Yeah, i saw that you can get Fury, Stability, Retaliation, Clear condi, and apply Bleed, Weakness, Vulnerability and heal when pop out DS.

My “twitchy finger” control is better and i’m not leaving DS so often. :P

No. Don’t be so twitchy some necro builds utilize exactly what your talking about some call it flashing ds. If all your useful ds skills are on cooldown but you still get fury or weakening shroud or stability from flashing ds it can help a bit.

Necros not having mobility is fine but they certainly should have stability. How can we be an attrition class when we can get ping ponged around so easily?

Since the idea is “necros are dangerous to be near but aren’t very mobile”, why not add stability to the necro in ways that force us to move less.

For example if the Well of Power added 1 sec of stability per pulse while you’re in it, it’d limit our mobility by forcing us to be in the well to get stability.

If the Wurm minion gave us 2 seconds of stability every 10 seconds we’re within 600 range of it, that’d give us stability while limiting our mobility.

Or a trait that gave us 2 seconds of stability if our staff marks are activated while we’re inside them (other than the mark of blood since it’s cooldown is too small and since it already gives us a boon if we’re in it). Adding to the idea that we’re dangerous to be near, while also rewarding skilled play.

Stuff like that would be interesting, stuff that makes us dangerous while hindering our mobility.

All of this kitten over 8% reduction on the passive. 8%. EIGHT kittenING PERCENT! That’s around 30 less health a second. It is sooooooooo utterly kittening irrelevant….

The problem is that it’s still a permanent and passive, no-counter play, heal. It’s still not the amount. The amount was/is fine. Until ANet realizes that it’s the basic design of the thing that’s broken (as I said a million times now: The passives in signets should be a bonus to the active, not their main reason to be) everything else is either an irrelevant token change (QED) or nerfing it back into uselessness.

Those that aint happy with a weaker regen of 700 per second (trololololol) will just have to run healing surge again or regen banners (please go ahead and cry so i can feed on your tears)

I roam as a power necro. Full Pvt gear, runes of exuberance, applied fortitude, sigils of accuracy and perception. 0/0/10/30/30 build. I have 34k hp and 27k DS hp with fortitude…so 60k hp combined. My crit in DS is around 75% with a full stack and asparagus steak. I can rebuild my HP with dagger 2, my heal and regen buff. I can build LF with dagger 1, and focus 4. I have 2 full cleanses via heal and dagger 4. Well of Power gives me vigor, regen and protection. Wells give me protection. Best of all thanks to dagger speed trait I don’t lose speed. You can’t strip it, it doesn’t take up a util slot and it works in Death Shroud. If I want to be a real kitten I can slot plague form as my elite instead of lich.

I’m not mobile beyond my 25% run speed. I show up and I either win or die. I usually win, even when outnumbered. In a long fight I could take over a 100k worth of damage or more. It takes a zerg to burn me down, and even then it takes awhile if they’re too stupid to interrupt my skills.

My only real concern are other heavy sustain enemies like cleric wars/guards/eles. I have to overwhelm their healing with my burst because their sustain outpaces my own and will eventually negate my 40-50k hp head start.

Maybe instead of leaps we should receive reverse-teleports ( teleport an enemy to the necromancer)? We would still be a low mobility class but we can keep our enemies in combat.

It’s actually lore regarding norn and cold in particular. Where a human or asura might freeze to death in the sub-zero temperatures, norn would thrive.

This isn’t to say they’re immortal against the cold, because yes at a certain point even norn can eventually freeze to death or succumb to frostbite.

They can handle it a lot better than any other playable race lore wise.

The Norn actually are more comfortable in cold environments. There’s NPC’s in the world that state ths. So it has nothing to do with the game mechanics of other races being able to unequip armor and not freeze.

If game mechanics are not the reason, then explain to me why my asura/sylvari/human characters can survive in the Shiverpeaks just as easily as any norn?

For the same reason they can breathe underwater indefinitely? Because having to manage your body heat would be an incredibly lame game mechanic.

