i was wondering this myself, because you can transmute an exotic skin on a rare item and chose the stat of the rare items, the name still is orange, but the stats will be rare, so what op is asking is will this happen when we will have ascended weapon? will the legendary i transmuted for stats be exotic instead of upgraded to ascended?

they do actually. i saw some suggestion implemented in the game.
i would like a wardrobe, it is so much needed i think not necessarily all armor should be turned in to skins, i would keep some stats diversity for different purposes. i would also buy with gems a wallet for all the tokens this game has.
i’m sure i would easily fill my bank slots in some other ways

i opened a black lion chest yesterday and had 5 of them, and i also whined since i don’t need those…

Also, do you honestly believe people repeatedly run explorables for fun? They run it for money and tokens. When a MF user wastes their time by making it take longer, it’s wasting time the other people could have used to get more money or tokens, or gone on to do something that’s actually fun once they got the daily farm out of the way.

if you run it for money you should wear magic find, you are really that bad at calculating effectiveness?

though i think anti magic find user are very entertaining, i am sure, and already stated in this very same post that if magic find wouldn’t exist you anti magic find user would complain about something else.
another exemples here: if i run a dungeon using a ranger… and if i decide to use spirits instead of quickening zephir and rampage as one, vitality build instead of berserker. you would kick me out of the party because i would slow you down, no matter the survivability you would say: don’t make a ranger if you can’t dodge and survive in berserker, you suck , get out of my way, i have two precious minutes to spend elsewhere (two minutes is 120 secs, i have skills that have a longer cool down).

so please don’t make me laugh! if you run dungeon for money wear your magic find and have fun (i’m sure once you try you’ll never come back). if you run to beat the world record of 100 mts speed you probably should do the athlet not the video gamer… you should probably kick everyone who can’t play the same way as you do

i don’t have any conplain on necro to do, one of my guildie is a very good necro and he really enjoys the professions above all others.
i play a mesmer, and i have a lot of fun with it since i started to understand how it works and how to use my builds and skill (there are a lot of posts in the mesmer section that can help you out as helped me).
mesmer has a good survivability too, thanks to his many tricks and blink and the good health pool (less than necro, but still). you’ll love your utilities, they are very versatile and cover pretty much every situation. there are so many ways to reflects projectile that i always find entertaining to see scouts suicide because you used the right combo (not only feedback).
your friend will love your portal (if you are a good jumper and they are not, or if you are smart enough in wvw) and you can give them love back with your time warp.
no one ever complains about it.
or maybe entertain yourself turning a giant boss into a moa for some second?

i also have lots of them and used lots of them. no gem spent to have it.
i found them in black lion chest (never bought a key, i some times have key for map completion). sometimes i had them as a reward for map completion.
i used 12 of them and still have 10. i can’t share because are account bound but surely if i have that much any one else can and for free, same as me

if i summon a shower of meteor from the sky, not only it has to hit the edge of the wall, but it should hit all the walk in the said wall… instead from ground you can’t even target that area, you are forced to hit half the area.
for other attacks all i read is obstructed or out of range. and i can still be hit.

alway agree with more armor skins, especially medium… i don’t know, maybe a trenchcoat would be a new feature of the game?

there is an event that actually drops a lot of things, especially if you do it in mf gear, it’s grenth event, it is fun, it is hard, it is open world and very far from killing dragons that are easier and unrewarding.
the only thing i can complain about is that it is indeed lame that a champion drop is often worst that his/her minions drop. and also chest reward, champion chest or jumping puzzle’s one are very laughable sometimes.
i know what rares means in english (let’s figure exotic or legendary) but you see a huge “splendid” chest after a hard fight and all you can see is green or even worse blue…

at least one yellow should be inside every chest… no matter if mats, or gear… but they should be there with a good chance on exotic too…
come on… bosses in this game can’t be poorer than me!!

