well it depends, i don’t mind some dirty talking, so i set my profanity filter off, what i do mind though is if a person use a word to offend me or my friends or just try to make me feel bad or outside of place in the community.
at that point if my profanity shows “kitten” or a swear word the result is the same.
i say this just to point the fact, are you sure it was just profanity per se and not a verbal abuse vs another player?

i share the feeling of gratitude (even if i don’t mind some wvwvw for monthly completion, i am just grateful because i like to be here in gw2 game) but what if they put the wvwvw monthly next month?

yes i agree, at least renown hearts do this, there are some quite fun dynamic events that tell stories and require different tasks even if most of the time is killing or gathering at least it is in a changing contest.
i suggest you to check out some “mini dungeon” (you can track them in the exploration achievement bar) they can be fun to do as an alternative to jumping puzzles, or dynamic events quest chains that lead to a world boss (for example the one near the twilight arbor, or in the swamp in queensdale, or the dragons. they are fun to do and epic unless you do it multiple times.)

as a final note, i’m an optimistic, i’m sure they will give us in times lot of permanent content, full of quests and events, more weapons and skill to gain and train, more builds to experiment and very original seasonal content like lost shore (i enjoyed it no matter what people says about it), the mad king istance and alternative pvp like the one we had in wintersday.
i think they don’t just want to reveal all of the idea they will give us in time that’s all. the game is very young and new

i think i understand your feeling about the name, i would suffer if i couldn’t be known as Amadan… though Amadan is an irish word for foul (i’m not irish) a name for a nasty fairy, and has some relevance to my person and character…
are you sure you want to be associated with a fart? it is considered a swear words and even if you have history with it you can’t be possibly unaware of the meaning and the fact that this is a fantasy world about legendary heroes not farts (and even if i find it funny) some people would simply not be able to be immersed in the game (they already complain about rainbow unicorn shooting bows and purple butterfly on male mesmer, do you really want to add farts to their life?).

if i can be helpful i suggest you to llok at your new name differently: it is still a fart, but silent and nastier, you know it is an anagram but people won’t see that coming!

don’t get mad, but if you buy a pair of shoes in march you can’t be mad if people buy the same pair of shoes it in july with sales…
that said if sales on bank or character slots are to be made every single player in the game should now they can happen and when (that would be fair enough i think)

i don’t know if i like the idea of training some skills (i played ryzom and that was all the game, no quest no nothing else to do, or even a purpose for you to train said skills, at least this was the experience i had.
i think i can bear the idea of achievement related to skills like the slayer achievements or weapons achievements we have in gw2, because they don’t make you stronger or weaker if you don’t complete it.
i don’t like the idea of training some specific skill, even if i don’t like it, i would feel awkward not to do it though…
so that part of suggestion i don’t really like (it is my personal taste though, i can understand the reason you like it i think).

that said, i like the idea of chains quest, istanced or not, but quests that tell you a story, i like scavenger hunts and i really enjoy them, and i would very much appreciate some lore story telling quests. i would like to know more of this world and his history playing the game and not reading the book or the forum. i know there are parchments and tome you can find here and there in the world that tells you story, but why not to implements lore points like vista, with nice cinematic so i don’t have to read?
as much as i enjoy reading but game is about gaming and visual effects imo.
or even better istanced lore points of interest working like the fractal level where you transform into a charr. that would be awesome!!

i like scaling because i can always play with newbie friends or guildie and be same level as them (even if quite stronger due to traits and gear and experience), while doing so still having loot appropriated to my level, gaining exp and challenge my self and my skill even in queensdale! or completing maps solo and when i fight random mobs still getting annoyed like they could really harm me (they don’t in the end).
it is fun for me and works perfectly well.

never happened to me though. and i wouldn’t yell at someone for completing an event. nor i would call a griefer if someone kill the mob i try to dodge.
before 28th of january all people here complained about empty zones, and now it seems all people are filling all maps in the server ready to jump on your mob or yelling…
i did my dodge in frostgorge that is normally a pretty populated zone both with humans and bots usually and no one tried to kill my wurm

some repeatable story line istances with various degree of success depending on how you do the mission (like gw1).
that would mean some variety of missions instead of hearing traeharne stating “this won’t end well” while performing magic we cannot even dream about

or maybe they could add cities or outpost in the open world to set as guild halls… or just a map dedicated to it where you can see all the guild halls in the server (without the permission to access it unless invited or allied) but just for the show. like wvw maps were there are keeps claimed by guild

edit: maybe mine it’s a lame and stupid idea, but i like the idea of having neighbours

Guild Membership will have to become Account wide before any GvG content gets added.

The same for Guild Halls that have services. Character based guild membership has too many ways to abuse Guild Halls and GvG content.

I’ve watched it first hand in just about ALL of Perfect World Entertainment’s MMOs.

guild membership is already account wide. unless you were talking about multiguilding

the old dailies resetted once a day. you couldn’t complete it whenever as you state…
or at least i couldn’t.
in my server whenever my clock reached 1 am, daily resetted and new daily started.

while when there was not a daily ress lot of people, me included (once reached the ressing achievement for battle healer title) run through dead npc without even care… was this immersion breaker? yes, and still no complain about it before

running around is as fast as you can go in this game, even with adding a mount you would go the same speed…
so it is quite pointless…
every single zone in the map is little not so really time consuming to run from a side to another.
if you refer to cross map travel, i can’t believe you could run (even on a mount) from LA to Frostgorge… you would use a waypoint and in doing so you would use the nearest to the spot you need to be, so once there a mount would be again pointless (u would use more time in mounting and dismounting than simply move).
for cosmetic purposes, they finally added the broomstick.

