It’s the result after Rytlock bites Logan during a full moon…
Why does this item suddenly mean there won’t be templates? If anything templates would help it sell more… Not to mention there’s this mythical land called sPvP where respecs and gear are free and templates would be much more useful in than PvE because you actually change your build more…
As their mother, I have to grant them their wish. – Forever Fyonna
This is actually useful when you have to switch gears and traits while in the middle of Fractal and if you’re the instance owner you can’t leave because the dungeon will reset. Or you can never leave an area (like in Teq or the next revamped bosses) because if you did, you will end up in an overflow.
Last time I checked, we weren’t required to purchase this from the Gem Store. So why so much hate towards Anet?
PS – It’s only 56 Gems when you buy in bulk. That’s pretty cheap!
That works out to 2.78 gold each right now, still too much.
Too much as opposed to what? It’s a convenience item. If you like it, buy it. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. But if you like it and can’t afford it, wait for a sale. That’s what I do for Character Slots, Bag expansions, or even BL Keys.

It’s pretty obvious that most of the convenience items are a terrible deal if you’re going to pay with gold for them. At 88¢, it’s a little pricy, but justifiably an “on a whim” decision. I’ve seen friends spend more on crane games at the supermarket, or soda, or gum. Would I consider it a great value for the money? No, but it’s hardly my business to tell other people how to spend their change.
Basically, it saves you 10 silver, two load screens, and a small-to-large amount of running, depending on your proximity to a waypoint. Even if it’s not worth it to most of us, I expect it is to someone, like most of the gem store items, and I’m okay with that dynamic.
I thought people went into dungeons because they were challenging and fun.
people do this in mmo’s?
Listen, while I agree that’s part if it most people and myself included go in it for the loots. When there isn’t any loots other than dungeon tokens, why bother doing it if its tedious and long and has the same reward as easier and shorter paths (aka tokens).
This is a really good game but when it comes to rewarding players with loot ANET doesn’t have a clue what to do.
If you’re gonna put out content that is challenging, then you better reward people for doing it (other than just a silly back item), or most people are only going to do it once or twice and then never do it again.
Why do you think diablo 3 failed as hard as it did? (there are many reasons) but the biggest one is because it was challenging and yet it didn’t reward its players. Nobody want’s to do challenging content for little or no epic loots. That’s what these games are all about, so when you add hard content to the game but drop the ball on the loots, nobody is gonna freaking do the content because its not worth it. These are the fundamental facts of any RPG/MMO.

My concern though is that while I am almost 100% sure that I was reported by another player, were the chat logs checked?
Yes, you can have confidence that the chat logs were reviewed. Not only were they reviewed, they are saved onto account notes so that I easily could find them. Which I did.
You insulted someone. You directed the comment towards a person by name. And you used several offensive words in your comments.
No amount of reports for something that didn’t happen will result in action on an account. No amount of private contrivance to “get a player banned” will result in a termination. Reports are the core of our ability to suspend or terminate accounts, with cause, but cause must be and always will be found. Reports do not equal action. Bad behavior equals action.
And if we make an error, we will reverse it, but in this case, as you agree, no error was made and the suspension was entirely appropriate.
If you reported the players who were involved in this incident, I am confident they, too, would have been actioned. The name is being reviewed even as I write.

Yes you are both right I am aware that I should not have responded as I did, I’m just not a fan of being set upon for no valid reason, causes my defense mechanism to get twitchy lol.
I will make sure I use nothing other than the Queen’s English in the future and upon my return will report the player concerned.
Maybe I should have been a bit more savvy and realised a player named Claude balles (Clawed balls) had the potential to be like that lol ;-)
Thank you Metheglin for posting also, even though I was in the wrong at least I know other people saw them

Yes Astral you are correct also regarding my post, yes the champ farm is irrelevant, I wrote it because of the context in which the situation arose. Inappropriate language is the issue, I used it and got suspended, fully accepted and not after it being rescinded.
Just be nice to know that they were suspended also, else what is the point if the system is not fair.

