Chronophantasma is a no brainer to phantasm builds. Quickly spawn 2 phantasm, mind wrack and they use their skills after the daze.

Time Catches Up is funny and so good.

Chrono is very good, I feel like you’re missing a lot for not going chrono.

I’m in love with the Chrono for sure aswell! Having a blast with a Boonshare build on it!
The shield is totally my new fav. off hand aswell! Echo of Memory with Chronophantasma just breaks people in a one vs one! Hammer warrior is in speical fun xD

Continuum Split doesn’t reset shatters or healing ability.

Illusionary Reversion is really strong.

Continuum Split does reset my shatters, if I use the shatter under Continuum Split, it also reset my healing skill when I use it ther! Where did it happen for you it did not work?

First thing I noticed is Echo of Memory/Deja Vu is apparently not considered an Illusion skill for the purpose of traits. Illusionist’s Celerity doesn’t reduce its CD, neither does Persistence of Memory.

Yeah I have noticed that aswell, which is a bit annoying, since I wanted to see how low CD i could make hehe

We might as well get one up sooner or later! Been playing around with mine since beta begun, but will have more feedback later on today!

But so far I would just like to express how amazing Chronophantasma is now, and I simply love that the Phantasm are resummoned at range instead of melee as first show! It’s great!
Like so Ilusionnary Reversion feels amazing to play around with, and gives another great option for illusion uptime beside DE, but is amazing with DE aswell.
Have only been fooling around doing some PvE, where all the new skills have felt pleasent to use, but I will come back with some balance feedback when I have tried it in PvP later today!

But so far he is amazing!
How is it feeling for the rest of you guys?

oh yeah, and awesome that you allready have added a Bountifull Dis and Master of Fragmentation part to Continuum split (5 seconds resitance and slow when you return), both feels very nice, in special the 5 seconds on resitance is amazing

Lovely video Holl, I have been enjoyng boon share builds a lot aswell!

Personal I’m testing a Chaos/Inspiration/Illusion these days, which is a lot of fun aswell

Curious if anyone else seemed to notice this, but Runes of Altruism appear to be granting 6 stacks of might instead of the 3 listed. Just wondering if this is occurring for anyone else? Not a gamebreaking thing by any standard, but still makes them quite a bit better than I had originally planned.

I didnt want to say anything but Altruism with the inspiration line is bugged atm and gives double its benefits. When it gets fixed eventually (If ever) I will swap the rune to pack.

I have silent been enjoying the 6 might stacks from Altruism now aswell! ^^
Tho, I have swapped for Centaur doing the stronghold weekend to share some lovely swiftness around for the NPC’s and found using Mirror I would often have 1 min + swiftness! Which where lovely to boonshare for the doorbreakers!

So I agree with most posts here about the Revenant really feels underwhelming and weak.
I have only been doing sPvP with it, where I tried make a condition dmg build work without succes. The key problem here seems to be how insane lackluster duration all of the conditions the revenant can apply are, and in very low amount:
Mace got a slow AA that apply one stack of torment for 4 sec and on the third you get 6 secs of posion but it rarely hits.
Mace 2 apply 1 burning stack for 2 seconds, in an AoE fire field lasting 3 seconds, and while the uptime of the skill is great, it really ain’t doing much dmg with the burn changes because it never get’s to more then 2 stacks, and that’s if people stand still in it. Great for stacking might tho.
Mace 3. got no condi.
Axe 4 gives chilled, which is nice, and awesome mobility, tho low dmg
Axe 5 gives 3 stacks torment lasting onl 4 seconds again.

Then you got Mally’s Banish Enhancment which can be 4 stacks of confusion for 6 seconds, which ain’t really doing a lot dmg either.
Unyielding Anguish is the only one that can do some potenial condi dmg, but not really, with it’s 6 torment for 5 seconds.
Rampant vex is a joke with it’s 3 second lasting torment on a 33% chance on crit.

With all the condition removal going about it’s a nightmare to try do any solid dmg!
I have had some really mixed Succes with Embrace Darkness, where the 240 radius just seems to low to apply the conditions back to most of the kiting condition classes!

