it’s the mesmer for me too, no matter how long it take to kill things with conditions, it will take long to kill me, and every time i switch to something else i feel like i’m missing something or like i’m doing nothing.
i simply can’t do without an army of me.

my mesmer is already chatting a lot whenever he got a boon or a condition…
and his greatsword his the noisiest thing in the game… though i would love him say something when he creates clones or shatter them

yeah i miss ac as it was back than. it was good for leveling, fun to do and a nice starting dungeon, now is… well now isn’t!
i hated subdirector null, i think it’s cheap to add as a difficulty a mechanic that slowly kill you not because you failed a dodge or something, just arbitrarily, so you have to nuke the boss as fast as you can. Same goes for mobs like karka queen that fails only because it’s on a countdown!
the fight was nice as it was but they have to add a timer to make us all fail it (karka queen in my server is up since weeks).

need 250 stacks of t6 mats for all the cool stuff in the game? nobody drops them.
need pink drop from fractals to infuse your gear? nobody drops it

i went crazy when i was missing just one, i was so sure i did all of them and since i had no clue on which i did, i run through all of them again. i really hated it!!

you can also try some level more than you zone especially if there are people around it’s not that bad, there will be a moment when you will stop even watching what level the zone you are in is.

hi guys, i was wondering wich graphic resolution can i use to still enjoy the beautiful environment but not experience bad lag?
if i choose the autodetect everything goes on low qulity with no post processing, but if i choose best appereance it all goes to lag and fall in fps to 1.

anyway i never had more than 14 fps even on best performance, although in a range of 10-14 fps the game doesn’t lag so bad. i noticed a huge difference when i played in a real pc with good graphic card and since than i feel so disappointed with my mac…

what do you use?

Every armour class complains about their limitations.

• If you’re medium, you’re gonna have to wear a longcoat almost without exception.

• If you’re light, you’re going to have a skirt or robe.

• If you’re heavy you can forget wearing anything soft, it’s all metal clasps, plates and spikes.

As a light armour user I often look longingly at the straps and buckles all the medium armours get, and wish I could have an outfit that didn’t have a skirt

the only answer i found to this were the ascalon catacomb leggins, they are actual pants with no bum cape!!
or if you are a human the tier 1 or 2 but they look a little bulky and tier 2 have butt cape (sort of)

I think anet simply went insane if they’re going to just give thief and mesmer new condition, especially condition like that. With current mechanics you need to MOVE to avoid their attacks (which somewhat instakill you if you don’t) and now you’d just get damage for doing it. Way to go. Clever. Good work etc.

I just hope this also means thief and mesmer get a meganerf at same time. i.e. Mesmer GS loses 20% dmg and vuln from autoattack and thief loses stealth from dagger 5.

the sad thing? i didn’t even need skill to kill him/her i didn’t even have to kite actually…

we are talking like torment will deal 1k damage per second 100k damage if moving…
and like it lasts for ever…
it will be like 1s for 10 damage you’ll see

i don’t even think it’s possible to create such a delicate build…

mesmer autoattack doesn’t deal vulnerability, is the attack number 2! the torment according to the unofficial patch notes it will be the skill 4 of off hand sword… it is a counterattack, not spammable (tell me how many mesmer with off hand sword did you met in pvp).

same goes for thief, i don’t know the class, but i read poison on 1 attack has been replaced with torment.

all of this and mesmer attack apparently will be nerfed thanks to people crying over it for ever and ever.

keep in mind that at least for mesmers high condition means low dps already, so no, i don’t think mesmer will be over powered, they will be the same with major nerf on the gs. i wish they gave us back the real deal of mesmers… confusion

are you guys forgetting that changing build in this game means change armors and weapons and trinkets? it’s not the 3,5 silver…
i wish there were armor with no stats at all, like in pvp!
it would be also awesome for changing look without using stupid transmutation stones, i hate stats in armor…

there are already unofficial change notes somewhere out there, and they said they will change traits line and skills for all classes

does anybody realize that usually high condition damage means low burst damage? yeah you can’t move, but nobody is going to oneshot you!

reading the first part of the thread seems people forget there is not only pvp in the game, as a mesmer since confusion became a rare or even useless condition to apply, even more in pve i welcome the change, and i’m sure it will come with a price…
anyway, people manage to kill me in pvp quite a lot, it’s true there is some player i don’t even have to kite, but people can kill me (from each class also), an OP class should never be beaten i guess?

i forsee a storm of “nerf the mesmer already” especially from people that never played one!

the perverted logic of the players in this game is that once the event is over, skins instead of rising in price they just decrease even more. look what happened to the super adventure box skin, the gs was 60ish gold at the beginning (you could always have the same skin for free just running the content) and ended up costing 34 or even less now…

i would dare suggest something very bold… just make me chose the quantity of item i want to buy, than ask me for confirmation and done!

actually i like very much the dance, i did it with silly clothes and also naked and it never get old for me, and i didn’t mind to switch character and do it again just to get 50 effigies!
and yes, dancing around a bonfire is a very ancient ritual.
also, if you read the mail, the festival organizer putted those effigies along the way, so no, i’m not suspicious, i defeat dragons, should i fear poor steampunk terrorist?^^

my mesmer never did 20k damage with shattering… just saying

i don’t like pointless chat during a fight because i’m not good at multitasking so if i start a chat i’m downed a second after, and if i’m fighting i’m not answering.
i don’t think the community is cold or something else, everybody seems quite because they are already chatting with guild or party or even in teamspeak or what else.
despite the lack of communication i never felt alone in the game (always on in ts, guild mates are even too chatty for my tastes and whenever i ask a question about something new, someone in map chat always answer!!).
so what’s the point in saying great fight after a jormag run, what was so great to celebrate there?

