Back during the whole “Isle of Jaspenwood” thing, we had a lot more courtesy regarding your transfers than you’re having about ours.
Every post coming out of FA is just “Dragonwagon this” or “Brandwagon that”,
Show some class and get over it.
I’ve decided that Asudementio wanted an easy stomp (like he had when FA was in T3 – even after their IoJ transfers) . He (notice i said he, and not the whole FA) didn’t get the easy win and is bitter about it.
I’ve never seen anyone complain so much about an abundance of targets on the field and a decently competitive tier.
I don’t want an easy stomp but don’t let me persuade you otherwise. What i want is a competitive tier with well-mannered opponents, but i gave up on that long ago when i first saw how DB decided to portray themselves. No one i playwith enjoys easy fights, but we enjoy condescending kitteny opponents even less.

Wasn’t FA “Isle of Jaspenwood” for a while? And I seem to recall TC claimed a number of CD guilds at the very least, and I imagine there were others.
In typical fashion, it’s all fine and well when someone transfers to your server. But they’re bandwagoners if they go elsewhere. And, heaven forbid they actually left your server – then they’re maggots who were never worth your time to begin with.
Having said that, I understand poking fun at those who always have to be on the winning side. But ‘to cast the first stone’ and all that.
I was also going to point out that DB’s first week in tier 3, FA received many guilds worth of transfers and completely kittened up what could have been a balanced tier 3 for like a month.
Why?
Because they wanted to move to tier 2 and not get stomped on. (It’s almost like… it’s the exact same thing we did…)
And yet here FA are being the most vocal about our transfers.
Look look! FA did the same thing we are doing that makes it right!!! Own it DB or should i say WB- its okay to do what you do but you’ll get flak. No big deal right? Own it.

lol, it was pretty fast paced. I remember an assura( I think there was and assura thief there, lol) and a humie. It was the human that got me both times. The location was was the behind that building northeast of the actual supply camp. Where guys like to hide in it. I think I was the only mesmer there. I run a full power/precision/crit damage build. Tossin out phantasms like candy and usin blink/invis when possible.
The thief that i havent played much in a good while is built off of Wild Bill’s from youtube. P/D build.

This is to the thieves of Tarnished Coast who were playing on FABL. Last night around 9pm eastern time… A few of you were messing around with us up at the Northern supply camp. I was the terribly played mesmer that you seemed to like targeting. I had to be bad, you guys took me down so darn quick. And I swear, you ignored my fellow buddies…just to get me, every darn time I showed back up.
I guess I just suck…and you were pretty good. I think there were two or three of ya….there were more of us than you. My question is….what was yer build. Specifically to the guy that kept coming for me. I know its a stealth build…not sure on weps….didnt live long enough to pay attention. And was having enough fun to come back and give it another go. You rarely stayed in stealth for long…
You’d get yer attack…stealth, attack, stealth….. Ive delt with my fair share of thieves. But this is very aggressive….fast paced in and out close up stealth attacks. And would love to read up on the build/playstyle. Got a lvl 60 thief that I wouldnt mind trying this on.
Maybe this seems so different than others in the past because of my new computer build. Cuz I have zero render issues with max settings now, compared to two months ago. Heck i catch myself stopping now and then and looking at details that my HD 6950 didnt show, that my SOC gtx 680 does show.

I mean I can understand wanting a more balanced WvW its not fun to win all of the time, or have big ques and not be able to play. But I am sad to see if JQ becomes the next victim. If you guys can just hold it together we would have a really balanced T1 now that BG is stepping up their game and using some better tactics and SoR got some guilds that are not NA.
It just seems kinda strange to me to go to Dragonbrand. Dragonbrand was my server at the begining of the game. It was doing pretty good in T2 then we lost one time and the whole thing fell apart and everyone left. The only reason DB is in T2 now is its becasme the next bandwagon server. I hate to use this term becasue it has a negative sense to it. And I’m not saying that is bad, But I’m saying that somtimes these servers are fundamentally unstable. And when somthing bad happens like some big drama goes down and people start to xfer off everyone starts to xfer in the same maner they got there in the 1st place.
So yeah I dont understand this neew plan lets move to DB just so we can get back to T1 where we already were in the 1st place. But probably be facerolled by BG or something. Instead of staying where we are and kicking BGs kitten I dont get it.
Actually DB moved into T2 without transfers….. With transfers we are doing better than we thought.

