What has Tempest over Chronomancer that makes it useful? I’m saying this because people are saying it’s a bad spec, Ele is my 2nd character (my main is Guard and I have a Thief, I also made a Mesmer a while ago but deleted it even at lvl 80 because I didn’t like it), I like the playstyle but I’m worried about it’s utilities when in Tempest compared to what Chrono does…

150 is too much, it should’ve been 100 AR because it makes more sense, this way people who do not have HoT can still run fractals until lvl 75 where they will have to grind again…

Just looked up the recipe for Nightfury. It is a bit of grind, and that’s OK. Whats NOT OK is it requiring endless batwing brew. Yes that is RNG. Yes that is easily manipulated by Trading Post flippers. And yes somebody’s going to make a stupid amount of money off you wanting that skin.

Skins should be gotten by players who play the content for it. Not guys like me who have a lot of gold. And not the even worse guys who have a lot of gold and decide to manipulate the prices of things on the TP to make more.

There needs to be a recipe for the endless batwing brew plain and simple. The skin would still be pricy but atleast the “economy” wouldn’t be whats stopping you.

TP flippers are not even playing this game…

Get the Tattered Bat Wings and Endless tonic, that’s the only items that won’t remain after Halloween (and be incredibly expensive aswell).

I’ve been wondering something: Can precursors still drop from the Mystic Toilet?

Even if they add a recipe, chances are that they will screw it up and the price will never go down even if it’s Halloween, the only way for this to work is if the tonic is not as expensive as it is now, then the recipe will be conceived to go with the price.

Someone did the maths and it costs 3K+ gold to make this piece of garbage, like seriously what they were thinking? I did not remember Harold buying Toothless in the movie…

It’s actually pretty great. Completely cosmetic items that are expensive to acquire are fine long term goals that doesn’t lock you out of content.

The only reason to be upset about it is if you only wanted it if it were cheap.

Like legendaries, if you want something bad enough, you’ll generally be prepared to pay the cost.

Blame the TP flippers for the price. They have been pouncing on everything desirable in the past 2 weeks and jacking the price up. Endless bat tonic went from 80 to 278 gold.

Best bet is to buy the time limited stuff and then sit on your hands and wait for the rest of the materials to go down in price.

I’m a bit disappointed. I expected the bat shoulders to be something fun to work on for Halloween, and especially expected components to come from the Labyrinth. I was not expecting it to be an ascended backpiece; rather, just a skin. Once I learned it was ascended in its final form, I expected some sort of collection/scavenger hunt similar to Mawdrey… Where we would get an initial shoulderpiece that then was upgraded several times until it reached ascended quality (first part is fully made from Halloween mats, then we get into the expensive stuff for later upgrades).

I guess I should have sold the Bolt I made a month ago to afford this festive shoulderpiece. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Wintersday- better ask friends and relatives for gem cards this holiday season.

Ascent To Madness dungeon, you can get Tattered Bat Wings that sells between 13-20g each, once the recipe for Night Fury will be discovered, the price will go up, even more after Halloween.

Triple Trouble is the most annoying event in the game by far, don’t even rely on PUGs to do it, don’t trust maps with 3 commanders if there is no explanation or anything 40 minutes before the event, and always ask the map if there’s a TS or something. If there’s nothing of the above, just leave because it’s a waste of time…

Logan sucks, he’s so bad in every aspect compared to Braham (I’m saying this because they are both Guardians), and saying Rytlock is bad is an insult, he was the most involved NPC in HoT and brought us the Revenant class (and possibly a new elite spec for warrior with offhand Pistol).

Because Mordremoth’s true form left a copy of his mind inside him while we fought it in the part of the Dream overlapping Dragon’s Stand thus forcing us to personally kill him.

The ancient Drake(he’s alot like a bipedal version of the Drakes in Elona which is why I call him one) hid in the Dream while using the Mordrem like an avatar from the saftey of his sanctum in said Dream.

In the end he himself wasn’t asleep but his corruption was. His corruption centralized where the part of Tyria overlapped with his true body in the Dream and started spreading when Magic reached it.

Killing Mordremoth’s true form and killing the last fragment of his mind released all of his Magic from the center of his corruption and it seems to have split into four magic streams that are being absorbed by various beings(3 of which are almost certainly Raid Bosses with the forth being the new Elder Dragon hatching from Glint’s Egg).

Will Glint Children become evil like the other elder dragons? That would make up for an interesting plot, like him (or her) wanting to save all the dragons from extinction.

Also, the various beings could possibly be other elder dragons aswell, there was an art showcasing a huge hydra attacking Lion’s Arch which could be the Deep Sea Elder Dragon, we know that after a ED dies, another one takes his place and become active like a force of nature.

I highly recommend waiting a price drop, because almost 50% of HoT is not finished (raids, storyline, pvp stuff, legendaries etc…), don’t buy an unfinished product.

