Thank god that EotM is Player-vs-Door and not Player-vs-Player, so he is not breaking any rules.
He was killed by a Skritt, the one next to him. They are mad because they were informed they wouldn’t be a playable race so they are killing ANet employees.
Next, Skritt hit squads rampaging through Lion’s Arch!

EotM has nothing to do with WvW. It’s a Queensdale train and fast level up tool wrapped into one. If they nerfed the champs to give one box per day, EotM would be a desolate wasteland.
A nice start would be removing WXP gain from EotM. Used to be that fighting someone with a high rank meant that you were facing an experienced opponent. Now, when I watch from a distance as a Silver rank Guardian stands in front of one of my phantasms, spamming his staff auto to kill it, I don’t need to ponder where all those rank points were accumulated.
In my PvE guild, EotM is frequently recommended to new players as a way to level up a character fast. That, and loot farming, is all it is used for. I guess it’s useful for Arenanet because it falsely bolsters the numbers; you have loads of PvErs pretending to play WvW, so you can look at server stats and say the WvW community isn’t writhing crippled in its death throes.
I’m not sure what, if anything, you can do to salvage that particular map, beyond the obvious reward nerfs that ANet is never going to make.

Read the text guys it isn’t tl;dr, so stop posting your vids here unless you are trying to gain viewers for your videos..
community@arena.net, using the Subject line “WvW video”.
Plays completely opposite professions to his main Teef.
Guys let’s think of this as the last resort of communication between Anet and us. If we do submit our videos/footage, and if anet does not use it to revamp/advertise WvW, we can safely say that anet will forever do away with WvW. However if Anet does use our footage as an entrance to address our 2 year concern, then maybe its a turning point for us. Before we give up and lament let’s give our best video and see how it goes.
anet are you okay?
Except your post is a wall of text that even interested people find difficult to read through. Ever heard of bullet points?
Prices rise due to a combination of reduced supply or increased demand. Since the Megaserver the T6 farming circuit has become more difficult to do, which cuts supply. Also with the wardrobe there’s an increase push to make legendaries since you can dup the skin once you have one, which increases demand.
And that doesn’t take into account level 500 crafting so you can craft ascended items also pushing up demand. One of the reasons Dry Top mat farming is currently big, trying to fill the need.
RIP City of Heroes
They’ll reduce our base health pool and increase our cooldowns.
Just add more m’s and you should be fine.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
- So recently I had to change one of my characters names due to it being inappropriate or whatever – this is not a good opening line for your argument. If you had an inappropriate name, it kind of sets a negative connotation for the rest of the post
- and after I got through trying about 50 different names, I realized that every single good name is taken. – so you were unable to come up with an original name in 50 tries? To validate, I created 4 new characters last night for Key runs, all 4 different names went through the first time
- And to make things worse I know most of them are taken by people who have since quit the game. – This would be impossible to know
- I think there should be a wipe of all names after 365 days of inactivity from the game. Simply give them the same name change prompt I got upon log-in once and if they decide to ever log-in again. – As ANet has said numerous times in the past, they consider it perfectly fine to put the game down for a while and come back whenever you choose, so this forced name change when someone comes back after a year would go against their own policy
- Character names are a huge contributing factor to keeping active players around, it is great for bringing their own personality and style into the game. It is literally their identity. – can’t argue with this one, I agree wholeheartedly
- Give the active players the ability to get the names they want, it is only fair. Why should inactive players get all the pretty names? – it is pretty much a first come first served basis. In the first hour of the Head Start, two names that I wanted were unavailable. Somebody just beat me to them. I had alternative names already prepared and picked one of those. Both of the alternative names went through fine, I just had to be a bit more creative
