I don’t use “Save Yourself!” in PvP not even in PvE because of the long CD time.
I am using Spirit Weapon Build in PvP and I hope it won’t get nerfed in future. T.T

The CD can be reduced to 48 sec and the boons duration could be anywhere from 17sec-20sec if you have the runes that increase boon duration + traits.

Lol! then the update pretty much kittened the skill specially with longer cooldown even with boon duration buffs.

Does this affects WvW save yourselves? or just PvP?

Let the temps decide if there’s no FPS gains? Check the temps with HT on/off.

You can disable it completely in the Control Panel > User Account > Change User Account Settings > Never notify(This one disable the UAC or pop-up asking for your permission to run exe).

Here are the things you could try:

1. Update windows 7 to Service Pack 1.
2. Disable UAC ( Turn it off or pick never notify , it’s in the Control Panel User Accounts settings)
3. When updating your videocard always do a clean installation and check “Perform Clean install”. Try to install the latest driver 306.97 seems stable to some and got a huge performance impact on laptops.
4. Monitor your GPU’s temperature I’ve seen temps shoot up to 80~90+. Either use MSI Afterburner to set your fan to about 60~70% all the time while playing.

Kindly attach your dxdiag so we can check your Computer specs.

Things you can try:

1. Update to Service Pack 1.
2. Go to control Panel → Power option → Set to High Perf
3. Go to Nvidia Control Panel → Check for Manage 3D settings→ Power Management → set to preferred Maximum perf.

Your email might be compromised. It’s best to change everything even the secret question or add additional authentication when logging in your email (Check gmail dual auth)

I wouldn’t worry about L2/L3 cache afaik it’s the CPU architecture that matters. Just check any forum if you’re only into gaming and on a budget everyone would tell to get i5 3570/3570k + z77 board.

Well tested on mine original was set for LAA and it’s already set to LAA as well.

The samsung 830 would be a fine choice. Yeah if you really need a gaming rig I would suggest invest on a desktop.

Core™ i5 + GW2 = Not so good.

i5’s are nice, but when you run this game on an i7 there’s a huge difference. i5’s are basically good CPUs but meant more for a budget system. (a lot of people think they’re super-high end CPUs because they came out ‘after’ the i7’s, which is untrue.

If your motherboard and wallet support it, switch over to an i7.

ArenaNET says the game is no longer CPU bound, but that is not entirely true — it still relies heavily on the CPU, just not as much. Video cards do in fact get to work more now that the game has been released, but a nice CPU will make this game run a LOT smoother.

I think you should never generalize i5. An i5 3570/3570k would be able to run gw2 on high settings just pair it with a decent gpu card.

Btw that area only? can you attach your dxdiag or game advisor text file?

Have you tried turning down shadows,shaders and reflections?

Also try to disable UAC then run gw2setup.exe again.

There’s no speed indication. Anyway test with HD Pro (trial) or AS SSD (http://downloads.guru3d.com/AS-SSD-Benchmark-download-2569.html). Loading times should jump tremendously vs normal 7200 rpm drives.

Yeah my bad. You can try running HD test or Crystal Disk test if you’re getting atleast half the speed.

Afaik the sata port is really kittening your SSD at best it should be atleast SATA II or SATA 3.

Suggestion ,copy the gw2 folder from the old pc to your new pc so you don’t need to download everything.

Afaik the NPC will still see the 180 tokens.

Suggestion, can we have at least a default monitoring tool perhaps? so data gathered would be consistent? I’m still at work will post later (7hr+).

Monitoring Tools (kindly pick or put a suggestion which tool) :

FPS – Probably Fraps or MSI afterburner?
Temps – Real Temp or other?
CPU/GPU usage – Hwinfo?

Try running on stock? seems you have an overclocked CPU.

Sorry to hear that you still haven’t resolved your problem. Anyway do you have a spare video card or machine to test gw2? Also did you change the stock Power supply ?

Getting 75++ per tick when using #4 staff skill. (650 healing power). It’s powerful with shout build (plus 20% redux on cooldown.)

For SSD Crucial M4, Samsung 830 or OCZ Verterx 4.

Probably 30mins if you know what mobs to skip and not dying a lot.

^- Nice name lol. Anyway it’s best to check every boss for the dungeon and not just graveyard rush them or zerg them around. Sometimes its best to stop and talk about strategy and who’s going to pull mobs/cc etc.

2nd boss right? We did that on our first try then we saw that the spider nightmares when you kill them off they spawn poison cloud so what we did we focus on the boss instead and keep running around to kite him. Single target spells/skills helps too.

You can keep the 10% mf buff all the time just as long you queue it before it runs out.

The arenanet.log files are logs for crashes. You won’t see them if you don’t get any GW2 related crashes.

The GuildWars2.txt file can be found on your desktop. It seems it’s the default file destination. You can also attach that file here so others can check your Computer specs and connection (You can delete some personal info if you want).
