All pets should continue tracking and hitting Stealth targets without any “Sick’em” skill.
Why would we ruin our already ruined builds even more with a skill “that we must use”.?
Same problem was up with GW1 rangers, when we had to equip “Charm Animal” skill up to keep pets on our side. They fixed this issue in GW2, but also found out a new one…

As much as I love the new dungeon, I must say that the achievement Grounded is extremely bad designed and all it does is encourage selfish behavior.
This is the last one I need and so far it has been a royal pain in the kitten to do simply due to its mechanics.
In the few last runs, most just needs that achievement left. So while there’s always one / two guys that don’t really care (cause they already have it or simply don’t care) and go for the platforms regardless. So the other guys that need it, will as soon as it’s safe to move to a platform, just go there and camp it. Everyone remains silent hoping another one will take the bullet so he can get the achievement.
Just in the last run, we had 4 guys waiting in the same platform for 10 minutes hoping the rest would go. Eventually me and some others went before this started to get ugly. This meant me and the two other guys losing the achievement so 1 guy could get it. It’s just awful design. Although it is in theory possible for everyone to get the achievement by perfectly avoiding the electric floors, it’s just relying too much on luck and no one is willing to risk it if there’s an easy alternative.
I know how the pattern works, but it’s just too unforgiving and it’s an achievement that is literally at the end of the dungeon. Mess up, tough luck, you have to run the whole dungeon again to get a shot at it.
Most players running this dungeon, only has the Grounded achievement left. So most players that already have Grounded, won’t be running this dungeon. Meaning you’ll be paired mostly with people that are also in need of the achievement.
I shouldn’t be relying on getting clueless / generous people just so I can benefit from them to get an achievement.

Oh I love this dungeon, tried it 14 times with different pugs I just love it! Maybe on 24 or 76 try I’ll get it done ? I so much love to waste time to gain nothing.
I’m just sad It requires so much teamwork and “scpecific classes” with “anti-kitten-projectiles” to make the Ooze part faster.

Its strange, I can handle any other profession except this one in wvw. I rarely die except when I get that classic high damage steal + backstab and then whatever else that happens in seconds. Am i just unlucky with thieves in wvw? Every other profession doesn’t bother me. Any advise besides build around countering a thief? My current armor is 2808.
Funny, the only two professions it even works against are engineers and necromancers. If anything, it needs a serious buff.
All they need to do is remove the root and the complaints will stop. We don’t mind the jump. We just mind not being able to dodge as necessary unless we purposefully cut our DPS, something no other class needs to do.

kind of gutted i didn’t notice this at the time as i would have def asked why they’re now designing content to not even be completable in the short time the living world is available for.

THe problem isn’t even with the boss or the difficulty. The problem is one GuildWars 2 has all over the place:
The loot is not scaled, it is totally random and is not proportionate to the effort needed or time invested. Levelling to level 250 in WvWxp gives you the same crappy chest as levelling to level 2. But any people with common sense who would have programmed this game would have realized that this is ridiculous and that every new title needed to be accompanied to new loot chances (ex: no more blue in chest when you reach bronze, no more greens when you reach silver, etc).
Teq should drop only exotics or ascended and thats it.
I’m not doing it anymore, nor am I doing that new dungeon. Way too time consuming for the uncertainty of a reward worth more than salvaging.

Are the temple events farmed over and over?

Not every server is going to dedicate themselves to farm tequatl, ask around and guest on a server that does it from time to time.. quit the whining.
Nevermind that pretty much every other activity in the game is pick-up-and-go, we have to stop whining that this one requires you to actively go out of your way for possibly hours. Right.

Also its a pain to alt + tab to a 3rd party timer website to find out when world bosses like tequatl are going to spawn. That should be given to us in game. If they want the living world to feel living, why not implement some plot that a character has given us a com link for when we are needed and when these events are within 5 minutes from spawning, give us a notice like they do with the scarlet invasions. This would kill two birds with one stone and make the world feel alive and ensure the players don’t have to rely on 3rd party sites to find out when the events are.
Or make a seperate chat channel called Rumor and have it say something like Rumor: There are disturbances in the water at sparkfly fen!
Killed him like an hour ago on Millers – people that want the kill enough will organize and do it, those that would like it but say meh to effort will not get it and post on forums. Working as intended if I judge the Anet correctly.
Because organizing over 100 people with minimal in-game tools is so easy a caveman can do it, right?

The current Tequatl fight should become a guild mission…its much better there, since only big guilds can do it really…
The old Tequatl should be restored to Sparkfly Fen.