I’m honestly not sure how to fix it, but cover conditions and longer durations would be a start

Inerestring that you dropped the domination line and by that, the signet trait. Kind of a shame the Diversion becomes anti productive! But the more shatter focused (for more boons) focus seems to be a nice approach to the boon shareing! I’m gonna give that a go 2morrow!
Today I have been testing a condi version of it that looks like this:

But I have very mixed results when running in pug sPvP :/ It works a lot better when the team is cordinated! I have had quite some fun with Arcane Thievery tho, where you can get some tasy stuff to send for you group!

I felt in the power versions my damage often where to lackluster, hence I’m giving condi a go!
Also, it seems like you allways pick Prismatic Understanding instead of Bountifull Dillusioment in your builc calculator!

Have you consindered using the Marauder Amulet and try Superior runes of Alturism? I’m about to give that a go, with the 12 cd on mirror heal you can a 3x might stacks more and fury to spread around on a more controlled ratio, then what Pack deliver?

I’m having sooo much fun playing my mesmer in different interrupt builds aswell! The damage output you can get up on with a Domination/Dueling/Chaos mantra interrupt build is scary! all that Might, Vuln and passaive dmg from using mantra’s is stacking up massive! I’m so hooked on my mesmer atm!

Because a power focused celestial build deals comparable damage to someone with berserker stats! Meanwhile a condi focused celestial build deals terrible power damage and terrible condition damage!

See that’s just an odd statement to come with! So what difference is it there is in “condition focused” compared to “power focused” that makes it go from “Berserker damage” to “terrible damage”.

There is 3, things I see that could make a full celestial geared build condition focused.
1. Using condition based food and consumables
2. Using condition specific runes and/or sigils
3. Using Pistol/Pistol or Pistol/shield

Seeing as we talk WvW, I would start out with removing 1 as something that could matter, I mean no matter what weapon or rune set you use, why would’t you want 40% condition duration as celestial? And whatever if you use sharpeing stone or tuneing crystal, the overall damage output should stay the same

2. using a condition specific rune, let’s just go with Perplexity, is that what makes it condition based? I mean I could for sure see the with running rifle with Perplexity, overcharged shot is a short CD interrupting ability afterall! would the overall damage output be lower then running might runes like Strength/Hoealbark? Probaly, but it have a potential better spike.
But a Pistol/Pistol build could use might runes just aswell, which I still think most people would run!
About the sigils, I would actually give the + to running with Pistol main hand, because they ain’t forced to use Sigil of Doom, and hence could use Geomancy, Cleansing (I do) or even Battle

Or is it 3, when you use another weapon loadout then Rifle? Is Pistol/Pistol damage output simply so low you go from “Zeker pew pew” to “Terrible damage?”

I mean, I use Pistol/Pistol + Condition food, I do not use a power nor condition rune, I use Rune of the Defender, so my damage is lower then a might stacker.
But even without might, my Prybar will still crit 3k, my blowtorch is still point black critting 2.5k and Posion Dart Volly can also get to 2.5k! All this obvious also come with the extra poison and burning uptime.

While I have seen plenty of 4k Prybar cirts, 3k blunderbuss and 2.5k-3k Jump Shots (and have tried playing with the might stacking) I haven’t noticed my damage go to terrible.

I would agree with you that a Rifle Engineer have a better spike damage potential, but that’s not what it allways comes down to.

My personal opinion is honestly it’s a matter about personal preference as a Celestial WvW roamer, because both works. Pistol/Pistol brings the lowest dmg, but best defence. Pistol/Pistol is the best outnumbered loadout for me, cause of superior AoE burning, bouncing blind and higher posion uptime and Rifle being in most situations the stronger 1vs1 spike weapon. But I’m not a fan of the dangers Rifle’s overcharged shot bring with it, with only one stun break and no stability I can’t afford to get knocked down in outnumbered situations. Also, net shot still bug out in uneven terrain way to much.

Yeah but why do you agree, what are the argument for why it’s better with power instead of condition! You can’t just claim something is better without reasoning it! I’m personal not whatever I think one of them is better then the other, and when are you condition focused and when are you power focused? Is it when you use rifle your power and P/P or P/S you are condition?