The Dragonbrand conspiracy begins. That’s it! We make other servers lose in their tier then wait for them to implode and drop, then we strike hard while the iron is hot so we can move up. Do you see how ridiculous that sounds? Do you know how the ratings system works?
You sound like you have some animosity towards DB for no reason at all – from your reply to one of my earlier posts, now this. First we are omgbandwagonxtreme server – and now we are cross-tier saboteurs who can mold tiers to suit our needs.

edit: in response to your reply to my earlier post. I don’t ever recall DB calling FA or TC a “bandwagon” server nor a desire to see either implode. Both servers were too big for T3, we knew it and rolled with it.

1) If you guys are still discussing how that AC was hitting behind the gates at south hills… an AC below where you build a treb to hit lake tower can hit there behind south hills gate. Pretty standard tactic in tier 1 to clear out siege at south hills.
2) DB please please take this time to point out and educate some of your guys coming into the Tier 1 thread about how DB will come storming in, on how the rating system works.
Yeah, this dude knows what’s up. Even if we tick 300+ for most of the day (which is probably unlikely from here on out) we’ll still be in T2 for a few more weeks at least. 50+k wins It’s actually probably more likely at this point that a T1 server (dare I say, might it actually be JQ?) will drop down than it is DB will advance. If that happens, we’ll get eaten alive. The only way we’d have a chance in T1 right now is to improve our team builds, TS usage, and to become more diligent about following commanders in battle. A zerg who sends 5+ to burst down individual stragglers will soon find itself back at spawn.
Maintaining +50k isn’t a guarantee of moving up. The way the glicko system works is that you are, in some respects, fighting against your past selves. If you win two weeks by +50k, and you win the next week by +40k, chances are your glicko rating is going to DROP, not RISE that week.
Maintaining a +50k average will probably not end up pushing you up a tier, unless a server in the tier above does badly, consistently. At a +50k average, and with a stable tier above, you will just hit a sort-of equilibrium in the tier you’re in where your +50k wins aren’t actually increasing your rating.
Glicko is more complex than it seems from the initial glance. Moving up a tier pretty much requires a server to lay waste to the tier they’re in for two weeks, and often times that won’t even be enough if the tier above them is evenly matched and consistent. This was the case for a long time in T8/T7.
I myself held a similar conclusion, for the most part a good portion of DB knows that we’re going to be in tier 2 for at least 3-4 weeks but even this time period if partially dependant on the dropping on JQ and having it become an uneven match and any form of possible kindness from the glicko system.
Beyond that a lot of us know that striving increasingly hard to get to t1 would cause some issues as when we(if) get there we do not have the numbers or coverage to counter BG, who has recently received quite an influx, so for the most part a lot of us are more concerned with building the server better as a whole and collecting and organizing ourselves as DB has also come into a bit of influx.
On a personal note i’m not too concerned with our T1 progress although I would like to move up eventually i’m ok with staying in t2 for a bit, I personally transferred off JQ due to the overall visceral environment and boredom that can occur and wanted to get into something new and i’m glad TC or FA is actually not affected by it as much and on that note lets try to clean up this thread a bit and make a bit more civil no amount of chest thumping helps anyone except for a broken ego (although i’m not against light teasing)

It does need to be closed though agree for everyone wether achieved by hak or exploit , and probably a few bannings .

Well, I think pointing it out to TC in the forums makes them aware of what is being done. Hopefully, they recognize that using this method to take keeps reflects badly on them “tarnishing” their reputation.

Just read the review and i have to say that i think it is as the author would say flawed. There is transparent bias against almost everything about the game with equally transparent false equivocations and positions developed with admitted little or no experience. The review is in short shallow. The author’s impression of the game given these circumstances is understandable but that the review should be given any merit is laughable.

In fact, it’s not even an insult because it’s so common for a guild to xfer out of an imploding server. Your rebellion is resultless.

This gentleman and his guild are new transfers to Blackgate. They are by the very definition of the word bandwagoning to the top server. This gentleman and some of his guildmates in their 2nd week in the match up went on to these forums and started bashing every guild on SoR including our flagship guild TW.
TW took it as a challenge and has stacked into EB all week, a borderland they have never gone to before, just to fight these guys. Now after 4 days of getting what was coming to him he’s running like a coward….
Guilds have bandwagoned to SoR as well, get over yourselves.

