we will have new sets of skills and traits, we will see what happen after it will be implemented, what’s the reason to do it before?
so far berserker stats were great in some content and for some classes, maybe in the future diversity of stats will be as much appreciated.

edit: also getting rid of berserker stats may impact also you, what if you want to use them and they become completely useless for no reason? i don’t get the hate against the berserker gear (even though i’m not using those)

the new legendary will have every set of stats to chose from when we are out of combat, that is so much appreciated!!

this is the reason i didn’t transmute mine, because i don’t know.
the description of a transmuted legendary is in fact transmuted, not legendary

we use it for food and potions. drinks that turn you into something with costume brawl skills, items and gear from masterwork to exotic for newbie or alts or skins, bags for people who might need them.
crafting item not yet refined for people who want to level their crafting abilities. and some stack of black lions chest so whenever a guildie got a key can easily open one.

ah and of course recipes, for people that were not playing during temporary content.

when it is full of useless things i just sell them and put the money in the guild bank in case we might need for guild influence or maybe in the future to pay the guild hall, or when we organize lottery or prizes for various reason

what you said it’s true, but i think, and this is only my opinion, it has more to do with players than builds.
people doesn’t even want to try builds that are not the established one, because most of them, when they play a class in pvp they don’t play it because they like the class and the possibility it offers, they play that class because they think it’s the best for winning if played with the build other players had come up to.
it’s not a coincidence that you see few warriors in pvp and tons of minion necro, thieves, mesmers, engineer and ranger

so far all the clones are predictable, they don’t even have a off hand…
but i agree i do the second skill as an habit but in pvp it’s just for wasting few seconds of your enemy

and how do you know they are guest and not you server mate that are simply too much?

people will always say mesmer and thief at first, but you have to be very skilled to be good at mesmer and i know nothing about thief.

necro instead, especially the minion master in pvp, they don’t even have to fight, they can stan still with thousands of toughness because +20 for each minion, thousand of health because some stupid mechanic of autoinflicting conditions (that you won’t use with minion mastery) make them the healthiest of them all, and if this is not enough, they can heal for each minion that hit, even those minion with the runes.
also fear, interrupts, cc with staff.

it is not a surprise if you see necro wherever you go in pvp

i feel the pressure. even if i skipped the 2 nightmare jumping puzzles in halloween and wintersday.
but i do feel the pressure. i usually try to complete all the new achievement as fast as i can, because i’m scared of missing something.
but i surely now i won’t die if at the end i’ll skip something again.
i stopped farming all the daily achievement when i realized i was hating the game for doing so, there was a moment it felt like a job, i surely would gladly do it if they pay me with real money, which i can spend to pay my internet connection^^

i didn’t see any improvement suggestion in this forum becoming reality in game play, only nerf on qqing. so probably complaining is the way to go.
i don’t like with the mesmer that i feel the free kill for all. lately there is no build that make me feel differently, either in wwvw or in pvp.
i’m that crappy at mesmer that anybody can kill me, even crappy mesmers.
also if i spec for condition damage i feel ashamed on how hard is to build condition on enemies while necro can just autoattack to inflict whatever while surrounded by an army of minion surely more resistent than my clones.

when i shatter it’s like i do nothing just killing clones and phantasm for no reason. than i see video about mesmers and i feel even worse. but yeah other classes bored me to death

can be a solution, but it still feels competitive rather than cooperative.
but yes there are definitely some differences when you run a dungeon with certain classes in stead of others and with experience you even may notice where the difference was 8usually the lack of a guardian is the one i notice more).
but yeah, for all the boon i apply and regeneration, even if i play a mesmer, some recognition would be nice^^

even though i can agree in some parts, a window after a dungeon showing some results may lead to exclude some people to run the same dungeon in some way in the future or even asking before the dungeon to enter with a certain build to fill better the formentioned window…
some classes can be even more excluded in content just because some people misunderstood numbers.

and number misunderstanding seems very common, just look at the threads about celestial stats and see how people completely messed up the maths

on zhaitan death you spend must of your personal story killing him, it’s not the very final battle it’s everything you do first.
and the dragons are so powerful that you shouldn’t be able to hack and slash them. you had to cut his food supply and army supply, blind him and cleanse the erath he corrupted… i wouldn’t say it is underwhelming.
but that’s me anyway.