Bad idea! Modified Ammo benefits power builds more than condition builds since the damage increase doesn’t affect conditions! That and celestial builds are better as power oriented builds! If you want to run Perplexity with condi sigils, it’s better to run full condi armor/weapons! You’ll deal more damage and be more durable!

So I was wondering, how much WvW roaming have you actually been doing as a Conidtion focused celestial Engineer with P/P or P/S? What do you base what you say on?

@op I have been running a condition celestial build the last 1½ month, and it have been a lot of fun and quite intrestring giving that a go! Modified Ammunition could be intrestring to give a go, but as pointed out it will only be the power dmg that will benift from it (which still can be a nice gain, I mean bombs/nades hit for a lot to begin with)

The Wolfineer’s you posted is a PvE build, so you would have do make some adjustments to make it fit a PvP setting! Using a Carrion/Rabid/Dire weapon until you get the celestial weapon shouldn’t be a problem at all, in my build I’m still missing the two celestial trinkets where I just use the dire+rabid ones!

In general I think you need to figure out yourself if you wanna stack might or not! With the current state of might after the nerf it’s something you commit to or not! I personally think you would be better of with Perplexity but that’s a matter of preference

I have actaully had a very hard time understanding just what have changed doing my one year break, that have made Engineer’s seem OP in so many peoples eye! I mean, I allways loved the profession since release, even while we where the least played and people saw us as a kittenty profession. But it’s not like any really major buffs have gone our ways since I went on a break til I came back? Is it overall game balance that have put us in a better spot? The Introduction of Celestial? or is it really just people getting mad over the Turret’s?
I mean the sPvP forum have quite a few nerf X thing at Engineers, which we have had ever since the game came out!
Tho have yet to meet anyone being directly hostile against me just because I play Engineer, but I mostly do WvW so that might be why!
But hope Anet takes a stand against it, bad behavior and harrashment, no matter the reason shouldn’t find place!

Awesome vid!

Great discipline with picking up your turret… I tend to panic a bit in 1vX and am moving too much when dropping turret, and end up needing to blast it rather than pick up.

Nice to see a well played roaming PP – think I’ll need to give that another try after watching

Thanks!! It have taken some serious training to pick it up, cause I really rather wanna blast it haha But it’s just more Condi clearing, more overall healing in longer fight, and more Agiest Procs! It’s what keeps me a live for so long

P/P is still amazing to play, in special in 1vsX situations, because of how fast it’s animations are, the stastic shot bounching and the AoE burning! Rifle is cool to, but I just hate overcharged shot in 1vsX situations (self knockback no ty) and also how often net shot fails in WvW because of terrain bug o.o

I’m running full Celestial at the moment, beside two trinkets which are Rabid (will get them swapped soon) Running Tuning Crystals and 40% Condi Food. The Rune is Superior rune of the Defender and the sigils are Superior Sigil of Cleansing and Superior Sigil of Intelligence!

Ty ty, I have had a break from GW2 trying new things, but in the end it’s the best out there! Ended up joining Osicats guild and had a ton of fun with him, most people from there is playing other games at the moment sadly, but hope to see him return! Dueling him was a ton of fun!

@Loboling, Yeah saw the comment on youtube, glad some have better eyes then me! Tho I’m not sure if that’s a bug when we are talking the Guardians Hammer 5th Ring of Warding, because we really shouldn’t be able to dodge out of that no matter what! Thanks for looking into it. I love the challenge of outnumbered fights. (my heart was racing when I won my first 1v3 on my zerker staff ele) But it’s no fun when bugs make the gameplay unpredictable. I’ve seen this a few times recently, and only with asuran characters, but that may just be a coincidence. Let me know what you find.

