Great job everyone. The music makes me happy too.
Doesn’t it give you a confirmation?
But have you seen the costume? Dapper as kitten.
Why not just go all out and ask anet to peg them at 20s again?
Retaliation does not reduce damage taken by the affected player, but damages anyone who hits them (even if the hit doesn’t actually inflict damage; for example, if it is blocked).
Damage dealt depends on the level and power of the retaliation’s source. Retaliation deals 267 damage per hit at level 80 with the base power of 916, and +1 damage for every 13.4 power above that. It is not reduced by the target’s armor.
Yes quick delete and salvage options would be most welcome.
I promise I won’t come here and whine if I screw up and delete something important.
wvw or racial city maybe? I finished my first 100% like a week ago so I assure you it’s working.
You get the cumulative total so the second of your choices.
At least one solid month where gw1 is the only game you play (speaking from experience). It probably takes longer now than when I did it though.
And 4 points gets you the heritage boots, pants, chest and gloves.
Well you have an easier start by virtue of having money and knowledge of the world.
As someone who played asura since launch and is now playing a max size norn I can say that the dodge timings feel very different. It’s almost like I need to pre-dodge on my norn compared to the asura because it seems like it takes so long to get to the invuln frames.
I have never had a problem soloing a standard DE on my engi. Guardian is even easier. Not sure what you’re looking for exactly.
use ash legion spy kits for commune skill points. There aren’t too many that you need to fight for.
There is a sticky at the top of this forum with general tips for new players.
Portal is the best skill in the game.
Only really funny if they can get the exit in a spot that drops you to your death.
Also good at LA trading post.
I feel like being an elementalist doesn’t help either, but that might just be an excuse for not fully understand how to play the profession because I usually can’t go more than 15 minutes without dying in any given map on the game.
This is your problem. If you can’t go 15 minutes without dying in like Sparkfly or Mt. Maelstrom how do you expect to survive in orr? Something is wrong with your gear or build or play (maybe all three). Try spending some time reading the ele forum for advice. I don’t play an ele so I can’t help you much myself in that regard.
I heard you have to buy it from the gem store and it is going to cost A LOT.
like more than 100 gems? Because they are getting pretty expensive…
I heard it was going to be listed at 9001 gems.
There’s no way that can be right.

ok….
So lets say a legendary takes 400 hours to make (just a random number) and you have 10 people working on it. It would take 40 hours to complete. You need to make 10 of them though, taking 400 hours.
You might say that farming in a group will speed things up and I agree, but it would speed things up equally if everyone was working on their own items and farming together.
I don’t get it other than as a scheme of some sort.
Well thats funny, I was pretty much set on Human for race choice. So in general, like Regizer said, the higher ranked WvW servers are more populated?
That first guy is from SBI which is pretty highly ranked so it’s kind of a crapshoot. High wvw rank means that a larger portion of your player base is focused on wvw which might actually mean lower pve populations. It really depends.
Farming an item doesn’t make it free
That’s all Im going to say
I will never understand the vast number of mmo players who simply refuse to get this through their heads.
I suppose the human avatar is what people like.
Most played race.
Like I said, 1000 hours was just a random number for argument’s sake. The actual number doesn’t really matter.
Certainly less populated than at launch but the noob zones aren’t dead. The human area tends to have the most people running around. You can go to any noob area regardless of your race btw so it doesn’t really matter.

80 engi who just finished (finally) my first world completion last weekend. Malchor’s and CS were my last 2 zones to do. I enjoy being in orr much more now than I did previously actually. You will eventually pick up some tricks for getting around and through the hordes of risen. The more time I spend there the more I appreciate the environment.
If you are trying to do world completion, ash legion spy kits help immensely with commune skill points.
Dredgehaunt is still the worst zone in the game in my book.
1 is the most important thing. Getting in a fun, active guild increases enjoyment of the game exponentially. Don’t just settle for the first guild spam you see in LA. Try a few out and find the best fit.
As pointed out before, armor should NOT get damaged in WvW and PvP. These gameplay styles are based on skill and team work. The only penalty for failing is death – which you respawn. Putting emphasis on having to repair after death deters from the core gameplay mechanics that WvW and PvP is.
You get rewarded in wvw with karma and gold so there needs to be some risk involved. Walking back from a free waypoint does not count.
There will be chests. they are already mentioned on the event page.
It takes time to use the MF, dragging items into the slot and hitting the button.
double click them…. you deserve the carpal tunnel if you constantly drag to the forge.
transfers are still free but limited to once a week. Picking your initial server doesn’t count as a transfer so you can jump right after if you need to.
This question and many like it are answered in the wiki.
“When applicable, the stats of the character that activated the finisher are used to calculate the combo effects. This is most relevant to combos that inflict damaging conditions, as well as the healing effects of Water Fields. "
Your CPU is awful. GW2 is a very cpu-intensive game.
If you eat enough fiber is there a chance that you will grow into a large dung guild?
It would be cool if they have different sizes/styles of halls which cost different amounts. My guild is creeping up to 200k influence in the bank and not much to spend it on. A keep of our own would be nice. You guys could spent 10k or whatever and get a guild cottage.
Maguuma has a public wvw mumble server. Not really a noob q&a place but you can probably get some answers before getting told to eat a bag of kitten.
I wonder if I’ll see Awesome and the others here soon.
Oh hi!
This just goes to show: begging on the forum doesn’t work. Save your dignity people.
It seems like some people won’t be happy until mesmers can only cast mantras on a 2 minute cooldown.
If you enjoy trolling please take it elsewhere as this is not an opinion or thought on the matter at all, thank you.
What sort of responses are you expecting when you post a whine thread that gets brought up like once a week?
Congratulations on your wall of text.
You say this and then post two walls of your own…
IME the rewards actually went up for most of what I do. As long as the event isn’t less than 2/3 your level, your benefit increased from what it used to be.
They also greatly increased the rate that high lvl items drop from low lvl mobs.
An 80 running a lvl 5 event for example gets about half the straight event rewards they used to but the extra drops more than make up for the lower cash reward.
There is definitely a strong racial bias in this game. I won’t play a sylvari character in protest.
I also don’t like salad.
Use what you need. You will end up with lots of karma from events and daily/monthly jugs and there’s not a lot to spend it on at 80 other than temple armor and obsidian shards.
Interesting. So you would beat to death a naked helpless character begging for you to spare his life?
Without hesitation. This would make me laugh quite a bit actually.
Your badges are as good as anyone’s.
edit: although now that I see your guild tag I might get a laugh out of that instead and let you go. Would depend on my mood.

Don’t tell me to go to a LFG website…
You’d rather use nothing and not get a group? Might as well use the tools available to you right now.
But we can still take damage in towns…
They rebalanced the rewards 80s get from low level events. I haven’t seen anything saying it extended to any other parts of the game though.
Not to mention your characters were lvl 5, not 80.
Really poor planning on your part. You can always delete some stuff to make room.
