i can’t help myself, i never cared about any form of achievement in the game. or else, i did, casually, or as something different to do while i was alone and bored. so i completed a lot of them and there are some i want to complete because i enjoy, like the fashion one, i could do with “emperor” title (even if queen would be better for my male character^^).
anyway, i know those achievement are there and in time i can complete them all, even the mini collector.
i don’t enjoy keg brawl very much, so i do it when daily pop up, i try to play the game as intended while i try also to complete that daily. i feel no rush in completing any of the keg brawl achievement and i don’t care about achievement chest, i like them and i’m happy they exist now, but i don’t feel the urge to get one anytime soon.

but as living story is concerned i can’t help myself. no matter how much i try to convince myself i don’t need them, unless it is impossible for me to complete them like the mad king jumping puzzle or the wintersday one, i want to do it, even if i don’t like, because they’ll never be back. maybe, or maybe not.
i don’t like them because i cannot do it casually, if i could, than the story would be very different.

anyway it’s a problem i have and shouldn’t concern anybody else than me, but when i see people bashing on those who want to complete their achievement at all cost, the faster the better, well, they should be concerned of their own problems and not ours.
i have a problem with time gated content and is my own problem not yours.

the good thing is i never ask nobody to let me win, although i asked somebody if they needed to and i don’t feel guilty for letting them win.
i do the same in pvp jumping puzzle, if people don’t attack me, i don’t attack back (too pity we cannot talk to players from other servers). i don’t care it is pvp and i am supposed to kill them! i have plenty of places to kill people in this game already.

actually some ideas not in this specific post are really nice

how long an achievement should last is not an excuse to not allow us to buy things in stacks.
there is a lot of things in this game that you need to buy more than 1 copy and the only way is double clicking or single clicking the buy button, and for some of those items you also have to click on a confirmation button.

take the icy runestones as an example, it’s true that you don’t buy them every day, but this is not an excuse to make me click on a button and a confirmation pop up 100 times!! for a total of 200 clicks plus moving the mouse to the pop up

the ritualist spirits became the engineer turrets and the ashes the toolkits…
it’s a pity because i miss the feeling of magic in medium classes in gw2.

why everyone insist that the class shouldn’t be tied to religion anymore?
i mean, if i being italian and everything want to become shintoist or muslim or whatever i can.
why this should not be possible for other races in a game?

unless they want to slowly destroy the idea of deity in the lore, keeping them strictly for the humans (that are becoming more and more elves like) as a cultural thing and not anymore a source of any power.

either way shapeshifting must not necessarily relate to some god…

zerkers run out of dodge rolls as fast as any other supporter, but than the supporter have to die to ress the zerker.
after the mesmer nerf i changed my spec from tank condition (carrion gear+toughness) in damage and condition (rampager+critical damage) and while before i was never one shotted by anything, not even lupicus with 2 grubs eaten, now, i’m as squishy as a tomato. yes my damage output is amazing, but my dodge rolls, and all the survival skills are constantly on cooldown. and only now lupicus can 2 shot me (i didn’t gave up all my survivability).

people that believe that this game is based on 1 shot skills never used different stats than berserker and they simply don’t know.

also, there are class that if they go berserker is just silly! i’m not talking about warriors with their huge pool of health, or thief with their utilities to avoid damage and survive.

this because you are a ranger and couldn’t stop to autoattack a wall of reflection?
i agree that guardian are very good balanced class with a lot of skills that are actually useful, and in the hand of skilled player it is very powerful, but that doesn’t mean unbeatable or overpowered.

and nerf is never a solution, nerf is just asking for vengeance

i compromised with a hybrid build for my mesmer not full condition centered, i still have a fair amount of condition damage (even though really low if you look at a full condition build) and a fair amount of direct damage. according to what i run i boost the direct damage or the condition damage. and so far this is the only solution i found.

