There are no T6 nodes for the materials of value, Brother Grimm. Megaserver means more chance of being in a map with lots of people to form a large group that scales up mob events, so any suggestion that Megaserver has negatively affected supply is anecdotal.

Killing mobs per minute is the best way to get T6 materials, which means either Cursed Shore zerg or WvW/EoTM big zerg battles.

The purpose of the gold to gem side of the exchange is to fund the gem to gold side of the exchange to provide a legitimate route for buying gold without introducing inflation caused by injecting new gold into the economy.

Also, the original stated purpose of the conversion system is to provide a trusted (and TOS friendly) alternative to gold sellers.

And, to make it possible to buy gem store items without ever making another dollar investment in this game after purchasing the original box, for those who want to play that way.

If the problem is the gold, sell off whatever materials you have in storage, or ask guildmates for small amounts – write it down, and be sure to pay them back.

It will give you a good reputation with your guild, and once you’ve sold the Spark, you will have a whole world of gold that will change your life.

Don’t spend it all!

Also note, in private trades, the buyer will expect a deal over just picking it up at the trading post!

I don’t think it’s just a display bug, because my karma and XP bonuses are definitely not being applied. I know exactly how much karma I usually get from finishing a renowned heart on a level 2 character. I normally get 99 karma including my 10% bonus, for the past few days I’ve only been getting 90 karma. So the magic find is most likely not working as well.

If none of the bonuses are working, I anticipate a much better chance of it being fixed because there is a demonstrable error. If it was just MF% applying, there’s little way the player could verify it.

My observation is that people complain when it’s not what they, personally,think is the way things “should” be done. Since here are millions of potential players with licensing to this game, it should not be surprising that there are a portion of the player bar who feel that the game isn’t what they want it to be.

Lewi, when you start the application process for whatever college or university you plan to go to, I recommend including economics, political science and philosophy options in your course load. Until then, more studying and less video games!

Bias doesn’t necessarily negate the value of an argument if it is factual. the amount of discussion which follows what seems like every thread regarding gold exchange or flipping places weight on the suggestion that explanations of fundamental economics in easy to follow videos will save a lot of time. Mr. Smith does, as far as I see, make many efforts to help direct the discourse.. He is already investing time into this,

As much as it may sound like a smart alec idea, if you spend time in entrepreneurial circles and visiting new product sites (ex Oculus, Leap Motion) they are quite common. Actually in the above two examples, they are far enough along in their funding cycle to afford real videos.. But that’s beside the point.

If you read through all of his posts, you may see that he has revealed a lot more about the system than the average complaint poster seems to be aware of.

Finally, this thread is not in any way about the debate as to whether there is a problem, or not. That is completely irrelevant to the scope of the suggest, if you think there is a problem, you are one of the people who the videos are intended to educate.

I’ve seen threads where accusers have clearly not read the official response on how systems like the gems:gold system works, even whe it is posted directly ahead of one of their responses in the thread.

Since reading appears to be a problem (on a forum!) I suggest that, for his own sanity, a certain staff member create a few of those “whiteboard” style auto generated animations which visually demonstrate that which he is trying to explain.

Sticky them, and put the simple “see this sticky thread” link reply post and be done with it.

Players complained about being poor without having to buy gold with real money.

Now, it is very easy to make large amounts of gold, in game, playing only the “adventure” part of it. (Ie: not being a “flipper.”)

Therefore, the incentive to spend real money on gold is reduced…. So less people feel the need to fork out real money for gold.

So, people have all this gold and want to use it to buy gem store items.

The demand is on the gold to gems side.

ArenaNET is potentially making less real dollars from the exchange platform, at this point.

Do you realize the flaw in the argument of “it’s like this so ArenaNET can make more money.” ?

First, I love Season 2, and thanks for it. My son and I played through it on day 1 and had a fabulous bonding experience

Second, I have an alt account which I bought quite a while back. At one point, I deleted the single character that I had on it, so that I could switch the account to a different server. I created a new character, but have not progressed it past Shaemoor (well, until Tuesday).

The question is: With not a single level 80 (or anywhere near) character on my account, am I got going to have the living story episode available to me, without paying, if I ever do get a character up to level 80 on that account in the future?

