i agree with op, it is stressing.
i would like a slower pace instead of this short, and by lower pace i don’t mean make achievement long to finish, but simply give me more time to make shorter achievement to finish or else i’m doing only that and forgetting all the rest of the game

edit: shorter or like they are now that is not that unreasonable

oh yes a toggle on/off is ok, i was just pointing out that not all the commanders in pve are doing this to show off (but i am well aware that others do it all the time for no reason, i guess they have something small to hide in plain sight? ^^)

great ideas, also i would like some kind of feature or serious punishment for players afk, it’s happening to me more often be team mates or enemies it happens all the time and it’s stupid to win or lose just because some person entered a roster and just stand there for no reason

a commander outside wvwvw has its uses, you may not understand it because you probably don’t do guild missions, but it’s a very useful feature, easy to spot by everyone since we can only see party members in map and since guild missions require more than 5 people

and also, why we wield a staff but we cast magic from the free hand? why is it a 2 handed weapon since we basically use only one hand to wield it like gandalf never existed?

yeah it’s something i wondered my self a lot, why necro have this cool staff animation and the other scholars just use the staff like it’s just a cane to make you stand?

i think the 9th profession of course the black lion keys farmer…

just joking, i don’t have all the class but i think i would do a mesmer again

abyss and blood make it awesome, although i use only the chest and glove of that armor and ascalon leggings with it, i really cannot bear skirt/skirt like/half skirt like leggings anymore

on a quick note, i feel like most armors looks like crap on male for some reason…

here is my wishlist about guild, take note you anet and santaclaus, who ever comehere first:

-send mail to all guild feature
-in game calendar
-last on line/last representing feature
-guild alliance and alliance chat
-guild halls
-more permissions splitting
-overall a better interface (but i’m ok with this one too, already used to it)

there are probably other things i would like but now i can’t think of any

i love the pvp locker so much that i wish there were not stats on pve gear too so we could have a pve locker too…
i so want a pve locker, would be so beautiful to collect all these nice skins

on some part of your post i agree although some dinamic events have been improved to be at least more rewarding, although the new fast patching content it is kinda stressful, i mean, i’m really happy that we have everyday tons to do, but it is stressfull to do it as soon as possible before they remove it.
they started with sign post to build for more than a month and now we have all of this for 2 weeks… and the dailies for the achievement points, tons of race to run numerous crystal to collect baskets to open, ticket to rng and so on…
i wish we could have a break from all of this for a while, just enjoy the game for what it is and have more delayed temporary content

i don’t get why people consider portals a cheat, are the stability skills considered cheating because prevents you from being knocked out?

well, i don’t know what’s your problem, i opened the chest and i knew they were soulbound on aquire, i didn’t search it on the wiki, so i don’t know how to help u and where to point you out. anyhow, it’s not really an issue since you can purchase tons of them for ever and ever

the gift of jumping is such a little part in the process of crafting a legendary that all the gift of mastery itself was already something you really didn’t worry about it

we can put it this way, the mesmer is like an healer in a raid, only in a different way and for a completely different content^^

they did say they were soulbound on purchase, that is the reason because before i realize i could have as many of them i switched toon to gave it to the right one…

i do really think that most of jumping puzzles difficulty is around the fact that u cannot see where u jump and die for it.
it’s not that they do this because they don’t know how their camera works, do they?

i also have some hom achievement points and free stuff and i’m good with it, i don’t know if asking for more though is fair or necessary

i love them for this patch i really do, the achievement chests are awesome

i think it’s really fine as it is, main rewards anyhow are towards pve. and the pvp stuff you get are not preventing you to get also the rest of the rewards… so no harm done?

i feel like i actually achieved something indeed

I love these comments. Especially the ones about the races and not granting the whiners the satisfaction of getting a free achievement.

All in all, it does bother me slightly that people do content like this and I’m sure I’ll at one point just put it past me and let them play the game how they want to play it…
But lets be honest… If you ignore a problem because it’s too much of a hassle to fix, you’re basically giving them a free pass.

Towards the person saying that this is an excuse for a mesmer nerf, I ask of you to do nothing more than read the posts following my initial post and if you for any reason are like the people we’re talking about, which you clearly are then you’ll probably skip it but let me go ahead and make it easy for you as well.

I said that Mesmers should in no way be nerfed for this because the ability Portal is in itself a great ability with a lot of uses I do however think it should be adjusted for JP BUT if that results in a direct nerf to the ability, Mesmers should be adjusted accordingly to make up for the loss.

i use the portal for myself in case i fall as a second jump, i did all my jumping puzzle this way (and since i don’t have a last generation computer i still waste hours on some of them or fall and die anyway so much for the second chance) and never bothered to come back to jps unless for dailies (and i still jump for myself), and never park my mesmer anywhere since it is my main, but i use portal on other few occasion and nerfing a portal on a permanent jumping puzzle for me is killing a skill that i don’t use otherwise in pve, it looks pretty to have but useless, and according to what they do with skill “balance” when they nerf a skill they don’t power up it in other content… oh and the portal was already been nerfed a long time ago.

