Highly Recommended, but you get ascended stuff easily by doing raids now, the rewards are the best in the entire game by far, just by doing legendary armor tier 1 collection, you get a full set of ascended armor.

I don’t like DnT but Anet policy is really shameful…

Because you’re not smart enough to get where I’m getting, it doesn’t mean I’m lying. Also, grinding a week of TP and not having to worry about gold for the rest of my gw2 experience is kinda 10 times better than logging in gw2 and spending 5 hours worrying about gold per hour, like you seem to do

Manipulating prices here doesn’t take skill yes, it’s basically buying tons of the same item(s) and raise the price more to gain profit when people are not looking at it, which most likely works when you do it at the right time. Raids I don’t know but I was more interested about the rewards for doing these because doing challenging content in this game is not rewarding enough to kept my interest, the gameplay is good but the rewards sucks I’m sorry.

And saying that I just want to get something by spamming 1 for hours when you basically study graphs and wait on your chair is not something I would be proud off, why you don’t use your ’’talent’’ IRL for your friends and family?

Don’t play with the TP when others are doing it, it’s not profitable…

Anyone with a decent amount of motivation can make ridiculous amounts per hour. I remember my first of trading as being the best of my life : started with 200g, got to 2K and made a Sunrise. A month after I reiterated, made 2K gold again, made Twilight.

It’s not hard if you really know what you’re doing and you don’t need to spend a dime on gems, although I occasionally do it when ArenaNet releases something I like as my way to support the game.

Playing the TP is playing the game, just more efficiently. An hour of TP a day and then you never need gold again and can sincerely enjoy the game without always being worried about your gold per hour

That’s still not playing for me, that’s gambling in another way and manipulating people like some kind of toys in a selfish way…

If you’re looking to craft ascended armor, the Wiki page is a good place to start. You can get ascended armor as ultra-rare drops from certain content (some bosses, high-level fractals, etc.) but generally you’ll have to craft it yourself. Crafting requires you to level one of the armor disciplines (Tailor, Leatherworker, Armorsmith) to 500.

The wiki page has a full list of materials you’ll need. You can’t buy Vision Crystal or the ingredients for it (Spirit Shards, Dragonite Ore, Bloodstone Dust, Empyreal Fragements, Obsidian Shards), and you’ll need to salvage exotics to obtain Globs of Dark Matter.

The main hurdle for most people, however coming up with enough Bolts of Damask, Elonian Leather Squares, and maybe Deldrimor Steel Ingots. You can buy or craft these, and while crafting will save you a lot of gold, you’re limited gated crafting one each per day. (That’s one Damask, one Elonian Leather, and one Deldrimor Steel. Since you need 36 Damask/36 Leather for Light/Medium armor, it can take 36 days. Heavy armor only requires 25 Damask, so it can be done in 25 days.)

Hope that helps! I’m not sure what the gold costs are, since Heart of Thorns really rocked the boat there, but hopefully that’s enough to get you started.

The gold cost is over 1k atm for light armors, less than 1k for medium and heavy (people go for heavy mainly because of Revenant).

Hi, so I’ve been thinking about going for ascended gear, been looking up some ways to get 6 pieces. (chest helm shoulder etc.) People say it costs about 50g to get one piece, I have no issue paying that but my question is how do you buy the gear? The only thing that requires to make them is mats that you cant buy, so how are people paying 50g to get a piece? I’m asking this because i’d much rather pay gold then spend a few months gathering materials. Thanks guys!

Except it’s not 50g, not even the double, a bit more than the triple for each pieces, it really was 50g for Heavy armors 2 years ago…

I actually meant that I’m waiting to see if Raids are worth the purchase of HoT, but still, the Fractals changes are a joke and I just hope they are introducing new fractals soon and not old content like Mai Trin and Molten Duo in the Fractured update 2 years ago…

I used to run dungeons and fractals dailies, now one got nerfed very hard, the other is a gold sink and gated behind the expansion on top of it (can’t get past lvl76 without grinding a lot more because of masteries…), and the only way now is SW which is annoying because of how many times I did it. Let’s not forget PvP too with the unbalanced Elite specs…
There’s also TP flipping but it ended badly, I made a stock of Tattered Batwings before the end of Halloween, hoping that the price would go up a lot but it decreased by 100% of it’s initial value two days after…

I know this is to make the expansion more appealing, but so far I don’t think it’s worth 40€ (25€ seems more like a fair price), I’m waiting for Raids and the rewards for doing these aswell as the changes in Fractals rewards, but otherwise I’m not tempted to buy it, there’s too much content that have not been finalized within it like the story, some missing components etc…

You can do fractal dailies and reward tracks in PvP to get Tomes of Knowledge, up a crafting discipline to get XP and do events that gives you lots of XP with a train in EotM or PvE (you can run SW/Dry Top events easily, Vinewrath gives almost a level).

Not herself but her children, which wanna go on a path of destruction after the slaughering of it’s race by the Pact.

Fractals are a waste of time now, I ran dailies lvl 40 and 50 Pre-HoT and it was actually rewarding, now I just lose my time, my money and have to grind more for something that doesn’t deserve it, people saying fractals are cool are probably new players, because there’s no way the new system is better at the maintime with these bad rewards and HP sponges.