Yeah I will for sure In that particular fight I can see he is indeed blinded when he toss down the field! I have also often wondered, if it truely is meant to stun people when you dodge into it! I know it’s unblockable, but dodges don’t count as a block! But yeah outnumbered fights is a lot fun! it makes the adrenaline pump around like a crazy

Nice video, but can anyone explain why he didnt get stunned at 4:49 from the ele’s static field. I watched it a few times and I’m starting to feel there is a bug with asuran. (I’ve seen the same thing with guardian hammer 5 and an asuran just dodging through)

I have actually been thinking about that myself aswell! What my conclusion is so far, is I think blind actually apply, so if I run/dodge into it when his blinded I won’t get stunned? But I’m really not sure at all if that’s the case!
Because it does indeed happen to me with the Guardian Hammer 5 sometimes aswell now you mention it… hmm I think I will try do some testing with a ele and guardian buddy one of these days to see if I can spot a tedens!

While I agree with people about the Engineer not being an OP proffession, I still think we are an profession that have strong advantages, that make us feel OP against melee professions! Whenever I see Engineer vs Thief, Warrior or Guardian, my money will allways be on the Engineer, simply because these professions have the hardest time dealing with how much kiting we can do!
So a warrior in a 1vs1 duel can fast turn into very frustrating situation for a Warrior, in special against a condi Engineer (what I understood from the OP you were using in the duel?)! The amount of blinds, block, cripple, poison and just condition pressure in generel is simply to much for them to deal with! I have had several fight where they barely ever get to hit me because of that, which will give anyone the feeling they are up against an OP profession.
When that is said, Engineer is in no way an easy Profession to learn, nor to master, if you are using 2-3 kits! Turret’s might be easy to use, but that ain’t making the profession and easy one!
so StarNightz keep going with the Engineer if you enjoy it, and for sure try out a lot of different builds! The Engineer got a large plate of different playstyles and it’s a lot of fun to test around with!

Yet another WvW video is now done! Still playing a bit with the traits for my Celestial Defender build, I’m now using Autodefence Bomb Dispenser and I’m very happy with the results so far!

The Sustain and damage avoidence of the build is out off the roof! I’m having a lot of really fun and good 1vs2 and 1vs3 fights! I have also begun taking camps, even when there is 1-2 defenders! Will upload a video about that soon, because that’s freaking fun to do!

Shield/Superior Rune of the Defender

I’m running it with my P/P Celestial roaming build! The rune is amazing is to play with!! The 2th bonus gives me 2 second of regen for each hit, with no cd on it, so when that rapid fire hits, or fighting against more then one, your regen uptime is out of the roof!
I feel like toolkit gear shield is more then enough blocks to make it worth it!
The Ageis on heal is a sweet bonus if you can time using your heal just before something nasty hits you! And often something nasty is about to hit you when you are low on hp
and the 6th bonus is healing me like 4300-4400 every 30 sec which is amazing! Just all in all I’m total in love with that rune + healing turret, cause the sustain is insane! I have had people that burst me to about 40-50% hp and I just heal full up, making them ragequite the fight!

Unless you can defend yourself in Sinister I still see it as a quick death sentence if you get caught. Really, it depends what you’re doing and who you encounter but I’m afraid Sinister still only seems viable if you’re with other people/back-line nading things. You gotta know what you’re doing in such squishy gear; I salute anyone that handles themselves well in it but jeeze.. no toughness etc.. ehh.

I would never use that kind of stats for PvP, we are purely talking PvE, so dungeons and open world content! Where you anyway would be running full berzerker at the moment, so no defensive stats there either! So I don’t see it being any different!

I don’t like this at all for SPvP and WvW. Condi builds will be even more overpowered than they already are.

If you ever had 25 stacks of bleeding in wvw or spvp you were dead anyway ;-) I think it will matter nothing in these two game modes! Tho we have yet to find out if these changes will happen there aswell!

Also its really intrestring that he says this is only thw begnning! I asume that will mean work done to poison and burning! But time will tell!

But yeah suddely sinister stats seems good! :-D

Im fully aware it got out yesterday, but seeing there were no topic abour it here i felt we should have one! ;-)
Seeing as we are an excellent condtion proffession im quite intrested in what other engineer think about this!! Will it be enough to make conditon builds usefull in dungoens? Do we think there will be added more mobs like the sw mobs that reduce direct dmg but melt to conditions? What sort of condi builds would be run?? :-)

Hey Everyone,
As you may have noticed bleeding stacks go above 25 stacks when playing in the demo map. This is not a mistake, rather as we have said for a while now, we know that the current stack cap creates problems for condition players who want to work together. What you saw today was the first test in solving some of these problems. Keep in mind, it is not necessarily final and absolutely not the entire plan. I see many questions about how this will work and how it impacts other conditions, balance, etc. Rest assured that as soon as we have a final plan we will be revealing it and letting you all know exactly how it will work.

