there is also the lotro option. you can show what you wear, or you can show outfits over the armor you are wearing.

i wish they could add to the current system, some tab in the hero panel only for outfits, like town clothes but they will still have your main gear stats, even better if you could chose to activate the stats of the outfit instead of the one in your main gear tab.

weren’t we complaining until some days ago that maps where empty? i only have 2 lv 80, but isn’t it an effort to have multiple lv 80 toon? why bother if i only need to play one to have loot?

dredge… and we were doing the lv 10 daily…

unfortunately 1 of our players had to go, we found replacement and a second player had to go too.

we did the dredge in 4. but the elemental was too much time consuming and in the end we gave up. we’ll try better luck another time, not a real problem, we had loot and all the rest, but…
maybe i would suggest to consider the idea to revamp some fights…

why all this sigil to break in the cliffside? wouldn’t be fast if you manage to hit the seal just once? or maybe have less seal to break?

the dredge dungeon is already long and difficult. does the boss really need to heal? would not be better invulnerable or a 1 time heal?
does it need to hit the one who is running for the lava busckets with AoE?
this fight is already eternal when you manage to hit the boos with lava at all stations… why does he need to heal or hit everywhere? does it really need to have veteran that spawns each time with no at least one or two minutes without them?

yes, in fact now in order to complete your daily you have to posses the toon of another player and go in another mmo map. let’s face the truth, no one can really complete it because you know i had to do events before, now instead i have to do events, i had to gather before, and now instead i have to gather. i had to kill before, and now instead i have to kill… impossible, really! /sarcasm

every daily can be done in every zone even now, this is the all point of daily revamp actually. make it doable wherever to have players scattered in all maps.

and old daily were all done in frostgorge sound, or maybe orr for ori nodes and ancient sapling btw. or you prefered chop trees in queensdale?

i really don’t like the idea of dodging or block an impossible boss for ever to get a precursor. i would rather have it by rng than this.
also the scavenger hunt is a nice idea, but it should be so random that we should not be able to visit some website with a perfect tutorial to guide us through it (still i would prefer the rng that a clueless scavenger hunt).

as much as i want my precursor, the thing i see from a scavenger hunt is: there will be a time where every single character in the game have a dark sword, a raibow footstep or a rainbow projectile.
or a gated content for people who cannot fight a super uber boss alone, i already hate the fact i have to collect 500 arah token, that i heavily depend on others in order to achieve.
knowledge of the game and time in the game should be awarded, not only the perfect dodge or the perfect fight

i played an elementalist and i don’t see this much versatility.
it is either range with burning, range with healing, range with mobility, range with bleeding or as above but melee.
the other profession get to chose when to use what and basically can do same things (burning, mobility, healing, bleeding) just in different ways.

any how they already swap weapons out of combat, so why should the number of their skill be an issue?

only food i use is magic find related. and i survived a lot of things.
but maybe would be nice just to have food buffs out of wvw (where according to me there was a real issue, like with spykits. and pve food buffs just stay the same.

The only way illusions or clones will spawn on top of a keep is if the player being attacked is stood right on the edge of the wall on top of the “lip”, that is because our attacks are based on line of sight and are spawned on a target. Clones spawned next to a Mesmer will not run up the side of a keep on top of walls like ranger pets were doing so.
We are at no more of an advantage than you are, if the enemy is standing on the wall behind the raised lip, our clones/illusions/attacks in general will not hit due to line of sight.

i will add that obstructed target make impossible for us to spawn clones. when you see a clone over there is because we actually are hitting someting, we cannot chose the spawn locations…

if you cannot i had a key to snapshot right away, never managed to be that effective but next time i’ll catch some of those bots to report

well, you can open only a chest for the same event in a day, so it’s useless to kill tequatl twice. once the popular one are done, you’ll see the less popular done. or maybe people will actually do something else.

fractals doesn’t count because there are a lot of players that swore to the god of dungeon to never run it (probably they do it in secret with guilty feelings /sarcasm), they have their own achievement btw.

all other dungeon counts, so should the story mode. i completed my achievement with some story mode.
so probably you had some bug in AC, which is strange and you can submit a ticket about it i think.

there have been some issue with achievement and they patched those just with this last patch.

i’m happy we finally know where to find one, i cannot wait till i get my chances.

now, what will be the next scavenger hunt?