Inb4 Logan dies and Kasmeer get his shield, Zojja dies and Taimi gets her golem…

Elite Spec: Unlock it by progressing through the storyline only, after a certain point, you get it and have to spend the same amount of hero points as the other lines.

Mastery: Get rid of the xp you need and make more achievements for more points, but good ones like Living Story, and do not make these mandatory for progressing through Maguuma Jungle, make the progression storyline based.

Also, one more thing: Fractal rewards should be the same as the old system, and not locked behind more RNG and HoT, I’m dead serious…

Even Bloodborne expansion looks more appealing than HoT, no joke, and it’s an A-RPG.

Guardian, Ele and Thief are dead for raids or people think they are useless? I’m kinda offended because these are the 3 classes I play the most…

Guardian is dead for raids, but it’s still good on fractals, though not for long if they decide to nerf burning, and even then we will be replaced by Chronomancers and Revenants so rerolling might be a good idea (Thief has the same problem because of Ranger).

People shouldn’t preorder these days, I remember Dark Souls 2, I bought it at release date and while it was good the first few weeks, I started to dislike and hate the game because it wasn’t as good as the first one in the end. So the thing is: Don’t buy until you have clear evidence of the content you will get…

Grinding was not required in the past for any kind of contents (or at least not very excessive), but I have the impression it won’t be the case in HoT, promoting grinding at the beggining is a terrible thing…

but you could delete them and have 4 revs and still be better off.

1. No one has ever or is going to be banned for the Mossman or Mai Trin exploits.
2. It actually is griefing actively trying to prevent people from playing how they want to, even if how they want to play is exploitative or cheesy. You won’t get banned for it, but it definitely makes you a kitten regardless of if they, too, are kittens. There’s something in here about two wrongs don’t make a right.
3. They’ll be fixed soon.

1. I know that no one will be banned for that. But is it actually an excuse for using an exploit? I don’t think so. And I am not sure why you mentioned that topic.
2. On the opposite side – they are doing the same to us (a a guild group) trying to force us to play the way they want to. This can be called griefing as well. Also we are not forcing any playstyle on boss itself like a lot of groups out there, we only avoid people from using exploits in our runs.
3. Hopefully character switch will also be fixed.

Horrik’s cannon attacks and Mai Trin spinning projects aren’t blockable, but dodgeable AND avoidable by moving to the sides, so it is not an issue. Mai teleport though can only be blocked.

It is pretty easy almost on any class if you know class well enough. You just need right traits and utilities to block/immune some attacks and simply avoid the rest. It is doable even without crazy vigor uptime or special endurance food.

Yeah I thought so, but most people prefer Guardian and Warrior for this, because you know, M-E-T-A is what they praise…

They could turn Spirit weapons into conjured weapons or something…

I mean, just imagine the amount of salt it would cause when people get to it as the final fractal, dem spooky spiders man!

I’m not saying this is the case… it just could turn out to be an “entirely unintentional side-effect”. To early to start conspiracy theories yet.

Now you could probably argue that existing content folks will still have access to fractals (will they get the level 51+ stuff?) So if they do and this is where the balances for the nerf are applied then it would be more fair. If the real monentary balancing is in raids then that would be pretty crap of them.

I kinda wondered about the levels above 50 in Fractals, but I think they won’t be able to do these anyway without masteries…

Other MMO’s had the same stuff, but still, I’m not ok with this especially since we all bought the game and still know nothing from the expansion…

At least if I can avoid Colossus (it’s not very hard but tedious and the mechanics are boring) and Mai Trin aswell as better rewards (4g at lvl50), then it’s all good, but as it is now, no thanks…

Sometimes the AOE’s are invisible and you die of nothing, it’s apparently a CPU problem so… Yeah people should learn about building a better PC…

Everyone that has done fractals for a while knows that if you die during Mai Trin you can relog and Ellen Kiel will res you and you can walk to a certain spot to get back into the fight. It’s a bug that has been a part of this fractal since I can remember and it NEEDS TO BE FIXED.

I got kicked from a party just now for NOT RELOGGING FAST ENOUGH. One or two people went down and I died so I relogged to get back in and when I got back into the fractal a vote kick was called and I was kicked from the party. When I messaged one of the people in the party he said I was “a useless kitten who didn’t know how to relog.” So now this bug has gone from something that people use to make the fight easier to something that people think is required to beat the encounter and are actually kicking people who don’t relog or even just those who don’t relog fast enough.

Just PLEASE fix it. It sucks so much to get to the final fight in a full set of fractals and get kicked before getting the final loot.

No offense but, without this glitch, most people wouldn’t bother doing fractals lvl 50 because Mai Trin is a terrible fight (the cannon phase that is), it’s either this or having a thief with stealth or get out…