on the other hand how a pve locker would work? it transform the equipment you put there into skin, or should it retain the stats?
because in the first scenario, you still need to override at least the last skin you have or create a new piece of gear in order to use the skin, in the second case you cannot store more than one piece of the same armor in case it has different stats. or if the stat of a named are transmuted with the stat of a crafted gear, if you have a locker where the piece of equipment go? to the crafted slot or the named slot despite it being transmuted?

well i know i’m a little confusing, but i would like to have a solution, because it feels bad override skins you spent time to get, transmutation is not really an option any more according to me.

edit: on a side note, i remember LOTRO was amazing outfitting wise, in your hero panel you had panel with outfit option that would appear as skins while retaining the stat of the armor you were wearing. and it had a good wardrobe system.

best way to do it is checking the alt wearing it, if you still have the skin, if not just preview and try to remember.
unfortunately i don’t know if they will ever add any tracker in the game (some people had the same problem with the dungeon path already ran)

well i said something nasty about the living story, but this is just weird.
ellen kiel and evon gnashblade didn’t appear from thin air at all. i don’t like them and i don’t know nothing of them, but they are there from quite sometimes.
roxxy and braham are still there talking to you if you go (i like them instead, we had some time to bonding).

anyhow, if you don’t watch the news i guess even in your reality you won’t know how your world is changing, so start reading the email that npc send to you, also go talk to some herald, and if you just don’t want to talk to anybody and just do stuff, than you should just go straight where npc with big stars or flags over their head (but if you do so, than you cannot complain about a lack of story.

in the end people answer your question according to question itself. if they answer just do the achievement, you probably didn’t asked the right question, because as i can see in this thread a lot of people just explained to you what and where very well

seriously? will healing power stat ever be improved, or it is just there to waste a stat?

i really love how pvp works, the locker the stats and everything, and when you are tired of a build you can change it easily for free. and when you are sick of a class, in 1 second you can have a second class ready to go!

but if you do so, some class conditions build would become even more useless or too good to be true.
as an example you provided since i play a mesmer the result would be:
if i spec in condition damage, i’m wasting stats in pve because of how confusion works (or better won’t work), although i could go full direct damage and have conditions that weakens and cripple you with me not wasting any point in condition damage but investing all of them in crit chance and power prcision.

that said i really believe condition need some rework because every day i’m thinking about giving up all my condition damage (and i already gave up a lot of it for a nice chance to crit) and just do what everyone is doing go full berserker!

i bought my mac for music composition, i know mac has a name also for rendering and video editing, but so far i was proven that pc can do the same and in some aspects they are definitely better, other than cheaper.
the only real difference is speed and i never have to bother with viruses but other wise at least for me it was a waste of money for a brand

i think he really thinks and believe in what he says, the only problem you have with this is the fact that he thinks differently than you.

of course this is my opinion on him, and he can actually be whatever he likes and be moved by whatever sentiment he has. but as far as i know you just hate him because he shows common sense but he uses against some lack of it

gw2 have arena with free tournament of 5v5 with point capture game style.
if your team wins you get gear that is only cosmetic, but you also get glory to buy chests with random gear in it (also cosmetic).

stat wise you are instantly lv80, you trait as you like for free and can buy runes and sigil for free.

so since rank 1 you can theoretically compete with a rank 50. the only difference is experience and knowing the game style and classes pro and cons. also the maps and tactics and so on.

world vs world is slow paced and require you to gain exp and be a real lv 80 in order to compete with another lv 80.
but if you die there it means something, either repair cost or running back where the battle was.

well at least i will not disappointed if something will be implemented differently than i know it all people would assume!
because i don’t really know what they plan to do, what if they decide they’ll keep temporary magic find buffs? they didn’t talk about it either because you are right or just because the don’t plan to remove them. i really don’t know and actually i don’t care. if they stay there or not.

