard onto the ground, chew him out, and mention the names of EVERYBODY from our PS (or just canon) who died that we knew during this war. I think that would hit him harder than anything…because we don’t forget those who fell, we never will.
Wouldn’t it be more interesting if Braham gets fixated on doing this his way and Rox leaving him and joining us cause she smart?

I would love to kill Braham and Taimi off the ’main characters’ team.
They’re so annoying!
And the Dragon’s Watch Guild thing is just stupid, that I have to agree with Braham, it would be better if we rolled as Destiny’s Edge and continued with that.
Eir would have wanted that..
Also, is it only me who’s wondering what happened to the Pale Tree? Is she alright? Last time we heard from someone they just said ’’she’s still recovering’’.
Also, Logan and Zojja? (I do hope they’ll go nuts and something bad will happend since they are prob infected with something from Mordm from the cocoons we rescued them from.)
I can’t wait whenever Kas will appear though,
Also, grawl younglings have beards.
Please give me an option to kick kitten out of Braham.
Ok, I had enough of Braham’s sh… Stuff. He is an idiot and I hope he will die like one. I don’t like story arcs where the dumb sidekick understands his mistakes and dies as a hero, saying sorry and saving the day. Just… no. Give me a character that makes mistakes and bears the consequences and I might thinking of disliking him a little bit less.
Isles of Janthir shout out was interesting. If we do go there, I hope they do it justice, although something so special to the White Mantle/Mursaat feels wrong to be used by a non-believer like Caudecus. I expected a showdown in Caudecus Manor or Divinity’s Reach so I’d be very (happily) surprised to see Janthir instead.
I suspect Braham’s story is heading in the direction of Bard from the Hobbit. He won’t kill Jormag himself but he and his bow will play a role in maneuvering Jormag so that a bigger plan can succeed. Maybe Braham needs to lead some norn to a tragic death before that happens though (mirroring Eir’s thoughts about wasted norn lives gone off to fight Jormag for glory, also mirroring her failure against Kralkatorik, and the weight of Snaff’s death on her conscience). Or maybe Zojja will talk some sense into him, at this point I’m fine if he dies though.
@Valmir Eir would have gone with Taimi’s plan. She knows the typical norn approach will just get more killed.
But plan of the Commander and Taimi is better than Braham’s.
Braham is starting to annoy me- he was always very energetic, but I hoped, that after Eir’s death he will be calmer, but he doesnt want join our guild, so something is wrong with him, because he always had respect to Taimi, but now he has not. Maybe Taimi will calm him, because even Caithe was not cheeky like Braham after this chapter.
I didn’t think Braham could get any more annoying with his cringeworthy mommy issues throughout LS2… He proved me wrong. Just wow.
So far LW S3 has been great, love the new areas, the dragon is cute (subjective comment and im super proud of anet for not making the mini a gemstore item, kudos) and the concept is good about dealing with two dragons.
The main problem is Dragon’s Watch. Why do we recruit such horrible people? Marjory’s whole story arc was to avenge her sister, in fact by the end of HoT she feels happy but is having problems with kasmeer. Come lazarus and she wants to revive her sister angrily ignoring our heeds of warning and goes with the mursaat.
Braham’s supposedly wanted to help us defeat the dragons in order to honor her mother. Instead he wants to kill all the dragons himself, we politely try to reason with and he angrily calls us incompetent and does the exact thing we told him to reconsider and wait.
Hopefully Taimi doesnt think she can do everything on her own and call us off and a bookah.
I really dont want Braham in my guild now.
I don’t mind having Caithe in the guild. I think it’s okay that Marjory went with Lazarus. In the end someone should keep an eye on such a powerful creature and a potential ally. But Braham was a complete disaster in this chapter. At this time I’m starting to hate him. But on the other hand breaking the icy tooth of the dragon keeps me interested in what will the norn do and what will we do with Taimi. Will we be the ones who were right or the legend were true? Or will our plans collide and in the end people will just die because Braham decided to take a different path?
We’re not asking for immediate gratification. We just want assurance that, one day, the stuff’ll be made available to us again.
Not with THAT attitude!
Edit: Besides, that’s statistically inaccurate, considering the number of potential players the game could eventually have in the future.
Every player wants new content. Only some players want old content, since it’s only ‘new’ to some of them.
There’s no question that most everyone would enjoy the opportunity to replay Scarlet’s War. Just the same, those same people wouldn’t want to give up future stories to do so.
If the second expansion sells better than the first and ANet figures out how to manage a third with less effort, then we might see some people made available to look more closely at what it would actually take to bring back Scarlet in a series of instanced stories. Until then, development is going to go towards ensuring that the game and gem shop are meeting/exceeding stockholder expectations.
Considering most new players are going to need to first level up their characters to 80+ to reach said-new content, and the fact that—to them—old content is technically new, I have to disagree.

