If ET had the numbers you do.. they would waffle stomp you… they have people that can take defended upgraded objectives without a 5 or 6-1 advantage in numbers.

You guys have gotten so reliant on numbers well its disappointing, you do nothing but move in 1 big blob spamming 1 yea you will beat lower population servers doesnt mean your better than them, just that you have more bodies. (again RH is pretty darn good, its the rest of the server thats lacking)

by the end of our last match up whenever you guys actually fought IOJ (a higher pop wvw server than us) the jokes about someone getting lost and being color blind occurred.

You beat us by 50k roughly… should of beaten us by 100k with the numbers advantage you had all week… hell most of our dedicated commander took most of the week off.

Challenge yourself find new ways to take an objective hit upgraded heavily defended positions to see if you can stick it out… work on small man tactics… you have such a LARGE numbers advantage this week there is no reason not to work on tactics to make yourself better over all.

No, ET would still lose. Your yadda yadda and qqqqqachoo train won’t change that fact.

Yep, last place. To a server 1.3 tiers above us and a server with Oceanic coverage that completely owns us. And yet we are gaining rating, almost as much as you are losing. So, against 2 servers you should be dominating, you are losing rating points. And both of us are gaining. I agree, we are in last place. We suck. We just don’t suck nearly as much as you do.

It has been a great match up so far, we may get rolled over more than not on DR, but these match ups are about constantly learning. So I am glad I learned about this new AC spot today. as a new commander and only having around 6 guys in the tower to defend against the huge numbers you guys put up in your 40+ man zerg. It just totally devastated us. 4 of our guys on the ground floor were down in a matter of minutes and all of the siege was destroyed by it too. So I am glad I got to see where it was hiding. I will definitely have to remember this spot for the future.

- But i got a problem, My traits are not that good, no idea whats good atm?
- Best weapon set for WvW. used to play with staff but got 1shoted by evrything that moved. (see a lot of topics about ele’s being bad )
- is it smart to spend my 300k karma on gear or what is the best way to spend it?

SpARtan is one of the sub-commanders from GOM that works for me. He does pretty well, i’ve only had to rez him once in the past week while his zerg ignored him.

ARM is definitely my favorite person on GOM, but I think youre all confused… I’ve only ever seen him play a thief, not elementalist.

Also, it seems like every time I ever see him he’s fighting 4+ people, and winning. Last time I found him on a map, we duo’d like 12 DRs in 5~ minutes before being run over by about 15 people and dieing.

Yeah that was a fun fight I remember it well. I had to spam /sit so much in those 5 minutes I nearly broke a finger.

Arguably you could say that I left out protection, but well anyone can see its effects, you don’t need calculations for that. On the contrary, it is valuable to have a model that helps measuring and evaluating what your intuition tells you but fails to describe in accuracy.

I agree that it is not easy for everyone to understand how all this is applicable in practice. That’s why you keep saying “when you have more healing power you heal more”. While it is true, this sentence has no gameplay application.
Stats are capped. So adding more somewhere means having less somewhere else. Sometimes adding healing power means having less toughness, like with Daphoenix’s new gear. In such case you do heal more, but these heals are less effective, so you heal less.
Therefore sometimes more healing power means less healing.
It is all about stats optimization.
It is all about making the right choices for what you want.

It’s unbelievable to me that so many people genuinely think this. This class if fantastic. I just switched over from Warrior a few weeks ago and I enjoy the game so much more. No classes give me trouble in PvP, and PvE is a joke so I can do whatever I want and still be successful there.

Think about it, Ele’s have been nerfed for like 5 straight months (not arguing with you there) but the class is still incredible! Doesn’t that mean Ele’s were OP and deserved the nerfs?

Most pro PvP teams still take at least 1 Ele, in most cases they take 2. Until that changes you have nothing to worry about, the class is great.

I would expect exactly this response from the casuals that PvP and PvE attract.
I’m talking about the real game, those fluff parts are not relevant.

Telling or showing him otherwise is pointless. I don’t know why pve’ers/wvw cry about ele nerfs. Hardly any of the ele nerfs exist out of spvp. I have put my ele on hold in spvp because sor was over nerfed (I don’t like glyph heal) but it wasnt touched in wvw/pve. Healing ripple and Evasive Arcana nerfs as well were just in spvp. My ele in WvW and PvE is kitten good and Im not even in ascended gear yet. Are you crying about not having 3 stun breakers? That’s just a l2p problem.

Right… No one has ever been effected in WvW by moving 4 times slower. Clearly a l2p issue for those people that can no longer outrun zergs or catch up to their targets.

It is a l2p issue if you believe we are unable to outrun a zerg as Ele. We still have a lot of mobility with rtl not getting affected by cripple or chill and the 1200 range along with fgs, swiftness and lightning flash to escape from zerg or catch up even thieves. If fgs mobility gets nerf then it will hurt all eles that are not from the norm race in term of mobility.

Sure Elementalist still need a bit of work, and yes the RTL nerf is extreme and too much. But the class is still very playable, it’s still a staple in tpvp, staff eles are MANDATORY in organized large group 15+ WvW play. DD and S/D eles can roam still especially if you pair up with a thief. Yes solo roaming took a hit, get over it or go roll a thief.

also if you seriously think S/D is weak, then sorry dude you’re just bad at it. It’s a l2p issue there. But somehow I don’t see that happening, instead of rolling another class since it’s clear you refuse to adapt and hate your elementalist you’ll waste all our time kittening about how much Anet ‘hates’ ele.

I win fights all the time, 1v1 2v1 ect. Last night my guardian friend and I won a 6v2 in WvW while doing our daily. And I stream frequently, everything from Spvp to GvG. Why don’t you watch the Xunleashed video if you demand something right now? It’s a pretty good showcase of a skilled elementalist.

Oh and go re-roll already. You’re obviously not happy with the class.

I don’t know why pve’ers/wvw cry about ele nerfs. Hardly any of the ele nerfs exist out of spvp. I have put my ele on hold in spvp because sor was over nerfed (I don’t like glyph heal) but it wasnt touched in wvw/pve. Healing ripple and Evasive Arcana nerfs as well were just in spvp. My ele in WvW and PvE is kitten good and Im not even in ascended gear yet. Are you crying about not having 3 stun breakers? That’s just a l2p problem.

Right… No one has ever been effected in WvW by moving 4 times slower. Clearly a l2p issue for those people that can no longer outrun zergs or catch up to their targets.

Please share your masterful wisdom oh yee of great PvE power. Teach us mortals how you WvW so well from divinity’s reach.

It is a l2p issue if you believe we are unable to outrun a zerg as Ele. We still have a lot of mobility with rtl not getting affected by cripple or chill and the 1200 range along with fgs, swiftness and lightning flash to escape from zerg or catch up even thieves. If fgs mobility gets nerf then it will hurt all eles that are not from the norm race in term of mobility.