if butterflies are really so upsetting to some of you, i think you have serious problem… no really how can an animation on a game put your manhood to an hedge? is your manhood more fragile than a butterfly?
and besides the mesmer is not an evil dark wizard who sold is soul the the god of death in order to have some power…
i think the mesmer shouldn’t be a mage at all… it is a prestige, a master of deception, a profession who makes fun of his enemies and doesn’t take himself so serious, he don’t need to, he wants to be underestimated, he wants to look fluffy and weak, the istant you believe this he is already mesmer tanking you, or maybe just a copy of him? you can never now until butterflies…

well i love the mesmer class and the concept of it, i think it’s very original and amazing to play with (after i started to play mesmer i couldn’t enjoy any other class).

well… in all other mmo you still sell and buy stuff if you don’t find what you seek and eventually can buy what you are looking for, where’s the drama in it? it isn’t play the market, it’s simply sell and buy what you want…

why is it so important that you walk away from group content with higher rewards than everyone else at the cost of a more “contributory” stat?

you asked to another person but i’ll give you my answer:
in the group content you have the chance to drop better loot than in open pve, this game is highly unrewarding sometimes, i played both styles and since i use some magic find i eventually ended up having some money, while before i couldn’t have more than 5g in my pocket forever.
we all want to buy things and gain rewards, and call me selfish but at least i will never kick a person from a party because it’s slowing me down or is the first time doing a dungeon, while dungeon rusher are always ready to complain about something, if not magic find it’s because you are not good at avoid fire ball in citadel of flame, or because you are not dps, or because you are not exotic, or because they simply can’t enjoy a game…
is this attitude considered selfless now?

the problem i’m having is not leveling, that is slow but not that slow, the boring part is map completion, i have it on my first character, and i don’t want to do it anymore, just the tought of it makes me cry and i’m not even talking about cursed shore couse i already completed it twice, i can’t stand the idea of metrica province and harathi hinterlands… and gendarran fields… and malchor’s leap o please malchor’s leap is gonna killing me

i had my first attempt today with the 10 clover recipe and i had 10 clover right away…
i didn’t dare to have a second attempt though

and also, why run a dungeon at all? if not for loot, why do it? i think for fun? and has the fun something to do with i do more damage than you?
and also, the magic find user while standing still do damage as a non magic find user still standing, the difference in effectiveness is minutes in the total time spent in the run…
probably seconds during mob swarms…

if magic find wouldn’t exist (and sometimes i think it would be nice) than probably most of the magic find user would pick up some other reason to hate people who run dungeon with…

“you don’t need thoughness you are an elementalist stay far away and nuke them all already”
“why did you run dungeon with healing stats there is no even a trinity hear we can heal ourselves you selfish leecher”
“why pick a ranger profession if you want to use the greatsword, you have to use a long bow and a torch on second hand so you can light your arrows you noob”
“why use short bow and longbow one of your set must be short ranged”

this could be just examples (i’ve been told one of the four though you pick)!

schytes, chackram, fan, i would be an happy mesmer with a fan as focus

dunno about historians (i always love a good scavenger hunt like the mad king one) or shinies (i can’t see red circle on the floor i probably will never notice a ring ora trinket), what i see is mob doing nothing until they can attack me, i don’t see moa eating worms on the ground just as an example. they just occasionally fight each other…
i played a game called ryzom times ago, mobs in that games did a lot of things, one tiny doglike once came near me, smelled me and than peed on me while i was seated there watching it, i was so amazed i couldn’t believe it!!

i wish i could just loot some of those sometimes, i never found any! maybe they are too powerful to be crafted…

yes graphic, statistics, numbers is all i want to see in an mmo… why see nice environment at all… i don’t want my eyes to be distracted from tics and dps numbers please! i need exactly to know how much dmg i can do… before i do it!

btw i don’t bother that much of what people wear, imo +18% magic find as a third stat i think it’s stupid that’s why i prefer superior runes of traveler instead and maybe an omnoberry bar sometimes.
i don’t care if my mates zerker or magic finder die, i’ll ress them in time, if i’m in a dungeon i know it will take sometimes to do it, so why to rush? i prefer not to enter than rushrun everything. but that’s is just me and my opinion.

