BP definitely needs some more pointers from ebay, I mean, beating them consistently the past 3 times we have gone up against them proves how bad we are, especially considering we typically beat them by 30% of their score. Where were you guys friday, saturday and sunday night when we basically did what we wanted to in EB? Matter of fact didnt you wait till a tuesday or thursday of a content release week to do the same thing in a prior match up?

Since my last post got deleted, let me rephrase it this way. We don’t care if you take our keep, or our borderlands. We have more fun than you, day in, and day out. You guys are not even in the NA top 10, yet you play for points. All this means is that if you win your matchups, 10 other servers are doing it better than you anyways. While you make your members sit in towers to be static scouts, all of our guys are out having fun because that’s all that matters to us. I pass down this advice from a server who has already been at tier 1, and seen what it does to a community when you inevitably fall from grace. We play for fun, and you play for points. Come on to the forums all you want, we’ll be busy turning you and your guild into loot bags and chasing you into your towers. Stop bragging about beating up an outmanned server and exceptional PvDoor skills. We already come to expect this from BP, and especially the Borlis Savers guild.

I wake up to a kitten show on the forums… thank you for the props on the forums, but if compliments toward us come with huge insults to the rest of our community, it’s almost like you guys made a delicious sandwich, then chop off a chunk of your hair, and then stuck it into said sandwich and fed it to us.

Our other guilds are good at what they do.

Ugh, I hate the PPT game soo much, and until they start handing out cash and prizes to the winners each week, I will continue to ignore PPT and play for the fights. Cheers!

We’re the kings of movement, not evades… We have plenty of movement stuff but even assuming a the full amount of dodges, it’s simply not possible to dodge all the fires in the rings… Each dodge is 3/4 of a second… Even assuming all 3 supportskills was dodges, which we dont actually have… Combined with 2 dodges from weapon, and then another 2 from sigil on weapon swap… And then another dodge from the time it takes to regenerate the energy for that… That’s still 8 dodges… While indeed that’s quite nice, it’s simply not enough unless you have those 8 dodges for the next ring as well, which you dont have because 4 of those rely on cooldowns… 3 directly and 1 from the regen while using those… So you’re still screwed if not killing before the second ring…

I beat salazan with my berserker d/d elementalist…that’s a melee class…just strafe left and right when he throws out fire lol.

salazan can be done without vigour or swiftness or even a movement speed sigil. why? because that’s how I did it – my mesmer had vigour but I avoided dodging as much as I could.

first off: don’t try to leave the ring. the ring is your space limiter and you have to stay inside.
secondly: the ground below your feet gets warm, so you have to move around while not moving into areas still hot from before (spiraling or just zigzagging)
and lastly: the fire attacks moving towards you are pretty slow and can be avoided by walking alone. this also reduces the risk of dodgeing into the flame ring or another projectile. stay on the safe side though, as their hitbox is pretty large.

that’s all that’s necessary to win this fight. just move around while autoattacking salazan.

if you can’t do this after several tries, then the gauntlet isn’t for you. either you can get better or you have to accept the fact that there are parts of the game you will not be able to do.

next time, try to ask nicely instead of insulting the people giving you help and you might get an answer sooner.

I know it can be done… I’ve done it… Is it a challenge? No… Not really… Is it dependant on skill? No, not really… Is it dependant on any factor beside luck as a ranger? nope… The gimmick to the ring, is dependant on block, which rangers dont actually have except for one GS skill which can only block melee attacks… Without block, there’s basicly nothing you can do aside from being lucky… Either by not having a second ring cast right after the first… Or with the pattern he sends the waves as… If he sends in certain patterns, you’re either dead or using every CD you have to stay alive once… And then you have nothing for the second ring which he’ll just repeat the same pattern…

You’re consistently being given statements that contradict your belief, and you’ve consistently decided to brush it off and say “Nope, only luck. All luck, always luck. I don’t care how you did it, it was luck.”

I’m sorry that you’re such a perfect player that nothing we can say to you will help improve you and all of our accomplishments have nothing to do with our skill, but are purely based on luck.

I’m using some monstrosity hybrid of a build that uses Magi gear in PvE, in PvP I’ve been constructing a “Teemo Build” to really get the kitten flowing!

Just remember to never underestimate the power of the scouts code and you’ll do fine

Went around roaming SBI BL this morning and tonight. Just wanted to say, really great fights with EB guilds.

Fury (thief and warrior) that dragged from south camp all the way to SW tower and then some.