Just as the titel says, I’m trying to do the achievements, but when I enter the instance the Challenge Mote ain’t showing up. I have completede the 2 other achievements now in Meeting the Asura, but no matter how many time I enter the Mote don’t show up. A fix would be nice

You can never have to much condition duration! In special PvE where the enemies have no condition removal, you want them to last for as long as you can! (Okay more then 100% duration is to much, but you get the point!) Tho most will state Conditions ain’t that good in dungeons, so keep that in mind!

holy kitten those runes of the defender are insane, did you find many stalemate situations with this build? the sustain is great but i imagine anything that packs the same sustain would end in a stalemate since the lack of high power/condition damage from celestial?

The runes are pretty insane yeah :-D But no I actually have yet to run into a stalemate! The worst are really good celestial dagger/dagger elementalist! But the build got a decent amount of poison, even more if you go with grenades, so you will bring people down eventually! tho most fights will take longer, buts thats the price for highet defence and sustain hehe :-)

Hey Engineer Forums! Long time no see!

It have been over a year since I stopped playing GW2, only logging in every now and then to see what was going on! But back I am, and with the upcoming expansion I have plenty to see to!

I used to do WvW videos when I still played, and figured I wanted to record my progress getting back into the game again!
Before I stopped I was wishing for full celestial armor, because I was certain that could be really intrestring to play with, and now we have it! So hence I have spent the last month getting the gear!

The traits are a classic bomb build:

Found out I prefer running the bomb kit over the grenades, and I am also using double pistol! It feels like the better option, in special when I’m in a 1vsX situation. This means I have 2 different burning skills + Inc. Powder, so I can keep burning up most of the time, yes please!

In the build I use rune of the defender, and I love it

Note that bonus 2 actually apply 2 seconds of regen and the 6th bonus is healing me for about 4500 every 30 second.

For sPvP I think Rune of Scavening might be a fun option, but haven’t tested it, so I’m not sure about that.

My sigils are Intelligence and Cleansing (Condi removal on swap, 9 sec cd)!
Leeching might be a good option aswell, for even more sustain!

While I play a lot worse then I did back when I was at my prime, the build still makes me a 1vs1 powerhouse that most people can’t even scratch.
With all the passive healing from Backpack regenerator, permanent regeneration uptime, super elixir, water field blasting, Rune bonus 6 and Healing Turret, is the sustain of the build out of the roof!
So far the only thing that’s a real threat is CondI Thiefs, CondiMesmer’s and Condi Necromancer, which are the usual suspects when playing Engineer. But the build still have a solid chance against them, where I win 80% of the time.

The video is showing a lot of 1vs1 fights, quite a few more then I normal would, but I wanted to show just how dominant the build is in these situations.
But as stated, I kinda suck now, a lot of balance changes have gone by since I last played, so I have much to catch up on to get back in prime! Also, Rangers is now the #1 annoying pestilence in 1vsX Situations!

The reason we talked about Celestial gear, was that for new level 80 player, that didn’t know exactly how they wanted to pick stats and gear, they seem to be a great first pick, because they allow you to swap around a lot in the builds, and still be “decent”, in the low skill level dungeon end!
It’s for people to get a feeling for what kind of Engineer they want to play! and as you say it yourself, it’s easier to learn the content with more toughness and vitallity, then in full Glass Cannon, hence that’s what we recommend!

I did mention in the show, that grenades in full zerker gear spamming, with as much condition duration for the vulnerbillity probaly is the best option for anything PvE related, mostly because if you cane keep up 15-25 of them up, that’s a 15-25% damage increase for everyone in the team! But again, that’s super boring to play in my humble opinion (Phineas Poe’s build does look amazing as well)

But you are right that Asteria Rose and me don’t know enough about high level dungeons, I think the highest level FOTM I ever did was level 20, but I find Dungeons in this game quite boring after I have done them enough times, because in the end, it’s the exact same thing I’m doing! :b
We do tho, try find guests that have more knowledge about the PvE content then us, because it’s simple not our field of experince In the end I only do it for the gear!