- How do you guys feel? Same boat as me or not. Is 365 days too punishing, or not long enough? – So in summary I must respectfully disagree with your proposal
Story/lore should be accessible by players of ANY skill level.
That’s like saying you should be able to progress in Final Fantasy 7 even though you insist to attack the Scorpion boss while his tail is up.
This is most definitely a l2p issue. If you’re having hat much a difficulty with this boss, then PM me ingame and I’ll teach you which tactics to use.
Story/Lore is accessible by reading books.
You’re supposed to be a hero, someone who knows how to do things, and knows how to fight.
Otherwise Rytlock would probably just get a villager to do the work instead of you.
A game without a challenge is an extremely boring game.
You can say “permanent changes to WvW maps” without having to go into details.
Then we get users qq-ing here about how they don’t like the maps or how some map feature was better before the change and now they’re going to quit the game because the change is so stupid.
You can say “exploring ways to enhance the commander interface” without giving away the farm.
Then we get users qq-ing here about how enhancements were “promised” and why aren’t they done already.
“The mob is fickle”
This is the case in every game. Some players will like things others will not.
The issue is that we havent had anything that is directly linked to WvW to QQ over!
There is huge difference between complaining about updates that people do not like, and complaining about a lack of updates!
Imagine going to a supermarket and you want to buy some fruit and veg. You go to the fruit and veg section and you find nothing! Everywhere else in the store is fully stocked.
You ask an employee if they have any fruit and veg. The employee says they are working on bringing in a whole range of fruits and veg from all over, but not sure when it will be delivered in.
You come back the next week and see that the fruit and veg section is still empty. But over in electricals they have a new line of TVs in. You go to the employees and ask again. The employee says what the delivery is a little complex and a few issues came up, try again next week.
The following week, again the fruit and veg section is empty! This time electricals has in a new line of microwaves. You ask the employee; the employee, annoyed that you’ve asked him 3 times in 3 weeks just turns away and walks off. You confused and a little upset they brushed you off, decide to come back the following week.
And so the following week you come in and see the fruit and veg section is empty yet again; but you see a single apple on the shelf. You go and see that electricals have a just received a delivery of the lastest consoles. You ask the employee why after a month they only have received a single apple! whilst electricals has had 4 full deliveries!?? The employee annoyed once again tells you that delivery of fruit and veg is complex then kicks you out of the store.
The next week as you come to the store, you see a huge sign saying “New Fruit and Veg coming in store next week! Including a whole range of Apples!”. You think to yourself, that finally they will get in some fruit and veg!
You pop in the following week all eager to finally get some fruit and veg. But the shelves are all still empty. You see boxes littered in the fruit and veg section, but somethings off. You look closer at one of the boxes which has an apple logo on it. To your surprise the box doesnt containt fruit and veg, but a range of Apple electrical products! You try to find the employee to demand why the sign said new fruit and veg when in fact it was another delivery for electricals! But alas he is nowhere to be found. you leave rather vexed at the whole thing.
You come back the following week, again the fruit and veg section is empty, but this time you see a single banana on a shelf. Again electricals have received a new line of mobile phones. You get mad, ask the employee to see the manager. The employee ignores your request and bans you from the store.
You annoyed that electricals seems to get deliveries every week with new lines of products, whilst the fruit and veg section lay bare, start banging on the door to see the manager and demand and explaination as to why electricals gets it’s deliveries whilst fruit and veg deliveries are somehow more complex?! The employee then threatens to call security.