Have you even read what the issues are all about… doooh the players want change, they want new shiny content.. but many of us want to be able to sample all those changes, those nice things we scream for… not feel or be excluded from it….

nobody is escluded from something that is in open world and don’t even require to be in a guild to participate and get the personal reward that probably is the shiny new currency to buy the ascended earrings.

i think that probably people are complaining because in the new patch they weren’t provided with a mail with a pair of ascended earrings for free with all stats just to begin with the right step, a legendary precursor, and a new trait tree in his own profession that granted immortality and uber power in pve, spvp, tpvp, wvwvw.

if any of you have trouble to join a guild mission because their own guild cannot unlock the missions yet, you are welcome to participate in ours (when they will be ready for start) while earning the influence for your own guild to launch your own mission.

an ability that seems to be very missed in this forum…. they don’t even had the chance to play the new patch but they were already complaining when the guild mission had been announced. instead of being excited they forsaw the end of the world

I had been playing other games and only came back to gw2 in the last week or so, last night was the first time the daily dodge requirement came up for me (that i noticed anyway) and I thought it was terrible. Was fighting a vet wurm that was shooting boulders at me and dodging them added nothing to the score. I ended up going to wiki for help which advised me the best way to get it was to run into a zerg in wvw or orr and dodge randomly into it.

you have to wait the very last moment, when you see the “evade” text pop out of your dodge you get the score. actually dodging wurms make you score twice. with some practice it become very easy

i see lot of people complaining about being “forced” or “compelled to go out of their way” to do something they wouldn’t in order to complete dailies…
so the question: what the hell do you do in the game when you don’t dodge, you don’t craft, you don’t visit a major city, you don’t gather, you don’t kill mobs, vets, fishes, you don’t heal, you don’t run dungeons, you don’t complete events, you don’t ever and ever change map to kill something different do something different?

come on guys, now seeing a laurel vendor is a problem? nobody coming back to cities to sell or do other stuff?
please, i can’t stand no more the daily whiner, they find stupid excuse to complain all the time, old dailies where pretty much similar to this but they were fine, now every now and then we see in the forum the unbeatable people who can’t dodge anything because they never get target (have you ever been everywhere in this game a minute alone?).
i can complete the dailies with each character i have, even with the ranger, but tell them how to do it it’s completely worthless, they will try to climb mirrors to have a point that is a problem only for them. they cannot simply do and get over it, no they have to complain and claim laurel reward to.

if you can’t stand to dodge, heal, kill thinks under or above water, if you think that crafting 10 bolt of jutes or ingots or leather or whatever is a waste of money, just stop doing the dailies and shut up.
(how can refine mats be a waste of money since you can earn more by refining i will never understand… god, i’ve so much thick leather i craft entire sets of epaulets just to waste them).
if you want do the daily so bad because of the prize, do it and stop finding lame excuse for a cheap complain in the forum.

i know i’m harsh but it’s very annoying to see people complain for every stupid think they can use their finger to complain about!

in the end to the original OP, how being hit is a dodge in your daily? usually people get dodge achievement for daily not being hit…

we already use the invisible/special bags offered by the game, this though won’t change the fact that weapon swapping out of combat is a real pain sometimes.
so i would suggest a weapon swap for all profession and a consumable hotbar, why put consumable in the game and then using those it’s so messy.
don’t get me wrong i have a very well ordered invisible bag, i can change armor and eat omnomberry bar with closed eye, and that is what i do given the dimension any panel in this game has.

that said pointing out how many skills engi or ele have when the request is an out of combat weapon swap is stupid and boring already. just stop it please doesn’t make any sense. we all can swap out of combat, this would only make it easy

mesmer of course, kinda tired of living my life without any teleportation skill already.
also clones are useful to clean house (but should i target someone to create clones in real life too?)

i liked the idea in gw1, it took me busy, but i would like also dungeon books, personal story books and so on, i would like to turn those for skins, or weapons or something else than the usual exp, karma, coins (this already happen when you complete the events).
(for dungeon it is also a nice track of your progress since i forgot which path i did where)

i wouldn’t mind a server reduction. i know i play in a medium populated server that once was high populated. and i know that in wvwv we can win only when we fight with similar number populated server… tired of being outmanned

and the rune of divinity

also a send mail to all guild feature would be nice, especially with guild missions coming could be very useful for reminders

hi, i have 2 questions about those superior runes.
superior rune of divinity: do they add also magic find? like +60%? my guess is not. but maybe someone knows better.

superior rune of undead: does the 6th ability (+5% toughness become condition damage) stack with traits like mesmer toughness trait that do the same thing (so the total would be +10% toughness become condition damage)?

i also wonder, why should i need it at level 80? the world is full of skill points and i get levels fast enough to earn a great amount of them without a way to spend them…

when i don’t see team appear and disappear at nodes or with funny names but they do act like bots i simply ask them: are you bots?
if they answer i assume they are not.

i stack them in the guild bank so when someone drop or obtain a key through map completion or story rewards can open one or more easily

1 laurel at a day and 10 for the monthly.
this is the only way until now, there is no laurel reward for pvp daily or pvp monthly.
they said they were introducing other ways to get laurel through achievement in the future

conditioner mesmer here, i use in fact carrion armor and traited vitality instead of precision.
that way i have more than 20k health a decent direct damage and the condition i stack usually kill the mob slower than a berserker but still effectively. i have no rune that proc on crit.
plus i traited toughness so that 5% of it become condition damage.
it is a so good combination of stat that when i don’t use 5runes of undead+1rune of divinity and go 5 runes of traveler+1rune of pirate i barely note the difference.

