whatever you do that makes you earn money has as a consequence the ban (if you earn a huge amount) and a fast patch to make it impossible for others to do the same.
it happened with wintersday jewels recipe, with mini reef riders, and tons of other means.

even if this is possible because they didn’t think very better what they were doing they ban you, if they realize the mistake was not on purpose to exploit they may unban you but reset your inventory to tot hours before the ban. the lattest what happened to an ex guildie of mine that made lots of gold mystic forging the mini reef rider while it was rare.

the content is evolving, the result of this living story will be a new person on the council seat. the idea is wonderful if you think about what we went through so far, although, why should i vote for someone that makes me survive in extreme danger of being killed multiple times in an harsh place, or the other that want me to magic battle other players…

if they want the seat, shouldn’t be them to prove something to me instead of the other way round?
why to show my support i have to die by the hands of people showing the same support?
i kill the pirates for them while they go where? to do what? and this for a wp discount or key discount? for the fractal new dungeon?
edit: how can i trust both if these are the premises?

minigames are nice, but they are not telling me any story so far but grind for achievements

i think that only one build based on a weapon you summon cannot be the solution.

you made your point, but invulnerability is just pretty much a little more than a dodge roll with longer cooldown, not a mechanic considered broken by everyone.
that said, if you strip thieves of their stealth how they are supposed to do what they do in the game? what use would have this class?

the 2500 points in the survival arena totally broke it for me. the top player usually has 90 or 100 points… and if you always win and collect points with the optimistic 100 points as average it’s 25 games per at least 7 minutes of time each…

i never scored more than 40 points^^

i must admit i have exploited this when i wanted to complete the head shot achievement, but i felt dirty every time…

steel chest? maybe i saw once? or was a friend telling me he dropped a steel chest?

and invulnerability is not spammable.
you can swap place with a clone only with a skill on the main hand sword and it’s on cool down, short but predictable. all the other time you thought you were aiming a mesmer and hit a clone was due to stealth or autotargeting acting funny

this is a problem in every instance.

i noticed my gamma go dark whenever i interact with a trading post npc, no matter where i do this.
if i load it by pressing O, this won’t happen although sometimes in LA the TP won’t ever open, but i have no issues in other areas

you use the same settings as mine.
but if you have the chance to see how the game run in a proper modern pc which cost way less than a mac, you can be shocked!
that is my only gripe with mac, you pay that much money for a crunched apple on the back of your laptop, but you are meant to use it only to play with facebook

every patch my performance are getting worse. or my computer getting old? i can never tell, but yeah, at first it wasn’t like that!

that isn’t the only problem, in the survival arena you can get kill while you are still on loading screen in the 2 minutes grace window. and if you are unlucky enough you are just out of the grace window and load directly as a ghost.

sometimes you loot the chest before it spawns.
i do agree that event items seems to override the older normal rare loot chance.
i don’t know if it is something perceived by me or something real, but i have almost hundreds of rare tokens now

also my FREE app for iphone is a better piano than anything you are supposed to pay gems for…

and yes, lotro attention to the music was terrific! i loved how many things and roleplaying you could do there!! and the way they added music is such a fine touch for that game!!

i don’t get why this instruments can’t work as all digital instrument in the world, you can do a note as long as you press the button and stop when the button it’s not pressed…

we are asking this since the very beginning… but i see only trenchcoats and “sexy” norns…
i need to say that the desingers get the concept of medium armor all wrong according to me, the actual medium armor are all clothes, the light armor are ridiculous clothes, while every other real armor in the game is considered heavy, even the pit fighter one…

where is the logic in that??
i want to go around dressed like spartacus not being a warrior though!!

remember only that whatever you decide, the weapon will become soulbount as soon as you equip it, so there is no point to think to a thief or a ranger if you don’t play them as you would play your guardian.

but i’m having fun and never grind an ecto, i just had there while i play the content i liked.
i thought after crafting a legendary which is considered the ultimate end game of all, by a lot of people, i would somehow find the game less fun to play. but so far i was proven wrong, i’m still having fun, i still have something to do.
things i want to collect, or bosses i like to fight, achievement i want to fulfill but none of these feel like grindy to me.