i think an ingame voice chat would be a really nice feature for all of those player with no ts or in random group, i really would like it. push to talk it’s so much better than typing!!

the mf boost is gone, i didn’t check blooming passiflora though, i completely forgot about them

i killed the queen in prime time and everything was fine, she also fled and suddenly spawn in another outpost.

i tried to kill her after daily resets, with a bunch of players (same number would easily take down all the world bosses so far but grenth and balthazar). and the event failed all the time at the point of giving up. so yes, when the southsun event are over, my guess is nobody will bother with the karka queen, which is a pity because as i said it was a different fight in fact is challenging but failing it because it is on a count down is cheap.

so if they actually do round tables why do you complain they don’t?

i don’t hate anything either since i don’t like to waste feeling on people that doesn’t really exist in my life, but i read this forum and all i see is people comparing guild wars to a steak house and talking about wow.
and you know a conversation about gw2 is over when people for sake of argument use hyperboles, or talk about another game and how it’s better/worst.

about telephone company i worked so much in their call center that i know better how much they care about their customer opinion based on how much they pay them…

if arenanet sits on round table with us, not only they won’t have time to release anything new, but they will probably give up with games and humanity.
also, us is not 12 people like king arthur knights, we are a lot and we “hate” each other, and we hate people that want things we hate.

my entire point was:

this event will be done only in some server when the southsun fever will be over, because they created a new grenth.

and when i said it punishes berserker build i din’t meant to say they die, you are to sensitive over this, i said that the damage output is very low, while condition is nice.
at least i noticed the difference for my toon when i tryed pure dps and when i tryed conditioning.

that is true, i meant to say that this time the direct damage is really low, and actually this is the first boss where condition damage is an asset… though the event is too much easy to fail. it is a pity because i wanted a boss event were my condition weapon doesn’t feel useless

that is what i did too actually, but i didn’t play the game normally, i just tried to farm the money since the crystalline dust stack i needed was just too much. that means sometimes i played content just because it was more rewarding that things i liked to do. when i started to collect money for my legendary the world event didn’t give you a guaranteed rare drop, and the world event were always my favorite content (but jormag).
i earned most of the money i needed by playing events in penitent/shelter, i just stopped to do it now because i only need the precursor.
and now i play the game normally, i don’t care anymore of mats, and i gave up on the chance to have a precursor by luck, so since i don’t want to play farm to have my 615 gold for the legend i just sit there and play what i like and if money come ok, if don’t than arenanet can shove the legend and his rng in a dark place where the sun don’t shine

and they never be able to get the old events and festival points…
a leaderboard on achievement point is just that pointless

whoever says that most part of getting a legendary is playing the game normally except for lodestone, i want to know how normally playing you can get 750 pile of crystalline dust to craft bifrost…
because in my normal gameplay i managed to have 100ish and this when loot and farming weren’t nerfed…
after the nerf i had to buy all of it and/or had it from friends

well i tryed the mystic clover recipe and i got 34 crystalline dust, sold for 12 gold something.
if i were to buy it, i would probably ragequit though

i think once the southsun live story is over nobody will be back there, we had enough and the karka queen with her double rare reward isn’t enough to go back.
this is why:
one of the pre event is the perfect new farming spot (i will not say witch one, but smart people already fond out), so not completing it gives more income than killing the karka queen.

the karka queen may or may not spawn.

the karka queen is easily failed and the only waypoint available to get to her when she is up is owain refuge, that is far far away. any other route will kill you due to endless crazed stuff along the way that you can’t skip.

the fight punishes berserkers and people in this game doesn’t even know what another build is (edit: not anybodies fault, dps is more rewarding than survivability but with this specific event the damage output seems to be worthless unless all the stack of armored boon in the karka queen are gone, while condition is still fine).

you have to throw egg at her but nobody knows it and everybody does 10 damage or zero, but they still autoattack.

she is always out of range for no reason.

she is on a short timer and resets her hp.

did you see what you have done here? you created another grenth or balthazar, with a lyssa farming spot.

well people complained about easy content, and now people complain about hard content… i guess they’ll never learn to stop listening…
anyway, this all southsun thing is antiberserker, vit and tough will help a little, but not at the point to be important in this game yet

elder dragons are things for expansions i guess, not for monthly content

i have found zero precursors and i did everything in this game, every content.
i only never did some dungeon path.
i just killed the karka queen and i got a pletora of karka shell, a medallion of the traveller, a rare speargun and a rare medium helm…
i guess i’m in the medium luck since i find rares and exotic here and there, but somehow the game won’t give me unidentified dyes and precursors.

For the record, I’ve got all my precursors from mobs/chests

yes, you found 3 i found 0. chances are as i said you’ll find more, and i don’t.
luck is account bound and you are not the only one that found more than 1 that is why i say this.
a guild of mine found to ticket for molten weapons and 1 ticket for sclerite (he is not playing much more, otherwise he probably would have found more).
the same person the same luck. (he also got a precursor from the forge just saying).
maybe your luck is not in the forge, but you can’t really complain about it…

the reason why we suffer no farm and no precursor policy is because at the beginning players speed run content getting everything so fast that arenanet decided to punish everyone else that came in the game later. the new comers must not have everything easily, or else what do we give them to do otherwise?

and as i said, she would be just shocked, so much is changed, and friendly charrs are everywhere, if she is not blind she’ll see the dragon menace and maybe she wouldn’t be a separatist.
(she witnessed the wake of primordius and the disappearance of dwarves to fight the elder dragon… and had a friend charr also!

besides his great grandson pretend to be in love with a queen while he is in love with a charr, everyone knows that…

edit: i think also the blaming a race because their ancestors from 250 years ago were “terrorist” isn’t a rational thought, not that i expect gwen to be rational since no npc seems to be anyway)