We will try get a flow where we talk WvW one week, then sPvP the next, then PvE the next going if we can! But it does require that we can find guests that will talk about that area, and when we haven’t been able to do that sometimes we pick someone we can discus the other stuff with (There simply have been more PvPers then PvEers up for doing hte podcasts)

@Maskaganda; Hehe yeah it was a lot of fun roaming with you and yor friends, and we are for sure gonna do it again! The Necromancer is for sure a beast to fight with now! =D
I hope I can get my computer tuned for frapping that sort of fights actually it get’s a bit to lagy when I try frap it, so the video ain’t very good! But maybe it’s the match up that’s abit to laggy as well!

@Ukuni I will all ways try to make a fair and valid argument/answear to anything people post! Afterall, that is what a forum is about ^^
But yeah, I’m not 100% sure about the Giver’s weapon yet, but I swap around a lot with what I have, just to see what I like, and it is for sure a point that’s hard to say what’s best,, mostly because I feel it depends a lot on which people I run into (how much condition removal they have)!

About Hydromancy, I have actually tested it, and I really like it, and I thought about combo it with Runes of Grenth, for a lot more chilled (Great “defensive” condition), which I have a lot of succes with in a older build made for soaking damage (The Troll build), but the 975 damage Leeching do, and then gives to me, is really nice as well! So it’s a tough call!

I tought about runes of earth, but I think the CD on the 6th skill atm is far to long for it duration sadly! =/ Undead is one of my personal fav. as well, but it’s just a bit to offensive for this build I felt, but it’s a very valid point you make for using it!

Haven’t thought about runes of Rata Sum for ages haha but that might actually be fun to use it again, used it a long time ago in a Rifle build! And the new weakness is very awesome (and Poison is all ways neat), + I got plenty of blast finishers to make AoE Weakness in the field… hmm! I might tinker a bit with that idea haha

Even if we don’t agree on everything, it’s often in disagreement some of the most briliant plans are created :P At least it often makes for a good discussion hehe

@Ukuni – Wow, that’s a wall of text right there! seeing as I don’t really agree with you, wrote I will try address everything!

Frist off, I still think it’s wrong to say someone is good or bad, just from a video clip, there is simply to many things that can make a difference in how we perform doing one single encounter! some people I have stomped super hard the first time I run into them, have given me a crazy run for my money the next time I meet them! also, I think my defintion of a good player is a lot less strict then yours and since there is no way to define what a good player truely is, I gues it’s a bit pointless to disucss it hehe

I do tho agree they are no way near, say Osicat skill level, but even then, that’s a person I only would be able to do a 1vs1, and there ain’t many at the skill levle to begin with anyway.
And any encounter with two people on the same skill level vs one on the same skill level as them, should obvious win vs the one! The fight’s ain’t for bragging, they are picked because I found them amusing to watch, which is the point of a video!

Okay, the build:
I don’t think the giver’s pistol is a waste, it get’s my burning duration to where I want it, and I wouldn’t get it that high without them, and it’s my main damage source in the build!

I gues it’s a matter of taste! also, I want my cover conditions to last for as long as I can! and since most of my time is spend trying fight more then one person at a time, I need a lot of different conditon source’s, so I don’t think it’s overkill at all!

Superior Rune of the Forge is a rune I wanted to test for a very long time, and I actually have ended up like it! It gives me more of the burning duration, and it makes my protection last longer! Now, I got two Traits that give protection and the runes themself when it trigger as you say, and it last for about 4 seconds, which often stack up to 8 (goes hand in hand those two trait’s), but that’s actually an execellent duration, because I usual only get hit a lot doing the durations I get CCed, and it have helpt a lot when fighting against power builds!
and the 6th skill have proved to be very neat in critical situations where I drop fast and try to flee! So I actually have had a lot of succes with it! But which other Rune would you suggest? because I have spend a lot of time tinkering with runes for the build!

