i have these 2 suggestion:

1 when you click on a link in this forum it will redirect to the page, wouldn’t be better if clicking open it in a different page? so we can skip the right click open in a new tab thing? just lazy i know, but in every other forum this is normal.

2 for illusion managing, since can become messy during de with lots of player and mobs and every other mesmer, can we have different dots for illusions and phantasm?
right now when i see my 3 dots sometimes i don’t know if they are illusions or phantasm, how many phantasm or how many illusions. i just have to look for them. i mostly use a staff so there is no point in shatter and i think there is no point in more than 1 phantasm when the illusions do conditions with every hit…

what if you want 2 legendaries than, you can only have 1 weapon for the personal story and you can’t repeat your personal story unless you play another alt, and what if you want a legendary for that alt too?

so no, no personal story precursor, it must be a drop and a repeatable scavenger hunt (at least 4 times per character).

welcome to the world of staff users, unless you are a necro you’ll find very few staffs that suits you. that’s my opinion btw.
there are some nice staffs anyway, i personally like bifrost, final rest, the staff from twilight arbor, imryldeen. though none of this but bifrost have fx.
you have a point, in all the recipes you can craft with eldritch scroll there are only 2 staffs that can be crafted one of which requires halloween mats…

as per the daggers ther is the jormag needles, but honestly i don’t know better since i never cared about daggers

i would prefer the gift remains what they are, however a quest for precursor would be finally due.

about the doppleganger, it would do, but is a little overused wherever, even vampire diaries is abusing this…
although fighting the legendary itself (even if also this solution isn’t that original)… for example bifrost could spam the skills of all staff users…

i’m frustrated at precursor too, no matter what i do in this game, how many hours i played, how many events, dungeon, dragons everything i have done on almost 2k hours of gameplay, the game decided i don’t deserve one.

to whoever says you don’t need a legendary to play, that is a lame excuse, i want it never the less, but apparently i don’t deserve it

there is also a line you can ask to the npc near the fractal portal in the room where consortium is based in LA (POI is called consortium gift shop), you can ask her:
“so you are a rival of the black lion trading company?”
“i wouldn’t say rival, but yes. we believe competition among vendors is good for the customer. we’re going to put our product out there and let the market decide”

it is still the best mmo that i have ever played before but gw1.
the shared nodes and exp and personal reward is a deal for me. no more grieving (or at least that kind of grieving, unfortunatelly players are smart enough to find new ways to grieve you anyway).

that said sorry if i go off topic and talk about tank, but my warrior guild mate is a tanker and he could tank lupicus, just not in the traditional way of standing still, hold aggro during all the fight and just waiting for heals… and i must say that the same boss is easier when he is around.

i’m a condition mesmer most of the time and while the fight gets longer the condition damage take over in time making the battle easier for anyone, and nobody ever told me, run berserker or get out

i like what they did with southsun this patch, achievement give you price, mobs gives you loot in shape of rares or money based on what boost you chose.
if all the zone world would like this…
why can’t we have nice things and more titles with achievements along with gold economy?

the thing that bothers me is: why?
i farm ascended gear so i can go deep in a dungeon that is always the same but add a cheap difficulty by increasing mobs hp and damage and a new condition called agony?
and i farm it so it can get even more difficult? why?
what’s the reward in doing any level of fractal?

don’t get me wrong, i still like it and since i don’t want to buy/drop too much ascended i set myself on celestial stat, so i can still change build if i wish so, fractal dungeon has good loot and nice mechanics, but i’m getting tired of the same istances over and over again for no reason.

if they can answer my question at why should i run high level fractals than an ascended armor (maybe with celestial stats) would do, but until than it’s not only pointless, but what will happen to runes and sigils? jewels orb already dropped in price so much that gems are worth less than salvageable items during those monthly salvage achievement (but the ruby for the obvious reason that everybody likes big number and run berserker builds).

another reason i would say no to ascended armor is because they are messed up only for the sake of agony slots. i have to give up stats for agony resistance, look at the new backpack for example, these new backpack they added are nice, but as a matter of fact less effective than any exotic backpack with an upgrade in it. if you ascend them they don’t get better because they will always have 3 stats instead of 6…
also there is a lack of celestial stats on backpack (this is the reason i still don’t have one, i don’t want to choose and than farm 250 stack of any tier6 mats in case i change my mind).

so unless they do this in a less chaotic way, with no new currency, with no alt unfriendly time consuming way of get them, i would say no.

i will always say yes to more skins or maybe legendary armor

yes i agree and than see video of people so good at targeting everything and rotating camera so hard that i don’t understand what’s wrong with me

that would be the point to have the mini, i think it’s annoying after a while to just summon it everytime!!

oh and i love also the emotes suggested, i’m +1 to this

maybe add quests available only when you are at a certain level of achievement point?
the one that kick the quest can invite to it his party with or without enough points. you can do it once a week no matter if it fails or not.
only the one who kick the quest get the awesome rewards, the helper get money, karma, rich loot, whatever else (suggesting this in case the reward is a precursor).
or maybe achievement points can give you gems so you can finally buy some bank slot or bag slot for free, with no gold or real money. nice awards for dedicated players

i’m sorry, i hate the idea that players that are already rich in the game can get something that i won’t because i don’t have enough money before the limited number of houses is capped.
no matter how many hours or gems a person can have everybody should be able to get it

Feel the same way. The other day someone was setting up a bounty run, I asked over and over and whispered people and they started without me no indication of where to go or anything. Yeah thanks for that.