HGH (might have the acronym wrong, something dynasty, warrior) outside of SE tower, twice! great fights both times!

Anonymous Defender (elementalist). You guys have the best videos! I didn’t know you were on EB!

Borlis Pass on the other hand, tried to zerg me down every time, and every roamer except for 1 guy in Krew ran away only to come back with more. Stop living up to your reputation! And to the warrior from Krew with 5 stacks of 50 vit, 5 stacks of 50 power, and 25 stacks of bloodlust: One of these days I will kill you!

For a thread involving BP, SBI, and Ebay, three servers who arguably have some major grudges going on, this thread was remarkably tame. Thank you, so much, for kicking it up a notch. I shall now proceed to continue being bad at WvW and still maintaining a points lead on SBI.

Also, if you hate us “PvDooring” your borderlands, maybe you should defend it. Just a humble suggestion. Incidentally, we have been trying to decide which server should get third place in this match up. While its never a consensus, (as nobody actually leads Borlis) posts like this help to drive the hive mind. I know I will do everything I can to make sure SBI comes in last place now. And here I was thinking I would focus Ebay. After all, its the least I can do. You did say my guild was bad at WvW. Its up to me now to disabuse you of the nation. Trust in the fact that I will, and trust that I will inform the 60 or so members who are online in my guild at any point in time of this fact too. See you on the battlefield.

Why does BP keep patting themselves on the back for capping SBI BL? We’re a PUG Server, we have next to no guild groups. Let’s compare guilds between BP and SBI.

Yes you guys are awesome. Even though we have no guilds on our entire server that can put 20+ people in WvW on any night other than reset, you still think you deserve some kind of trophy for beating us. With exception of DR, and Krew, all of your guilds are terrible. WFD is quite possibly the most pathetic 50 man guild zerg ball I’ve ever seen, they have no skill whatsoever.

SBI is the true server of winners, we do more with less guilds than any server on NA. Find a server outside of tier 8 that has less WvW focused guilds than us. I’ll send 5 gold to any BP or Ebay player who can screen shot a 25+ man guild group from SBI during Tuesday-Friday. Hell I’ll even take one from Friday-Monday. That’s how confident I am they don’t exist.

We beat you and your “guilds” thoroughly on the weekends, it’s no secret we PvE during the weekdays but if we had even one, or maybe two dedicated WvW guilds to keep the morale high during the week, we would kitten you in the kitten all week.

TLDR: BP is bad, they have many large WvW guilds, yet only two of them are good (Krew and DR). The rest are kittenty puggers that only make your server look bad.

I have seen BS with 30-35 people wipe SBI zergs of 50+ multiple times today alone. Just because SBI doesn’t have large guilds doesn’t stop them from making large zergs. They just combine multiple guilds that get wiped by BP and then claim that they had less numbers than they really did because they were all from different guilds.

Here we go again. BP bragging that oh look our 30-35 people on voice can beat your 50+, half of whom are upleveled, without consumables and not on voice. You guys are great, can I get your autograph? BP actually thinks that 30-35 people on voice is at a disadvantage against 50+ who are not on voice or using the same level of coordination. Some days our karma train is an excellent fighting force, some days it isn’t. Despite being at a disadvantage fighting BP guild groups, it is not uncommon for our PuG groups to obliterate you in the open field, with no frontline/backline or rotations. The quality of the average player on SBI is just much better than that of BP, and you need massive guild groups on voice chat to disguise this deficiency.

The fact is, a number of people on BP, whether they admit it pubicly or not, know that guilds like WFD are awful at open field fighting. They get wiped time and time again by numerically inferior Ebay guild groups and SBI PuG groups who eat their lunch. On Ebay BL tonight, WFD was described as “free bags”. This will of course be denied, but perhaps some of the Ebay players wiping them at Bay can attest to this.

I might as well add a shout out to Esperanis for bragging about sick PvD skills against the SBI skeleton crew today. You’re bad, and you know it. We’ve taken your eternal keep and garrison a few times this reset with 50-60 of you squirreled away on arrow carts. How often can you say you took keeps against SBI when we had the numbers to put up the same kind of resistance? Never? You play PvDoor for points, and brag about capping empty towers and keeps on our borderlands. How does this make you good?

So your answer to a 30 man GH or 20 man hawk group is to bring 50 people. Good to know.

I’d love to get a fight club going of some sort, i can never seem to fight BP on a 1v1 scale without them running until they find more, even when equal numbers they run into the nearest tower, maybe i’ve just been running into the wrong folks

The amount of OP claims have possibly surpassed even the old Ele D/D build debate.