i gave up my magic find gear even before the article came up, if you want to know and besides the guilded infusion or whatever is called i have no problem with the removal of magic find from gears, if you happen to read what i said in other posts talking about it, i’m quite happy with the removal, they also can keep the laurels i used to buy the infusion, because i don’t need laurels for the moment, and when i’ll need them i already have more than enough for a full set of whatever.

anyway, they said to use the tokens before the living story will be moved to next arc, but when you vote you’ll be granted an endless pile of buttons that in no way you can really use once you finished your achievement other than have a stupid icon on your shoulders…

also as i said, i don’t care about what boons they give, they can be healing power or something else, but at least they still can be used instead of just trashed. but i guess jumping on the bash people for no reason bandwagon is always more thrilling.

well they talk about gears and the buttons as far as i’m concerned are consumables, and since they didn’t yet release any specific on how this will work, yours assumptions are valid as mine.

they never said they will remove magic find from buffs anyway.
i agree with OP, i don’t care what buff will it be, but can be a nice use of buttons otherwise useless

there is no one that plays in whiteside ridge (or at least that i know of), but i’d gladly become one if they ask me

but too many resurrector will pop up on daily reviver^^.

there are some fights where ressing downed players means be downed as well.
i’ll never ress people that stay under the feet of jormag where there is a condition that deals 400 damage per second at 3 stacks.
i won’t ress people at grenth event, especially dead people, while i could try downed.

i always ress people when doing so is not a worthless risk. and in general open world before doing it i’ll just ask if you are there or afk.

have 1 stack to 50 instead of 2 conditions to 25 (especially conditions that work so differently) make a lot of difference.

also there are skills that deal more damage based on the number of conditions on enemies.

so no need to increase cap, very good to increase the number of conditions on enemy.

a long time ago, the mesmer staff could deal confusion as autoattack random condition near bleeding and burning. same the scepter and trident, so even if mobs attack happen once a year, applying it that constantly was worth something.

edit: fair is fair, why my confusion last so short and mobs confusion on me last for ever? kittenes!

what’s the point in having a tank if the mobs just act on their own will and chase who they like?
even the guardian can pull them only with skill 5 of greatsword, but guardians cannot tank bosses, the bosses just will follow who they like best.
and anyway classical tank role is suicidal in certain battles.

you can but the pact weapon are lv 80 weapons so you need the transmutation crystal, which you can find in black lion’s chest or buy them directly from the trading post

i like the idea, but please i don’t want to do arah path 4 anymore for the rest of my life…
i would have been useful before dungeon master title to know, which one where the path that i needed to complete for some dungeons

i think the guardian is very similar to a dervish+paragon more than a monk+paragon, instead of enchantment he has always boon on and well the 3 virtues works like enchantment, they only need a scythe and some shape shifting

i love my ejaculating rainbow staff, so i’m a satisfied legendary customer.
the only gripe is on how long it took to have a precursor, anything else it was fairly easier.

i try sometimes to play to gw1 again, but it feel a little weird. it is a great game, but i find it difficoult to come back to no dodge, no jump and relearn all those skills to use it effectively

yes please, i want to buy it too, not a brick a day commuting with something though, just straight away, with money influence and whatever is asked.
it would be awesome, there could be trophies from the guild missions accomplished and there could be guild events designed around the halls.

horns is the only thing i like about charr, i wish human could have horns too, it would be perfection^^

edit: sorry, i forgot the point here, yeah helm for charr should show horn and for that matter should show also hairs for everyone else and ears in case of asura

on a side note i know the future of the living story will be brighter, and i like the concept, i trust anet enough to know that when this lviing story arc will be finished and we will have the bigger picture everything will make sense.

a +5 is useless unless you can craft it with just 5 of the t6 mats you need, plus karka shells and passiflora.