What’s sad is this is the only way to get cosmetics from the game other then spending money.

guild bounties last very few minutes, if we start writing to everyone whispering become impossible to complete, you could just press g and see for yourself which bounty you have to search in which map, or even check where all your guildies are…

the dungons are easy only because people skip all skippable and don’t fight anything, because when they do, they realize (and i agree with twilight arbor, but never tried caudecus manor) the mobs are overpowered, a pack of wolves in twilight arbor can wipe a group of full lv 80s in a dungeon for lv 50s… considering also the blossoming spamming poison every now and than.
but still people claim it’s easy because they fight only bosses with huge amount of hp.

can you imagine arah done it properly with all the killing of endless mobs, spiders and giant even?
you wouldn’t tell it easy!

i like the fact that world changes and there are temporal events, something should be left back though, not only the story of how it’s changed…
now, shouldn’t we see somewhere some remnants of the molten alliance? shouldn’t we discover some nodes in some specific deep cave with nodes where you could dig azurite?
the molten facility has been shutted down, so we can’t go back there, but at least mobs should stay.

karka event did this, the ancient karka is gone for good (or so we are supposed to believe) but the ma kitten till there… now changed and improved… and why can’t i get a speedo to tan my self on the beach?

so yes, i know that at one point in my gameplay i’m gonna miss something, but i like the changing evolving world, and fortunately it doesn’t change in a day like happened with karka, they are giving us plenty of time (so much people complained on how slow paced the story arc was) to enjoy new content with no much time to put in it (people managed to finish all the achievement the first day with both the backpack awarded)

i wish same fate will happen to you someday, where there will never be a place where you can actually achieve something different than preaching, or an organization that actually can do something about it.

also some people may be compelled to get more cofpath1 tokens and convert them to arah… i would totally do it, since every day any moment you can find a group for cofpath1 while you have to suffer for arahwhatever

yeah i’m sorry you actually have a point, the only reason i said that is because i noticed at first only the stats, than it occured to me there was a different infusion slot (never payed attention to infusion until i had to, getting higher in fractals)

so you didn’t even have a suspect that there would be a reason for having multiple items with the same stats in an equipment slots that doesn’t show any skins?

they added this because every single day everyone cryed out loud how mesmers and thieves are so overpowered they should shut down them from the memory of the game (i really think most of them never played a mesmer or a thief in wvwvw, or even worse they died as mesmers and thieves quite a lot and they don’t want you to be better)

also whatever commander writes in the map can be seen by all his/her squad.
very useful besides when you do guild mission with allied guild so it’s easier to spot people.
also useful since you can have squad chat and can be extended to people not in guild avoiding useless spam in map chat, useful also because party are only for 5 players and you can’t see guildies dots on map, but at least you can see your commander.

i am not a commander myself (one of my officer is), but i think that people not commanding complaining about active commanders in pve are just jealous because they couldn’t yet buy the title for themselves and rant about them showing off they have money instead of reasons to have the icon active.

last but not least insulting adults it’s not outsmarting them, it’s just insulting!

in game, just press O and you find the ingame shop and the auction house

wouldn’t be much easier if they added an ingame chat system like in lotro or ddo at least for party?
the shy players wouldn’t be forced to talk but at least we don’t have to type to reply or just explain a dungeon mechanic, especially in some dungeon…

that said huge guild have this problem, we are a tiny one, i played with most of my guildies and if someone engage in a conversation unless we are doing content where you can’t stop we usually answer…
still teamspeak is a best socializing feature in my opinion, since i use it it changed my gaming experience and started some nice friendship

i agree, people should buy it outright, or they should be added as reward in the game, maybe would be nice to have one ticket for completing the achievement so we at least get to chose 1 skin and than the rest we get via gems… but rng lottery… at least this time you can loot it from mobs.
but you need 365% magic find to have one and be disappointed.

they should also review the loot table of chests… the molten facility backpack is a perfect example of it.
we are what, millions of players? only 23 jetpack are available for sell on tp, and i don’t see it equipped in all my server…

that said btw, i loved the new back skins everyone can have, i’m really pleased about it.
there should be more rewards like that, and i’m pleased for a change they are not weapon skins but finally new armor pieces and we all know back pieces needed it the most

back to halloween and karka events we had question marks on content not yet released. why not now?

