You want damage? give up some survivability.Warrior are beast when it come to dodge, due to large access to vigor (Traits : Arms VI, Discipline VIII. Warhorn skill 5) and good way to resplenish endurance (15pt trait in Strength. Signet of stamina). Warriors are good when it come to block to (Just look at mace skill and shield).
You think you ain’t enough sustain? You got no less than any other classe. Healing signet regeneration squale with healing power (Base healing is the same as any other passive regen), the same for Adrenal health. Ya think it’s not enough? Pop tactic banner and hit 2.All classes trad dps for sustain.
PS.: I’m not exhaustive here. Warrior have a lot more way to survive than just these.
again, guardians do not need to give up damage for sustainability and/or healing.

being on the east coast, of course i liked the 7/8 pm est, but i am used to having resets/events take place from GW1 at Noon PST/3:00 PM EST. since a lot of the player base is from gw1, i think most players would be comfortable with a 3:00 PM EST / 12:00 Noon PST wvw reset timer.

good thing people who dont check the forums can see that you guys yet again changed the reset times for WvW. im sure it wouldnt have been helpful for people to know just by looking at he log in screen or the news section on the gw2 website or twitter.

Any server with worthwhile WvW playing will have people checking these forums daily, said people will then talk about it in game, so even those that do not visit the forums will find out.

Sab can go and come back like other events done in gw1. Anet always does a good job of doing holiday and monthly events. The reason I’d like sab to go so that people start doing cathedrals in order again.
I do miss my polearm and halberds from my gladiator in Aion and black guard in war. LoL. But no. No one could dual wield two great swords with any degree of success based on the mechanics of the game based on real life.

I think warriors are great in our current form. We are pretty perfectly balanced.
The only thing I wish we had, and we kind of have it is a better passive ims.
Yes we can trait for war horn semi perma if we have war horn equipped. Or we can trait for 10% ims with melee weapons.
For me, while I use war horn sometimes for the ims, I would rather have a GS and rifle/longbow/hammer or s/b for my second, and have a perma passive ims like thieves rangers and eles.
My thoughts? Retrait the warriors spirit trait so that our ims is based off our level of adrenaline.
3 bars of Adrenaline: 1 bar 10% ims, 2 bars 15% ims, 3 full bars 25% ims.

Some abilities are unblockable like ranger and thief traps. So its possible some other immobilization skills are also unblockable. Also, are you talking pvp or pve? Anet is great for giving monster only abilities unblockable unstoppable types of abilities.
I like 20/20/15/0/15. Great survivability and dmg. My 100 blades crits for 17-20k.

Ive never had any issues with it. I just finished an exotic cleric draconic armor set with runes of dwyana. Sitting on 55s of regen duration with i think 810 healing. So i tick regen for about 350 currently between healing sig and adren health. Still need to get my accessories done.
Anet has stated on multiple occassions that warriors are exactly where they want them to be.
The majority of the war changes were tooltip fixes anyways.
I like banners. But shouts can remove condis on group. If you go banners get the regwn tactic at 30 tactics for sure. It does help out to have basically perma grouop regen for 30 sec.
Yes it does. Healing sig and 30 tactics banner trait and 15 defense stack. And the duration goes to make 30s. Im sure dolyak will add a third tick of health.
ANet knows how to make A successful pvp game. This can be seen through the success of gw1s pvp. It was a relatively perfect system.
To answer the op suggestion of a matchmaking option for same ranked players. While nothing is in place like that in tournaments, that option is, or at least was, available in hot join 8v8. (Its been a while since ive pvp’d because of the lack if fun and my team quitting) but i know at one point it did exist and i dont think maybe people knew about it.
I disagree. There are plenty of passive healing and triggered trait healing that can keep one alive without needing a trinity healer archetype.
Ive been missing some of the old things that made gw1 great and i was wondering if there was any talk about letting players do a little more customization to their skill bars. For those of you that played gw1, remember how we had complete control of all 8 skills on our bars?
Why not let us move our skills around on our bars instead of having us have to change the hot key bindings for them?
The other thing i miss about gw1 that should have been brought over is the non mandatory healing and elite skill.
While the healing skills are very nice on some classes, on others arent. Why not let us slot another utility skill in our healing slot and/elite slot?
Just my thoughts, but i think that would bring more diversity to everyone instead of everyone running the same thing.
If you want to be tanky in a dungeon id go with warhorn over shield. Personaly i like banner regen in 30 tactics and Warhorn convert conditions to boons over anything in the defense line. Shield isnt strong enough imo as it stands and the onlything good in defense traits aside from the adren regen at 15 pts.
20 points in Strength is enough for most builds. Usually there is no point in putting more than 20.
I agree completely with this. I only used 30 str in the bwe because i didnt know what j was doing back then. But the final tactics for 30 pts are not great enough imo to warrant putting those 10 pts into it.
Warriors arent designed to be tanks in gw2. They are designed as dps.
That being said. I think it would be better if it lasted a little longer than its current duration of what 4-5 seconds? Maybe 7 seconds woukd Be ideal. The 25% duration tactic increases it by roughly 1 second but thats still not worth it. Not to mention the only good thing about the defense line is the adren regen 15 pt passive trait ability. And thats not all that great either.
When i feel “tanky” i usualy run a variant of yojack’s build and use regen banners with 0/25/15/30/0 with a warhorn to convert my condis to boons. Only thing i really use a shield for is the kite event in cof path 2 while magg is blowing up the door.
I’Ve had the pleasure of playing with guud in DAoC for years. I know without a doubt, the majority of DAoC veterans feel the same way. I know i do. He raises valid points.
For me personally, i stopped wvwing so much because of the lack of tangible goal attainment as well as armor repair cost (something that never made sense to me, anet wants people to be in the game constantly, yet if you run out if money, you are effectively out of the game).
Id like to see some kind of realm rank like system and seeing armor repair taken out of wvw. I would also like to know who i am fighting. I see the value in the annonimity but even in the dark ages of war in medieval times, fame and reknown allowed soldiers and knights and samurai to Recognize and know who they might run into on the battlefield.
Just my thoughts, not sure if it helps at all.

I started using zerk stance, sword 2 leap and then pop flurry for the immobile. Switch to gs and 100 blades on those low targets instead of bulls. And its been working a lot better since everyone assumes you are going to bulls them lol.

Paid tpvp is not very diff from free tpvp. The best thing about gw1 pvp was thag it was 90% death match, 10% holding/capping points.

i really liked those aspects of pvp, and i’m kind of getting burned out on point capping style like Alliance Battles and FA/JQ from gw1.
You arent running 100% crit chance and you cannot control if your target will remove conditions. Its hard to say. But the chance to bleed someone is inherently higher than your chance to crit, i think, so it is possible to assume that condition damage would have a more reliable chance of Doing more dmg ove time. But its all subject to your oppone t. Are they dodging/blocking your crits? Or do they have a lot of condi removal? I myself have been leaning more towards conditions as of late and im still playing around with builds.

yup, i too miss FoW and UW. i also think the dungeons in gw1 were harder than they are in gw2. the only reason dungeons are a bit hard is the amount of hp, as others have said, that the mobs have.
so thanks to a ninja patch, 2nd boss Aldus whateverhisname now spawns 6 elites repeatedly, reflects all projectiles and still hits heavy armored glads and wars like a truck..

Human war elites do not go well at all. Severely disappointed with how fast hounds of balth die. Reaper would be ok if it actually lasted any amount time However it doesnt last long enough.
