Max-size fat norn is the correct race. I went with warrior for mine but guardian is also an acceptable choice.

Just make sure to do your dailies to stock up on karma jugs and it won’t be a problem.

Your problem was expecting to get anything of value out of the gifts. Chances that a bell or tonic will drop are miniscule. Find some skins you like, make some minis and tonics, play the games, have some fun without worrying about getting a huge payday at the end.

I think the only real reasons are to see the story of destiny’s edge unfold and so you can be the first one into future explorable instances of that dungeon.

I classify one worthwhile item over a multi-day sale as really disappointing. I suppose we may differ in our use of the phrase.

Last time I did artificing it was like a gold for 1-400.

There is an option to turn on a clock. I think it shows up when you hover over the minimap.

Lead a charge and capture those points you need!

People have no idea if you’re undercutting them unless you advertise it for some reason.

Mesmer is better in wvw than engineer in almost every situation. Engi is probably the most fun and at the same time least effective class to play under any normal circumstances.

OP: you straight up can’t do numbers like that on an engi.

Try searching for “gw2 crafting guide” on youtube for basics on what the heck you should be doing when you open the crafting window.

For flamethrower dps to equal simple rifle dps you need like 20+ stacks of might. If you want to roll around with that sort of handicap for a gain of an aoe blind and a pushback be my guest.

try and find a decent guild on your server. Also your friends can play with you regardless of being 30 levels higher due to downleveling.

Flamethrower for leveling is bad because the kit is even more worthless until you can get juggernaut at 60. Med kit is a perfectly fine choice for your healing slot (I use it more often than not) but I don’t know why you would think it has anything to do with using the flamethrower. You won’t be spending all your time sitting in med kit tossing heals to people.

Rifle/grenades/elixir gun is about as good as engi gets in pve right now. p/p elixir builds are also relatively effective (and really easy to play) but I find it super boring.

If by “quite well” you mean worse than basically any other option then sure.