Q: What can make WvW as good as DAoC’s?
A: Rose-colored glasses and a time machine.
I’m not being sarcastic. The RvR concept implemented in DAoC was in a different era.
I loved DAoC and the RvR there. Still my all-time favorite MMO; and I have no illusions about the balance issues (52 classes at one point) and the problems that ToA created. (Yes, I was on the internals board.)
First, there was no such thing as server transfers. If you wanted to play on a different realm you rerolled from scratch. And PvE leveling, then releveling RRs was painful. Or you bought a “used” account, and whatever reputation went with it (which back then, was everything.) Let’s not even talk about the weapon leveling process that erupted from ToA.
The population was incredibly small compared to today’s averages. (300k at peak).
And “coverage” back then meant that someone scheduled a 3 or 5 AM surprise relic raid when everybody else was sleeping.
And as for maps, they weren’t even trying to be balanced. Most of the fighting took place in the large, open, flat areas of Emain, affectionately known as “the golfcourse”.
And do we really want to go back to paying for gate repairs as well as having to haul lumber while encumbered? I know I don’t.
Those are most of the significant differences. Not all are good ones. Yes, realm pride and community there was amazing. That sense carried forward into this game’s implementation of RvR in some small measure.
As much as I believe server transfers are an issue (and have said I don’t believe characters that have stepped into WvW ought to be able to transfer), it’s a different era, and transfers have been a game industry norm now for almost a decade.
So yes, there are things that can be done to improve GW2’s WvW… but it needs to be a step forward refining what currently exists. And the current design implementation already includes server transfers which can’t be undone. I can’t see throwing that out to take a step back towards DAoC.
/turns discussion back towards details such as siege, etcetera
Game Security Lead
This forum is not a place for appealing a ban, but since you went into so much detail on why you think you got banned, I’ll go into the same level of detail on why you actually got banned.
Your account was terminated due to use of a 3rd Party Botting program. In regards to your reference to Cursed Shore, that is where you were reported (thanks players that reported you) and investigated. After watching your character, our GM team was able to determine that you were running a bot.
To extend further on that investigation, I looked into the logs and it looks like you were leaving your bot on for a couple of hours then playing the game later.
I also find it very interesting that a user by the name of kitten Cracked also has a post on a known botting forum where that user goes into depth about botting in Cursed Shore and is attempting to help others do the same.
Closing this thread. Please open a ticket with Customer Service if you wish to appeal.

Assuming he doesn’t get killed by Mord this season…
one can only hope
- The megaserver nature of EoTM ensures it has no community.
- No community means there’s no “team spirit.”
- No team spirit means no one cares about winning or losing.
- No one caring about winning or losing means 24/7 karma train.
EoTM’s massive failure is actually a great lesson on the importance of community. Of course Anet didn’t learn that when they used EoTM as a beta for megaservers.
To make matters worse, guilds organize on all three sides and monopolize the map by intentionally avoiding each other and griefing defenders (typically by mass reporting the player with false accusations).
Its utterly disgusting what EotM has become, and I was a huge fan of it before and just after launch! Its Queensdale Train 2.0 and it makes me sick!
Tarnished Coast
I want Kasmeer and Marjory gone. I think their characters are uninteresting.
That leaves with Taimi (with Scruffy), Rox (with Frostbite) and Braham. Now throw in Lord Faren instead of Kasmeer and Marjory, and maybe a completely new character, and I’m all good.
Because we all know the result of these CDI threads are nothing. This isn’t even a troll, why would we care about another CDI when were still asking for things from the first couple ?
CDI’s are only meant to be a smoke screen to settle the community down by suggesting that the Dev’s actually listen to us, the reality is, they don’t listen and don’t care. They will continue to implement things we don’t need or want while ignoring the things we do need and want.
Because ANet has worn us down… WvW players expect little and many have no hope of any substantial changes coming.
“Youre lips are movin and youre complaining about something thats wingeing.”

@OP:
I don’t think the majority of players look at EotM the same way that you do unfortunately. PPT does not matter in this realm and most players don’t really care about winning. They go to EotM to level characters, complete dailies, gain karma, or test new specs.
Lack of community in EoTM made it into a karma train. Anet should learn something from this (but won’t).
Are you trying to trick me into getting more infractions?
The problem with an Anet GW2 hosted voice chat is dealing with in game verbal abuse and what not. If they hosted their own client then they would also have to deal with monitoring it like they do with the in game text chat. That would tie up a lot of resources. It is in their best interest to leave the voice chat to 3rd party programs where they are not held responsible for what might be said.
