-Healing Signet : As like proposed above, better scaling of the passive with healing power would be more nice while reducing slightly the basic health regen par second; more interesting for bunkers and less for damage dealers. But to do this changement, you have to first buff/up the other healing skills of the warrior.

The only reason HS was implemented the way it is now was because they wanted to give “damage dealer” ( aka non-bunker) warriors passive sustain and means to survive without them having to spec as bunker.

If we take that away the skill becomes obsolete in its intended purpose.

If here they fall they shall live on when ever you cry “For Ascalon!”

Hey Anet, I like the changes, although some of them don’t make sense for me. For example Rune of Hoelbrak vs Rune of Strength.
They are pretty much the same, yet Rune of Strength get a 45% might duration and Hoelbrak only 30%… I think Rune of Hoelbrak needs to be on par with Rune of Strength otherwise it’s just a cheap version of Rune of Strength…

+10% Might Duration
+50 Power
25% chance when struck to gain might for 10 seconds. (Cooldown: 5 seconds)
+100 Power
+20% Might Duration; -20% Condition Duration applied to you.

the fact that u lvl up with crafting, beautiful. WvW its amazing. the mists pvp….needs more variety, seriously, but i love it too. the storyline, epic. everything is just really really good. i dont even understand how people can complain, dont get me wrong i read the threads and comments, but their all senseless to me =/. the game is nr1 without a doubt, this isnt even a biased comments cause i PLAYED a LOT of mmorpgs, and GW2’s nr1 status is no lie.

3 months and still no response, on purposefully removing the only way to transfer Runes to new gear, and then adding Upgrade Extractors at 5x the cost — in $$ (real money) — of Transmutation Crystals.

Original real cost to move Runes/Sigils in WvW/Karma/Order armor using gem store items (only current possible way):

  1. Prepatch (Original method): 50 Gems, Transmution Crystal ($0.62 cents)
  2. Postpatch (New only method -> 4/15): 250 Gems, Extractor ($3.12 dollars)

Hopefully this list at the bottom helps players understand the risk and sways them from buying Karma/WvW/Order armors to socket Runes/Sigils in until something is done about this issue.

Can something be done about this please? You removed the ability for us to use Transmuation Stones to move Sigils/Runes to new pieces of gear.

Example #1:

  1. Player decides to buy a set of Karma Armor/WvW Armor.
  2. Player then decides to socket said Karma Armor/WvW Armor with 6 Runes of Strength (75.6g -> 12.6g each)
  3. Player decides to make Ascended Armor and socket the Runes of Strength into it.
  4. Player tries to Salvage Karma/WvW armor.
  5. Player CANNOT Salvage Karma/WvW armor and is now out 75.6g.
  • See what happened when Transmutation Stones were removed entirely?
  • Only solution now: 250 gems Upgrade Extractor. (6x 250 gems -> 1500 gems)
  • Former solution: 50 gems Transmutation Crystal. (6x 50 gems -> 300 gems)
  • Player throws away 10g sigil.

Example #2:

  1. Player uses WvW Weapons:
  2. Player adds 10g+ Sigil to WvW Weapon.
  3. Player then crafts Ascended Weapon (or new WvW Weapon/Stat Combo)
  4. Player decides he wants to move his expensive Sigil.
  5. Player cannot salvage WvW Weapon due to huge oversight of removing Transmutation Stones. And is out 10g. (When it was entirely possible to do this before the patch.)
  • Guess what the only current option is? You guessed it again.
  • Only solution now: 250 gems Upgrade Extractor.
  • Former solution: 50 gems Transmutation Crystal.
  • Player throws away 10g sigil.

The option to do so existed before the patch. We are not asking for something new. But for something to not be taken away from us.

It does exists now (upgrade Extractor) but at 5x the original cost. (50 gems Transmute Stone -> 250 gems Extractor.)

I want to believe this wasn’t intentional. And that something will be changed soon. (Either a price lower, a new Gem store item, or Salvagable Karma/WvW/Order gear.)

Level 80 – WvW/Karma/Order armor salvaging isn’t profitable.

