The people that have good servers, they don’t see the problem because they didn’t have it. Or else they took advantage of the free transfers and did it back then when it was easy.

So they say, just do it. Or just transfer, farm the money. But why should someone be forced to farm money and transfer out? Then farm more money to transfer to get a second area if that’s not enough. Then farm more money to get back to the server your guild is on. The game should be designed so you can do content without such work arounds. And how are you to get into territory that is held by other servers if your server isn’t strong enough to capture it? Besides the “farm money and transfer however many times it takes argument”.

They are looking into rotating the map colors, independent of server rank. That should help when they put that in.

We might need to take age into account. I’m going to guess that OP is mid teens or so. Old enough to be coherent but young enough that he thinks the world should revolve around what he wants. Usually when someone gets older, they stop seeing the world in such a self centered way.

I would like more armor that shows fur, bioluminesce, and skin for both males and females. Not “near naked” armor but classy, sassy elegant armor that is not cover up everything and tack butt capes on top of it.

The best workaround for the mini pets being deposited is getting an invisible bag and putting it in there.

I agree it would be nice to see all your minis at once wherever you are and pick which you want, but I suspect the odds are low to never on seeing it.

As to the game putting money in the bank for you, just do it yourself every once in a while. It’s not that big a deal to go to LA or to WvW and a crafting place/bank there and put money in. The Devs have a lot of content and bugs to work on, not something of doubtful convenience.

There’s been so much “make it easier for me” threads, that I figured I’d share the opposite point of view. I’ve always said that everyone is capable of crafting their own Legendary weapons, but it takes dedication and time to get everything. If Anet makes it “too easy” to get a Legendary (by way of Precursor or T6/Lodestone drop increases), then some of the value is lost.

It still sounds like, “I got mine. I want to be a special snowflake and and no one else have what I have”. They made it hard enough that a lot of people aren’t trying to get it and it takes several months for the people that are. That’s hard enough. Getting one then asking to make it harder for everyone else is selfish.

And no, I’m not trying for one. You just came across in previous posts as a better person.

The “Return Rabbits to Arlo”, linked above, is an event not a heart.

That sounds like a great idea. It allows content to continuously increase yet not become stale because it sits in game forever and no one plays it anymore because they are bored with it.

Maybe they could work out some way for people who missed the original event to get the title.

I’ve seen a human male ele, white beard, named Gandalf, Gandalf Grahame iirc. That combo won an eye roll from me.

Guild Wars 1 had 4 weapon slots on the UI. I’ve often wished they had the equivalent. Let them be locked in combat to the two (or depending on profession, one) you choose and then can’t switch again to another set until out of combat. It would encourage people to use different weapons depending on the situation instead of only one set. Right now people tend to settle on one set and that’s all they use. Then they complain that combat is stale. Freeing up the ease of switching for all professions would benefit all.

While I can sympathize with ele’s wanting out of combat weapon swapping, they are not the only ones who store extra weapons in their inventory. I would think most people carry more than just the weapons they use regularly and some people carry one of each type they use because they switch weapons according to what they need or just to change up combat. My guardian usually uses hammer and scepter/shield. But I also carry a staff, mace and a focus as I use them also. Whenever I need them I have to open up my inventory and look for them, as well as be careful not to sell them. So each profession has the problem the ele is claiming.

There is a 1-week “cooldown” period for access to a guild bank for new guild members iirc.

What happened to all those posts saying ANet needs to merge empty servers? People already complain that maps are empty. Adding more servers will cause more of these complaints.

They have already increased the population caps on the servers. They should be able to do it again.

No, there is no way to remove them. They are people who friended you and who you have not friended.

I don’t think anyone besides the Devs know but if it is like the other skins they put in the BL chests then they are temporary. If so then the vender is also likely to disappear in the near future.

If you get any pet to level 20, that’s a point also, which would be cheaper than a rare minipet if you don’t have the money to buy one. If you have a character at level 20 that is a ranger or has ranger secondary you can death level one. It will take a few hours but you can be afk during this. Just check every once in a while to make sure it’s not hung up somehow.

Yah, it’s the one about verifying your account ownership, or whatever they say. It looks official and people have fallen for it. Just have to be careful. At least they have the account rollback in place now. However it’s a once in lifetime thing. So if you have a new account it might be better to start over and save it in case you get hacked when you have played for a long time.

