The other night I saw a bunch of Crystal Desert defending Bay (I believe in SoS BL) to the death. I came in with a group of 4-6 to check it out and I saw TC had sieged open almost every gate.

I saw lots of CD pouring in to try to counter TC trying to cap Bay. I have no idea how long CD had been holding off TC. CD has spirit and people who play. Lower ratings means fewer WvW’rs and perhaps that is skewing how people view this matchup.

Focus on having fun folks. Afterall isn’t that what playing games is all about?

Can we all please bring down the aggression a bit? CD and SoS [Cult] has enjoyed the fights you guys have brought. The way these matches have become it is very hard to even want to go into WvW when there is a larger force, yet there are many on both your servers that are bringing the fight everyday. A special shot out to SoS that had their natural tower on CDBL last night (I think it was mostly FoE) we knocked the wall down a few times but you guys had that thing locked up!

I’m pretty sure it was a [TC] commander and ET militia that took the tower. [FoE] was mostly fighting at the bridge and the camp. I really, really wanted more TC to overextend. Maybe next time I’ll bring my uplevel. Everytime I’m on her, I get “loved” halfway across the map.

I don’t play oceanic but try asking on the SoS forums. There are plenty of awesome oceanic guilds.

At current gem prices, transferring to a very high server is closer to 55 gold.

Stay on SoS. Luvpie is a great guy and super helpful.

This thread is the best thing I’ve read all day. Please keep up the forum warrior antics. I miss being killed in less than 5 seconds by Paxa, KoM, SS, Yarr and everybody else. I should transfer to FC temporarily to get curbstomped by Basic to complete the trifecta.

I think you’ll get a better response there. My own guild is a WvW guild however it sounds like you’re looking for a PvX guild. I’m not sure about all the different policies between all the different guilds. You may want to browse the guild profiles section: http://www.gw2sos.com/viewforum.php?f=20 and apply to the guild that suits your needs.

My former guild on ET, FSÆ. http://fsae.forumotion.com/ has a lot of nice people that will help you out. Pallar is especially helpful at running dungeons on voice chat. They are PvX

T1 (top 3) and T8 (bottom 2) have the most chance of being stuck together most of the time. T1 is obviously a bad choice. Plus it’s dirt cheap to transfer to ET and FC. The 3rd server is the only wildcard.

You might want to edit the title to reflect your server name.

My guildies told me how much gold I could make farming dragonbash and I skipped my nightly WvW entirely.

GoM = <3 for allowing people get map completions. I love the graciousness.

Proposal to the top servers. Harass the PvE’rs to leave your server. You don’t need them anyway. I kid, I kid.

A lot of people have map chat turned off. I tend to use team chat more than map chat for WvW purposes.

KWBH on CD WvW and everything else you listed. They are new to CD so not sure what their guild missions are like.

Hi Jinx. I’m no longer on Eredon Terrace but I can recommend FSÆ http://fsae.forumotion.com/. For WvW, it’ll be a lot easier if you get on voice chat with them. The WvW group runs later at night (starting around 11pm PST).

I miss Ajax since transferring. The resident troll is the funniest thing on ET. He even tells you to /ignore Ajax Blue!

FSÆ is definitely still on ET. I joined another guild and followed them to SoS. When I get home, I’ll get one of the officers to respond to you. They’re very nice people. The WvW contingent is small but they run every night.

It’s interesting you mention this. We’ve encountered quite a few very squishy SoS and have had conversations wondering why they’re wearing zerker gear in WvW….

Someone needs to educate them a bit… If nothing else, Knights gear is a minor decrease in damage, and a good increase in survivability….

Gear should be reflective of your role within the group and your risk. This pervasive view that everyone go defensive because we all stand in a giant ball is a crutch, so you do not have to learn to position, move, dodge or rely on the support of your team.

I like tankier builds. I tell other people to build tankier. If you can run a berserker build and live in WvW, kudos man! I’m not as awesome as you are. I don’t like someone in my group dying first and rallying the enemy team. I especially dislike being that person.

I’m no longer on ET but try FSÆ http://fsae.forumotion.com/ (I am a member of FSAE but not active at the moment). They do late more late night WvW (around 11pm PST). Alternatively, try SOL. I also like PK. PK is more PvE than WvW but Cedrick is the nicest man around.

If you’re a hardcore PvPer, Basic [BS] is really awesome. They are invitation only though so you’d have to prove you’re very good in the first place.

The internet doesn’t convey tone at all. If you knew Cedrick and you would know he would never troll someone. He is one of the nicest guys in the world.