Maximum value of ecto profit if salvaged: (Full set of WvW/Karma/Order armor — using current value, will fluctuate)
thus the reason why it is pointless that they cannot be salvaged

  • Assuming Ecto salvage rate of: 1.2 ectos per level 80 Exotic
  • Current TP value of 38s
  • Salvaging set of 80 WvW/Karma/Order: 2g 73s 60c (before 15% TP tax)

Cost of level 80 Armors to purchase:

  1. Karma Gear: (80, Exotic) 242,000 Karma per set (42,000 per piece)
  2. WvW (badges) Gear: (80, Exotic) 5g 44s – 950 Badges of Honor
  3. Vigil armor: 8g 88s per set
  4. Whispers armor: 8g 88s per set
  5. Priory armor: 8g 88s per set

Extreme level 80 Karma Armor salvage example:

  • Even with Karma gear salvaged for Ectos. My massive 4.7million Karma
  • 4.7million Karma -> Level 80 Temple Gear -> 30g-49g (around this from salvaging assuming 1.2 or less Ectos per piece of gear)
  • Same 4.7million Karma -> Orrian Jewelry Boxes – 75g-100g+ (My 4.7million Karma would net me at least 75-100g.)

Why is it that people feel warriors are so kitten OP. Warrior greatsword was fine before the condition meta..

First, quickness got nerfed. This nerfed all heavy crit/burst builds not just warrior.

Then Warrior Greatsword was nerfed on top of that due to the changes in the first tree, and the move from Empowered trait.

I don’t want any trolls in this thread but I would welcome any honest discussion regarding Warriors. This is in terms of PVP (WvW or Arena). I actually think that despite popular opionion, the warrior skills are actually pretty good. The damage on the other hand is another story.

Warrior 1 needs buff.
Warrior F1 Burst needs to be a freakin burst ability.. how in the hell does the burst ability hit for about the same as Warrior 1 skill.. which is terrible.

I want your opinions and your aguements, if warrior greatsword should be buffed or why not.

There is a simple counter to Stuns: Stability/Stun Breakers

There is a simple counter to Immobilizations/chills/cripples: condi removal skills OR condi duration reduction food/armor stats.

If you are suffering from these effects simply adjust your gear/playing style/skills to compensate for these adversities.

ANET do not change a thing. This is the one part of WVW combat that you guys nailed since release!!!! Focus on giving WvWers more rewards and achievements for going to battle each and every day!

@OP maybe because warriors don’t need any new GM traits to actually perform… They are the apex predator in PvP right now. They have viable builds of every kind.
1. Burst
2. Sustain
3. Tank/Bunker
4. Condi/tank

Almost no other classes have this build diversity which is why the warrior new GM traits are lackluster. They don’t need to be more OP than they already are.

You just pulled the “Warriors are OP, so that means they don’t deserve any bug fixes, general fixes, tweaks to quality of play or any good GM traits for that matter” card.

That is completely stupid. It’s not like GM traits would make a class stupidly OP because guess what? It REQUIRES sacrifice. So since warriors are “OP” right now that justifies giving us total garbage GM Traits? Especially when ANet hypes up this “OMG NEW 40 GM TRAITS!” to keep interest in this game?

Guess what? They are nerfing Hambow builds again. Pindown has an elaborate animation and a 3x longer cast time now. Healing Signet is being nerfed by 8%. Building Momentum just received the wrath of ANet’s infamous nerfbat.

And lol @ a “sustain” build. What is that even supposed to mean? You mean shout healing right???? Lol, ok there buddy.

Hambow builds are the only A-Tier build in sPvP. Any other build is B-Tier at best. And like I said, they are nerfing that again.

I’m getting really sick of this “Warrior is good so they don’t deserve anything else good” mentality. If you care about this game then you should want as many viable options for each class as possible.

Yes, other classes are in rough shape, but that doesn’t mean you don’t stop improving the other classes. Warrior still has plenty of worthless traits and skills. The most annoying thing right now is skills like Bull’s Charge and Rush overshooting your target or simply refusing to connect. Both skills have strong effects but when they whiff it really hurts.

The thing that I didn’t like about this ending was that there was no real explanation. A lot of folks guessed she was after Mordremoth, but we still don’t know why she went to such extremes to wake him up, and how he got into her head in the first place, and what that could mean for the sylvari.

The NPCs say they’re not interested in the explanation, but that’s the exact opposite of what my character would have done in that situation. She would have let her talk, and then killed her. Every piece of information is crucial. Why put all those pieces together in the bar and then not get the answer from the sylvari’s own mouth!?

