Create a shortcut of gw2.exe then right click on it
^— Nice system ( Btw the linking in the forum seems broken if its too long might need to copy paste it.)
Systemrequirementlabs? most of the time it’s not accurate. I think the game loves raw power Ghz specially intel variety CPUs.
Have you tried disabling shadows/reflections/shaders and post processing?
As for a desktop an i3/i5 Cpu + z75 board + 550 ti + 4gb ddr3 could run the game on medium settings.
Would also suggest try to limit the fps ingame (30/60) and not set it to unlimited.
If you’re only looking to game I would suggest get an i5 3570k , z77 motherboard (asus,gigabyte or msi)+ 8GB RAM + 128 GB SSD ( OS + Games) + 660 ti + 1TB HD( for other stuffs / optional ).
well, i can go up to 1000 euro’s in total
but would need memory + mainboard also so in total CPU + Mainboard + ram + GPU… what would be suggested then? 8GB DDR3 would be enough for now but in the future i want 16GB since I work with some heavy development programs for software, audio & recording, webdesign, et cetera. Sometimes I run 6 – 7 programs, 3D software or heavy rendering software so thats why I would like to upgrade to 16GB Ram in the future.
So aprocimately… RAM 100 euro’s, CPU 250 euro’s, mainboard 150 euro’s, then a GPU for 300-500 euro’s, but which one?
still GTX660Ti and then overclock the CPU and GPU a little?
If that pc you’re building is for work and play I suggest skip i5 and go i7 specially if you’re into heavy dev programs. 16GB/32GB would benefit your work well.

in 30 minutes I got 3% -____________-
Chill out. A friend of mine downloaded the whole game for 2 days that’s with 170kbps download speed (That is why I’m asking what is your download speed). Now if you have a friend who has a gw2 installed nearby just copy his gw2 folder and save it to an external drive.
Is there an ArenaNet.txt file in your Documents\Guildwars 2 folder? What crash btw? Whole cpu crash or just guildwars 2 not responding?
Your download speed? Remember gw2 is almost 17gb+ in size.
Are you running any background programs (IMs,fraps, vents etc) as well? Try to disable any programs non – essential and see if it helps too. You can also look at windows error logs (Control Panel → Admin Tools → Event Viewer → Windows – System logs → Filter logs to Critical /Errors.)

Stay below 90C. Try also setting up the fan to 60-70%. If there’s also dust building up inside your case and gpu try cleaning it as well either dusting if off or by compressed air canister.
You can try tweaking – Shadows,Reflections, Shaders and Post processing. Try disabling them or setting them in Low see if it helps as well.

You can set it to best perf then adjust each setting one at a time. Also try to limit the Fps to 60 or 30 (Shouldn’t be Unlimited)
Have you tried limiting your FPS ingame ? Setting it to 60 or 30?
Can you attach your dxdiag? or game advisor txt file perhaps?

The white dots/artifacts might be due to overheating you can monitor your graphic card temps. Also try to limit your ingame FPS to 60 or 30 see if it helps.
Have you tried setting your region in the US? ( Control Panel → Regions)

When you change vids did you perform a clean install? Last time I know the command line fixed the error.
While the event needs to be reworked be sure to report those botters.
Agreed!. Think they still need to fix the AI for those monster as well
afaik 30mins and 1hour for rich veins.

I got good coolermaster cooler, should i boot into bios and overclock mine to 4ghz?
You got a non-k version then overclocking is limited. See if turning down shadows, reflections and post processing a notch down helps.
Temp solution : Copy the GW2 folder from him? see if the game runs on your end.
I think there’s a PvP locker room in the Mist you might want to check that out forgot which side though.

Have you tried limiting your frame rate to 30 or 60 ? Don’t pick unlimited.
No, the crashes I have, my screen freezes and I have to manually shut off. It has been happening since I put together my computer a little over a year ago. From what I can tell it is the hard drive. I am thinking about buying a whole new hard drive and replacing the one I have. My friend was having the same trouble and he built a very similar PC and that seems to resolve the problem for him. So it doesn’t have to do anything GW2.
Probably some hardware issue You can run checkdisk (Open command prompt on admin priviledge type chkdsk /r then press enter)
1. They respawn every 30mins (for ores last time I checked) and an hour to every rich nodes.
2. Mostly check gw2db and guildhead for recipes then sort the list by level.
3 & 4 check http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/64363-legendary-weapons-guide/
Think the crafting mats for legendary are account bound so you could transfer it to other characters by bank.
It’s in the next tab?
crash as in Blue screen then restarted ?
[EDIT: 6.9.]
After a lot of testing in different areas, I came to the conclusion that the camera input lag is tied to the game performance. In the Hall Of Monuments, where I can push 60 fps on any settings, the game does not feature input lag. The problems defined later on are still present, but the camera responds instantly if using vsync with a framerate cap, or if not using vsync at all.
That would suggest that the mouse input processing has lower priority than other processes at the time, which would also explain the unexpected lockups and variable speed. If you take into consideration the big FPS drops the game currently has when turning the camera, it’s probably an optimization issue.
The OP there edited the post. Like he said it may be optimization issue. Probably games engine or camera itself.