That’s a phishing email that has several threads on it. ANet says they will never contact you in such a manner. There is a red stickied thread about those types of emails. Sorry you got hacked. Contact support and get a account rollback to get your stuff back. Good luck.

A different color would help. Currently the cursor disappears or something. There are times when I have to stop and wave my cursor over the screen to find it. Not the best thing to have to do in the middle of combat.

Ok, maybe that was the problem. The group did hang back some. I guess we needed to run in and target the champion. He must have called up the adds at a fast rate.

This looks about right. It’s dark enough that you know it’s night but not so dark that it causes a problem getting around. If they are going to have day/night cycles then you should be able to tell the difference. Right now you can’t easily tell.

TL:DR: Darker at night please.

A group of us were doing the dungeon. We had just started. We were where the drill tunnels into a room with fire elementals. And they stopped us. There were a number of them, 6 or so with a champion, respawning as soon as we killed them. They covered the ground with the fire AOE and swarmed us. We tried pulling them into the tunnel and killing them but again they respawned as fast as we were killing them and the AOE kept pushing us back because it killed fast if you stood in it. Then they would reset and regen when we got too far back.

So, is this a bug or were we doing something wrong? We had done it before and it wasn’t like this.

Group: 2 ele’s (neither was using flame attunement), one ranger, one guardian, one thief.

It can be hard not to support a relative or friend, even if you know they are in the wrong. But if he is bringing it down upon his own head, he will need to learn somewhere how to behave and how to treat others. You will have to bite the bullet and transfer, for his sake and yours. For his sake because he needs to learn that actions have consequences. For yours, to get away from the situation and to help him learn to change his behavior. You might consider talking to him about why you are leaving. It’s likely to cause hard feelings but he should know why and what he needs to change.

If your brother is so infamous that no one can stand him, so much a troll that it’s spilling over to you, then maybe you need to go to a different new server. Somewhere where he isn’t. He will need to sink or swim on his own. It’s called tough love.

As for the commander title, obviously they don’t respect you as a commander in that server. Wearing it is gaining you negative attention. I would recommend turning it off, switching servers and not wearing it for a few months. Allow the people in WvW in the new server to see you around and start respecting you. Then turn it back on.

How do these people know who you are related to? Why would they call you a troll just because you are related to someone? On two different servers, people spontaneously start attacking you and calling you names? Because you are related to someone else? I’m sorry, but that is hard to believe. I have to wonder what you were saying in chat to make people start calling you a troll.

There is a piece of this story left out.

If you don’t want to be called a troll then don’t speak in chat for a while. When you do, think 3 times before you say anything. Keep anything you say polite and to the point.

If they are calling you a crap or a troll commander, then maybe you need to give it up for a while. Just because you bought the title doesn’t means you are any good at it.

Since the clones are supposed to be identical to the Mesmer, maybe they should get the target showing on them also.

I think allowing people to wear full town clothes “over” armor would make the game look too cartoonish. That’s just my personal opinion though. If the game goes that route then people would also want to fight in their underwear with all their armor hidden. When I jump into combat I prefer to see people that look like they are geared up for combat. Instead everyone would be running around in shirts with rabbit ears. There are a few smaller items I think might be okay like sunglasses since they don’t detract from the overall combat appearance as you can hide your head gear anyway.

After the dungeon is gone the population should drop some. The best times to check will on a weekday and early morning (after midnight and before 6am, server time).

I thought about it, did the math to see if it was cost effective and no it wasn’t. Maybe if they changed the drop rate for the dust.

I bought the hair kit to change the color of the accessory and found out then it’s only the starter colors. So it STILL doesn’t match. Waste of gold.

You need to be able to use the colors that you have unlocked and it needs to either be very cheap or have multiple uses. Because truthfully, ANet messed up here. They should have known that the starter colors would clash with later colors and that people who can dye their armor at will, will also want to dye the hair accessories.

I would get two bears right off and use them till you feel more comfortable with swapping and managing them. You can get 2 easily in the Norn area. Hoelbrak by the lake and the noob area heart, the bear shrine. The Charr area has black bears somewhere in the middle.Then I would use shortbow and maybe axe/warhorn as alternate. Longbow does poor damage when close up but some like it anyway. Get traps as soon as you can.

After you have leveled awhile, you can branch out to other pets and weapons. But I would use those to start out with.