Also, no new fractals since 2 years now, this must be a joke, I wouldn’t be surprised if they just abandon fractals like dungeons and focus on raids only, because the issues cannot be addressed…

Get ascended weapons and trinkets, the armor is not very useful and really grindy now…

DH is fine, people having a trouble with traps does not know what is stability and does too much shadow step (thieves in particular), CC mixed with condi damage are key against DH. Chronomancer on the other hand, screw that spec, it’s broken everywhere…

My play time have been greatly reduced since the dungeons and fractal nerf, I did not even bothered doing fractals after lvl50, while I was doing lvl50 daily pre-HoT, the rewards now are terrible and the new mechanics are not challenging, but a waste of time, even the Covetous Demon from Dark Souls 2 is infinitely better designed than the boss fights with the new instabilities…

Jormag is a female elder dragon (and she mostly corrupt male beings), DSD could be another one.
Also, do you remember the old artifact used by the Kraits in order to keep away Zhaitan corruption, which was then used by the Pact in Personal Story? I’m sure it has something to do with this Elder Dragon, not to mention the element attached to it which might be Fear according to the description, alongside Water.

TT is boned without TTS because people are not intelligent enough to learn the tactics or use other skills than the 1st one in their panel, this comes from someone that only completed this event 5 times since February 2014 when it was introduced alongside the Marionette (which was 1000000 times better).

Today I got Tequatl’s Hoard.

Yesterday I got Zojja’s Weapon Chest from PvP rewards.

I would say that overflow of ascended chests is too high.

Sorry but saying this is like comparing the life or a wealthy man and someone who’s starving, this is only you and nothing else…

Also, making ascended crafting more expensive makes no sense, it was already very costly, now it became just like crafting a legendary weapon especially for light armors, I should have crafted every ascended class way back when it was below 500g for everything…

This is almost the same stuff for Triple Trouble with the 3 headed Wurm, if they fix this issue, then do the same for TT.

Fractals are that boring too … 4manned a fotm 89 yesterday an it was challenging in no way it was just boring because of mobs with ultra high vita and toughness

But well we can do open world , where auto attack would be enough …

My biggest issue with open world are events like Triple Trouble, that’s also the most important problem with the game: Rewards for Completing Challenging Content.

Challenging content? Nope, fighting damage sponges with billions of hp is not fun at all, it just makes encounters like Lame Mai Trin even more annoying, and the rewards are so bad for doing it…

It was always very tanky to be honest…

I’d say either Tengu or a race coming from nowhere, but I’m sure it’s Tengu because of the variants they included within each update…

DnT made a video about Tempest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kw7zQi-t1s and it looks like the way to make it work well is to switch between normal weapons and conjured to get overload with other attunements (staff and icebow or scepter/X and lightning hammer seems to be the best), like someone said in this forum.

It’s not the end of HoT though, his mind could have been shattered and be inside his most powerful minions just like when Tequatl gathered Zhaitan energy, and when these will be dead, the energy will be absorbed by another elder dragon which will be this one:

I think Sylvaris not tied to the Pale Trees (there’s another one apparently) will vanish after Mordremoth death, because nothing will protect them then…

Tempest can offer nothing more than what a traditional ele can. It is just fun to play. Chronomancer is one of the best specs in game atm, you would be better off rolling it.

Yeah, I just fully unlocked my chronomancer and as much as I LOVE my ele, the mesmer elite spec is so much more enjoyable to play than tempest, and chrono shield is fantastic.

What I have also found is that the fast pace play of the ele isn’t lost when playing the mesmer because of the active defenses. It is a nice change of pace, and I find myself thinking about my chrono spec.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not hating on my ele, but the mesmer is just so trixy.

Ohh, and chrono wells are awesome.

Yet people say nerf DH because it’s the most broken elite spec atm where Chrono just make Mesmer even more powerful when it already was.

Chronomancer is bad, Tempest is good, love life, hate the world, that’s it.

You know that the original plot for GW2 was angels and demons ascending/emerging to judge living beings? I would not be surprised if this is what happens when all Elder Dragons will die, we’re murdering nature after all.

Both were underground dragons, both were looking for energy, why didn’t they fight for it?

Rata Novus had a lot of fights with Primodrus, and there were a lot of magic energy neraby, why there was no destroyer presence in that area?

I always think Anet should have let the dragons’ force fight each other since they got the same goal-magic.

Primordus doesn’t need it, his power comes from his domain, that’s why he’s the strongest elder dragon, dem infinite supply of energy!

I think Primordus is the only Elder Dragon that does not corrupt things to turn them into minions, he use earth and fire to create these as a mockery of the original beings, and his domain belonged to asuras once.

The Abyss Elder Dragon is most likely the next one.

This event is just like TT, nobody will try it without TTS or other organized guilds unfortunately because randumbs are not willing to learn, people ignore the eggs and champions in TT most of the time where it’s the most important thing to kill these in order to succeed.

And let’s not forget how bad are the rewards, by the time I do one TT that still has 20% chance of failing with an organized guild (you have to consecrate an hour to do this thing), I can do Vinewrath 3-4 times…

Why would you nerf a class that doesn’t need to be nerfed? I suggest you to go in Mesmer and Engineer forums, because their Elite specs are broken right now (one can just one shot you and get back all the skills, hp, endurance, the other can just tank and faceroll a group of players with loads of conditions…).

Twisted Marionette or Toxic Hybrid or Scarlet Hologram fight on the ship or the promised Abaddon could be good fractals.