Zho’qafa is almost always on in whiteside ridge because nobody do it. whenever you go there you can see the npc wiped at the feet of the risen abomination.

i cannot acces the trading post since yesterday, i already sent two in game tickets and 1 at support page. am i the only one? all my guildies and friends had issue yesterday (02/20/2013) but the trading post is regularly working for them since yesterday evening

Guest on another server to find a place that will alleviate your Orr woes. This is what I had to do because, as great of a home server as it is in lots of regards, Dragonbrand is miserably awful for doing temples.

1/2 (yes I have counted) of the people that try to do the Priests, during peak EST hours, will lay on the ground dead and useless, hoping to leech the event and get ressed for the chest at the end, instead of respawning to run back. Mind you I don’t mean in an area away from the fight where one could reasonably expect a quick res. I mean dudes dropping dead at the feet of Grenth where no one will ever res you without an extremely high risk of getting themselves downed and remaining there for up to 5 minutes or until the event fails instead of spending one minute running back to assist.

The other servers I have tried out have this same issue, but it’s on a much smaller scale. A person here or there. But not nearly as common or as wide spread a behavior as it is on DB.

what’s left of fun in this game already?
grenth is not an event we can complete anymore (or at least last time i tried for ever and ever it was so).
mobs during events won’t loot anymore because people used to fail it on purpose for farming.
balthazar i don’t remember how the boss is because the pact never get there their morale deplete on the very stairs of the temple (i had to went to gandara to buy obsidian shards)
jormag gives only blue items on chest rewards (it’s been a long time i don’t see a rare that is not a crest or a orb).
never had something meaningful from shatterer and now also tequatl stopped giving me rares (once he used to reward me with a rare verdant something each time i killed).
arah explorable mode is impossible for a group of first timer with no rally possibilities when swarmed by mobs (i need 500 hundreds tokens for legendary and all i see in game is people doing cof path 1 with a commitment i don’t get).
but what really gets me mad is they call all this challenging. what is challenging in an open world event where you need to be hundreds people in order to complete it?
impossible to do alone or in a small party it is not challenging imo.
today i was near the zho’qafa catocombs, where a group of npc was wiped by a champion risen abomination that is more difficoult to fight than the one that spawns after plinx event (the one after plinx we killed in 3, though no one can finish plinx event on his own thanks to this boss and no one bothers to kill it for the blu crap he loot, the one in zho’qafa catacombs seems to be too much for anyone).

is this fun and challenging? do you enjoy not complete events or completing it for no tangible reward?

lately the only place where i seem to achieve something good is fractals (although at the end of the daily lv 10 3 in the party received the ring and 2 me included didn’t).
fractal is nice for rewards but they are the same maps over and over again with increased difficulty (while you don’t get increased stats).

exploring can be fun, once maybe twice.

don’t get me wrong the only things i’m saying is that the difficulty level of some content should really scale depending on number of players in the event. not only scale up each time someone join. i mean there should be the possibility for a not so large group of people to have the chance of killing an eye of zhaitan or a champion risen abomination.

first time i explored arah was with a group of skilled players that explained to me every single thing i had to do and we completed it. i came out saying… well this is easy, why everybody complains about it?
second and third time i tryed with other random players and one time we couldn’t even open the first door to the first boss, the second time, we died at first boss.
i spent more money than i gained for repairing bill, we all quit the dungeon and i’ll never have the gift of zhaitan for my legendary.

i wish they could turn dungeons in meta events (with same rewards we are used in dungeon, meaning tokens etc) but with the functionality of open world event where everybody can join. this would lead at non skipping content and no waiting at the entrance and no ragekick/ragequit

maybe you have to delete some mail in your inbox, if you have 10 you cannot receive it

don’t know about friends, but i would totally support a yellow guild dot in the map/minimap

i was so happy when the first time i went underwater i realized there was no breath system that i would be utterly disappointed in a mechanic change.
there are some poi and skill point under water that with the mechanic you suggest would be an hell experience especially if you add krait or risen to that formula.
