Its been all said before. I like your guild tag idea. But I do not like the 5 man group tag idea.

While im not 100% certain of this statement I’m about to make, my experience with Anet since 2005 leads me to believe that: the original amazing team of balancing developers they had in gw1 are not the same ones that work on balancing gw2. In GW 1 nerfs and balances and readjustments came out almost instantly when something was found to be OP/ nerf-worthy. In gw2 (granted its a different and larger game) the turn around on these such things is still unacceptable.
There are plenty of 5-10 man groups in all of gw2 that can take on 2-3 times their numbers.

Fine, ok…I offended a fellow Darkhavener somehow while defending our server against the other servers poking fun at us…so be it…I will revert it to “useful skill”, wherein usefulness of the skill is relative and pretty much opinion-based. And everything I’ve expressed so far is in fact my opinion.
It is my opinion that playing a videogame is a use-LESS skill and not worth bragging about. A person bragging about skill in a videogame holds no meaning or value in my mind.
I am able to manipulate light with lenses to see the microscopic structures of the eyes, adnexa, and retina and I can use that information to diagnose a disease or lack there of. That, to me, is a useful skill. And I can actually brag about that. Now, I also play GW2, but you won’t ever see me bragging about my videogame skills since you already know I don’t consider it so. That’s just me though and that is also my opinion on this topic of video game skills. And I say that none of us have videogame skills. I clearly failed at deflating some nerd-rage directed at us by adding more to a fellow DHer.
If you are still offended, I would like you to redirect your energy towards those that say Darkhaven players, in general, have no skill. They are talking about you in their generalized blanket statement about the server we share.
I also don’t care that we have a ~30k lead…“skill” did not do that. Coverage did. And winning a week’s WvWvW match-up is ultimately inconsequential in the grand scheme of things and life in general.
Not offended. I’m just arguing semantics. In numerous studies it has been shown that console gaming (not keyboard gaming) actually benefits doctors in terms of finger dexterity and hand eye coordination. Puzzle games have cognitive benefits as well.
I myself can agree with some points of your opinions that video gaming is a less use-full skill in real world applications.

DH has a lot of terribad commanders. I just hope they are learning from their mistakes.
Its not just commanders.
As a solo roamer, I really have to say that on an aggregate level, DH players are probably the absolute least skilled players I have ever come across from any server by no small margin. Between all the servers that SBI has faced, DH really stands out as being the absolute worst in terms of player skill. I dare to say, DH players are possibly even worse than SBI players, most of whom I have absolutely zero respect for (in terms of player skill.)
uhh, last time i checked, we were up 30k. regardless of how you qualify skill, the fact that as a server we can dominate the two of you with a 30k lead is in itself a testament to how well we work together as a server in wvw.
yes, we have lots of commanders, we have some who are well known, some not so well known. and yes, there was a huge altercation in our own BL between commanders from different guilds on the night of reset. but eventually we moved passed it and (see previous paragraph) we are up 30k.

3pm est DH BL, redvale workshop. nice fight there BP. while we couldnt initially cap the camp 20 vs 40+ insta respawns from border WP AND bay WP… we had a fun time farming your bags for a good 5 mins in an open field battle.

YB attacking paper gate while giant hole is in the wall for a good 10 mins lol.
what you cant see is the rest of yb to the right (off of my ss) near the water with catapults lol.

I do not have too bad a problem with blind. You can Dodge and block blind attack projectiles . Don’t stand in a blind well.
Cleansing ire works great with lb/gs.
I thought soloing camps would be harder in WVW but they are still the same difficulty. Its still easy to solo the camps.
But here is a suggestion. Give trait called blind rage. Random effect increase our DMG by 150-200% for 4 seconds and reduce the duration of blind by 50%. Cannot trigger more than once every 20 seconds. OR gain retaliation , vigor and protection for 10 seconds cannot trigger more than once every 30 seconds. Immune to blind for 3 seconds after blind rage ends.
Most blinds last an avg of 5 seconds. This would give us 1 second window of opportunity to do a hefty bit of DMG to possibly make up for that duration of doing no DMG. The other effect that could randomly trigger gives us some survivability against being perma blind till we are dead. This is just something I came up with on the spot so its obviously not a perfect version of a trait. But what are your thoughts.

I want to say kudos to NSP the overall coordination that I have seen from you guys this week has been frustrating but very impressive. You have come a long way since DH has first started facing you like 3 months ago it feels like lol.

i was outraged at first, but playing with my ele and engi buddy and taking on constant 3v6-10 and winning in wvw last night, ive cooled down a bit on the changes.

tactics is STILL bad, Defense is STILL not up to par with other defensive lines for other classes.