The number of people who played Scarlet’s War, and the number that didn’t increases daily as new players join the community. The issue isn’t going away.
This. They need to do it if they want the game to seem at all polished and welcoming to new players, and it becomes more and more important as time goes on, rather than less so. End of story. It blows my mind that O’Brien doesn’t consider it more of a priority than he does.
They could do it as part of a renovation to the overall narrative. The PS could use a number of refinements as well.
What they could do is take all the instances, for example where you first meet Braham and Rox and their respective small instanced quests (Hatchery and Cragstead) and make them work like an extra personal story. Talking about the instances added with Flame and Frost: The Razing. That would be a good way to introduce Rox and Braham to new players and shouldn’t be that hard to implement, they are already instances after all.
Then they can move on to next instances and do the same thing. The big events/fights do not have to be re-implemented, for example the Molten facility or the Aetherblade Retreat are already Fractals and there is no need to bring them back. The story could go like: “after this you can experience what happened in the Molten Fractal” or something like that

The main problem is that Scarlett’s war does a poor job as a recap and dlc. We would still be missing an important mission that was scarlet’s very first appearance (opening and closing ceremony). We are also missing the consortium (this is were canach was introduced) story. Ellen kiel, Magnus, Evon, and job-o-tron played a role throughout the season and a crucial role in the last episode, they are never mentioned
Sorry for being a negative Nancy, that recap grinds my gears, it’s incomplete and anet said they won’t fix it

I’m feeling really alienated from the current Setting because I couldn’t play Scarlet’s War. A recap of events in the form of a 1-minute clip show isn’t good enough to help me feel a rapport with these characters (Rox, Taimi, etc.), especially since the events of Scarlet’s War really need to be experienced to feel an organic connection with them.
I just feel more like an imposter than a “boss” because of this. Can we get the GW2-team to make it a DLC? I don’t care if you have to handwave an excuse, like, maybe an Asura made a time-machine or postcognition-doohickey—just please, don’t do this to me. Don’t make me play a game where I have to watch someone else’s let’s play on Youtube just to know what was going on, and what these characters went through. It’s not fair.
Anet, I have a great idea that will benefit both of the consumer and you, which is instead of making an outfit, make the outfit as a skin pieces.
that will increase the chance of the consumer to buy it. For example, if someone wants the head piece of the outfit to put it in his/her current style, but he/she can only wear the full outfit instead of using a certain piece of the outfit. so if it was a skin he/she will buy them to get that piece.
the problem with the outfit is you cant add unique touch of your own. That’s why some people will not buy the outfit because everyone will be wearing the same thing.
it will not change a thing, if someone wants the full outfit he/she can wear them, and if someone wants a piece of that outfit he/she can also get it.
I hope you consider this idea
thank you, and keep the good work.
You may wish to search the various outfits vs. armors threads to see that a) you are not alone in wishing to use just part of an outfit and b) making armor (ie discrete pieces rather than a complete unit) instead of outfits is for some reason vastly difficult and time consuming.
I think the best we can hope for is to be able to hide shoulders and gloves as well as helms on outfits, and if we’re super lucky, eventually be able to mix in armor helmets with outfit bodies.
Yep, if you keep saying the same thing it offends the gods of creative conversation and you will be cut off. Try being less polite and possibly tossing a few witty insults, those people NEVER get their chat privs taken away /s

Legendary Legend. Season 5 title confirmed
I really like what is going on with the Legendary weapons. I thought the collections were a nice way to give some more info on the Legendaries, but even those, I thought, didn’t really give me much of a sense for them.
As a player, what I really want, and I think what many of us want, are the legends. These are legendary weapons. What is their legend then?
Where did they come from? Who was the first to make such a weapon? What part did it have in their adventure?
I think the new shortbow (the tigers) had a bit of that, though I haven’t actually done those collections, but I have heard great things about it. The others, however, I don’t think managed to get any of that. I crafted Astralaria, and I liked the collections, I liked the idea of “this why this weapon does this” for the special effects and such, but why is it called Astralaria?
I would suggest that with each stage of the crafting process, when we have to purchase a book, have those be real books. Let us double click on them and read a story about how we made it, about the original Legendary weapon and who had it in the time of legends, about what makes it so legendary. In short, give us some in game lore on these items.
As a side note, of course, this means we will have even more books….for which we really should have a “Library” tab in our bank to place these books in so we can always go back and read the lore we uncovered at anytime without having to clutter up our banks.
Thanks for the time to consider this idea,
Gany
I’m all for this. My question is what you suggest happens to the Nightfury shoulders already made, do they become invisible shoulders with the chosen stats? And will the infusion take all the same mats to make as did the ascended shoulders? People (myself included) have sunk fortunes into making them. Normally I somewhat agree with the “you paid for early adoption” concept but in this case, well, that’s a lot of paying.