you keep repeating a game about fun and not reward, but this is as meaningless as saying that is grindy.
it is still your problem, and unless you are here for an uprising with more than we want to have fun and no reward, there is no point at all in stating that for you they failed at creating this game!

i’m hving fun here, so yeah mission accomplished.

fortunatelly gw2 give us easily what we need to play the entire game, other than that everything can get time to have it, but you are not in need of everything to be on par with everyone else.
so maybe gw2 team did accomplish something different from other mmo producers…

also, i have ilya and a legendary and i never felt the grind, because i didn’t repeat the same content over and over to get what i needed.
only the lack of luck when it came to precursor…
oh for my legendary it took 750 pile of crystalline dust and i didn’t even know of union waypoint back than and there was no pile of crystalline dust salvaging from ectos

when people say the game is not what they were told to be, i want know exactly what did they want and how…
if you are so sure the game is not what you were expecting (and in most case it was all about your personal expectations), what is it that you want? should be easy to know!

sorry, but the single player console game cannot really being compared to an mmo, despite the fact that you still do and fail in the comparison…
the single player games, have story and no grind, once you finished next year the same producer will release the same franchise, sometimes it will be a success, sometimes a crap, but there you are, they do that for a living, they give you crunch to munch every year.

an mmo is meant to last in time, is not meant to have a release every year, is meant to keep player playing. so if the reward system was similar to a single player game, once you finished that’s it. you have nothing else to do.
the mmo so give you long term goals, achievement and add content over time to give you something to do.
if you want be so blind to deny this because you have at all cost prove that mmo are kitten and single player are good, i really don’t understand the point in doing so.
what are you accomplishing? even if you are right than what? we all stop playing (and there are people like me and many others that still enjoy this kind of game and don’t feel the grind her i felt in other games) and go for single player game because doing so will make you happy?

edit: on a side note final fantasy is at chapter xiv, and every single player they made was one worst than the other, despite rewards and what so ever the story didn’t count player actions, the character were pre made, and there was a title final fantasy xii that at some point didn’t even need you to play at all, you had only to move their main toon around and press x to advance in dialogs.
the characters would fight on their own!
the story were always a big save the princess/help the princess/beat your nemesis and get the princess all covered by wonderful graphics and pointless digressions.
go to point a to b was an endless grind of mobs that spawned random making exploring an area the most tedious thing in the game…
at least in a even crappy mmo i can decide who the character i create is and the story… well unless george martin write one, i guess will never see a change in the classic, good against evil… even the lord of the ring story was that naive.

the difference is that there is limited amount of jumping puzzle you can do, and once you finished that’s it! but an unlimited amount of players you can kill each single day of your virtual life. also multiple tiers of that achievement…

i popped up only to say that when some people come to age for voting they will be doomed to be utterly disappointed^^

if you fail an event so it can stat again and you can have more loot by failing it it’s an exploit of the event as far as my opinion is concerned, and you don’t need to do this to have anything in this game.
i have everything i wanted in this game and i never needed to do this!

i can agree that the means to exploit shouldn’t be there in the first place, but that is not an excuse, let me put this with an example:
if you find a shop open with no cameras and no owner are you free to take whatever you like because well the owner should have thought it better?
in my opinion, if you do you are a thief never the less.

i’m “raging” only because many other players as well as i are in the middle of loot nerf even if we didn’t do anything to deserve it.
i will still do events, but i will loot nothing from them even if i never failed them on purpose.

anyway i’m gay, my skin is always perfect, and rage make me even better^^

How would I stop this from happening? Easy; remove DR, standardize loot table by zone and mob type, normalize drops by mob dificulty (normal/veteren/champion). Done and done, no more even farming issuses.

well apparently this is exactly what they addressed recently. and as far as i know every champion world bosses gives you at least a rare. also if DR is such a pain, what the hell are all these farmers doing for hours at the very same spot for the very same event?

to get gold for what anyway? and why do you need all this farming?
i have a legendary and i never failed an event on purpose, not any people i know did, and some of them have legendaries or almost too.

