NPC-only armors and faces compilation

Unfortunately I think most of these where made for the old “Town Clothing” system. And they probably planned to open up more of them over time, but never got around to it, or realized how much work it was to make those town clothes (and the clunky mechanics that they had, pity, it could have been great, still miss parts of it).

Couple of them like the Chef town clothes got changed into Outfits, rest wen the way of the Dodo, I mean Endless Potions.

So in short, I think all of those are still using the old “Town Clothing” system, as they probably never changed that for NPC’s (less work for them). Which means we won’t get them unless they redesign them to either become Outfits or rework into armor skins (honestly doubt they will ever do that).

So at this stage, the best we can hope for is that they make them into outfits, AND makes head, shoulders, gloves removable as on normal armor (some outfits do this). So we can at least color them.

Man I miss GW1’s option to enable/disable outfits in city/combat area, wish they did that with the old Town Clothing system instead of replacing it. Really miss being able to dress casually in towns.

A backpack, you even got the skins ready – while playing the story i carried the dragon egg on my back and got a nice backpack skinn while doing that and beeing in the Auric Basin.

This was a really nice backpack – if it would have shown outside of the map, i wouldn’t finish the story with my main. Therefore why not making it a backpack skin?

Funny thing is, Anet originally claimed that the armor system they created allowed them to do exactly that, as (unlike in gw1) NPCs were to use the same system as the players, so their gear was supposed to be interchangeable.

Please can we have a Mini Mistfire Wolf?

I seem to have a mental block where I keep thinking it exists, go to equip it and then get disappointed when I remember it’s not real.

I’d also like to see more Shared Inventory Slots released. I have 11 (10 purchased, 1 free) and I’ve been holding off on getting more until I can get a full set of 5.

Weapon motion and effects are valuable tells for allies and opponents.

Dropped by Treasure Rutabagas. Chance 1 : 50,000

If it was a toggle instead of skins, you could simply toggle it back on if doing difficult content where tells were needed. And no stupid drop RNG.

I have been thinking that it would be kind of nice to have Invisible Weapon Skins. I use a lot of magic based characters in this game and think that hand magic would look great.

Any thoughts?

IMO, Anet should have a toggle off appearance like they do with hats, shoulders, and should do with the rest of the armor slots.

I would actually prefer to this this as it’s own “weapon skill”. Since it doesn’t require weapon skins and different animations could be used for brawling, martial arts, hand magic etc, I think there is potential for new elites here, esp Warrior, Thief and Mesmer.

Or even Necro – Kali Mar! Kali Mar!!

Fine with me, optional items that you can use or not, are ok in my opinion.

Or make Warrior look like they’re punching the enemy with their armor gauntleted fists!

Can't just buy Raiment of the Lich outfit?

But it’s there. And nearly every outfit I’ve seen has been part of those bundles and individually. I remember waiting forever for the Bandit Sniper outfit to come back, and when it did over the summer I was glad I could just get it on its own for 700 gems instead of getting the full thing.

I’ve posted on this before, but I’d like once again to express my appreciation. Thank you Anet for allowing festivals to go on for a few weeks. It gives casual players a realistic amount of time to take part and not feel like they are missing out. I’ve played games where the festivals were so short, or the achievements so challenging it required a huge time sink if you wanted to attempt it. Events like that exclude many players from completion, or force time management on something which is supposed to be done for entertainment.

Thank you for making a game for gamers!

Display the minimum scale on events. Instead of [Group Event] for example, do something like [3+ Group]. When players initially do events in active maps with larger groups, they believe that’s the way. It’s a problem I’ve seen from the very start, where small groups either won’t try or are very hesitant.

Show all (or certain) events on the map, which was an API feature prior to megaservers. It’d be nice to known when a daily event is up or to keep track of the split meta chains in HoT.

Adding on to the combination of the above, display the number of nearby players on the event’s map icon. It would help to let people know where others are, especially with split defense events like night VB and should help with the “no commanders? dead map” attitude.

Improve event scaling to not factor players who aren’t participating. At the very least, stop factoring players who haven’t picked up or turned in anything for collection events, or just tone it down so I’m not having to turn in 10x the amount compared to soloing it.

All of these, please. While I’d prefer scaling to go from minimum-1 to however many players are participating, knowing what’s intended for a “group” event would also be encouraging.

And something ought to be done about the run-ins for event zones. I was doing a 3-man with a hero point, doing fairly well, when the HP-train-zerg showed up. Suddenly, it added four or five level 84 elites, and the lot of us died before the ever-so-gracious commander showed up with forty+ people to finish it.

Many alts; handle it!

Salvage all – split the “and lower” options. I carry around basic items, causing the current implementation to be useless. Changing it to a checkbox format would be best, or just a simple masterwork and fine option.

BL Chest Rant

I just now realised that one of the slots is now constantly blocked by a totally useless seasonal item. What kitten is that? Why on earth should I ever be motivated to buy BL-keys (which I never was anyway), if the number of slots who have the chance to contain something remotely useful or even a skin is effectively reduced by one?

And by the way: I already buy skins in the store regularely. I feel a little bit annoyed that maybe in the future skins will be hidden behind the BL-chest. Anet, I will most definitely will not buy your BL-keys to gamble to get a skin. If you want my money sell the things in the regular store. You will not get it otherwise.

Introducing items that can only be gotten by gambling is deplorable, predatory. I’d hoped Anet was above that. What an awful direction to take.

Hopefully they’ll bring back the Grasping Phantom glider as a direct purchase later. I do know that for myself if they put start putting gliders behind an RNG wall then they’re not going to see any money from me for them.

RNG is RNG. I can understand any disappointment in outcomes like what you have posted. My biggest disappointment with Black Lion Chests is that I can no longer just toss them from my inventory with a simple confirm prompt, and instead have to type out the name.

These chests are not that important, Anet. Revert this change. =/

Though, for the bundle/Lich Outfit, did someone report the dynamic cost issue to the bug forum?