also they don’t have mystic forge.
in divinity’s reach to run from trading post to crafting station you also have to go down a layer. the blac citadel for me is the ugliest place ever created in an mmo.
LA, the grove, fields of ruin ebonhawk vanguard outpost and wvwvw home borderlands, are better suited for crafting and selling, i use to go to do all my stuff in fields of ruin also because the loading time is shorter, while in LA take ages, and i rarely use the mystic troll.
but overall LA is the best place to be and people all gather around the bank and the mystic forge so it’s also easy to spot someone you know and inviting people to group

well the alternative to the cannon is auto attack and dodge…. so well there is no real difference…

my problem is with the currently minigames driven storyline

they do say the new update is available in hours or 2. there is also a count down from 3 minutes to the logout.
and more importantly in the istances you have even more time to exit and re enter (although good luck if you happen to be in arah path 4)

in gw1 there were
2 heavy classes
5 light classes
3 medium classes

why it is considered balancing having a third heavy class?

also don’t play a race because their women don’t wear clothes is not a solution.
it is also strange that to be covered you have to wear male armors like charrs and asuras do.

i do instead, and i would like to see seasonal change in the weather not necessarily based on our planet seasons…
i would like to see sunset and moon rising, moon phasing or something environmental only that would be more immersive when you play.

edit: wouldn’t be nice if some moonless night could look like the night in the ice fractal forest? it’s so dark in there…

i like my elites skills despite the fact they are on a long cooldown.
choosing a trait to short the cooldown on weapons and utility skills means you are not choosing a trait that do something else. so short by default all cooldowns means you have more traits available.

on a side note, of all lord of the ring characters, frodo was the only one to never be an hero, only the escape goat/martyr

i would keep untoched the race personal story part.
throw in the bin all the rest.
i don’t want to join an order, why should i? i can work alongside with them but i don’t want to join an order i do not relate to them, they do their thing and i do mine. all of the three feel most the same, every mission you get end up in a fight, the only difference is one is more scholar driven (only one mission is about exploring and researching with a very little fight), the other spy centered (only one mission is about infiltration and drinking with pirates with a little more fight) and the oder more honestly battle forged (all of them are combat driven).
they all end up in claw island the same way but with a different death companion and at that point i never yet feel any attachment to the order i was ordered to chose, and than i know trehaerne is asked to lead us all because he didn’t join any order… what??

i would keep some npc from precedent story arc, what the hell happened to quinn my street friend or faren for the human noble origin? why can’t i have them helping me in this?

i don’t have any suggestion though, i’m not a writer, but i found the story too fast paced and some people appear and die in the same mission and you cannot care less about them, making their death really pointless and even predictable.

The story is only the beginning. They even TOLD you that in the scenes. If you think all heroes do nothing about heroic stuff…think again.

Right now, we’re doing other stuff. Fighting dragons isn’t important but helping keep the peace isn’t a bad job for a hero. Nor is throwing your support behind a potential captain’s council candidate.

I think standard heroic fantasy has been done to death. Frankly I wish there weren’t even dragons in this game.

sorry, i didn’t explain myself very well.
i think the politics could have had a lot of potential and it is very original for an on line game, and i don’t always want to fight dragons.

what i want is:
if i have to vote for this or that character my choice should be made story wise, not because they add one dungeon or the other.
also, i should do things like supporting because the story take me to it, not because i browse the achievement panel and see what’s next to do.
i don’t even mind a non linear story, and i like the fact that despite a bigger threats people still fight and plot agains each other, it is very good stuff, but i don’t feel involved in any of this, the storytelling is not compelling enough to make me care about.

when flame and frost started i was more interested in what was going on, and the memento collecting or the sign post building was just a part of that (although i shouldn’t be finished because i reached the 75 point of the achievement but because i built every sign post and found the memento for every npc who required it, like a scanvenging hunt. i loved the halloween scavenging hunt more than any other minigames added so far).

the first part of the personal story, the one about your very character creation choices is a very fun and enjoyable story for me… than you become more and more anonimous and in the end you are nobody voting for the next dungeon to add not the person that will add it