Can you attach your dxdiag perhaps? or is there gw2 crash log in your Documents\Guild Wars 2 folder?
Side note : There’s also a non-ti version 660GTX slightly slower hovers around $230.
If it is just downloading what I am missing then why isn’t the file it is downloading too getting any bigger? And it should have been over hours ago, if it was only the last 10% or so before my computer crashed. And it is not just the percent the files remaining are much higher then they should be.
There should be another gw2.tmp file or something did the file remaining change btw when you restarted the download? then close it again?
I started downloading it around 1am last night, was taking awhile, don’t quite remember the speed but not very fast none the less. So I let it go overnight, woke up and it was at 44% complete. As the day went on it started to go faster though. At about 4pm was in the low 90%‘s. All of a sudden my computer crashes, which I don’t think was GW2 I have had problems with this for awhile now. But so I restart, open GW2 back up and it starts the download from the beginning. At first I thought it would kinda catch back and start back where I left off. But from further inspection, the gw2.dat file hasn’t gotten any larger or changed at all from what I see. It is at 13,650,379 KB. The download of GW2 is at 24% now with 162,877 files remaining. My only guess is that it is re-downloading everything I have so far over again. It has been going for the past 5 hours. Is there anyway to start back from where I left off before, or am I going to have to re-download everything again?
It’s just downloading what’s missing you don’t have to worry about the %.
Can you attach the whole log? or even your dxdiag txt file?
Btw Can I see your build? :P wanted to try out mesmer
installing a new processor and a motherboard…. is this something I can do by myself with a youtube video? or should I go find a tech savy friend?
If you can find a friend who can why not? and then ask him if he can teach you.
Btw what does the commandline isrelaunch do? Have you tried to limit your frame rate either 30/60?

First to try go to Windows Power option and Pick High perf Mode then click on advance there’s a setting for USB (Selective settings) disable it. Try also to limit your frame rate ingame to 60 (From option)
Last would be if above fails check for motherboard chipset updates.
Hope that helps.
to CBUZZ.5083. what program do u use in your video??so u can see gpu usage and fps in the top left corner.would be a nice way to check how my crossfire work during playing
MSI Afterburner?
I helped my friend yesterday (lvl 18) got 76 jute/hour without even trying to get it. Because I don’t need it.
Problem is not cloth/ore. Fine(blue) mats are. Venom sacks, blood, fangs etc.
The only problematic cloth is Gossamer.
Tier 5 Bloods,Fangs and Large Bones can be found in Frostgorge Mobs.
Venoms are plenty in orr specially grubs. You must have atleast 50+mf to get most of it.
Recently my brother mentioned to me Guild Wars 2 came out, and having been a busy time in my life lately I had completely forgotten. At any rate, I checked the specs and was slightly worried, but I figured I was above the minimum and should be able to run the game decently at low settings. Specs below
Windows 7 Professional 32-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (2.13GHz)
Nvidia GTX260 Factory OC’d
4GB RAMYes, I know I am going to get a lot of “Lol, your PC’s a joke, upgrade fool” and while I would love to, I just graduated from college and do not have the funds to buy a new computer (which I would have to do). Now, I have read a lot of people even with very good PC’s are getting bad FPS, which gives me some hope, but even if they fix the issues am I still screwed? I get no more than 20FPS pretty much all the time. I didn’t expect/want the game to be pretty, but even with everything on low/off, and the lowest resolution, it still runs terribly. Diablo 3 and Skyrim run fine, as does WoW on max settings, but I realize this is more CPU intensive.
At any rate, figured I’d see if I wasted my $50, I was hoping to play with my brother but maybe I’ll have to wait until I can get a new PC.
You’re not screwed. If you can overclock the CPU to 2.66ghz – 3ghz should be fine at most. I also have old dual core(e6300 overclocked to 2.6ghz – stock fan lol ) + 560ti (1920 × 1080 reso) I just click best performance and removed shadows and post processing set the subsample to native and getting 25-35 fps in PvE , 20ish in Large cities and 5 fps in WvW Large fights.
Was this your PSU?
If your motherboard says rev.1 then you can check the CPU list here http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3455#
if you’re dying for an upgrade you might want to check i5 35xx(pick 3570k if you’re overclocking) and z75 or z77 boards.
Guys like I said it’s a known issue https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Camera-control-issues-a-documented-list/first
If you want to have a smooth game play then turn off shadows/shaders in the mean time.

So the cpu is stock? seems everything is ok but probably you got an outdated motherboard chipset driver see if that helps when you upgrade it. See your motherboard manufacturer website and check if there’s a “Chipset” update or perhaps some bios updates.
wow thanx for the quick replies!
how do I find out what my power supply is?
will I need to re-install windows 7 and all that if I upgrade my processor? or is that my motherboard? lol still confused.
I see memory like the CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB ….. would that be good to add to my current rig? or should my current 4gb be fine?
You need to open up the case and see it. Afaik you dont need to reformat. The memory is good but you have to see what motherboard you have you can check it with either cpu-z or hwinfo.
Yea, I’m running 32-Bit W7.
GTX 470
“Approx Total Mem – 2641 MB” – Taken from DXDiag
It’s the OS and known limitation. Was posted way back in beta that high res won’t work in 32bit OS.
That’s too bad. Thanks for the response
Afaik you can still use your win 7 32bit serial to win 7 64bit you just need to download the installer.
Got that one from Iron Marches – Flame Legion mobs.

Bump….
Also I might add that when this is happening I am using Teamspeak to communicate with my friends in game but the sound only drops out while playing, never outside the game
Can you attach your dxdiag as well? As have you installed the usb driver for the headset and updated the chipset of your motherboard perhaps?
Ill do that, but i am at work right now, so i can post the info in a few hours
Also the Razer Megalodon does not have driver software that needs to be installed and yes the motherboard drivers are installed
Also are you running any overclocks? forgot to ask what PSU brand as well.
Mf equips and food buffs really helps.