I don’t have time to do it for TC and DB but It would be Interesting to see the comparison… although I think FA has the worst stats probably lol.
Love those stats. Part of what makes FA my all time favorite server is our desire to not be in first. We don’t like it. We like having a plethora of confident enemies to fight. We do our best to deter PPT focused guilds from coming over here. We are not a Transfer Coast or Wagonbrand.
I know in BT we have some awesome times every night. There is always a BP, CO, RE, AGG, PiNK, TSL, ESP, DIS, etc on any map to fight and we don’t have to compete with another guild or group to find fights.
Its like our own private fight club.
I’ve said this to TC before and I will say it to DB. We don’t care about the meta game. You (DB) do. When you are happy with your server match up victories, it keeps you in the field fighting and provides us with our entertainment. Its a win win for all of us.

Do people really enjoy playing on a stacked timezone that much? I remember when SOR was like that in T2 for a week or two after SBI had imploded and TC, while doing their best, were totally outnumbered. SOR pretty much had all 4 maps capped and there were a swarm of us just wasting time sitting outside TC’s spawn. It was the most kitten shameful and boring half hour I’ve spent in GW2 and I logged in disgust and didn’t go back to WvW until SOR finally moved to T1.
I can’t imagine people actually paying gold to transfer into such a situation and continuing to come out for weeks and months to PVDoor and look at an all green map.
you obviously don’t have to ask if people enjoy playing in stacked timezones after all you witnessed SoR enjoying it.

Lol if you think KN will hold their lead throughout the week. They are a kittening ghost town in everything but SEA primetime throughout the weekdays. The same thing happened last week and Mag won by the end.

Surprisingly, there is FAR less drama between FA and TC, in my opinion. I wonder if it’s because we’re all now in a T3 matchup from the past, but in T2 now. Haha. PEOPLE ARE HAPPY!!!
From my experience, TC and FA always got along just fine right up to the point where TC would take the score lead. Then the regular and few sore winners from TC would come to the forums and start trolling FA. FA would respond in kind. Those same people tend to be much quieter otherwise and so there is much less drama. Most really don’t care who wins the week since it’s reflection of coverage and nothing else, but I think the forums at least appreciated TC coming in third last week.

To the [PiNK] ranger with major rank. You had to escape from me in the water so I wouldn’t kill you in that 1v2 (you and that guardian), which then turned into a 1v8+… chased me all the way from north of bay to vale, where I died.
Why you had to laugh and dance on my body..I’m not sure. I don’t think your performance against me really warranted that. If you want that 1v2 rematch against you and that guardian, I’d be happy to beat both of you. Stay classy.

DB has done a very good job in attracting new guilds to their server, As well as FA. They seem to have better coverage now.Although DB seems to have a stronger presence in all the maps more consistently.
TC has not reported for duty it seems this week. Yes we do have our NA prime time, but our off hours is lacking greatly.
The EB battles have been well fought! and none of the servers have taken the upper hand for long.
But as you said it is a long week ahead!
Curious to know this influx of new guilds to FA. Only really heard of a few individual transfers here and there, nothing massive like DB or TC has gotten in the past few weeks.
Yah…people are confused. We have gotten some individual players, but no new guilds in weeks.
Our net gain vs loss is probably the same in any case. ZN bandwagonned to TC, and we probably gained about as many players as they fielded.

I’m not sure why some TC posters think they are in a position to push FA to tier 3.
That was already tried for 2 months straight without success and now with another strong contender here, you’ve got to watch your other flank.
Feel free to try, but you’re just hurting youself.
We’ve already proven that T2 is a good place for us. If you want a week without us, feel free to drop to tier 3 or jump to tier 1.
And man did they try! They even went as far as using their best-friends-forever server (KN) to try and steamroll us while being on an evident truce between them and what did they get with that? Well, KN is now in T3 and they were also gutted by their so-called ‘friends’ in order to boast their numbers.
TC should know better that for every action, there is a reaction.
That being said… AMAZING fights all over this weekend. Grats DB on your current #1.

The real problem I see with this situation is why did it take you “a few minutes” to respawn? If you don’t like what happens after you die, don’t sit there and take it.