Its not actually hard, just that 1 party worth of trolls(out of 80-100) can guarantee it fails. Even just afkers can scale it up and pretty much force a fail.
Thats poor design, or rather a design that uses players inability to just chit-chat for 90mins and spring to action at the sound of a baritone hylek.
Tequatl should have had a clearly defined triggering pre-event and when it starts all afk timers reset to a 1 minute kick countdown. They also need to do something about not being able to identify between downed or dead players in the water.
Tequatl was the first dragon I fought in this game, its too bad they removed him.
I find less people in the ruins than I ever found in camps/sentries while roaming.
The lack of personal rewards from the ruins means that they really are just another hot-join PvP arena for those that play in them. The only exception would be those few organised guilds which pay for a team to cap/hold the bloodlust buff – but that would be uncommon outside of T1.
Conclusion: nice idea in theory, but not successful in the reality of WvW.
the reason why nobody really cares for the ruins is that ther feel very very disconnected from the rest of wvw. its more of a little spvp esport area….

They still have not allowed vial essence, the required mat for ascended backpacks, outside their miserable fractals. They promised they would do it within a few months after they launched the despicable fractals. This was a lie.
I think this can be settled with insulting Anet. GG Anet for giving trials siege, 10/10 would fix engi’s magnet.

Soft wood was bad enough, but Cotton will be a zillion times worse. Please do not have it as an ascended ingredient.
I don’t understand why they would do this to us. The hardcore player in me NEEDS this armor because, well, stats. The casual player in me says wtf, looks ugly as hell, no way am I gonna get that.
Then transmute?
So, they put the least amount of effort into armor design so that they could force the players to buy gems to get crystals to transmute?

I see no problem with Teq not being done. The encounter is clearly defined, people know how to beat him and have beaten him. Most importantly, people are beating him (done it twice since patch).
The problem is that TQ is not the only event that is not being done. There are many parts of the game that are desolate.
If a majority of the population condenses in a select few areas, that is not good for the game. People burn out, leave and the wealth of content that has been produced over 5 years goes unnoticed.
What we had before, which was people just bouncing from one meta to another, was also not good.
So the question is whether Anet can even create an exciting and active world. If TQ was supposed to be a test, it does not bode well. Without any expansions or sequels in the works, that goes double. -.-
I do him daily. Really good rewards for 15 to 30 minutes of work.
15-30 mins for the fight itself, an hour or so to organize on voice comms and get into a overflow, so pretty kitten loot for 1h-1.5 hours work. Nice try anet minion.
I have to say this event needs a rework. I have been in guested servers to beat this dragon and get all the achievements for it, so really i have no desire to ever attempt this again. Its not that its boring, i love the changes they made to the fight. But this event now requires a zerg to kill and seems to not scale for off peak times. Seems to me you have to kill teq within a couple of hours of reset and then he is pretty much ignored till the next reset.
This is a world event and not a dungeon event. Anet needs to look at this and change this event up. I have spent the last 2 weeks trying Teq out on many different servers. JQ/BG/SoR/SoS just to name a few. Seems the Teq Defeats have occured for me mostly on Overflows. So people seem to having to us a gimmic to get in an overflow with a couple of large organized guilds in order to have a chance to kill Teq. This is not the way a world event should be intended to function. Reminds me of the days of Syncing in GW1 for an unfair advantage. (if you dont know look it up)
I love the fight, it feels epic, and less like a loot pinata but the fact is the event seems almost impossible on low pop servers and to me and many in my guild not worth even trying again till around reset. Is this the path all world events/dragons are headed? If so i fear my favorite MMO maybe headed down a dark and dangerous path of ending up like gw1 did.
Ghost towns in 90% of the game and the other 10% stayed in the most profitable zones, dont make the same mistake you made in your first game!
Again, Love the direction of Teq and can see it making all the events fun, but if the event is this hard to complete maybe it should have been an instanced or guild mission type thing. A Dynamic event that happens every 1-1.5 hours failing over and over, surly Anet has logs of this and this should be a sign the event needs some sort of tweaking.

So this event takes no less than 80 or so players to beat it?
Also another thing that bugs me and im fully expecting a flame fest for this and i think the Dev was wrong to do this when she streamed, felt to me like it was promotion of players not to work together in an event designed for players to work together!
Why for in a team based game does it seem everyone including Anet wants people to work together to complete a goal but Rezing a fellow Teammate seems to not be common practice. You put the ability to res people when downed in this game. If its not effective to rez people and tell them to simply way point, Why on earth did you put it in the game?
If its not effective, do your job and make it effective instead of throw it off on a way point so you can make the community burn up gold on wp fees.
yeah not to mention you have to camp and wait on teq for an hour just to get in to have a chance to beat him. If all the events end up with changes like this, mine as well call the game Guild Waits 2 instead of Guild Wars 2

Losing all faith in anet
It only kittens glass cannon thieves that die in 5 seconds.
Not to mention teleport and evasion are a massive portion of thief escapability/survivability, they wouldn’t die instantly unless they ran out of options besides stealth and that is their own fault.