but i agree, i would prefer some more lore added, some more ancient lore i mean, what about the gods? what about all those races that walked on tyria centuries ago?
and i would like to see stories that develop in game, not via player speculation or outside game news and announcement and post.
am i supposed to learn the lore while i’m not playing? all the new story they added can be nice, but i had to read an abstract to get to a point because i just felt lost at some point. it’s not like seeing a movie or reading a book, and sometimes you just skip dialogs because they seem pointless when there is no cinematic

it is an excellent point, you can agree or disagree in some aspects, but you got my approval overall

yes, you are right, and yet you can add +5 stat of choice +5 agony resistance in rings and trinkets, but yes, ascended should definitely be better than exotic on that i agree

the marriner horn is annoying, but i like the flute and since player seems to like playing instruments an .abc would be better than players actually trying to play lord of the ring theme over and over with that horrible result

but you can add 20% magic find on ascended… or 20% gold… they still give something better and room for improvement

karma, nobody said it and it would be easier to manage karma if it was account bound like laurels

as already stated i agree with this but only if there is no gay/lesbian/transgender/whatever discrimination^^

you can increase with another 15% if you have an ascended amulet with utility infusion slot in which you can put the karma infusion. i bought it with the ranger which is the toon i use in wvwvw

i played ranger in both and even in wvwvw. and i never felt useless nowhere.
just because the warior standing still forever can do more damage both ranged and in close combat doesn’t make it a fun class to play.
as i said before i had nothing to complain about the ranger, i abandoned him because i want magic in my mmo life! and ranger doesn’t feel enough magic for me.

you can go everywhere with a ranger, litterally everywhere no matter the build!

I have a SB, LB ranger and I am not cannon fodder- I love my Ranger

I have had a SB/LB ranger since game launch.
It used to be my main and fun to play, not anymore …
It has been relegated to doing dailies, harvesting mid-level nodes and easy pve content since I leveled a guardian 6 months ago.
Only reason I have not deleted it is because I have100% world on it ..

Currently rangers hopeless and Anet does not have a clue on how to deal with the class. It should be removed from the game and replaced with something completely re-worked, like an archer class without pets.

Ideally I would like to see a proper ranged stealth assassin type class with survival skills. Get rid of the greatsword, axes and warhorn, keep SB LB sword, daggers and torch, add in cross-bows, throwing stars, darts .These become the class ‘mechanic’, range weapons/skills exclusive to the class. Throw out all the nature and pet crap.

I have had a Mesmer since launch and only recently discovered Ranger- by that I mean she is my youngest 80.

I am sorry you feel that way but my experience is the exact opposite.

I love playing her and she is all about that nature plant crap since she is a Sylvari.

To me the druidy racial skills, bows compliment each other perfectly, I even love my pets, I play with a raven and an eagle almost exclusively.

I can take her anywhere and do anything and it is fun- she also does a lot of damage, she has no trouble holding her own at all.

Your suggestions don’t make sense to me and I would not be interested in playing such a class I think.

lol wanted to do this myself, i would go a step further and give the ranger a staff, maybe use it for close/defensive combat somewhat similar to guardian, or maybe skills that summon more spirits of nature that attacks, heals, do conditions, i don’t know not saying they should do everything but are just idea that would give more magic to a class that i abandoned because it was too much skirmisher and too few nature magic

i think the problem is when there is a new update with a gem scavenger hunt all based on skills your profession normally doesn’t have and require no thinking only skilled jumping with no lag.

the halloween scavenger hunt for the mad memories didn’t require any jump at all and was wonderful to undertake!

Except that you barely need any skilled jumping with no lag. All you need is to aim a little green circle correctly.

not entirely true and for some reason in certain points of my jumping no matter how i aimed at platforms that earlier worked properly my toon jumped often beyond the platform, before the platform, underneath the platform or even through the platform like a ghost. the result was falling, death, pay for waypoint. and for some reason in the botfw people were litterally raining from the sky.

the number of people in a jumping puzzle is not an indicator of how much this content is loved, i’m sure there are tons of people that, like me, do jumping puzzle because there are rewards and achievement attached to it. or daily or monthly or something that one way or another push you through that content. in the last two patch lots of achievement required you to go back to some jumping puzzle and in some case even almost complete it. (not all of them were jumping puzzle fortunately).

the sky pirates content was not all based on the jumping puzzle, although the dungeon itself was very platformer… avoid lasers walls, dodge lightning, the first boss itself required a lot of jumping and the way you fought it was very platformer, immune to everything exploit the environment in order to kill it. before the last boss there was an actual jumping puzzle, very easy to complete but it was there. and the final boss either was immune and you had to pull it in an aoe not using your skill because it didn’t worked that way, avoiding the barrage, reanse and repeat.
now compare this to arah for example or even molten facility, back there you still have the feeling you are in a dungeon, in arah expecially there are mistery to uncover, compelling (at least for me) story about ancient lore to discover, hard enemies to fight, lots of tunnels etc etc.

i think players complaining about this game becoming a platformer have this or similar thoughts in mind. it’s not that isn’t enjoyable, it feels just like a different thing entirely.