The way I read the new trait suggests that when you go from a state of having adrenaline in your bar to a state of not having adrenaline, you remove x conditions for x bars of adrenaline when going from a state of having adrenaline to a state of not having adrenaline.
But who knows until we actually get to test it live…as opposed to us getting to say test it in a test server before it goes live… hint hint Anet.
Nice fight tonight at NE supply camp in IOJ BL [PB]. [DARK] 5 vs [PB] 10 was awesome. we got ya at the camp but you guys got us at the chokepoint with all those arrow carts at the north most supply camp.
please fix the lag associated with these new patches, it is atrocious. i have almost never lagged at all in-game up until this dragon bash event. please fix asap.

Interesting fights last night in ioj BL against [xoxo] thieves and other random thieves. Not sure if you are doing something 3rd party wise, but there is no reason for a 5v3 for me to be getting skill delay. Every instance where I came into range of the [xoxo] thief my skills would lag. And I only ever get skill delays at SM and that’s even rare for me.
We don’t cheat, we are just better then u.

Black and red colored armor, i think the thief had a guild emblem with either the whisper helm or the coe helm.

When developers themselves say “if a warrior needs to cc something before being able to deal damage, then there is something wrong with the class”.

Remove the root it does to the war and its fine in its current form. Allow for the user to move with their target.

why hasnt there been a better way to go about doing this than watching the roster for log-ins and player activity or sending in-game mail and waiting for a response?
in gw1 we could see the last log in date of a player. why has this not been implemented from the original game? seems like a nonsensical thing to leave out.

Because DAOC was the cream of the crop for RVR/ WVW. Yes it is still in existence. But it is not what it uses to be. The original concept, those who know old frontiers, can attest to how daoc is not as good as it used to be. They changed the system. That is why we no longer play.
Yes a lot of the time I will not pop my tag because there are already tags up. I like to give people a chance but i hate when there are 2 com tags up and some unknown pops their tag trying to take credit or take control out of nowhere.
I know I hate when people try to usurp me. If someone is a better commander than I am, who I know and have witnessed their commanding, I will usually have people rally to them, but sometimes random tag up and try to take over before the people I’m leading get to the other known commander I’m trying to transfer leadership to. And they end up screwing us up.
I think there should be three commander icon colours really:
Blue traditional dorito: Offensive zerg
Purple dorito: Defensive commander
Green dorito: PveOnly have to buy one dorito, but have the ability to change its colour depending on use.

Aion also had an interesting system for ranks, it was based off PvP point accumulation.

Obviously the more powerful weapons/armor and abilities would not come in to play, but the actual system for obtaining ranks is a bit more tangible per se.

Actually it is. Drawing an enemy force away or splitting them helps my side. That is the whole point of small skirmish groups. It is to district and bait.
It would be nice to see players who would be qualified to lead based on rank and badge/karma rather than 100g commanders that do not know how to effectively call strategy for the forces in WvW or that just don’t know what they are doing.
Too many times I see a known commander leading and some random n00b(s) tags up and splits the force and causes a loss of forward momentum because the lemmings and sheep that just follow tags do not actually read what the commander is saying or looks at the tagged name, they just head to the closest com tag and /face roll keyboard.
Yes there is an option to join a squad, but no one does it.

In DAOC the relics added inc/DEC % damage to the controlling server, if j remember correctly.
3 orbs, 5% per orb, maybe 15% max for DMG DMG reduc and 15% wxp

You are doing it wrong.
I can solo a supply camp and if undefended, I can solo a tower that doesn’t have increased level NPCs. I can take a keep with 5 players.
Its not hard you just need to be smart, know your surroundings and communicate well.
its 100% different stats tho. the wvw stats DO NOT affect fractal dmg inc/red
however the stats of fractal forged infusion DOES effect, albeit, a very tiny insignificant amount, wvw.
so, no.
i personally dont like the look of pred, i like hunter better, but as far as LB goes, the F1 skill in zergs just causes everyone to panic. countless times there is a zvz and me and a few friends bust out longbows and we push the enemy zerg way back because everyone is like, “ERMAHGAWD! IM ON FIRE WHAT DO I DO!?”

i like to stack the vet npcs together and use LB F1 skill then skill 3,2 switch to GS, 100B,whirlwind and the non supervisors are dead with sup at abotu 25% from self healing
I’d like them to give the juggernaut special more bonus vitality and toughness…akin to the necro-transformations. Maybe more damage on the auto attack as well.
The cooldown on the banner ulti is way too long and the ability is a copy paste aoe version of the signet ulti…would rather something other than pure stats as a third ulti
Or maybe make jug do something more in WvW like more DMG to siege/gates and less DMG from siege kind of like wxp skills.