That’s basically what I was saying…

Hello, to be honest with all the respect i think arena net doesn’t even know what they are doing at this point, nerfing the most important thing of a player… they’ r healing, even tho they say is to “OP” what other thing do we have to sustain condition’s such as poison… probably some of u are going to say cleasing ire, shake it off, soldier runes with the shouts or even berserker stance, but the truth is that you cant fight a condition thief cause u can beraly hit them they’ll just permastealth when berserker stance and you’ll be kittened when they start the permablind and i don’t even want to talk about mesmers… players that can stealth have a huge advantage they can not only heal completely but they can also hit insane burst dmg plus theyr movility is just insane.
know that warriors r going to become fresh meat, they will no longer be “warriors” but a simple civilian looking for help in wvw, cheers.
PS: OFC all this is for hardcore players, nabs that haven’t fought good player’s wouldn’t understand.

If you can’t beat a thief as a warrior, then the problem is you. hambow ftw

Overdramatic much? We were playing warriors when they were considered free kills and had a good success rate even then. In fact, learning to play with disadvantages , using the terrain to block/hide from ranged and making optimal use of our rotations made us better players.

Those of us who kept playing warrior (and we kitten love it) were also there when we were hit hard with damage nerfs on most of our weapons and a good number of traits.

We will still be killing everyone that cant dedicate the time to learn about the class and its weaknesses. Healing signet nerf is minimal. Im more interested to see how much the active will be buffed. Im honestly looking at this as a big buff rather than a nerf.

Just because its funny, but people seem to either have a short memory or are new to the game.

Yes warrior is op in PVP now, not godlike, not going to turn bad players in r1 world champs, just pretty darn good. It will make an average player a bit better but thats about it.

But please, lurk harder on the forums, and you will notice that for about a good 8 months the warrior was dog crap. It was total trash, and only a fool would use it. Guardian, Eles, kitten , even a tanky necro were all better at tanking, mesmers and thiefs had better damage, in fact no matter the build or role, about 4 other classes would be better by a significant portion no matter what. All they had was bullsrush+frenzy+100bs and that was really it, oh and the rifle kill shot but that was even worse. Both became so easy to counter, no one cared and in fact people would laugh at a warrior swinging wildly in the air at nothing whilst everyone just dodged or teled away from the poor sap. And the only way a rifle works is if they sit right back and hope no one notices them. That was it really for the warrior.

So, whilst yes it needs to be toned down a little, it will be. Let the warrior have his day in the sun, god knows they deserve it after being bottom for so long.

(As a thief, I remember the days when we were godly, now we are fast becoming rubbish. Its the natural way of things in the balance patch world. The warrior will be soon enough down in the dirt again, with some new class spec being king.)

Wanna see how warriors are NOT OP? Fight a skilled necro, engineer, thief, or mesmer. They will destroy you. If they pop doom sigils on their weapons a warrior will be destroyed even harder.

People need to L2P. Warriors are EASY MODE on my engineer.

I have died so many times because of this…

I don’t see anyone except hybrid builds using the new Dumbfire… power builds have better options in that trait line and condition builds will probably change trait lines altogether.

I wonder if we’re going to get any of the bleeds back that they nerfed because of Dumbfire… we’ll probably get some more nerfs instead.

I dont know what to say, patch after patch balance gets more out of hand. Is it really necessarily to have a monthly subscription fee to play a game that is moderately balanced? Look:

Putrid explosion buffed instead of nerfed by changing twice its damage or radius.
Training of the master buffed from 30% to 35%
Dhuumfire damage buffed with double its damage & vampiric precision DOUBLED would STILL MAKE NECROMANCERS UNDERPOWERED IN EVERY ASPECT IN THE GAME.

I must be from another planet, or the devs. But than again, every necro so far is not making constructive posts anymore and more or less turning cynical about it.

As a thief I would appreciate hard counters to stealth. I simply find it laughably easy to win in wvw with perma stealth on demand. If i start to lose, I simply poof in the middle of the fight, watch my enemies flail around, heal up then return to kill my enemies. I’d like a little more of a challenge. Bring it on <3
