no they are random, same tower can have different champions, not sure but so i heard

they are in the open world as random events that you can activate at baloons towers, there is a baloon tower in each map

i don’t know why people worries about an economy in a place that doesn’t exist.
the new event is really awesome so far reward wise.

i guess this achievement are meant only for 1 specific class and it’s not the engineer…

i don’t think it will happen, in october when the lion’s arch fountain in the mystic plaza was destroyed by the mad king it took months to be rebuild, and everytime they change it it stay changed for a while. only zommoros mystic forge change fast

i agree with you, i kinda like the living world story as a side story that happens in the world that make it change for good, but there are things that should stay in my opinion (and i’m not talking about stupid minigames). otherwise the story evolves with no repercussions…
so far i’m really disappointed, also this temporary content as it is now don’t keep anyone busy for long time, is not even near to the implementation of fractals. i get the people in the beginning hated it because of ascended gear, but at least it was a shiny new dungeon with multiple levels and a lot to do in it (was because now it became very old and there is nothing to discover in it).

example: we raided the aetherblade retreat dungeons so we could get rid of their base… why that place is not there anymore? even empty, it should be there no evil faction in this world interested in their technology?

the molten facility had the excuse we wiped it out with explosives, what about all the things we didn’t wipe out so far?

minigames, i hate them.
if i had to bring something from another game is the feeling of immersion you can have in lotro. this is very far from that.
also npc should walk and do something instead of standing in the same place for ever

i still have hundreds to toss… for evon of course

the magic find set helps you to find more bags, but when you open them is already late. magic find won’t work on opening bags, chest and mystic forge

completely off topic: i wish joss whedon and his team could write stories for this game, they are doing a great job with marvel movies and comics and they did even better with buffy the comic books and of course the series.

although a low level character doesn’t necessarily need to kill champions in queensdale in a rotation in order to level, they can do hearts and dynamic events in the zone where it stands, if you happen to be near a champion than you can have a strike.

what i mean to say is not that i defend the train to champions even in queensdale, in fact i don’t understand why everyone go in queensdale to begin with. i just wanted to say that a real beginner probably doesn’t even care about it and it’s just happy to see so many players doing events there.

an alt beginner has the advantage to know the game already and if you are really bothered to complete only that kind of event you know where to unlock the waypoint to teleport there, so before you complain about high level characters killing champions just go and unlock the waypoints

for the available options you must be a norn, a warrior or guardian, or both.

i don’t get the need of third ranged weapon, 4th if you consider main hand axe ranged.
i would like for them a magical weapon, or even something like a shield, but a rifle to do what that you can’t do already?

i feel slow whenever i switch to pretty much every other class although…. where are you running so fast?
in dungeon people will speedboost you to skip (and you can also blink), in wvwvw should be better to follow the train of speedboost so you can easily spare yours. in pvp maps are tiny and you are better served with a blink or a portal.

the only content is pve, but most of the time is running from a wp to the place you need to be.
only map exploration felt slow. but that is pretty much the only thing a passive speedboost would improve

i can’t kill them in pvp, and if i do it is their first day there, or they are running some other build that make me easy to target them and therefore kill them.
all the other time they are just interrupting me, blocking me, fear me and by the time i can turn my camera their army is already on me and they are perfectly healed

also you can create an armor that will be likely overwritten by the future ascended armor so, not so useful as it might be

there is a steam ogre in the thaumanova reactor.
the asura won’t do this because they are asura and not human/americans.
the infinity ball storyline although shows that potentially they can do that, but the character and zojja aknowledge this as an evil deed, so probably do a lot of asura.

that said there are lots of means to rule the world and according to me they are already doing it, not that i like, but they do.
there is always asura behind everything, one of them even managed to leash and mind control kralkatorrik.

edit: if you make the asura angry enough they can just create an embargo to all the major cities and we have only dolyaks to move from a place to another… unless we manage to tame centaurs

fractal of the mist, although i would like some new dungeon because after a while you know them too perfectly to be interesting any more.
mad king event was awesome, i couldn’t believe how wonderful it felt.
i liked lost shore.
too pity for the one time only and the mob culling, but i really enjoyed to kill a boss with all the servers (overflows were overflowing like crazy those days).
after that achievement tab got spoiling all the new story they were adding.
oh, i also enjoyed a lot the wintersday istances, the toypocalips and everything else.
flame and frost all of the instances.