Otherwise, I’m happy to see a return to dragons, but without an explanation, a cool cinematic is just a cinematic.

there was huge thread by lordrosiky on this. no dev response. i hope there will be drop-in ladt minute war nerf in the patch. signet nerf is nthing, pin down, okay, offers some intelligent counter for kiting. but overall, war will be top tier of health, toughness, healing, damage and control (top, or one of the top in each category), that is – crazy op.

Play a warrior in arenas and you’ll understand why they need to be tough and have a sturdy body.

Take away their damage? They become guardian copies. Take away their tankiness? They become thieves.

There is no need for innovation to be skilled. All you need to do is evolve.

A person beats you, you steal their build and play it better. Eventually all the crap dies away and you are left with evolutionary perfection. You never had to create a build, yet you suddenly are the strongest at your class, merely by theft.

The only personal twist you need is your timings, skill choice, and map awareness.

haven’t made a video in awhile so i decided to make one, quality isn’t the best I’m aware of that but it can be difficult to record, have low FPS while playing at the same time, I will need a better GPU. Anyways enjoy. I’m not opposed to showing losses or what I did wrong because nobody wins or is completely flawless 100% of the time and no build is unstoppable or uncounterable despite what you see on most videos, so I put a few in there.

lets have a new tick box in the f11 options menu.
lets call it “override out of range”

once toggled, area of effect skills with a green targeting circle will activate (can be clicked) even if “out of range” except that the skills will only be activated in the max possible range.

tl; dr
yes, i want to use f1 burst skill earthshaker effectively as a movement leap skill.

so what does everyone else think?

with these new feature in, short bow thieves also can travel very quickly with Infiltrator’s Arrow short bow 5.

at the moment, we need to manually find the sweet spot and then left click, if we try to left click when out of range, nothing happens. so sad.

The proposed changes to critical damage gear aren’t specifically PvE-focused, but focused rather on the stat weighting of critical damage itself. We’re not aiming to make crit damage unviable, just to bring it closer to other gear sets.

How about dire gear. In PVT you can’t deal good damage but stay tanky. You need precision and critical damage for good amount of damage. However people can reach massive condition damage and still stay tanky with dire. I know because I have that gear. In berserker vs dire comparison dire has the advantage in my opininon (WvW).

If idea is just bring it closer to other gears, start with dire. I’m ready to give up my dire gear. But condition damage is not important for PVE. People farm low AI mobs/bosses with berserker gear in dungeons. But increase their AI is a harder solution. So solution is nerf the berserker. Sorry but this is the reality in my opinion, this is not about WvW. In WvW berserker vs dire duel, berserker user need to be more skilled than dire user for win the fight. In generally berserker gear requires more skill for survive in WvW. Also this nerf will affect mainly kinght/cavalier/berserker mixed DPS builds. These builds will become more useless. Sorry for bad English.

this will be working as intended, because, fast hands trait is working as intended.

activating 2 different on swap sigils on each swap is an intended game play mechanic for warriors with fast hands trait.

nothing overpowered.

move along, nothing more to see here.

Then don’t you think it’s unfair for only warriors to be able to do this?

mesmers have illusions
thieves can stealth
necromancers have death shroud

etc.

warriors have fast hands.

Make PvE dungeons more challenging (faster attacking enemies), remove defiant on bossmonsters and remove condition cap. And no separation is needed.

And nice sideeffect, without condition cap, condition damage can be balanced on PvP, WvW and PvE without separation.

Arenanet doenst roam in wvw so they will NEVER understand that pve and wvw are 2 different things and now they are thinking: critical damage is not important in zergs but what about roamers? thats the most fun pvp mode atm and since its a PVP mode it shouldnt be balanced around a dungeon that is too easy to complete in full berserker gear.

Funny to see people saying stuff like “this change was needed”, then reading Necro in their sig…But seriously, all this will do is put a HUGE kitten spotlight on Condi builds so they will be next to get that nerf stick.

I would rather get one-shotted by a glass zerker thief that atleast has to give something up than a bunker condi war/necro/engi/etc. These bunker-condis really give up nothing short of power, which isn’t really needed anyway as they can spam conditions faster than they can typically be cleansed by most classes. ( I have tried a few of the builds myself and they are ridiculously easy to play and have few weaknesses)

Let me ask you this: How many people out there are building specifically for power negation? Now how many people are building specifically to overcome the condi spam garbage? (Hint: look at the price of Melandru Runes and Lemongrass Poultry Soup)
