@Amadan Hopefully they’ll bring it back once they fix the bug with it though, I think anything that encourages group play is a great idea, and it’s not hard to create a few combos to kill 10 mobs.

As the rest of this thread shows there is a surprisingly vocal group out there who don’t even do basic moves like dodge 15 times in a day of play so expanding the horizon of the playerbase through dailies is a great move from ANet.

oh i thought it was no bugged but just difficoult… to work properly you had to place a combo field between you and a mob and another player had to fire projectiles or activate combo finisher crossing the whole field…

if they put it back again i won’t complain, it was fun and different

and by the way they removed the combo killer from dailies for ever, so you don’t have to worry about that anymore

i love it! i use it a lot in jumping puzzles and wvw

you whiner don’t even read what other players write… still complaining about see people die so you can ress them wile tons of other people are saying you can ress npc.
dodge is not an issue. you don’t have to wait the last minute to dodge against zaitan… you can do it with a pink moa in a starter area… i hardly think that would frak you up let it too close to you.
as for crafting pace… is it really so hard to spend 5 secs to craft an ingot? they are not forcing you to craft 10 exotic piece of gear…
if you all are quitting the game for dodging ressing and crafting you are just idiots… or probably already so tired of the game you’d quit anyway… so why stay here and bother/bore other people who actually enjoy the change?
change is always good, i bet gw1 was not that great after six month from release… change made it the greatest mmo i’ve ever played!

the jumping puzzle achievement didn’t force you to do the actual jumping, you just have to find the starting point and you progress into the achievement…
it was very easy, only in LA you can find 3 of them.
i prefer the monthly as it is, i understand people hate fractals (even if i don’t know why) and but 7 fractals are just an odd level and an even level and you are done.

i would hate to be forced in all the dungeon and open 30 chests or fight so many champions.

as for the wvw i would do it anyway…

and you can do it in starter areas (if you are a level 2 player probably you are still figuring out the game and don’t care about dailies) if you are not a beginner but still lv 2 you probably have an alt for the difficult one, but dodge and revive and craft are not difficult at all, not expensive and not so different from old daily achievements.

i know it’s already been asked for but a send mail to guild feature would be awesome

i agree. it would be nice, but that would mean some people could sell those in the trading post so i think would be useful some flag “buy as a gift for [insert account name]” to avoid it, during purchasing.

on a side note: i know my boyfriend wanted to give me as a gift, gems for christmas (in order to buy stuff on bltp) but they are account bound and in italy they don’t sell gem cards…
so it would be a nice addition.

and btw i think the dungeon are all for the loot and not for the dps. and also i have a condition build so the berserker equipment would actually reduce my performance… i sometimes use magic find in dungeon with food or runes don’t use explorer set because 18% total of magic find is too low to be worthy, but that’s me, if someone want to run a dungeon in full magic find set with me and my group is more than welcome (especially when grouping is so difficoult to find).
tonight i had a magic find run in 4 with guild mates in fractal level 9 and we did good.
i suppose in fractal lv 40 this would not possible, i don’t know

there are vendors in every city (i didn’t visit though) and divinity’s reach is human capital city… lion’s arch is a melting pot, like new york^^
also i received a mail from queen jenna in person asking me to talk to some herald in queensdale. so i plan to go there tomorrow

that’s why i suggested an addition of the combination above instead of a change.
but i think it’s very needed, or a lot of players would look for it. (me included of course)

i think they surely have something in mind for guilds. let’s hope in the future we can have these nice feature implemented

i like them both, so i’m very happy i can have them on the same monthly also i think with the new update something in february will be different the january monthly won’t give you any laurel in case you didn’t complete it yet

this is very nice, or maybe add that combination of stats you said call it malice maybe dunno it would be very useful.
for now this can be done only with some runes.

this i like and vote.
also for alliance system it would be nice the choice to set a percentage of influence to go to the alliance so each guild in the alliance gain influence even if players doing events don’t represent your guild. this could keep players in one guild while everyone benefit from them.
also guild calendar or mini forum or something in game so people don’t have to swap windows to check news.
for example i have the ts information in my message of the day but i would rather keep that in some other page in the guild tab so i can set the message of the day with events we are planning or viceversa… but i think a calendar would be great.
i hate the idea to force my guildies into subscribe a forum just for the sake of events even stupid ones like guild dance parties or snapshots!
i want them to play not to read a forum

for now the only one that could be used instead is the +50 all stats with protective infusion or offensive infusion according to your build (cleric/rampager)

i really like it… i would like to see it implemented in guild halls or personal house.
i like the idea of some relaxing mini game (that you are not forced to do for rewards) and activities outside combat. i vote for this

ok, you all probably lost your mind…

crafter achievement: if you were so happy with the old daily you have lots of stupid mats to craft an ingot… you just craft 10 copper ingots and you are done! it is stupid and foolish to whine about it, also childish and unproductive…
what’s the difference between mindless gathering and mindless crafting?
please, it is stupid at least whine about the crafting achievements, it takes litterally 5 seconds. set the ingot, scrap, whatever to 10 and you are done!