the SAB was nice but pointless and out of place. and kicked the start to a change in the game style from a rpg with it’s own background and classess to platformer with we have all the same skills style.
i don’t feel like i’m in a fantasy/cyberpunk setting anymore but in a persistent world with arcade games and hack and slash bosses.

is it possible that he was in pvp or wvwvw where previously an engi pooped out all of his turrets and someway he managed to down an elementalist who rallied on him?
or an elementalist that casted the gliph of i don’t remember the name while attuned to fire that specifically autoress you next time you are downed?

you can do speed runs with a guardian too for that matters. and survive longer anyway despite being one of the classes with the low hp pools ever.

edit: oh and a lot of guardians i know can pretty much solo whatever even the vines in TA and some champions in HOTW.

i a long time ago used to equip the sylvari turrets, but when i understand what “rampage as one” was doing i never came back.
on my mesmer i never even noticed any of the racial skills. it feels a waste.
and frankly on my norn guardian even the books are better than the morphing racial skills.
same goes with every class i played so far

well it changed how people perceived the achievement when the leaderboards started, once the daily gave you 5 points, now they can be 8 if you do everything, 12 if you add pvp daily.
but before the achievement reward, the content based achievement gave another boost to the urge of staying away from the permanent content in order to finish the new one since it wasn’t permanent.
and if you add chests (specific to that event) to that the urge is greater.
as i already said i’m happy with achievement reward, i’m less happy of achievement tied to temporary content for the sake of a useless leaderboard just to create some “fair” competition between players.

there are also plains of ashford, caledon forest, metrica province and wayfarer foothills, but for some reason everybody run in queensdale…

we will soon see a post somewhere asking when the hills comes as a playable class in gw2, in 2 days i have seen asking how to create the mule class and when the commando will be available in game^^

lol, i can kill phantasms just swearing at them, and everybody can kill my phantasm the same way, but they still try to focus on me letting my i mage do my dirty work while i have only to survive…
they don’t get it.

talking about minions, mesmers clones and phantasms are simply ridiculous compared to a single ranger pet or the army summoned by a necro. and they have them summoned the entire time, even with no enemy in site and they don’t disappear by a single swing of a wooden sword…

why nobody is screaming nerf the minion master necro who heals endlessly and doesn’t even need stealth because the targeting system of this game prevents him to be targeted by default?

one day an elementalist just shouted at me while was fighting because i was a mesmer and i didn’t need any skill to beat his class…
if only she had fought instead of chatting, maybe i would have need a little more skill

also some skills on the various bows shoot definitely faster than any rifle i ever seen in game

so that killed me the other day in brisban? can they kill when you go up too?

i gladly renounce to the next minigame for more emotes, sittable chairs, and skins wardrobe, for the last i could renounce to all minigme in the game

in reguard to roleplaying LOTRO did an amzing job, i’m far from being an expert on the RP part in a mmorpg, i usually don’t really see people doing it, but lotro was amazing anyway, you could smoke pipeleaf and create shape of smoke based on the kind of pipeleaf you were smoking… all for role playing puproses because there is no buff nor anything related to smoking.
and that was just an example, you could change even the facial expression of your toon based on mood.
everything contributed to create an atmosphere that really suited that game, even the minigames were not just thrown there with no attention to the lore.
(ah LOTRO publisher is the same of Duneons and Dragons on line, they care about rp).

although i need to say that while i perfectly understand roleplaying in lotro, i don’t get it in gw2, i wouldn’t even know where to begin with

there are games where you can play and elderly woman. but they are single players like dragon age 1 and 2, elder scroll every title they made, mass effect 1, 2, 3.

on line games have only young ladies and their boobs size increases as east you go.

gw2 has one old human face, i would say on an age between 30 and 50?

they already nerfed wall of reflection by transforming projectiles into unblockable projectiles.
i don’t think they will also make it destroy after 3 projectiles, that would be even less useful than a mesmer’s courtain wall.