what’s the point than in creating another event without loot just for farming before this happen?

i think i made it clear why i think it’s players fault and not arenanet fault, that can be only my opinion but i guess some other people thinks exactly alike, but of course we have just to rage at them because we cannot fail events like grenth, lyssa, arah, balthazar, melandru… oh it is so unfair arenanet!!
can you guys pay the rent and the bills with the gold from gw2? because if that is possible, i could start farming too

i know what you said but why if i want to complete an event i have to wait for the farmers to get tired? i finish an event and go to another, this is what i’ve done in 8 month of game play.

I am on one of the servers that farms this event (or attempts to) and in the guild that is usually responsible for starting it. I realize that for a lot of people it seems unfair that we ask them not to kill the giant, which in turn delays the opening of the Arah dungeon, but you need to take a minute to look at it from our perspective as well.

We’re a huge PvE guild that focuses on group activities. We were a large part of the other significant farm locations (Union, etc). Time and time again we’ve seen every viable farm location nerfed into the ground, leaving only CoF and CoE as steady sources of gold farming. And really, who wants to run one of those dungeons for the thousandth time?

So what do we do? We look for events such as this one that have high amounts of mobs to kill which drop good loot (bags, t6, rares, etc). When we find one we get our entire guild together, run the event through its pre-event chain, and start farming.

Unfortunately this event shows up on the gw2stuff world boss list for the High Wizard. So what happens is our guild puts a good hour into the pre events to start the farming, then as soon as it appears on the site tons of randoms show up to get their daily loot chest. They start auto attacking the giant and we kindly ask them to stop and farm with us for awhile or simply hop to another server if they’re looking to do Arah. But no, they instead tell us to kitten off and continue killing the giant.

So it goes both ways. We realize that this event more than likely isn’t meant to be farmed and that people want to complete it. But at the same time we’re the ones putting all the work into setting it up for us and others who want to farm. The giant will die in time from the NPCs attacking it, stray AOEs, and so on. Just give us our hour or two of farming before that happens

even if your guild start the event you don’t have any rights to stop people that want to complete it, and even worse let them die and shout names at them if they do,
you know what? if i were one of the people you let die in order to keep farming i would call up my entire alliance just to shut you down.
i’m not against farm, you can kill mobs around not exploiting events in order to do so, because this have only one consequence, the loot on this event will be stopped for everyone and only because of you that don’t have any measure of common sense.
if you weren’t all that greedy we could do so many events chains with so much loot in all the maps, but we can’t because you never have enough and you are to lazy to change run from one event to another, you just want the endless one.
this ruin the game fro every single player and this game has no more loot because of this.
you brought it on yourself!!

they should ban all of you and put the game loot as it was for the people that actually enjoy the events and don’t fail them on purpose!!

mobs will be the same old same old.
pvp doesn’t have stats on armor.
wvwvw the large number of players will always win.

it’s not devastating, although you can only sell your crafted dyes after they have been identified.

also pve and pvp are separate only by a couple of clicks, or by players themselves, there are lots of players that walk the 2 worlds quite often and the economy didn’t collapse

i don’t know, i never found it close after they changed it on my server, although people on my server used to farm only penitent/shelter, you rarely saw someone to lyssa or wherever else.

the gate of arah dungeon are always open anyway, so preventing the event doesn’t make it impossible to do the dungeon, that said it’s always bad when people shout at other people because they want to complete the event and they want to farm it.

what will happen will be turning cursed shore in no drop shore, but yeah, i think if anyone want to complete an event that should be done

and also a good solution for the invasion of the badges of honor^^

the fractal cliffside killing with the cursed hammer counts toward hammer master achievement…
i know because i never used an hammer but i have more kills with that that with my focus…

these are not solution, everybody know how to buy bags and store things, but a simple deposit collectible as it should be would be fine!

or even a wallet for currency. keeping them in mule alts or waste space is not a solution, is player adaptability!

also pvp glory can buy you bags… i would be happy to spend all my flood of BOH into bags