I left the tutorial zone to see if that made the green star appear, but alas, nothing appeared. Is “just login” enough to do it, even though I haven’t seen notice the story being available on the account?

Something that sorta helps is to have a friend (or complete stranger) join your party and ctrl-click the meat to call target on it; you’ll get the alert in the chat window and a giant red target icon above the meat, so all you need to do is focus on Chomper and try to keep him crippled as you make a run for the meat.

I am still stuck on this one because i can’t see the meat. When I do notice Strugar throwing a piece, it turns out that there are two other pieces already laying around that Chomper is more than happy to eat, instead.

Add a checkbox for “show yellow item descriptions” along with the show player, enemy, NPC, etc. text in the control panel? Please? I don’t have enough fingers to how do the ctrl key all the time, and doing so also disables some of my other commands.

Additional profession spaces per character? The first thing that came to my mind was, “new crafting professions coming soon.”

I brought in a level 20 character to enjoy the level 16 zone, and discovered that the merchant by the docks sells only Mithril and Orichalcum tools.

Is there another tool vendor on the map or is this an (un)intended oversight?

Additionally, there is Skill LOCK, which is when you cannot use your 1-5 skills anymore. This comes from picking up a banner (random chance) and can be fixed by getting yourself downed (go jump off a cliff ..)

this is not the same thing as skill lag that happens during huge wvw engagements. those happen server side.

this is not a issue related to latency at all. this is a game mechanics bug that was introduced recently. it’s only happening because the autoattack animation is taking priority over other skills. your autoattack used to, and should be interrupted if you try to execute another skill.

i just dont understand how not more people are throwing a fit over this, especially the spvp players where timing and skill responsiveness is so much more important.

My link is speaking directly to this issues. Turn off auto attack and you will not have the race condition of your button presses vs. the autoattacking 1.

I’m 6 legendaries deep, bought all my precursors and crafted each of them with earned materials. I’ve made a few TP investments that won, some that lost.. but not grinding it all day (promised myself not to after spending my life in GW1 trading in pre-searing all day LOL)

Love this game. I understand the loot concerns, but there are plenty of drops, it’s what you do with what you get that makes the difference.

Suggestion.. Schedule a time for developers to spawn Teq repeatedly for TTS to burn through, trying to recreate the bug until you have enough data to help discover how to repair it.

Have you been running out to the batteries for each of those phases? I’ve run Teq twice in the past two days and and received full credit for both events.

I was siphoned at Jofast yesterday, and when I WP’d to Shelter, the animation was there and it continued to reduce the health on my respawned self. I watched it happen to others, as well, and a few were mentioning it in my party. There were no enemies at Shelter, but Jofast had scaled up enough that it had 3 champions.

This is something I’ve never seen before, and I have spent a lot of time in Cursed Shore over the past two weeks.

For me, annoying is seeing a monthly charge on my credit card, regardless of whether I feel that the game has provided me with that value in content over the month.

With this gem store, I can buy what I want, if I want to .. and if I don’t, I know I can still play the game and enjoy it just as much.

What is it that you feel that you are missing out on by not owning all of the items in the snippets?

I loved GW1, I love GW2 and think the living story both in practice and it theory, is a fantastic way for guild wars 2 to differentiate itself.

Instead of spreading lies to try to get customers for another MMO, why not just submit your resume to ArenaNET and do something that is much more fulfilling?

I click on another tab within the TP and returned to items listed tab and it is not showing on the list. It did not sell. It was crafted along with a coat for same cost just now to help boost my Armorsmith to 500

I planned to sell eternity if I ever got bored of my two great swords.

When the patch came along, it gave me the opportunity to.

So, what did I do? I immediately equipped it before I could change my mind.. And I never feel that I made the wrong choice. All my alts with GS have eternity now

Since then I crafted Bifrost, and next will come kamo (#7). I make very few investments, save all my materials and sell in lots, and play lots and lots.

In summary, how you feel about eternity may change when you have done the crafting for real.. What will you use the money for, more ascended armor and legendaries?

I have more silk than I know what to do with.. It accumulates as a result of my salvaging almost as much as everyone’s favourite leather bits!

The price is also a fair bit lower than when ascended armor first arrived on the scene.