you don’t support the game if you use gold to buy gems instead of real money…

and in my server no one ever run balthazar, so i guested to buy my obsidian shards. anyway, you will not be able to kill lyssa on your own, even if you complete the farmed event you still need a group to kill the priestess, so if you are not there alone, just destroy the walls and get over it. no one in that event can prevent you from nothing, you are not supposed to do it alone anyway, so if no one else want to kill the priestess you like me with balthazar temple always closed just guest somewhere else.
if that event will be nerfed for farming and even increased more in difficulty the only result will be that you will never see anyone there anymore.

i can understand you if people failed the event on purpose like they used to do with temple of grenth just for farming, but the farming on union waypoint is not preventing anyone from anything.

people who say that transmutation crystal can be aquired through normal gameplay are wrong, it was once possible to have those stones from dailies, map completion, black lion’s chest and gems, now they can be purchased only with gold to gems, real money to gems or black lion’s chest.

btw, we all are in the same boat, gems are used by character that want their exotic look like skins from early levels and people that want their exotic stats on other high level armors…

and since everyone in this game transmute armors and weapons they figured that the best way to get money is to make us by the stones that once were free to find pretty much everywhere.

i feel sorry to all new players that couldn’t collect and save their transmutation stones.

the language filter is on by default, so being a newbie is not an excuse.

almost 2k hours of play and never found any precursor nor i am near to buy one since i spent gold for materials.

and there is not a day that i’m killing bosses.
from time to time i also toss rare and exotic staffs into the mystic punisher to have yet another chance to be mocked by the rng.

for example last time i had 6 attempt at zommoros good will and had back 2 exotic, than i tossed 4 exotic and i had back not even a named one, i hade one of the craftable staff… so much for the money i could have earn (for nothing since no price of precursor is within range of money earning in this game).

i collected for the gift of color 250 unidentified dyes, most of witch were presents from guildies (one of them could find 3, 4, 5 a days, while i could find 1 farming same event).

i’m up for a bit of random luck and it’s amazing when it hits you, but there is a moment where time spent should be rewarded. make me buy with laurels everysingle item i didn’t have the chance to loot out of somewhere because i’m not rng blessed?

edit: i like the solution you posted, but i see a major flaw in it. people already focus in the one time event enough time to make form group for other events a little difficult (when they are not busy chasing dragons). if they know they can get the chance to have the special item at 100% chance, they would run only that event until they get it…
or at least i would do it

there is a double standard in this game indeed, i propose a solution for both male and female, what about a tampax armor set, is that skimpy enough?

i find it funny that you cannot send a message to the whole guild but you can’t send more than 2 mail per minutes.
i find it funny that you can’t directly trade with other players but if you want to send them potions via mail to make a dungeon run easier you can’t send more than 2 mails per minute.
i find it funny that pit fighter exotic armor is heavy while some light armor are bulkier.
i find it funny when you put 4 rare weapon of the same type in the mystic forge and you get back a rare spear.
i find it funny that after 7 months of hardcore playing i have not more money that i can spend and neither the shadow of a precursor, unless i hardcore farm.
i find it funny that condition builds take months to kill pink moa.

i don’t know why they decided that a rank would be necessary.
i hate to compete for something, especially if competition can’t be fair. achievement competition cannot be fair since dailies give achievement and there will always be people who complete them all and people who can’t. people who doesn’t play pvp or wvwv or people who hate pve.
there will be people that buy the game today that have no means to start the competition at all…

don’t we have already arena to compete (also messing professions with not wanted nerf btw)?

i don’t remember if in gw1 there was an achievement rank, but you get the achievement to have nice titles. or even some skill.

now we get the achievement for what? a rank that will never change unless the top ten players dies or change game?

i like it too, at least you know it is a different damage and appreciate retaliation even more, like confusion… the condition damage already appears differently from direct damage so it doesn’t need any icon

you know what? i agree, i don’t play elementalist outside of world bosses event because for me it is impossible compared to a mesmer, and the lame excuse they have so many skill so they don’t deserve a weapon swa kitten tupid, they have so many skill, true, but staff in close combat it’s too slow to be good and dagger in ranged combat hardly help you to fill the gap… and when you get close you die, because someone decided that mages have to be always low health for no reason and they cannot wear real armor for even less reasons

armor has different defense stat, if we could use it as skins they could keep the correct defense stat, but be worn by different class.

the skill logan uses can be used by any guardian with a shield, it heals and push back enemies… also braham from living story uses it quite a lot (braham is a better guardian than logan will ever be)

for the rest. i like what op suggested

there is also a jet pack in the end as reward, or even mini pets

edit: they are random from the final boss chest

i now it’s a living story, but also the personal one is supposed to be living and in the end orr stay perfectly the same, we kill thousands of jormags and zhaitan a days, we kill mobs in cof even more a day but the dungeon still stays there and story in it is completely frozed and same all the time… so why this particular one not?

btw, temporary or not, this is the kind of dungeon i like to play, not the skip and repeat until you are numb or the skip this unless you want to stay in this dungeon for ever