in the beginning it has 60s cooldown and could teleport so many people as long as it was active, now can port only 20 people for wvwvw purposes i guess

i really don’t understand this outcry with gear when math is so clearly pointing that celestial is not that good… not even in magic find armor since you can deal more damage with that and of course kill more thing faster…

edit: what i don’t understand is this rage over skills you can deliberately not use to replace them with other you use… you know there are utility professions skills that i never used and other pleyers didn’t but i didn’t se nobody that angry about it

you don’t have those skills in pvp…

and they are not meant to be useful more than professions skills in pve.
although they are nice to try sometimes

i don’t know what you summed up, but not considering the trinket a full set of armor give you only 125 all stats agains 252 on main stat in other armor sets…

so berserker have less critical damage but more power and precision… celestial have more critical damage but less power and precision… so what your common sense suggest?

also i tryed celestial trinkets in pvp and it’s not better than dedicated bunker gear… so no, i don’t think it will unbalance wvwvw… and wvwvw is already unbalanced around numbers of people in zergs as it is, the problem is not the stats on your armor!

i play all of the 3 gamestyle available:
pve, pvp, wvwvw.

but i mostly hate wvwvw because there is no real reason to do what you do there.
your presence alone doesn’t make any difference, you cannot run alone unless you are a thief, you spend effort, time and money on keeping towers and 10 minutes later are gone.
and you run, up and down, for hours. when 2 zergs fight is the one lagging less that win.
tactics require numbers that some server doesn’t have others have enough to outmann you on every single map.

wvwvw is the tpvp in huge maps with more effort to cap point, the stats of the pve and countless people doing nothing most of the time (or shouting)
you do this all over for hours for no reason, than the night fall and everything change, if you were winning you lose everything if you were losing you can get some point to catch up.

now, while pve give you stories, bosses, rewards and dungeon and multiple tasks for every game style, tpvp makes of fast tournement and immediate rewards his strenght, wvwvw is almost useless, you spend time there and all you got is less money in your pocket, skills useless elsewhere, and nothing to cheer, and it’s the same content and maps for ever. no matter what, it’s alwasy the same, you go, if you have bigger number you win, otherwise you lose…
how can this be fun?

edit: if they give us rewards like the achievement points now do, you would see a flow of people kittening here, but also a flow of more people in wvwvw, even if it is so much boring i would do it

if only we could have Joss Whedon to write the stories for gw2 we could have the perfect mix of humor, dark, disney and whatever he does with his magic…

the quarts is account bound, but i think the final gear will not

on that i agree, i mean i’m not asking about any more vertical progression either, i simply deal with what we have now

and the problem in having this as soon as possible is?

edit: i mean i get it that you cannot charge quarts at the same “place of power” over and over, but making me do it only once a day per account is so stupid i wish i could kittenslap whoever said it “we cannot make them have it the first day”

i think it is pathetic though to whine about +5 agony +5 of 1 stat for an infusion, i don’t think 30 more points in stat will be that huge difference, it’s just you thinking that since the number are slighlty greater if you don’t have it you cannot win the game…

but actually there is no game to win… otherwise you couldn’t play the same content at lv1

don’t you have another excuse to ask for yet another mesmer nerf?

the point is the same for every new jumping puzzle, you don’t like “cheating”? you don’t do it. and let people be!

there is no grinding associated with the current ascended gears, only time sinks. and some of those trinkets can be acquired by different means… so i don’t know what you are talking about.

one think i could be against of is the costant time sinking, like the new weapons and armors, a full set will require a month and a half if you want one

i would add that even if the i-warden from focus deals more damage (aoe even) and block or reflect projectiles according to your spec, the i-duelist is excellent for single target and it’s range, while the i-warden he just forget to move to its target and do it’s damage. i swap to pistol very often when i know i’ll face a single mob like a boss in a dungeon who doesn’t fire projectiles

so, we lost the illusion celerity as a 5 point trait, we lost confusion on pretty much every weapon that granted it, now, we lost protection from chaos armor and the boons granted by chaos armor as well as the condition have a 1 second cool down…

what do you think about it?
what will be next, the illusion spawning abilities all together?

edit: well we didn’t lost protection, but it’s no longer the default boon you get from chaos armor… i can forsee thief at my back any seconds now

we european don’t get angry because of cultural mixes between our countless cultures…
sometimes i think people just need something to be mad at all the time!

i wish mobs could have skills more similar to ours, like in gw1, and some trash mobs in dungeon have less hp, they not only rewards nothing but takes for ever to kill, if they were reasonably killable , i think less people would skip (sometimes skipping it’s just dangerous and waste more time skipping badly than killing easily).

can you really imagine in arah path 3 killing all those spiders? seriously? and that is already the shortest path despite being so long…

also there are ranger that are able to micromanage their pet so they are not useless in dungeon, the sad things is only that there are not enough good ranger out there.
and they are still strong in pvp despite any nerf

i agree that toughness and vitality should be more meaningful, i don’t agree that light and medium armor wearer cannot tank because of old mmo doing so.
every profession should fulfill every role someway or another, i like this idea in this game and i don’t want to go out in the world with a heavy armor body guard all the time

you don’t have to jump, you have to fall from the pedestral where the goggles are, if you fall in the same direction of your jump you hit water and no obstacles…
believe me, we spent days there.

anyway those goggles there are INSANE, no matter how people tell it’s the new jp mechanics, or invoke to mesmers portal. the mesmer portal stretch far to the roof of the ship, no further. so you have to do the most of the jumping puzzle and the most of the difficoult jump anyway.

wear your goggles for the last time and don’t jump, simply step over, it worked every single time

i think they will raise some day the level cap, even if it is pointless since all the down scaling and since there is no real improvement in what you can do at level 60 or level 80 actually, but they will just to make us start over with their new shiny gear and pretend there is some new end game