They really haven’t. It’s just the same 6-7 players who come into only our forums saying exactly the same thing over and over in every thread. They don’t post it in sPvP or WvW forums because then they can’t use their argument that warriors are just defending an overpowered build and are all bad players looking to hang on to an overpowered build.

There is no compromise needed because the build is fine as is.

It doesn’t really matter whether he was right or wrong about healing on a spirit ranger. They are part of the meta, where as warriors are not. If a spirit ranger comes in here complaining about this build it is pretty lame. He probably confused spirit ranger with BM regen builds.

Yeah, sorry. Spirit rangers make excellent mobile homepoints as part of the current meta, and BM regen builds can easily top 500 HP/s, as can many other builds and classes.

Did everyone already forget what Warriors were like before the healing buff?? You could just wear them down in a fight, and they could either stay and die, or turn and flee for their lives.

You COULD move some of the baseline healing into traited stuff, for the same overall result, but then again…. that’d only pidgeonholes warriors into those very traits because they need them to survive. You’ll see MORE gimmicky builds that way, not less.

The reason his healing seems OP is because he’s also controlling you (and you’re letting him) which means you’re not hitting him all the time.

I actually have no problem with you having improvements to your heals, Just as long as you have to invest in healing power like everyone else.

If you check out this thread, you’ll see we are pretty on par when you consider other sources of healing and mitigation. Warriors don’t have the luxury of easy access to reliable regen, evades and heals attached to our weapons, or protection. A lot of us made this class work over the last 11 months, and we got pretty decent with broken heals. Now that our heals have been buffed to the point that a player can’t just faceroll against a good warrior, people are getting hefty doses of skilled players at the helm of a competitive class.

Honestly, I was surprised to see you in here. Even after all these changes, Ranger still looks like a really tempting class to me. Great regen duration; preci and crit damage in the same tree; 150 precision 20 points deep in the power tree; really strong sustained ranged damage; good uptime on fury; stuns, dazes, and evades tacked onto some of your weapons… you guys have some tools that are pretty awesome. If it wasn’t for lemongrass, I dare say my ranger would make my warrior cry.

You’re not magically kicking butt because its all skill mate…You’re doing better now because the overbuffed your class

We also have evades on your weapons like you have Block on your shield, Because you have Heavy armor (and more HP) you get less Evades then us…

I mean did you look a the class list there, You have one of the best heals in the game now with no investment.

I’ll spare the math, but I assure you, I’m very well aware of the capabilities of my class as well as yours.

As far as your response to our healing, we have a strong heal because the only other class-specific, reliable heals come from Defense 15 (at the cost of sitting on adrenaline) or Tactics 30. DM gives a heal too, but you have to count on being CCed. Meanwhile, many other classes have their heals plus easy access to prot, regen, weapon based heals… the list goes on.

I did just fine on a warrior before this buff; I still do just fine on him now, and I’ll continue to do just fine with him nerfed or not, because we won’t ever be weaker than we were. Anet may nerf the heals, they may not, but it won’t matter to me because I’ll still keep on winning. Many of the warriors that have stuck it out here are good players, and now that their class has been fixed, they are wiping the floor with players who’ve enjoyed 11 months of an advantage; I have no sympathy.

There are way to many players finding this build of war OP ingame and accross the forums, this is equivalent to the number of players who complained about DD bunker eles. It will be seeing a nerf, it’s not the end of the world. At best it gets a longer cooldown or a shorter stun duration which it much requires. Not game breaking for warriors.

I have been playing a M/Sh GS build since shortly after the June 25th patch and have hardly had any players say anything about it being overpowered. What happens more often is I down them and then they come back with utilities that help to counter it. As a matter of fact, my M/Sh H build is what people complained a lot about, and said was the most annoying build they had ever seen. Mostly those complaints were from Necromancers though.

Why don’t you guys tell the truth? This build is strong in 1v1 but by no means is it overpowered. It is alright at small group pvp but the more people there are the worse it gets (just like many other 1v1 builds). You just don’t like the fact that warrior is finally starting to move forward and are afraid of change.

Let’s not forget that there wasn’t a single complaint about this build before the slight buff to warrior heals in the latest patch either. It is much more likely that a few people here saw warrior buffs keep coming every patch (rightfully so) and they are afraid warriors are going to get too strong and are trying to convince developers not to buff them further (for fear of necro syndrome). That little buff to warrior heals did not all the sudden make the build overpowered.