healing achievement: really? wherever you go you find dead people… you don’t even need to do it during events for goodness sake… just walk in some newbie map and do it already! and also if you read the achievement it explain what to do… revive fallen allies…
even when this achievement wasn’t up i kept reviving things

dodging achievement: you really can’t dodge anything? ranger solution: go to search some giant worm and dodge the stones they throw (i did) go in gendarran fields and dodge catapults (just northwest of the map you go plenty). go in wayfarer foothills and search for wurms or elementals and dodge aoe.
i was in a dungeon when daily started so i was very lucky i completed it without notice it.

veteran killing: plains of ashford where there is the skill point in the north border there is a room with a lot of them with very fast spawning time… (also some of them aoe so you can dodge). in the map where the volcano is, i don’t remeber the name there is a nice veteran pink mo, i think you can handle it. also there are a lot of veteran centaurs and veteran skritts in wvw and in pve no big deal. veteran after all are not named champion and probably you kill lots of veteran trying to complete the events achievements.
also go in to a dungeon if you want there are plenty of them there.

now maybe something require some time something it’s super fast, and something boring. you are not forced to do it, and quit raging the game for some simple very appreciated change it is stupid there is no other word to describe it.
i’m sorry if you feel hurt in your opinion, but complaining about this it’s a waste of time you could use to complete your daily!
are seriously telling me you prefer to search for 15 variety to kill? seriously?

and by the way. there are a lot of people who are very happy to do something new for daily achievement, it’s challenging without being impossible, and nice.

when there was the combo killer i just asked in map how to do it and 3 player in 1 seconds offered to help… maybe when you don’t know what to do you can just ask instead of rage quit?

with this awesome update we have all stats in the hero panel clear and visible, also boon duration and condition duration, that made me very happy.
can we also have the magic find stat please? that is the only stat left behind why?

i started my mmo career with ragnarock on line and the only thing to do was grinding mobs in an area based on level or party and kill things for the sake of raising levels with no other purpose than that…
there was not even a quest grabbing thing to have some extra exp.

so gw1 and gw2 will never be the grindfest in my eyes

why all mmos must have all the same features?
is it so disturbing not having a mount? especially in a world were maps are not that huge and you can run in a matter of minutes from one end to another regardless waypoints?
the only think it would add would be people running inside the bank in LA on a horse or worse on a moa

but at least it was my choice to kindly refuse the advice and don’t run underworld with them.
so no, i’m done with this kind of play style and fortunately there is not a tool here that put this choice in the hand of another player.

The whole objectification thing is silly… Yes it happens, and yes its stupid, but saying that it is the reason for clothes being skimpy in Guild Wars 2 is stupid and is just a way for you to try to push whatever crap you are trying to sell.

Game creators tend to go by what the majority says, and I have yet to meet anyone other than the 3 or 4 of you here in this topic who complain about the skimpy clothes and how its unfair.

They aren’t going to change entire armor sets just to make you few people happy.

The problem with what you are saying about objectification would be valid if EVERY SINLGE OUTFIT was skimpy and tried to make the female character look perfect and sexy. But it doesn’t. There are roughly 6 or 7 out of dozens that do that. There are other options already for you, even if it doesn’t have the same name as the male counterpart, so I fail to see the reason for this topic.

Its like complaining about bikini’s in a swimwear shop, even though they have hundreds of other outfits to choose from.

i bet you read the first 2 or maybe 3 posts than jumped to your conclusion. clearly there are a lot of posts like this where we have opinion just based on assumptions. somehow people don’t care what other people have to say about anything in the forum but own’s opinion is the final verdict…

i think a lot of the “few” posters that complain about this made very good points for their argument and i suggest you read their opinion first.