you can also blame berserker’s gear for not having good survivability… i had runs in dungeon with people who do high damage once in a while when they are not too busy being downed because they don’t have toughness or vitality…
i sometimes wear my carrion exotic armor with superior runes of traveler in it and i do damage and don’t die because i have an high amount of health, and i don’t want to be blamed because i don’t die.

and never ever get an ecto from them

i think like everything it only takes sometimes to experience, all the aspect you are asking are already in the game, and besides, i like that you cannot istantly recognize an elementalist from a mesmer just to say unless they use their skill it’s a new thing no other game i know has. enemy is not obvious and never will be, you can predict out of experience what’s happening next but you’ll never be sure. other wise it become chessmate… this is just my opinion btw. it’s what i enjoy in pvp.

don’t like the idea of forcing jp especially in team, i like them, and i like them the most when i can do it solo, or with some friend i really know they won’t be angry at me if i fall, because when i know some person will be angry at me if i fall… i’ll do it thousands time!
i’m so bad under stress circustamces, in fact i’m always the last person jumping in the kitten golems fractals and also the last to climb in the statue one

it is 2 fine transmutation stone for each piece of armor… but as the story we play in the game suggest we should really have the possibility to get each order armor according to me…

i have two characters at 80, one of them also has 100% map explored and i still feel like it’s the first week i play… not that i don’t understand the game or there are things i have to uncover, it’s just a feeling i have when i play, i like events, i like fighting giant bosses from day 1 in my career as adventurer, i like to open chests after such epic fights, i like to rampage dragons with hundreds of players and very talkative npc. i like running dungeons with friends, i like to unlock achievements and titles and also participating in the monthly new content.
and i like the most that every profession you play is unique and self reliable, you can explore alone or with friends and you don’t need to wait to find healers or tanker or damage dealer… you alone are already the 3 of them in some degree and still you are almost different from other people with same profession…

are you even jewellers?
for rare and exotic recipe you need 3 jewels (meaning 3 ectos) and 5 jewels (meaning 5 ectos) to make one ring, earring, pendant…
when you salvage you get back 1 jewels most of the time, some mithril or orichalcum if you are lucky 0-3 ecto or 0-5 ecto according to the tier of the recipe.
if you craft lower recipe you need just 1 jewel not ecto but you don’t have ecto back if you salvage… you mostly do it for crafting experience.
i never noticed this snowflake recipe since i didn’t need the stats but i could understand at first glance that a recipe requiring only 1 jewel (meaning 1 ecto) could have been an ecto mining source. and if only i would have bothered to see this recipe i would have told for sure this was too weird!
it is very stupid to compare this recipe to any tailoring or any other crafting branch recipe.
the tailor rare recipe don’t need ecto but need 15 t5 mats and when you salvage you never get back the mats for making the same recipe again, you never get back the insignia you need to make that recipe again. if you do you certainly can exploit the recipe!! for the same reason as above.
it is perfectly obvious that all the rare and exotic recipes of every crafting profession are intended to farm ecto (or trying precursor in the mystic forge) but the jewellers (and obviously cooking)…
the jewellers need the same quantity of ecto you could have back by salvaging… so when this is not the case of course you should have wondered is this really intended? you better ask before doing it repeatedly over and over again.

though, this recipe is certainly an error made by anet, they could have take back all the ectos and gold farmed this way and done with it… but if you craft even if you do it casual it is impossible not to notice how different this recipe is!!

hi i’m experiencing some problem with my guild Rainbow Pride server Whiteside ridge.
i was talking in guild chat but suddenly a message appeared saying “you are not in a guild”. i’m am the guild leader/founder and regardless the chat error i can acces guild panel, i see online members, i see myself still representing, they see me still in the guild, i could change the message of the day. the only thing i can’t do is read guild message in the chat or type any lines…
i sent a ticket and browsed the forum for advice.
i hope this can be fixed.