I am hoping it would make us the semi-competitive server during SEA but not the dominant one (Kaineng still as long as WM keeps playing). If you look at T1 when the game launched or 3-4 months back the coverage all three of us have right now was pretty much T1 coverage. That ceiling of coverage keeps increasing and I think the megaservers will keep increasing (especially if skill lag is fixed – one of the main problems with both EU and NA T1). Todays T1 servers are imo twice the size of T1 servers a couple of months back.
It might make us T1.5 although I would wager its more around the T1.25 area. But a month down the line when hopefully you guys get the few europeans and Kainengs get the NA required that would be the new T2 and T1 would be some other monster all together. Obviously all this rests on the fact that none of the T1 servers implode and looking at the three servers up their right now all three of them are very very stubborn servers.
Just imagine a T2 where PVD does not exist. I can dream.
While I do not care at all about TC getting more guilds, power to you, but I find the whole idea that we all keep cramming more and more people onto the same servers, thus increasing the coverage ceiling over and over, is a horrible, player driven issue.
First is the obvious side effects of constantly messing with our balance. I think few would disagree that one of the good things about T2 is the balance, servers actively recruiting messes that up regardless if that is intended or not.
Second is the ever decreasing enjoyment level of play. Reset night is really anything, but fun. Spend more time waiting in que, the rest of the time waiting for a skill to go off. Get’s better later in the week, but still when two big zergs collide they are so big it creates skill lag across the entire map. Why would we want to make that more the ‘norm’?
In the end this particular situation does not matter to me. Naga had some nice people, so be nice to see some of them again. I do think however that players themselves are making the game worse with their constant strive to get better by getting bigger.
I guess some folks will do whatever it takes to win… even if they step on their friends to do it.
Isn’t FA’s drive to play WvW the large fights it makes? We are doing a favor for ya’ll in getting more players are we not?

Dont know if this was necessary of a full fledged post. We all know about the trolls out there. We know GSCH and the other guilds are loyal to SoR. We are proud and trusting of our community.
This was posted on the server forums as well, I think he just wanted to reiterate them here for anyone that would doubt. Honestly, to even have that question come up means someone is trying to break apart communities. I think we as a collective GW2 community can agree that this is just disgusting in general and should be frowned upon by anyone.
GSCH and SoR are synonymous. They are the heart of this server, and what I believe this server stands for.
Really? Because asking a question, even legitimately, should just be considered malicious….. Some people don’t know about your server and may be interested if guilds are moving from it just as people have their interests peeked when guilds move from other servers. Only SoR is this defensive over a harmless question. If you were so certain of the foundation on which your community is built do not fret this little stuff.

I just transferred from BG to TC after getting tired of the ridiculous mega-zerging and skill lag that is T1 WvW and i can say that your thread is excellent and really fun to read. If you are prepared for some hardcore cringe, go check out the JQ-BG-SoR thread. Be warned though.
Transferred off BG for the same reason. TC is great compared to BG once I found a great group to stick with. Lots more fun
Good to hear theres more that are doing this. Tranfered off of Bg as well but went to FA. Went with the least zergy server. Definitly quality over quantity. Not sure Tc knows any other way but to zerg something.
Funny, i distinctly remember FA zerging all over KN bl last night and still getting wiped due to their being outmaneuvered.

War, this has to be the single most ludicrous comment aside from murderin posing as a TC player.
Last night in TCBL was a blast. Ashburn leading TSL in holding Hills, taking Bay and otherwise destroying every FA group we came across, no matter how big and Kittenae, Azeroth,and Coral running back and forth taking POI and slaughtering people as they went.
Kain showed up here and there and overwhelmed us at times but never without paying a price in dead bodies, it was an absolutely fantastic night.
Near the end of the night when TSL’s group dwindled from 20 to around 13 we came across a large Kain force at Longview.I asked if our guys wanted to recall knowing the answer and they didn’t disappoint….Hell no we don’t recall, we attacked, we died, we will see you again this evening.

Nice to know the replies and pm messages we got about the community didn’t cover the wvw section. Apparently its so hard to believe new transfers question the experience they had the night they transferred. We had the same thing on blackgate where a lot of commanders avoided combat unless it was pvdoor. we have been looking for a server since we came back to the game, my bad for telling him this one.. So welcoming.
Run with different groups on TC- some of us do enjoy zerg-busting and don’t actively seek pvdooring.