Also – sidenote: I don’t see my build as a bunker, but a hybrid support/Condition/Bunker build, since I don’t focus one either of the three, but it’s more a support build then a bunker build! I have never claimed it as an bunker build (Nor tried make the build a big deal, I just wanted to show what I was working on, i even said it was in testing!)

Now Rocket Boots are amazing for more then one reason:
1. The Tool Skill is amazing, AoE burning, low CD and goes trough Reflects
2. It’s Cleanse Immobilzed, Chilled and Crippled, which are more dangerous to me then stuns
3. Amazing Mobility, I can actually escape dire situations now! It’s fantastic! and I’m often in those! also it helps with confusion the enemies when you jump around with that and acid boots
4. it’s a 20 second CD blastfinisher, so that’s a 1400-1500 something AoE heal, how is that not awesome?
5. The Animation is enough reason! Om Nom Nom <3 Love it!

All in all it’s a perfect fit for my palystyle! (Also I’m not trying to tank), and I honestly don’t feel I have to much stuff for kiting, you can never have enough ^^ a matter of taste I gues? Sure Toolkit or Elixir R would also be neat, but I prefer Rocket boots, and the blast Finisher is yummy!

There is two ways I can get more Condition Removal, 10 points more into Alchemy, or slotting elixir C, which I can’t do, and I all ready got a decent amount of removal I feel, you need to keep in mind I’m used to handle conditions with only one removal (from medkit), so right now I feel I have more then I could ever need ^^ It honestly haven’t been a problem, keep in mind you still can dodge the attacks that gives conditions! (also permanent regen uptime helps a lot on it)

So yeah thanks for making the long post, and ofc. I will read it all ^^
now you can enjoy my wall of text as payback But I really don’t try make a big deal out of anything I do, I’m simply enjoying this build, and wanted to share my experince with it, and for me it’s been working great! It’s actually my best 1vs1 build now, because it’s insane hard to kill it, and the 630 burning that it got up pretty much all the time, will wither down close to anything 1vs1 so far I have experinced

I gues next time I have time for a duel night I can make some 1vs1 footage of it, or maybe duel some of the awesome (awesome is a lot better then good in my world) players, I have had runs in with before in sPvP with the build!

I got a video using it before the patch, but haven’t gotten an updated video out after last patch, but the build have overall grown stronger, manily because of th added mobility from the new rocket boots are amazing!

it got a very good mix of offensive, and still having defensive alibities!! You will be able to keep Burning up close to 100% of the time, even vs condition removal heavy professions, and still be dishing out the 21 second lasting 3x Bleeding from Sharpnel Grenades, and plenty of cover conditions to make sure all the yummy won’t be removed

First off, when is someone a good player? my personal definition of a good player is one that know the basic about the game, know the basic about other proffesions, knows how to build a gear loadout and know most of what he needs to know about his own proffesion!

now, thats really hard to check when you meet people in WvW! But I think that pretty much all of them in this video was “good” players, the Mesmer and Guardien ran a burst combo, which would nuke most solo players in seconds, but couldn’t get all the way trough my builds defence! The Ranger and Guardien, in speciel the guardien, played a very nice tag team together, and hence I had to seperate them to win! The 3vs1 fight we might discuss how good they was, personally I think the Warrior did his jop quite well, many good stuns and he tried ress the rest all the time!

But again? when are they good? hard to define? In speical when it’s 1vs2 or 1vs3, or even more. Because humans in general, when in superior numbers then the enemy, will underestimate their enemy, which is something I abuse all I can!
It will often give me the edge in the start of the match! You probaly do it yourself when you roam with a friend or two, and run into a single roamer, underestimate them! I know I do!

But if it’s truely a very good player, then you can max win a 1vs2 against two good players if you get the jump on them and they underestimate you! But usually I gues it’s 1vs1 (where this build is very powerfull), that you can do vs a player on the same skill level as yourself But in my honest opinion, you can’t calculate a persons skill level very well, after only one fight, that ain’t a 1vs1! To many situonal Parameters to calculate it!