I’m new to SoS but the impression I get is that everyone was bored of the old match up. It wasn’t particularly exciting to dominate every week.

Of course I would love to win but I don’t really play for PPT or overall score. The fights are what make the game exciting. You get wiped, you wipe them, you build ACs for every open field battle (half kidding about the last one). I have had a lot of fun this week fighting TC & FA. I love the ferocity of SoS regardless of the score. There are frequent short queues for EB and SoS.

I was a long time resident of Eredon Terrace. My attitude toward PPT and overscore may be a bit different from people on servers that aren’t so used to losing. For me, it’s pretty kitten exciting to be fighting alongside so many people (with approximately equal numbers on both sides!)

^THIS. I’m sure people have /laugh /dance /sit /whatever on me but I never see it. If I look like I’m finished, I immediately hit M so I can get back into the fight ASAP.

I followed FoE here. I am friends with many people in End though. ET is a small community so everybody knows everybody else.

PAXA gets a lot of attention. I’d like to shout out to KOM (HoD), BS (ET) and Yarr (FC).

I’ve been melted by KOM faster than I could blink. Yarr has great roamers. The ranger and guardians are amazing. I had fun watching a thief distract HoD and gank people all night. I loved running with Basic and taking on much bigger groups.

A bit sad that T8 roaming has broken up. I hope y’all get back together soon.

Logged on and SOS EB is not only in outmanned status but there are literally like 5 people on for well over an hour until the game went down for the update. I love how everyone on here LOVES it, yet WVW is becoming a ghost town.

Hi. I came from Eredon Terrace. Let me tell you that SoS EB is no ghost town. I go to EB and I am delighted by the number of people I see there. I see queues all the time for SoS BL. It is awesome. I remain surprised when I don’t have the outmanned buff.

It’s all a matter of perspective.

You’re getting mightily influenced by the TC RP’ers.

As a new transfer to SoS, I want to say I love the WvW community. The “bring it” attitude is inspiring.

But..but…I want my jester class. I’ll make mine into a Harley Quinn.

I loved the community on ET. People are friendly and helpful. People guest in and call LA a ghost town. It’s not a ghost town. It’s a small town community. Everybody knows everybody else and you always run into them. It’s not something you find on most servers. (PS: Trolls are on every server. I doubt ET has the majority.)

That said, the most fun I had was WvW and it is hard to play with the smallest WvW population and probably the most inexperienced WvW population. People are leaving because they want to have fun in WvW. If a troll could drive me away from ET, I would’ve left 6 months ago. <waves at Ajax>

@Devon, thank you for all your efforts and the time you spend communicating to the players. I and most GW2 players appreciate it.

@Devon, you need to hang out in the right spot in LA. We tend to talk in say chat. Especially when the regulars get together and the conversations get downright silly.

I was complaining the other day that I got stuck all day chatting in LA and not getting any playtime in.

I thoroughly enjoyed the forum war. It was like a slow motion car crash. I knew it was going to be bad but I couldn’t stop watching. (spammed refresh button repeatedly)

In other news, what does everyone think of the WvW patch this week? Do you think T8 will attract more PvE people to WvW? There are fancy chests with a chance of “precursors” now.

No, NO! I can’t bear the thought. We have to be together FOREVER.

Most players if they play like they normally play, will get their chests eventually. Some people are so dramatic with the “I will never get my rewards” line. If you want your reward sooner, main that character until you get to the correct rank. You may not get your reward this month but it’ll be nice to get extra chests next month or a few months from now.

Go fight PAXA. They’re fun. And by fun, you’re going to get stomped by an effective team build. There are some awesome 3 way fights that go on most nights. You should join in.

I do have to say that HoD’s zergs can be coordinated. That is beside the point since Fiction is looking for small groups. I see many more large HoD groups than small man groups from them during primetime. ET is outnumbered in comparison.

Come to ET or FC. HoD definitely outnumbers either ET and FC during primetime. I consider HoD “zergy” for our tier. it’s not zerg of 100 but ET/FC are a single zerg each and HoD is has multiple zergs of 40.

Alternatively, I recommend GoM though I’m not sure of their current state since they picked up some new guilds. When they were in T8, they had a lot of small groups of 5-10.

@DeeSystm I tried hard to read what you said. But since every other word is kitten, the meaning was lost on me.

A lot of how the rewards are structured are designed to encourage people to do everything. You may have some fun in sPvP or (horror of horrors) PvE. It’ll probably decrease the amount of burnout as well.