Just be a person helping another person out and return the blooms and remove the item from his inventory. Why does it have to be a big deal? well i’m sorry for him, i get the frustration of not having the item you wanted, i know he made as you say an honest mistake, but asking refunds and being so enraged i think it’s too much.
i’ll be more than happy if he gets though and he should try if he thinks he deserves it, but feeling betrayed by a company just for this is over reacting imo.

that said the two items are different in many aspects, price, colour, levels and even shape… so even if one of the name is similar, one is yellow, the other one is orange, one is labelled exotic lv 80 the other one not and on top of this you can preview both.

there is a logical reason for that armor to be there.
in fact it has is not a lv 80 exotic armor but a lv 50 or 55 rare armor for people that want to wear a rare armor at that level but don’t want to craft one, don’t want to buy it in tp or even maybe because they like the stat.
i think it’s not misleading at all, there are 2 tabs and i find strange you didn’t even notice or checked.

i perfectly understand your rage, but it can happen you made a simple mistake, you didn’t end the world though. at least you can salvage the armor, run again the dungeon and get over it. 1 run=60 tokens + random tokens from bosses.

about fine transmutation stones… you can find them easily without paying any money with map completions or black lions chest as soon as you drop a key.

please, the dreamer is awesome, if i wouldn’t bored to death to use a ranger in this game i would totally go for the dreamer and spread death by rainbow every day (unfortunately i rolled a mesmer and there is no turning back to a ranger).
biforst just don’t seem that epic and i don’t like GS on my mesmer (i use it just to farm with magic find).

i guess there are so much legendary GS because 50% of the professions in this game can use that weapon. (even if with this logic there should be more than 1 staff since 50% of the professions can use 1)

as you can see we play in english, we write in english, we speak english. i have no problem with that but you can’t expect a person need to learn english to experience a game. especially one where other languages are already implemented!

english speaker are usually (not all of them of course) the worst foreign language learner but expect everyone have to speak/write english like there is nothing better to do in life…

i wish you were forced to do everything you like in languages other than yours, than we speak again

you can see the level on a map right? that will suggest the level of the gathering tool you need… i use the orichalcum gathering tool for everything.
i don’t think harvesting in this game is grindy or time consuming. i gather a lot of material just for being there trying to complete a map.
i would hate a gathering level it would slow down the crafting level. i’m most happy with gathering tools level.

it would be nice gw1 had italian for example, now in europe only germans, french and spanish exist… the rest of us are exotic and don’t deserve translation!

we are being punished for the greedy of some people who fails the event on purpose or refuse to finish it just for the sake of farming… in fact, now that both the events don’t drop like they used to you can see them finished…

the lodestones you could farm in grenth events were the corrupted lodestone not the glacial, and now thanks to people that exploit the endless farm as it was for jormag i couldn’t see a lodestone since ages…

if you read the question he is reporting not a musitian, but a player that is deliberately spamming the same tone over and over, he also explains than when politely asked to stop he was being chased down by the player to be harassed with the bell.
also using time warp for double speed spam…

this imo is clearly reportable, i don’t care if you are 7 or 99 years old, someone have to teach you that you can’t bother people.

why should be the op to leave the place? he is not doing anything wrong. and just because npcs spam their lines doesn’t mean you can do the same and i am not talking about “for great justice” that is not really the same issue here.

do you want to learn to play the bell to impress ladies? probably the best way is not spamming in LA but in an istance or an area where you don’t bother anyone!

i like the way it is, i would increase the steampunk/asura tech for clothing, i’m so tired of capes and skirts.
actually my greatsword is asura tier 3 very sci-fi magic glowing and fits with my mesmer, otherwise it would be the steampunk one.
i wish i could wear a less wizardlike armor and see more innovation in that field too.

there is an option you can activate in the option panel that shows you the exact cooldown of your skill so you can know exactly when a skill will be available. i have it on and helps me a lot, check it out

can’t you just preview the armor you like from the armor vendor itself? why would you inspect people to see what armor they wear? you can already look at them and see what armor they wear.
so the only things inspect would allow is stat inspection and it is so stupid… we already know what stats are in the game, why do we need to know what stats that player is wearing? why should i care?

i like your idea and i would like to lose myself in such a detailed world, so i approve your suggestion

something is needed when you can’t do it without… you have to equip at least a weapon to deal damage… you also can read the number of damage you are dealing each time. that’s all you need to play.
you don’t need to know if you are better than everyone else and you can see for yourself if you are doing better than before with different build. no need to put competition between players in pve.
a lot of people is pleased there is no competition in pve, we all can kill the same mob and have fun with it, we can stop to do it and help downed players, and it actually happens, people come to ress you when they can because they know the reward at the end of the fight doesn’t depend on dps (the reward is simply ugly for everyone^^).
and i think this is the best think happening in a mmo, a played a lot of them (never played wow though that apparently is the source of all that is evil in the world :P) and only in guild wars i can stay relaxed, i don’t have the feeling i need to be the best at everything and enjoy the help that randomly arrive. i always thanks people for partying with me and for ressing me when needed even if not in party and i try to do the same for them (i have the combat healer title and i’m proud of it).

this being said i don’t think there is any need of a tool for showing off, cause grief, and put the feeling of being useless to someone.