I did some rough calculations

Rabid Pistol
1190 Condition Damage
90% Condition Duration
102 Damage per sec per Bleed tick
3.8 sec bleed on auto attack applies 3 bleed ticks for total of 306 damage

Giver’s Pistol
1100 Condition Damage
100% Condition Duration
97.5 Damage per sec per Bleed tick
4 sec bleed on auto attack applies 4 bleed ticks for total of 390 damage

I think 90% condition duration gets intrestring when you go with Runes of the Undead and 2x Giver’s Pistols, instead of picking the Duration runes!
Personal when running my condition Grenadier build I go from 995 conditions power unbuffed, to 1287 condition power unbuffed, which is all most a 300 condition power gain! probaly could be more with more toughness!

But anyway, most of the time I stick with 100% duration, but running a grenade kit, which all ready have absurd long duration, I will often be going with only 90% duration, since the duration is allready absurd !:)

Okay, here we go with a new roaming build using my The Condition Apothecary after the last patch! A neat little patch! Like it so far, but you can hear a lot more about what my feelings about it right here:

It’s mostly just a little show of, how much damage you potenial can recover/soak off, from some fights I enjoyed! I really like this build, and it’s growing more and more to me, when I have time to play it!

But anyway, I have vaction now, so gonna do a lot of different things, but I will see if more videos will be coming out over the summer! I do hope so, and they will probaly be from group roaming and guild action!

Beside that, I might make a few DC Univers Online videos over the summer, because I’m slacking it with Markus Valadir and my brothers when we feel like it, nothing big or serious ^^

Also, there might come a little Gadget Focused build out soon, just for the fun of it!

But I think, the reason I see it as an buff, is because I’m mostly a WvW player, and a 2 second block that stuns everyone that attacks me, is a lot more usefull when fighting a lot of enemies, then a 3 second block, that stuns for 2 seconds but most of the time only last for ½-1 second and only block one attack, and often that’s a pet or illusion with my luck haha ^^

as soon as I figh 2-3 enemies, I prefer the new one, also it’s neat I often will get to toss the daze as well! But I gues in a 1vs1 situation the only shield probaly was better, when not vs a Mesmer, Ranger or Minion Necromancer, at least in my opinion haha

Really? I must admit that I feel the total different way, that it is a very build defining trait, at least it is for me? Traits like Hair Trigger, or Incenedary Powder, or speedy Kits, are traits I will pick i pretty much any build, and I do so most of the time, because they are great for that kind of stuff!
This trait on the other hand, is really for me, the topping of the Ice Cake, in builds where I only would be running 1 condition heavy kit, and most of the time would be using my main hand weapon, the rifle, or in a HGH build, with my pistol/Pistol!?
In a multi kit build I wouldn’t go that deep into firearms, because I would spend to little time in the main hand weapon for it!
But maybe not a grandmaster trait, but not an adept either! maybe It would have been better as a master? =) But then again, I tink most would want to pick this one and Rifle mod up in the same build, for some whicked auto attack damage hehe

I would swap the Elixr H our for Healing Turret if you plan to run with a group! That will give you ½sec water field and a 3 sec water field, which you can use you blast Finishers in to do AOE healing for the group! Also, you friends will be able to do that as well, so you will bring a lot more team support that way! also the overcharge remove 2x conditions from friends as well!

Well I’m seeing this new trait os gonna rock two places:
1. Might Stacking Pistol builds, like the HGH Grenades, and the builds like Maskaganda, they will often, very easy, have 4-6 different conditions up an running, and they all ready deal a very solid amount of power damage, yes Maskaganda I’m looking at your 4k Blowtroch crits! that would easy be able to deal a 10%+ more damage with that!

2. Rifle builds using Grenades, Bomb kit, or Elixir Gun, because even while it’s a pure power build, in my grenade builds, I will often have: Bleeding, Poison, Vulnerbillity, Chilled/Crippled and Immobilzed up and running! + that with the on and off burning, blind and confusion! (I run Grenade kit + Tool kit), and suddenly you will actually often have a 10-14% damage boost! Also, it will scale very very well when running with a group as people have said!
Edit: and also, you can still have Rifle Mod + Modified Ammunition, so seeing a flat 20% damage should be quite neat!