p.s. every class have some way to get speed buff. use that as your mount
p.p.s. i played lotro, a game where maps where ginormous and there were few teleport abilities (not only the book and the movie were a walkfest, also the game managed to do the exact same thing), so a mount was indeed required (in fact you had to pay 95 turbine points to have it). i don’t think it would be nice in gw2 (since you can teleport pretty everywhere and be where you want to be in seconds) to add a speed buff like a mount for gems in the store. i think it would be against the no pay to win policy this company try to have.
p.p.ps. just to finish, if you had use your search feature (preventing dwayna in berserker killing mode and fun backpacks to pop up) you would have notice that anet in person said a lot of time no mount in this game, that is not what gw2 is about or something like this.

i wish it too… by the time i could get the complete edition my main character was a ranger, and my mesmer had no hope to running in those map to get the complete edition… now, that i use mainly the mesmer i cannot equip the complete edition because is soulbound to the ranger…

i bought a very plain normal edition and from sometime now (even before than this last patch) i’m blessed with loot.
just to say, i made 3 attempt at the mystic forge to transform 4 green in 1 yellow and i had success 3 times.
i purchased some gems with gold waiting to trade them back when it will be convenient

daily healer or not there will always be places full of already dead npc without you to wait them to die… if you like to help and ress them, now you are also rewarded.

i want to play gw2, i like the style i like classes and sometimes when my friend are not on line, i would like to solo a dungeon besides other content.
if you want run dungeon in a group you can still do it…

did you ever looked really at armor in wvw?
you claim you do and didn’t ever notice the invaders all wears invader armor?
because if you did, probably you wouldn’t say this suggestion is confusing in wvw.

it was said in the description it is a toy slot, where in armor slots do you see a toy? nowhere…
so it was pretty clear it was just for town clothes and funny riding in the city! i love it! i will have it!

i agree with a condition duration stat implemented in armors and jewels not only woth runes… the thing i wanted to ask you btw is why precision? am i missing something?
is it for sigils that apply conditions on crit?

i liked the gw1 system where you could replay any istance to improve your performance.
you had 3 tier of performance (like bronze, silver, gold we have here) and a title for all istances completed at best performance.
it was challenging and fun!
edit: i’m talking about the story line not dungeons or some other istances

and world bosses (like dragons) are like objects immune to condition but not immune to crit if i remember correctly.

how can a mesmer do an exit portal inside a keep from outside it? i’m a mesmer but i never did it. unless the mesmer is already inside and some how manage to get outside without being killed.

this happens to me also, but only after the shatterer event and only in that spot

i play on a mac it happened to me but only if i try to reach the hero panel by clicking on the monthly achievement tooltip in the UI. this not happens with daily.
and also just happened to a friend of mine but only when he clicks on the dungeon frequenter part of the monthly tooltip (he plays on a pc)

i don’t even know if there is a tool to show who is the party leader

why they don’t disable fights in jumping puzzle? like jumping in EB is not enough stress!

i started playing a ranger not wearing any form of magic find 100% world completion 10g.
now i play a mesmer with magic find 70% world completion 43g

and btw warriors and guardian perform movements more complex than an elementalist summoning a fire storm… so if the movement thing should be what we have for making sense…

as a matter of fact in lotro you actually could cross dress some outfits, but nobody did it, at least in my server.

so if mage have to wear robe because in your mind that is the only way a mage can be, why can’t a mage wear trousers? i wish i could!! i’m talking about the fact that no matter how do i gear myself all i can see from behind my character (that’s pretty much 99% of time) is at best a tuxedo tail…. at worst a very bad shaped kitten mantle!
and why a female toon in a babydoll or in underwear fits better the idea of a mage instead of one that looks like a corsair?
a pirate outfit isn’t clothes? and why wearing leather pants should block your magical powers?
i guess thieves that stealth in full plate still remain an issue, but guess what they don’t stealth, they go invisible, they disappear in thin air while you are looking at them with no even a smoke bomb to concieve them… so are they mage and should wear gowns and underwear like the rest of us?

and finally why the hell a trenchcoat make me the new willem tell? how can it be a comfortable outfit in any battle?

as for the wvw confusion… seriously? in a 1v1 (the only time you have actually the chance to guess who you are targeting) is so difficoult to see that the guy with 3 clones of himself not wearing a skirt is a mesmer? oh maybe you missed the pink beam!

in italian the planet earth is called Terra (very similar to Tyria) and the same noun terra also apply to soil and rock.
when we talk about elements we have fuoco/fire, water/acqua, aria/air, terra/earth.
i guess the root of earth/terra is the same for both our languages.
the meaning of mediterranean (mediterraneo in italian) is literally “between earths” not middle earth, but sounds very similar though

No they are NOT supposed to suck. I’m not taking that “philosophy”. Tier 2 Elite skills that cost 30 skill points are supposed to be mathematically 3x better than that of their tier 1 10 skill point counterparts regardless of racial or class specifications. Elite skills are supposed to be strong and effective in battle, not a waste of a skill slot! Redo every races racial elite skills and then that’ll make everyone happy.

complete agreement and they don’t work on pvp so there shouln’t not be balancing problems except maybe wvw but that is warefare problem

don’t know about the scroll but you can design in the minimap by pressing shift+left click

i love the new daily too, i wouldn’t increase the difficulty though because a lot of people who enjoy it could not have ll the time to complete it because of families, jobs, homework and real life in general that stands in the way of our mmo glory^^

i completely like this idea… i would love the metereologicus staff instead of bifrost (i would keep the rainbow though).

well i’m happy with it because not every aspect in the game must be dark, sad and masculine.
why bikini fights are ok, but unicorns are breaking immersion in a fantasy world?
this is some glamour magic bow like faeries magic and i like the fact it’s not dark for a change

very nice, also useful to have large events with more than 5 people in party without splitting teams