Fair comments JustTrogdor, appreciate the reply. I’d like to think Anet could tell me about the other player, else how do I know the system is fair and equal? If I was indeed reported, does the player reporting find out what happens to the reported player? I think I read somewhere that they do.
I wouldn’t want to start thinking they hadn’t punished the other player, id rather not have to report the other player for their inappropriate language. That would be a messy way for equal justice lol.
But let’s see what Anet come back with, obviously I will watch my language in the future for sure and just ignore any other comments made towards me, be the bigger man as such.
Yes, we’ve seen some of the more competitive teams disband or leave. There’s a pretty big drop-off in skill from the top tier, which means that anyone in the top tier doesn’t need to put as much effort in to practice.
We can’t stop people from leaving. What we can do is keep developing the game until it’s in a good place, and those players don’t want to leave, or want to come back. In the meantime, I will continue to focus on helping support members of the community that do put in the extra effort to run tournaments or help new players. That’s the beauty of having a sub-free game.
I know that’s probably not the answer you guys were looking for, but we are still working on the game. Yes, it’s likely not as fast as you want it to be, but there isn’t much we can do on that front except to keep pushing forward.
Thanks for the support!
Thanks for the feedback!
I can address a few of these bugs:
- Floor resetting: This is a side-effect of the boss not losing its armor upon wiping. As an additional note, you can explode a holo next to him at any time to reset the floors. Hope that helps
- Weird teleportation: This one’s on me. Basically what’s happening here is that the teleportation is only supposed to kick in if you accidentally get yourself inside the Holopirate Generator’s collision (via a teleport skill etc). The teleport is a failsafe to prevent you from getting stuck. Unfortunately, the collision on these generators gets smaller once you destroy them, so the area you’re teleported from is now accessible to just running into it. I have a fix for this queued up for the next non-hotfix build. My apologies to those running into this!
- Clockheart resetting: Right now there’s a few issues with the Clockheart resetting. They can be worked around, but a fix is incoming. After the fix goes in, the Clockheart will remove shielding & super charge & teleport back to the center platform as soon as a wipe occurs, ensuring future runs post-wipe will go exactly as planned.
- Holograms not spawning: This seems to be a rare issue that we’ve noticed but haven’t been able to pin down the exact cause. We’re looking into it and will hopefully ironclad that issue from occurring.
Looks like the indexing borked up again. Right after the deploy I was testing with common terms and was getting 50+ pages of results. I’ll be sure to pass on how quickly this degraded, hopefully the information will help with fixing the issue.
Friend has error downloading GW2 (Not solved)

Hi Zydico – I’m curious if your friend has Gw2.exe in their temp folder by accident. The easiest way to resolve this issue is to pull it out of the temp drive and onto the C drive by following the below steps:
1. Hold down the Windows button on the keyboard and hit the R key.
2. Paste in the following line and then click OK.
C:\users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp
3. Find Gw2.exe and right-click on the file and select Cut
4. Go to your C drive and into the Games folder. If there is no Games folder, create one.
5. In the Games folder, create the folder Guild Wars 2 and go into it.
6. In the Guild Wars 2 folder, right-click and select Paste.
7. Run Gw2.exe from the Guild Wars 2 folder.
The game should launch and immediately start patching. Two additional files should be created: Gw2.dat and Gw2.tmp
Hope this helps out your friend!

I play ranger, and only ranger. I had no problems with my pet for this entire dungeon outside of the Clockheart. And I dedicated myself to pulling the holograms for that, so I wasn’t going to use my pet for it anyway (maybe a moa or a bear would have been useful in that situation for the buffs?).
Really, just learn to use F3 and F4 properly.
Funny all I hear outside are rangers complaining about their pets dying. Electric floors kill them in the areas that had them. The bosses kill them very fast for any boss that focuses on the pet for more then a few moments. f3 and 4 aren’t going to do crap in those situations or when your pet paths through a thrown gear and dies.
Pet. A.I. Is. Stupid. Add in a small bit of lag and good luck getting those retreat/swap commands off in time.
Ah, true, the electric floors wreak havoc on them, but the two places where those exist don’t even require any DPS. The holograms in the Clockheart’s room die in 2-3 hits from anything and the security room doesn’t even have foes in it.
And you only hear complaining because the people who are actually happy with the scenario don’t say anything. That’s why these forums hardly have any positivity in them, you know.

I was going to come in here and tell you how wrong you were, and then I realized that she is the best we have. The thing is, to me that is sad. I am not a fan of scarlet at all, I think she is just Harley Quinn in Sylvari mode. My opinion of course, but ultimately I have to agree with you.
She’s voiced by the same voice actor as Harley Quinn.
Scarlet is the BEST villain in GW2.
and the lady made me laugh… that is impossible.
WvW is back online and the matchups started again. Thanks for your patience.
We’ll be deploying a new build that fixes a few bugs and issues, including those that required us to suspend the WvW matches. The build will be live at around 7 PM Pacific Time (4 AM CEST). WvW matches will not be reactivated when the build is live, as we’ll be performing further work to ensure that the WvW fix is holding. We’re expecting this work to last about one hour but it may take longer. Once this work is completed, the WvW matchups that started last Friday will continue with the correct score. All objectives will be reset to their starting state and all siege weapons that were deployed will be gone.
Thank you for your continued patience.

Leak patch notes already.
Karl and I will be doing a stream before the patch to ‘leak’ the majority of the changes. =)
I work on systems, combat, skills, and balance.
The only problem I have with Scarlet is her motive. She’s been behind so many things, and the only motive we have is “she’s crazy”. That just doesn’t cut it.
We haven’t revealed her motive yet. I can understand the confusion and/or frustration surrounding that so we’re looking at ways to accelerate the plot and implement some features that will make it easier to track Living World content. The first phase of that system will be implemented before the end of the year.
Last week I was roaming with one of my guildmates and we were taking a sentry when a perma stealth thief rocks up. S/he wasn’t doing that much damage to us but was clearly taking delight in remaining out of stealth juuuust long enough to stop the sentry cap again and again and again. I noticed that I had a stealth trap and 10 supply on me so I thought, “why not?” While my guildie was keeping the thief busy I placed the trap in the middle of the cap circle and then stood on it and waited for the thief to go after me. S/he did and then couldn’t stealth and was very quickly killed.
Being able to counter troll a troll? Effing priceless.
That’s ridiculous.