than sorry if i misunderstood the post, but what’s the purpose of telling players the kite will be soon available when player themselves can already tell it to other player who asks (it was written in the mail with the kite by arenanet) and anyway when it will be released they can see for themselves

if you preview the skin only it looks like heavy armor, if you put it in a pair of light glove though it works, since you can purchase it multiple times, i applied the skin to a pair of white glove to see which armor they looked best with and than i purchased another pair for the actual transmutation

but the reward system doesn’t disappear, so i don’t get what you mean when you say “in time” when you reach 6k achievement you’ll get it, no matter if it is in a week or in a month or more

and if a thief use a shortbow against a ranger the thief must be just that crazy.
i don’t know what people expect from ranger but with both bows they are the faster and the more ranged out there, also the pet is always a pain.
whenever i face a ranger in pvp it’s a nightmare, especially with the autotarget on! my god!!

the other day as a ranger in full berserker gear i could defeat 3 people near a camp in wvwvw, than other two came along and feared me all the way to death so they rallied, but before the new op necro bandwagon came along i was winning on my own. no thief there though. and a thief never killed me ranging anyway, they usually 2 shot me from behind appearing from thin air

i happened to spend real money for gems when i needed transmutation stones and endless sickle. they couldn’t give me anything and i was happy about item i purchased they made me a present (and as far as i know to a lot of people out there) and you sound like the child to a friend’s birthday party crying for his presents

use it while transformed into a baby quaggan, it is the cutest thing in the world

if you go istant jail whenever you try to reach idea incubation lab in rata sum, how can you complete the map 100%, how do you complete the diving master? how (but i’m not sure there is one there) complete the guild trek?

why is this happening? is it related to the living story for some reason? and why do we know about this in the patch notes and not in game?

well trench coats are clothes, not medium armor. most of the medium armor we have in the game are actually heavy armor and most light armor are just underwear or long skirts if you are a male

i don’t like it either i f they didn’t want us to have a full set of celestial armor in the first day, they shouldn’t even allow celestial stats as a whole, what’s the point in taking 1 month to have it?
also if this is not enough you have to learn all the recipes, you cannot discover them by yourself.

but i’m a mesmer, i can’t wear those we light wearer have only the feathered armor

warrios have something really skimpy and it is the pit fighter chest, or the gladiator, both are bare chest (mostly) and sexy, everytime i look my guardian norn wearing this i remember why i created it^^
anyway more sexy outfit for male for every armor type would be very welcome by me^^

ranger is very fast at range, i see some warrior with rifle and bow but i fall asleep everytime they do something

you say doesnì’t feel like a real mage… who said that “real” mages uses casting times when they perform magics? i always imagined “real” mages to be that powerful that they can perform magic with no words or stupid ingredients, they are just magic vessels. and there is no real reason for them to stand still while doing so

the hall of monument one is nice too
btw i think the real problem of trenchcoats is that you see your toon always from behind and after a while it become boring to death. on sylvari is obscene and when they kneel to ress somebody they all look like princess gowns.

i don’t know what designers have against trousers and jackets or just simple medium armor, you know, like a medium armor use to be…

it is infinite, but after 250 times you don’t get anymore achievement points, although the counter still counts

as a player who likes both i like the achievement rewards as they are and i don’t want to make choices about pve and pvp, so far we have both and you are asking for less, or either skins in pve that i don’t know what to do with and where to put. while the pvp has a nice locker i want to fill

spvp is mor fun than wvwvw according to me.
the lattest is just running up and down and basicaly raging when you die because of said running.
spvp it is nice and fun, you have immediate reward if you win and can learn something new about your class.
also you can try any build you like for free like should be also in pve.

he was keeping fireworks, superior runes of nothing (just in case), overstacks of mats (even and most of all tier 5), i could go on but you got the picture!

oh oh the best part was an exotic bow (because it was to cheap to sell but no use at all for him) and 2 account bound amulets again no use for him (just maybe i put it in the mystic forge when i found 2 more…)

sylvari got it right! even we real life human do most of the sex because we enjoy it than because we can reproduce… though we have centuries of culture who make us forget that we do sex because we like it and we like/love the person we do sex with.

leaving non dominant creature alive like sylvari? that would explain how corruption doesn’t work on them. although i don’t think this is the reason and motive of the dragons.

i want to know everithing about arah, it is highly impressive according to me because it has so many ancient lore related stories.
in real life as in mmorpg life i always feel compelled by ancient lore, i don’t really feel the same with the other “modern” dungeons and their stories.

if dungeon were soloable i would spend hours in there exploring every single bit of it clearing every mob i encounter, just like i do in single player games… so far this is achievable only via wiki and the wiki about these dungeon is very lackluster

lore wise i would give more credit to Konig, he always show a deep knowledge about the lore in this game and each time i see his post i keep reading

if i need to make connection through other players storytelling there is a problem in the main story telling.
if truth be told i lost myself in the living story and i finished skipping a lot of dialogs, at the point i don’t know anymore who is who and why

correct i made up my mind and i definitely don’t like them anymore^^
